What happens when she’s had enough?

Lake Monroe has given in to her childhood tormentor too many times. She knows it, he knows it, and even their enemies know it. To survive him, she knew she had to give in to fear once more or suffer the deadly consequences...

But Lake experienced what it was like to submit to the dark and demanding boy who invaded her dreams. Now she’ll experience what it’s like to fight him.

What happens when he wants more?

Keiran Masters has a past that is both shocking and dark. Once enslaved, he now has demons he can’t escape—demons that have followed him for ten years, demons he blames his beautiful obsession for. He promised to make her pay. He promised to make her break...

But after Keiran had conquered her body and tasted her submission, he found a new addiction instead—one he has no intention of giving up.

As secrets unfold,
Identities are revealed,
Danger closes in,
And they both discover what it really means to fear...

★★★★★! Fear You, book 2 of 3. The shocking conclusion to Keiran & Lakes complex, sinister, addictive & kinky story!

“Making her fear me was only half the battle. I needed to make her want me, too.”

Books in Broken Love series should be read in order:
Book 1: Fear Me - Keiran & Lake
Book 2: Fear You - Keiran & Lake
Book 3: Fear Us - Keenan & Sheldon
Book 4: Breaking Love - Dash & Willow
Book 5: Fearless - Keiran & Lake

♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫
“River Deep Mountain High” by Tina Turner (early edition) captures this story for me: ♫ CLICK TO LISTEN ♫
♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫

In Fear Me (book 1) we caught up with high school senior Lake Monroe as her bully and tormentor of 10 years Keiran Masters came back from serving time in jail.

The story followed them as Kieran continued his bullying, but with sexual overtones. Their attraction is palpable yet Keiran was hateful, volatile, dominant, relentless, possessive and severe in his seduction and ruining of Lake.

Fear You (book 2) picks up shortly after book 1’s volatile and shocking ending and goes on to follow them for the remainder of their school year in ups and downs; on again, off again as Lake tries piece together the enigma that is Keiran Masters while fighting her feelings for him. Meanwhile Keiran is confused and torn between wanting to protect, hurt and dominate Lake.

All this set against the backdrop of the unfolding of both Keiran and Lake’s dark pasts. It’s very much a race against time and sinister forces out to hurt them all. Nothing could have prepared them for the shocking connection between their past and present setting their lives into a tailspin.

“I’m coming for you, Lake.”

Keiran Maters is my new favorite BOY alpha. In story he is described as tall, dark and brooding. Add possessive, calculated, broken, complex, closed off, vindictive, commanding, captivating, charming and sinister to that and you have the Keiran he lets the world see. The story will dig into his mind and his past to try to explain the enigma that is Keiran Masters.

“I’m not afraid to die. I’m just unwilling.”

Lake Monroe is a survivor. This is her journey of coming to terms with her intense attraction to her tormentor. Seven words to describe Lake: Reflective, naïve, broken, loyal, strong, conflicted and meek.

“You don’t know me beyond my cock, Monroe. Don’t pretend otherwise.”

Fear You, told from dual POV, is captivating tale of people and events circling around dark secrets. Story offers the very best of character development, mystery, secrets, kink and shockers. The driving force is Keiran and his complex, menacing, possessive and commanding ways and the sexual tension overload.

Story has a good, happy ending, but given their ages I’d welcome an extended epilogue some 10-15 years into their future. Up next is Keenan’s story in, book 3: Fear Us.

Larger-than-life sinister alpha BOY hero, Keiran Masters! Sizzling and kinky sex scenes! Spell-binding plot! Effortless story-telling! Dark, sexual, mysterious and addictive! 6-star shelf!

“I was as much her sexual prisoner as she was mine. Those would be the times I took her the hardest and unleashed my cruelty on her.”

Action, Anger And Angst

Like the first book, this book left me trying to define how I feel about Keiran and Lake. There was a lot of angry sexual situations and a love/hate vibe right up to the end. I recently finished the 'Hate F#@k' series and I've gotta say that the title would have been more fitting for this series. I feel like high school might be a little early to be referring to couples therapy, but holy hell, do these two ever need it!

This book unearthed more of Keiran's past and revealed some pretty surprising connections. He's still a pretty big butthole, but in more of a tortured-soul sort of way now. Slowly, his feelings are rising to the surface and a more vulnerable human side of Keiran comes alive.

