Angel Payne really caught me off guard with this one. Wet was not what I thought it would be but it was a wonderful surprise. Best friends and a woman who brings them both to their knees with supporting characters that are both essential to the story and interesting.
Tait and Kellan are as close as brothers. Unfortunately, they see things a little different. Kellan can't understand what Tait is going through or how to get him to see that there is not much he can do but live with it. He's tried to get him to accept his loss and move on but, the bottom of a bottle is all that Tait can see. Until she comes into their lives. Tait thinks he's seeing a ghost. Kellen just sees a goddess.
Hokulani has enough problems. The last thing that she needs is two grown men wreaking more havoc in her life. Raising Leo, her teen-age brother, having Benson still trying everything in his power to get his hands on Hale Anelas, trying to make ends meet and now this. Two gorgeous men from Franz's unit stepping in and fighting her battles. But, the biggest thing she can't get over is how attracted she is to both of them. It may be time for a little Lani fun but, they're best friends, how does she chose? As the choice is made for her, her heart also reaches out to the other. As both of their intentions are made perfectly clear, maybe her fantasies can come true. But, she still has her original problem and now, there are even more problems with Leo and with the real reason why Benson wants her problem.
As the truth comes out and Kellan and Tait takes things to the next level, she has to come to terms with her feelings. She also has to explain to both of them what she has been going through, what has been going on in her head for the past few months. She also has to trust Hale Anelas to the two men who she has grown to love and respect.
I was really interested in this story from beginning to end. Angel Payne made it fun and intriguing … an interesting combination. In fact, I laughed out loud within the first 5 minutes of reading Wet … Hokulani was just perfect. Then, things started getting serious. I was surprised with the all the twists and turns in the story and how it was all solved. With surprise characters and a wonderful happily-ever-after that was even a bigger surprise, I was thrilled that I read Wet.

Sadly, I made a big mistake with this book......I read this one, and none of the previous ones. :(
I knew this wasn't a standalone, I was under no illusions that it wasn't, BUT, it sounded hot and I wanted to read it now, not 5 books from now! I figured that with a name like "Wet for her Warriors" it was basically literary porn anyway. How much background do I really need for that?!
It all worked out fine in regards to my ability to follow the story. What I HADN'T expected was to find a damn good story! There was an actual plot! A purpose! Well developed characters! It was actually a damn good story, not "literary porn" at all! And I know I would have like it more if I'd had the rest of the damn story! One of the few things I didnt care for was the "addition" (for me) of Luna. She was an extra character that I didnt want in there only because I didn't know her, I never developed a connection. My mistake.
So now here I am, 5 books into a series with only the last one read. I know what happens, massive spoilers! :( Even knowing that, I'm going to try to read them from the beginning.
I really do think that these books could use better titles. This book at least, is far better than the impression it gave off.
Oh.....and it WAS crazy hot too! ;)

Wet by Angel Payne is the Fifth book in the "Honor Bound" series. This is the story of Lani Kail and Kellan Rush Tait Bommer. I do feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Tait has been going through a downward spiral since the death of a women named Luna Lawrence that he was involved with. So much so that it has started to effect his job with the US Army's First Special Forces Group and he is Ordered by John Franzen their battalion CO to go to Hawaii a home station to his mind back in the game. Kellan his brother in arms has been assigned to go with him to help with getting him back. This book opens to them drunk and fighting near West Kaua. Lani finds them on her property and thinks they are apart of the resort developer Gunter Benson gang of men. Lani threats the guys with her knife but she has the guys stunned with her beauty and braveness. Even Tait is woken up enough to start feeling alive again. Kellan and Tait make a stand with her that day and feel protective of her and her younger brother.
This book had me from the first page! I could not put it down...Loved it!

Oh wow,
This book almost certainly was not what I was expecting, but it was GOOD! So good! Angel Payne once again has thrown me off balance and into a hot as hell, intense, fun, drama filled breaking breaking and all consuming delicious plot.
Tait and Kellan are particularly brothers, they go on a mission which Tait ends up screwing up and they are banished to the CO’s homeland, which just so happens to be Hawaii for two weeks, to contemplate everything that just happened, everything that went wrong on their mission, and to think about their actions as teammates.
Tait: He’s still mourning the loss of his love Luna, and the only way he knows how to do that is to drink himself stupid.
Kellan: He doesn’t seem to understand what Tait is doing through and is at a loss on how to help his friend, he tries doing everything he can to make him see sense, that the way to help himself isn’t at the bottom of a bottle.
While this is all happening a beautiful woman who goes by the name Lani comes waltzing into their life and let me tell you now, she sure as hell knows how to spice things up! She’s about to test their brotherhood in a way that could make or break their friendship.
Lani is a little spit ball of fire, sassy little thing and completely takes both the men by storm and captures their hearts right away. Her life isn’t all peaches and cream though and has to deal with more than her fair share of drama, stress and a hectic life where she cares for her teenage brother Lee full time. So the last thing she needs is more drama and problem in her life. But she can’t help but find herself attracted to both HOT as hell men.
Tait, Kellan and Lani story entwined is both hot as hell, fun and intense. Lani has to try and choose between two men that are basically on their knees for her attention. But how can she choose when both men are willing to do anything and everything to prove their feelings for her? Is she able to live out a fantasy that she’s tries to suppress? Will she be able to pick just one of the men?
While all this is happening, more drama and hell start to rain havoc on her life and problems with her younger brother are just the tip of the iceberg.
So much is going on in this book it made my head spin a little, but in a good way, it most certainly kept my attention all the way through and had me squirming in my seat with delight. Angel Payne is known for her hot as f***, intense and addicting plots but this, THIS.. well this is next level. I devoured this book in a matter of a day and it left me wanting more!
It’s definitely a 5 star from me. As I’ve said before, in my experience, Angel Payne cannot write a bad book!