However, the dysfunctional and abusive pattern between Keiran and Lake was a bit tedious. How many times can you swear off someone, only to fall back into bed with them again, and expect to be taken seriously when you swear them off yet again? Ditto for treating somebody in a cruel and humiliating manner to "distance yourself for their own good". After awhile it just gets irritating and the characters just seem dense.

I still enjoyed the series and will read the third book upon it's release, but I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. Mainly, I think the back and forth cycle between Keiran and Lake got pretty tiring. I'm hoping they've turned a new leaf now, but it should have happened much earlier. Hopefully, the next book will focus more on Keenan and Sheldon, changing it up a little.

WHAT 18 YEAR OLDS IN THIS BOOK DOING/HAVE BEEN THROUGH

→ teacher calling their student "bitch" infront of their face (where are the parents?)
→ some secret crime organization's coming after them
→ they killed their mother because because of said organisation forced them to
→ they were part of this organization for years, cause their father sold them for money
→ got a full training to become something close to an assasin
→ killed don't know how many people
→ their father's trying to kill them and their brother
→ one's been shot and needs a lung
→ one's being charged for two murders
→ skipping school too many times and the guardians don't give a shit
→ part of a gun fight where the other one has been shot
→ got kidnapped and held at gunpoint

THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT HAPPENED IN MY LIFE WHEN I WAS THAT AGE:

→ graduated high school
→ ate fried scorpion
→ went sky-diving

In comparison, it's like I haven been really alive. What a shame. Shoutout to my parents for not selling me to some crime mafia, cuz I'd be dead before they could ask where the money is.

#1 Rape Fear Me ↠ 1 star
#2 Fear You ↠ 1.05 stars

The .05 extra is for the fact that the H stopped raping the h in this book. There is nothing better than a good ✨character development✨.

***5 "The Dark Lord" stars from me***

"Dear Diary . . .
It’s been a long time now and I miss my parents. I wish they would change their mind and not leave me behind. Every day I go to my new school and every day he makes me cry. I think I’m supposed to hate him, but all I want to do is help him."

God, what a difficult and emotional ride was that!!!!

And imagine that i thought that the first book was tough...
This one broke my heart in tiny million pieces again and again!!!
How much pain can bare a soul??? How can you witness such things and to stay untouched???

Keiran's past made my tears to fall unstoppable...

Keiran and Lake's present was so damn hard and frustrated me as hell...
It was so difficult for them to come to their redemption...

As for their future together???
Thank God that i finally manage to crack a smile!!!

In this book, we finally received the answers to a million questions from the first book and even more that they were created during the second installment...

We saw new people and already known to us people...
We realized the how and the why's of the actions that led in some interesting facts...
We saw the tables to get turned, hidden feelings to come to light, old and new enemies to seek for revenge... and in the middle of all this madness was Keiran and Lake.

The tormentor and his victim.
The boy which for ten years inflicted fear to an innocent girl.
But what if the big bad wolf was the one who was scared of the innocent and pure lamb????

“There were many times I’d come close to giving in to the torment in Monroe’s eyes but never did.
I never would either.
Because she was also the only person who could destroy me.
She just didn’t know it."

I already told you how much i loved Keiran in the first book.

He was an asshole, he liked to inspire fear and he was beyong the average teenage boy.
He was ruthless and bad and he wasn't hesistate in front of anything!!!!
Yep, i know that many of you will think that it is extremely unrealistic to exist a person like that at this age. But i think that nothing is impossible in real life, especially when you were forced to live the first years of your life like Keiran was forced to...

"ONE MAN'S GREED IS ANOTHER MAN'S TRAGEDY."

In the first book, we were having only Lake's POV, but in this one we were having both POV's and mostly from Keiran's side and that was sooooo... interesting and enlightening!!!
It was amazing the experience to be inside his head, but his memories were unbearable... They were killing me and they were making me so sad!!!

His life wasn't full of rose petals, but full of cutting thorns, so he had to grow up sooner than the other kinds. He had to be in control all the time and he had to not feel, because feelings were meant weakness...
That's why he was hated so much Lake... Because he made him feel...

I think that this book was dedicated mostly to Keiran. It was only for him and it was worth it!!!!

“I may not have a heart, but if I were you, I’d be afraid of what beats in its place.

I won't lie to you... Lake and Keiran frustrated me so much that sometimes i felt furious with them...
At the end of the previous book, we left them apart and Lake made something stupid that led Keiran in prison!
Now, he is pissed off and he wants to take revenge even more than before...

But there are some holes in his plans!!!
Firstly, she made him feel something unknown and secondly, he can't be near to her without touching her...
OH!!! Except the above the little smooth kitty turned out to be a tiger. His little victim stood up and she is starting to confront him all the time...

And that is turning him on and pissing him off at the same time!!!
So between them is starting for once again a small war, but at the same time they surrounded them many dangers. So where they will have to focus???

“Then you’d better be ready to pay the consequences. You don’t want me the way you think you do, and you definitely don’t want me as an enemy. This isn’t going to end with love, baby. This is just another tragedy waiting to happen.”
“Like Lily?” she asked. “Was that really her tragedy or yours, and whose will it be this time? Yours? Or mine?”
“It will be both of ours.”

Yep, as you read above Lake started to fight back and i was proud of her but at the same time i was feeling a little bit angry. Why i felt like that???
I think that she decided to fight back a little bit late and she made it for the wrong reasons...

It pissing me off that she had made cause of her life to land Keiran in jail...
Sweetheart, first you should now for sure that he did what you accussed him that he did.
Yep, he was far from a saint, but he didn't deserved this treatment.
And i think that she should have fight back, back then in the previous book before the things comes to that ugly point...

“Stop calling me Monroe. My name is Lake, and I wasn’t aware I was supposed to make anything easy for you. Should I show you the same mercy you showed me?”
I grabbed her face with my hands and held her eyes. “I want you to realize what’s at stake here if you keep pushing me.”
“You never played fair before,” she whispered.
Fuck.
I let her face go. Those twinkling blue-green eyes were pure torture to my dick. “I don’t know what I want more—to kiss you or kill you.”

For once again, there was so much denial in this book...
No, Keiran and Lake weren't having feelings for each other, that's why in every opportunity they were jumbing each other's bones!!!

Ugh-hu!!! Keep thinking that!!!
I will admit that their scenes together were hot as hell, but they were much less that the first book!!!
I wanted Keiran and Lake together... What can i say???
I'm a very sick person, but don't judge me!!! They are just fictional characters!!! In real life, i really don't know how i would react!!!

Beyond that, the story was well written and it was having so much suspense and agony!!!
You didn't know what to expect in every turn.
You didn't know what will chase them and how they were gonna overpass all those dangerous people that they were after them!!!

Also, i would like to say that i loved all the other characters that they were surrounding them... especially Keenan and Sheldon... Willow and Dash...
And because their lives also turned upside down, i would like to see them find their happiness too!!!

And now, it is Keenan's turn who had a difficult time with what happened to him and all the secrets that split his world apart...

I really would like to see Keiran's and Keenan relationship to get healed... They deserved it!!!

The scene with Keiran and his mother, i think it cracked me down!!!
It's true!!! I'm addicted to this series and especially to Keiran and i honestly don't know how i will survive without him!!!
Yep, he was the monster, the bad guy, but he got into me really deep!!!

And together with Lake, they give another meaning to the term "Broken love"!!!
More broken that this could not ever exist!!!

"“I want to be yours, but are you sure you can live with a broken love like ours?”
“I think it’s been proven I can take whatever you throw at me. Love is much more powerful than fear.”
I couldn’t deny what we had was born out of darkness, but instead of pulling her into my dark world, she led me to a light I wasn’t sure I even deserved."

I just finished the book and all I can think is...

description

The first part of this book was pretty dull and if not for the fact that I was curious about how things where going to turn out I was ready to DNF it.

description

But after the first half of the story...

description

If you haven't read the first book in this series, Fear Me, this novel isn't going to make much sense to you so I recommend reading that one first.

On the other hand, if you've read and liked the first novel then you're definitely already intending to read this one no matter what I say.

description

Lake finally grows a back bone and stands up to Keiran...to the extend that she tries to (and succeeds) :P

Keiran makes a deal with the devil to get out meanwhile more of his secrets start to unravel until almost everything we knew is no longer the truth.

description

In the end we do get the HEA for Keiran and Lake but the story isn't over and all we Broken Love series fans will surely read what the author throes at us next :P

“You are my scared little girl, Lake.....And I am your big, bad wolf.”

Okay, this is the most extreme bullying/falling for my tormentor story that I have read that takes place in high school.

Everything is to the extreme: the hatred, the bullying, the toxic love, the unbelievable background story of Keiran, the killings, the dysfunctional relationships between all the characters.
But somehow it worked and I loved it!

This is the second part of the love/hate story between Lake and Keiran and it does not feel like a conclusion but more like a second episode in their relationship. There will be answers for many questions. Lake did not have an easy childhood as well and not just because of Keiran.

Finally Lake will learn not only to fight Keiran but she will also learn to fight FOR him and destroy all his insecurities. And I was cheering for her, when it happened.

“Maybe I don’t want roses.” I bit his bottom lip, which instantly led to a kiss that threatened to consume us both. “Maybe I prefer your thorns.”
“One day you will.”
Don’t fight this, baby. “One day isn’t today,” I countered.
“Are you willing to take that chance?”
Yes. “Maybe.”
“I’m not worth it.”
“For a guy who oozes sex appeal, you have zero self-esteem.”

...Keiran will sometimes be her villain, but most times now he will be her hero.

I would paint this fucking town red if I have to until I found her.

The ending of the book felt more like “that's it for now”. So we will definitely have more Keiran and Lake in the next books.

TITLE: Fear You
SERIES: (Broken Love, #2)
AUTHOR: B.B.Reid
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
EXPECTED PUBLICATION: May 11th 2015
MY RATING: ★★★★★

A DOWNWARD SPIRAL INTO THE DARKNESS

What I love most about this author is her writing style and the way she works her magic on us readers, as soon as I opened this I was sucked into her web of story telling, not once did I look at my kindle app to see how many hours to go to finish or how many pages I had to read to get to the end, I just turned off life and at no time at all I'd finished it..

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Like with Book #1 this book also surprised me on so many levels, it's gritty, it's raw, it's hot, it's sexy, it's intense, and it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what else this author was going to throw at me and those twists and turns just kept coming!!

When Keiran came back into my life he came with a vengeance.

What I really liked starting this is the fact that it started off right where book#1 left off so there was no having to re-fresh the memory..

A TRAGIC LOVE STORY

Lake has finally grown a pair of big hairy balls because she's come back fighting!!

I'm not afraid of you any more, Keiran

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I was only ever called two things in my life. Slave and Keiran. Gabriel was someone I never got to be - and someone I never would be. Keiran was here to stay.

There is no better feeling than finally standing up to your childhood bully

With Keiran you get more of a feel for him in this book, he shows more of a vulnerable side, it's kind of like they have switched, she's hard ass and he's confused..With her don't mess with me attitude it's made him sit back and take stock of her feelings in some way more, he's by no means a pussy though, he's still that monster that hides under your bed!!

She didn't deserve to be with someone like me who wasn't capable of love.

This book was SO GOOD it made me cry...

description

... are just all over the place. But they were happy tears of course cause this book was just that good. Mind you I'm really depressed that it's over and that I'll have to wait a while for my next fix.

*Pouts*

description

Anyway, I'm currently sporting a major book hangover and quite honestly...

description

This book was the perfect blend of danger, action, tension, suspense, darkness and sexy (thank-you Keiran) and I love how Lake and almost all the females in this series are more than capable of standing up for themselves. Even against big, bad scary guys like Keiran. So thank-you B.B. Reid for providing us all with this amazing book and I can't wait to read more of you - hopefully in the very near future. ;) For those of you who haven't got the hint yet... DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GO READ THIS BOOK!

Fear You met every hope and high criteria i had. It was a reader's fantasy -or better yet, wet dream- come true. And no that wasn't because Keiran Masters is a delectable son-of-a-bitch but because B.B. Reid did such an amazing job with the writing, the characters' development and everything in between, to make me a fan of her work for the rest of my life.

After such a powerful start i was on the edge of my seat and with good reason, because what followed after the abrupt ending of the previous book, had my heart clenching and fear about our main couple eating me alive. And yes, every crazy thing that could have happened, indeed happened but in such an awesome way that you can't even imagine it.

I know i can't control my gassing tendencies concerning this book but don't judge me, it's been a long time since i read something so good. Anyway enough with the mindless rambling, let's talk a bit about the story now. Which by the way was better constructed than in the first book and with a huge bonus, the unfiltered tapping inside Keiran's mind.

So yes, the biggest change here is the alternate POV. We get to know things in such a way that even though it reveals more about the characters and situations, it doesn't rob us from the obvious anticipation of what is gonna go wrong next and also Keiran is finally showing his human side, through his memories and the secret feelings he hides regarding Lake.

The revelations are too many to count, the noose is tighten around our characters and yet they still find a way to torment each other continuously . But Lake even though she admitted being in love with Keiran, this time she won't be the push-over she used to be. Growing a back-bone is definitely great but our girl had me rolling my eyes on her at many scenes.

Still though the story was once again addictive and pure entertainment. Dark and painful, hurtful and over-the-top in the best way possible. New villains make their presence known along with some undetected allies. Family ties along with longtime friendships are on the verge and nothing will be the same after all is said and done. And the very best thing? Everything and everyone is connected.

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK

- My song choice for this one Gangsta by Kehlani.
- The writing is much better, Huge overall improvement.
- I felt at points that Lake didn't want to see the truth about Keiran's innocence.
- Q has an interesting story to tell.
- I loved the scene in the end when Keiran was shot. It was sweet and brutal at the same time. Beautiful.
- I don't like Diana!
- Sheldon is great in this one.
- More high-school everyday life in here. It makes is more real.
- Q, Di and Jesse?? Where is this book? I Need it.
- Lake whines too much in this book.
- Valentine's Day!! AWW! And what an irony, Keiran's birthday..
- The fleas scene had me cackling like a hyena. Amazing and hilarious. I wished for more scenes like this one.
- What a thrilling story overall! I love it to bits.

I AM CHANGING MY MIND - THIS IS 5 STARS!

This book got my attention ALL DAY! It was so intense and emotional and SEXY ! I LOVED THE DUAL POV !
The MCs are so different (in the better way)! Yes, there are moments when you want to slap them so hard but beside that you can see that they finally give chance to their feelings to come on the surface!
I was hard to them and the sexual tension become too much at times, soooo when they finally realize that they are stonger together I was a really happy gal !!!

“I spent the last eleven years making your life hell. I’m ready to spend the rest of mine making it up to you. Spoiling you is just the start. Will you let me?„

And those sexy scene though....

aaaand a little bit of thaaat...

okey, last one...

OKAY, you get the picture, these books were SEXY! Kieran was SEXY! Lake was SEXY! Everyone WAS SEXY!

But these books was so much other things too!
In the beginning Kieran & Lake are still in their so-called war and they want to revenge their desicions about eachother and there are so many feelings there! They still want to punish themselves but not like before ! They need each other and they protect each other... in their own ways!

“My only mission became to save her. I wanted to be the very person I grew up hating. I wanted to be her hero.”

And after so many secrets were unraveld and I was eagerrrrrrr to know EVERYTHING !

“Making her fear me was only half the battle. I needed to make her want me, too.”

Sooo I waited to see Kieran soft side...

I LOVED LAKE IN THIS BOOK! This girl was a beast! I loved that she changed, she fought for herself and she was not afraid to ask and want the answers she desreved to know! She wasn't afraid anymore and that was impressive given the fact the she was bullied for 10 years Pretty much all the girls in these books were kickass and I was really happy about that!

And the thing she did about . High five, girl!

We met so many assholes (that I needed to kick in the butt) in this book! But, as always, sexy Kieran and his possessiveness was always there to handle the situation!
All of the boys in these books were capable to stand for themselves and they weren't afraif to be badass! There are scenes where all you think is OMG WHAT IS GOING ON? IS IT GOING TO BE OKAY? and some when you think You better run, madafaka! .. sooo yeaaaah! Do NOT tempt these guys!
Because....

Kieran & Lake had their bad moments, harsh words and broken hearts..

But after everything they've done and they've been through they finally got their Happily ever after , the one thing they didn't believe in! It was beautiful and emotional but it was worth it . They helped each other and they healed the wounds together!
They lived in a lie and when the truth was out the only thing they wanted was to be with the one who will always be honest with, the one who complete you and protec you.. they understand that they already found who that person is!
They found themselves!

“She was the bane of my existence, and at the very same, the reason I cared to exist.”

I am waiting for the next book, NOT SO PATIENTLY, because I know it will be soooo good, just like these two! I loved Keenan and Sheldon and I WANT TO SEE THEIR HEA, damn it! My heart broke for theeeem :(

Title: ➳ Fear You
Series ➳Broken Love Series 2#
Author: ➳ B.B. Reid
Published May 11, 2015

There was a lot of angry sexual situations & a love/hate relationship right up to the end.

I seriously had whiplash from these two on & off … a love/hate relationship… I didn’t know if they were on or off in each chapter.. Even though after say that, I was still sucked into her web of story

All I going say about this book is :

I love when author started off right where the last book left off

I loved when Keiran came back into the scene, he came with a vengeance. Only to find out that: Lake has finally grown a pair of balls, Cuz she's come back fighting!! That girl

There was plenty of action & suspense in this book ..

📚 I now wanna read Keenan book after getting sneak peek at the end of this book.
On to Fear us

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕

Nice wrap up of Lake and Kieran’s story!

**Note: This review contains spoilers from the end of the last book, so if you haven’t read that book yet, you may not want to read this review.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😕😊😄😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lake Monroe - she was bullied by Kieran Masters for ten years and even bullied into a relationship with him, but still she fell in love with him. Until he broke up with her for her own good. He told her that he no longer wanted her. She ran and accidentally found out some news about her family that had been kept from her. She ended up betraying Kieran when something happened that she was sure he was responsible for but didn’t agree with.

The Hero: Kieran Masters - he had a terrible childhood; he was sold to a group of individuals who used him for nefarious purposes and turned him into a killer. He has been obsessed with Lake Monroe for years and has continually treated her horribly. He has control issues and definite anger management issues. His life is a mess after everything that happened at the end of the last book. His father whom he thought was dead, has reappeared and is now missing and has taken his uncle.

The Story: So much happened and was revealed at the end of the last book. We found out all about Kieran’s childhood and his family. Keenan is in the hospital and possibly dying, Kieran broke up with Lake and Lake has recently betrayed him. Sheldon found out Keened had cheated on her again and broke up with Keenan for good. Finally, Lake moved in with her aunt’s friends and may finish out high school in that district.

This one was good, but not quite as good as the first book. I was a bit disappointed that Kieran was still mean to Lake quite a bit in this book. I was mostly him pushing her away because he thinks she will be safer away from him, which is always a stupid reason in my opinion. There were still quite a few bad guys and lots of suspense in this book and of course there was plenty of steam. Kieran and Lake love to hook up (just about anywhere) and they are quite rough with each other.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton. These are two of my favorite narrators. Teddy Hamilton has a very relatable voice and is great at showing emotion through his voice. Ava Erickson has a nice soft, feminine voice which sounds age appropriate for Lake.

4,5 Fearless Stars!

Review by Lisa Kane

Sometimes a book comes along and it stays with you. You might read twenty books after it, but it becomes one of your "go to" books. The ones you read when you want familiarity; when you just want to get lost in a book you loved. Fear Me became one of those books. Lake and Keiran's messed up, sexed up, f#*ked up romance gave me everything I love in a great story. Drama, sex, angst, humor and in their case, even a little suspense. Would I find the same magic with Fear You?

Keiran Masters has bullied Lake Monroe for the last ten years. In his twisted mind, she reminds him of a little girl, Lily who had a profound effect on his life. Keiran insists that his obsession with Lake is just that-an obsession; nothing more. When Fear Me ended, Keiran had rejected Lake in order to protect her from his father, Mitch; Keenan (his cousin) was shot and was in critical condition and had betrayed his girlfriend Sheldon again, and their good friends Willow and Dash still were at odds with each other.

Fear You answers most of the lingering questions that spilled over from Fear Me. Keiran is in jail because of Lake's accusations that he killed Anya and Trevor. He is out for her blood. But at the same time, his obsession and need for her hasn't lessened and he craves her more than ever. Lake thinks she has some time before he will get out of jail and she is trying to get her life together. Some ugly facts about her aunt's whereabouts during her six week absence are starting to pop up. Lake can't handle any information about her parents' mysterious deaths.

When Keiran gets out, Lake is afraid that he will want revenge-she knows she will be caught in the crosshairs, but she's afraid so will her aunt and those she cares about. She won't be a victim anymore. This is a stronger, although still naive, Lake. Keiran is frustrated beyond belief, he must remain in control. Losing his control of Lake is messing with his head. Sex with her has always guaranteed her submission. But things are changing!

Neither one of them will admit their feelings for each other go way beyond lust. Keiran is still the Alpha male to the max and is willing to hurt anyone who tries to touch Lake. There are so many unscrupulous players in this book. Keiran's childhood history of being a killer slave dominates much of the storyline. The adults who ran these slave trades are interwoven in the story's fabric and Keiran is playing a dangerous game of revenge. That game is going to risk both his and Lake's lives.

"Keiran-"
"If you ever let another man touch you, I will kill you on the spot. Are we clear?"

In spite of the suspense and drama surrounding the mystery of Keiran's parents and his childhood, Fear You remains a love story about two people, drawn together by their incredible chemistry, who are determined to deny their love for each other. But sometimes, in spite of their best efforts, their hearts will overrule their heads' objections. They may have a love/hate relationship, but no matter how many times each rejects the other, they are constantly pulled back in. But can they ever have any kind of normalcy in their relationship? Will fear and control always be an overriding factor between them? Is it okay for two people to be broken as long as their broken pieces fit together as a whole?

Eventually, she would want more, and I would once again become the monster that tormented her in high school when I realized I was unable to give her what she needed.

Fear You did not disappoint! So many of my questions were answered. Keiran will probably always be an anti-hero, it's who he is and that's okay with Lake. Now if we can only get Sheldon and Keenan back on track!

Lake was not stronger she was still too weak for my liking oh come on this girl has all these thoughts of beating Kieran at his own game and showing him how much stronger she is now than as soon as he comes near her and touches her she melts like goo and acts like a nympho on crack! throughout the book Lake kept doing that and I just felt like slapping her and saying stop with your inner strong girl thoughts because you are not showing that by caving into Kieran so easily every time! As you can tell Lake annoyed me and I don't think she will ever be an endearing character for me Kieran on the other hand I loved and found him fascinating he had so much depth and I love my anti hero`s so he was my ideal male lead. if not for Lake I would have given this book 4* but she let the book down for me otherwise writing was great Kieran was awesome and storyline kept me engaged.

After finishing Fear me, I hunted B.B Reid down with the intent of getting the answers I needed but fell short when she told me that I wouldn't receive them until May. :( BOO!!!

So I walked away, tail tucked between my legs. Then she told me I would get an ARC and my life turned upside down. I stayed up until way past 3AM devouring this book until I could no longer keep my eyes opened. Not only do you get to find out what happens to Keiran, and Lake but you get insight into the secondary characters.

"I'm afraid for him because everyday he has to fight the person he is to be the person he wants to be" What happens if he loses? "People get hurt."

Gah. This story had me feeling so many emotions. Getting Keiran's POV was so important in this story because we really needed to know his emotions for Lake. More so I personally needed to know if he cared for her, or if she was just being strung along. Then there was Lake who made me second guess everything I knew about her from the first book. I thought I knew her, but I was wrong, so wrong. She changed in ways that were unimaginable and really became a stronger person. The humor, and ohmyfuckinggod the sex scenes were amazeaballs!! Reid knows how to write a story that surpasses all others. She weaves an interject tale filled with suspense, and romance that will have you hanging off your seat, and panting the next.

This story contains dark themes, but please know that if you come to the dark side we have Keiran, AND cookies! ;)

You're weak, Keiran. And now you're the one who is afraid."

This series is intense. it's a dark romance with a dark plot. This book revealed lots of Kiernan's past and it makes a lot of sense why Kiernan is like the way he is. I adored Lake and Kiernan together.

Audiobook review. Sometimes you push someone so far that their instincts kick in and they change into a different, more raw version of themselves. What I liked most about this story was that it shows the adaptability of us as humans. Lake still had the things we love about her but there was a darker edge to her that was really prominent this go around. We got to know Keiran’s past and motivations. It didn’t make him any less of a anti-hero but it gave him dimensions that wouldn’t have been as impactful without the background.

I loved that Keiran protected Lake, at times even from himself. I loved that Lake had no qualms about outing herself and her actions to Keiran. Those two have the love-hate concept down pat.

The writing hooked me off the bat. The imagery and prose was consistent from book to book. The secondary characters were used to add conflict and to move the story forward. We need Q’s story, BB!

The narrators did a great job with the tone, pace, and pitch. The voices really matched what I envision Keiran and Lake to sound like.

I read the ebook several times and a $1.99 addon for audio is just not a deal to pass up. Absolutely worth it 😍

Wow, I had so much expectations from this book ... when I heard that is going to be a book 2 I was happy, because I wanted lake to fight and stand up for herself !! That's why I was so disappointed when I read the book...
The story took a turn and became a thriller story and not reliable at all...It almost did not deal with their relationship and there were too many details and points that do not connect...It seemed in the middle of the story that Something was going to happen and there were some good parts but in the end the book is not fulfilled his promise ... sorry Reid,
I'm looking forward to read your next book.

I ended up enjoying the first two books in this series revolving around Keiran and Lake ..a after a rocky start on the first book. Keiran is one major OTT alpha with a side of crazy. Him only being 18/19 but a little unbelievable at times considering all of the power he seemed to wield. If I had one complaint, it would be the amount of coincidence's we had at the end.. that being said, I did enjoy this one and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Two and a half stars. I really wanted to like this book much better than I did. I just didn't at all. Lake drove me nuts and I couldn't stand her mouth and her bitchiness at all. All she wanted to do was screw Keiran over, and do everything she could to get him into prison. Keiran came around as a more likable character (for me anyhow), but really hoped to see more a draw between the two. I did enjoy learning more of Kieran's back story, but the story was so drawn out, long and busy. I really struggled to get through to the end of this book. For me, this one lost a bit of the magic that made the first story work.

3 I love Teddy Hamilton as the male narrator.

This was a filler book until the last hour.

Gah, I hate to say it, but it was hard to listen to this one. Look, the book on audio is in Kindle Unlimited and other than losing 9 hours of my life, I had nothing to lose. I also Love Teddy Hamilton so that kind of made me stick with the series.

I hold out for hope that Keiran will turn around. If you think he will, well let’s just say this book is 100% like the first book, EXCEPT Lake grows a little back bone, BUT it’s not that big, more like a twig, but hey it’s something.

If there was a theme to the book it would be White Fang. You ever heard of that term? Where you love someone so much you will do everything in your power to protect them, by leaving them? Yeah, push them away, make them feel like ass. That is the theme of this book and get ready for the rocky ride.

I listened to this book on my trip to NY and it seriously put me in a bad mood. I was angry and pissy the entire time because of this book. It will make you bitter and angry, but that’s how I am. I’m an emotional reader and I feel for the characters.

I love Kerian’s POV because I get a better insight to why HE’S AN ASS all the time. Good grief, thank goodness because I was losing all faith in that boy. Does he seem a little more badass in this book? Yes. We get a better glimpse of his past and although I found those parts a little hard to listen to and kind of boring, I needed to understand why he’s so fucked up.

Lake is immature and annoying. Even though she has a back bone, I find her “back bone” really immature. Putting fleas on someone’s bed? Oh my gosh, really? Are we like 12 years old? In the last book Lake turns Keiran in because she is 100% dead set he killed those people, but did she see him do it? NO! But he’s the last person to see them. Gah that girl is stupid. I really hated the angsty plot and I know people love angst, but I really wanted to bash the girl in the head.

How does Kerian react? Oh by being mean to Lake and fucking her and then humiliating her. It’s like an vicious endless cyle.

We kind a little more of Lake’s past and yeah I said it’s a filler book, but I guess it should be called a boring book about who is Kerian and how he is tied to Lake. Could it have have been explained within the first 30% of the book, YES! Was it? NO!

To my shock, I’m going to listen to the next book. It’s because of the last hour of the book. If it wasn’t for that, I would probably have thrown in the towel, but hold out for hope it doesn’t make me angry like this one.