Wet by Angel Payne is the fifth book in the Honor Bound series and was so so good! It can be read as a standalone but since I devoured all five in less than 4 days I highly recommend reading them! Ms. Payne takes you on an incredible ride filled with loss, heartache, friendships, and love.
Tait and Kellan have been sent to Kauai for two weeks to get their mojo back. After Tait suffered a horrible loss, he has been on one crazy bender trying to mask his pain with booze. Kell, his brother-in-arms, has been put on babysitting duty and isn’t too happy about it but wants his friend back to his normal self. While there, Lani, an island native, shows up wielding her knife letting these two men know she is not someone to be messed with. All isn’t as it seems and she is in trouble and Tait and Kell have this fierce need to protect her. But what happens when they come face to face with the one man who not only destroyed Tait but is after Lani as well? Will they be able to get their revenge and protect her as well?
OHMYGOSHHHH!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! It was such an emotional roller coaster that had me on the edge of my seat! Ms. Payne is an amazing storyteller and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

After my utterly broken heart in A WILDer Wonderdland, I quickly forgave Angel Payne as this story seamlessly unraveled. It is brilliantly set-up, making us understand the reasons for Luna's prematured departure from the world. The menage, as it were, would not have existed and as they so fittingly say: There is a reason for everything. Fate, if you will. Although Tait is the broken, wounded and completely shattered soul in this story, I must say, Kellan touched my heart the most. As always, Ms Payne writes about her soldiers with passion and reverence, a true lover of the country's finest. That all being said, she has also done a great job introducing us to a fiesty, spiritually fascinating character that is Lani. All in all, I truly loved this book!

Kellan Rush, Tait Bommer and Lani Kail. Tait had made a major mistake in scoping out the sights for Kells, shot while on a critical mission. It caused them to be banished to their CO's homeland of Hawaii for 2 weeks, to reflect on their actions as teammates. Little did they know that a sassy, fireball named Lani would knock them on their asses, literally, and then knock their hearts for a loop. While on the island, they suddenly find themselves back on active duty, because some very bad guys (some from the guys past) were trying to overtake, Lani's land, Hale Anelas, land of Angels. They will do anything to protect the woman they love, and that means protecting her home, which becomes their home.

Really liked this story and the eventual menage. Poor Tait, what a time he had dealing with his grief. Lani was a great heroine. Loved her, but she sure made a stupid decision at the end. She definitely didn't think that through.
They only part I didn't like and brought down my rating by one star was the paranormal aspect of Luna. Huh? That was weird and unnecessary.

HOLY CRAP!!! HOT!!!!!!!!!!!
This book was just amazing!!! The opening of the book had me dying in laughter just picturing Lani taking both men's shorts as she led them through the woods back to her home only to discover they weren't who she thought they were. The chemistry between them is amazing, from the beginning of the book it's clear Lani has a connection with both men individually.
Both men who come with their own back stories, especially Tait who is still nursing a broken heart after the death of a woman he started to fall in love with after a mission went south. His best friend Kellan was sent to baby sit him while he gets his act together, isn't happy about it but at the same time is willing to do anything to get his best friend back.
The chemistry quickly increases just as the danger and risk became apparent. Not only is Lani struggling with raising her teenage brother, but she's facing an uphill battle against a very rich and powerful man who wants to buy her parent's home and land. Kellan and Tait refuse to stand by and watch Lani lose everything.
I loved the intimacy between each couple as well as the trio when they were together. The friendship between Tait and Kellan was something that very few people ever experience. They are so intuned with each other it's like they know what the other is thinking at all times. My only complaint is, that I would have loved to see their relationship progress as the trio became a trio. With as close as those two were, I could easily see them taking things to the next level in the bedroom with Lani.
The only thing holding me back from giving this book 5 stars was Luna. While I think her role was necessary as part of Tait's story, the whole psychic connection with Lani was just a little too much for me.

Wet is part of the greater Honor Bound series, but can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Lani, Tait, and Kellen. It's insanely sexy and the storyline is addictive.
Lani is a fighter. The first time we meet her, we know she is tough and determined. She manages to knock two guys to their knees, in more ways than one. Tait has been broken, emotionally. Kellen is babysitting Tait on a forced vacation to relax and get his head on straight. The three of them have interesting chemistry from the beginning, but I also loved the individual chemistry between each part of this triad. Lani was able to reach Tait in way others had failed, including his best friends.
Overall, Wet is a hot and exciting ride. It was paced a bit slow, but exciting and emotional. The characters were interesting and complex. I would recommend to the reader looking for two sexy Dominants with a sexy submissive woman who can hold her own.

Two Special Forces men and a Hawaiian girl make a lava hawt ménage. Tait is still trying to recover from Luna's death. His mess up on a mission puts both him and Kellan off the roster. Forced for a mandatory R&R in their team leader Franz's home in Kauai, it is paradise. Well, it's paradise for some, but not for Tait and Kellan.
This 3.5 star story is deeper for me. Tait's struggle with Luna's death is painful to watch yet makes him all the more loveable. His downward spiral into drunken stupor isn't that hard to fathom. Kellan's feeling helpless as he's unable to pull Tait out of his funk. The two brother-in-arms in conflict with each other is hard to witness for both the reader and Lani.
Lani is an exotic character. She's a spitfire with a soft heart. Neighbor and honorary family member to Franz, she's in trouble. She's about to lose her family home to a slick asshat resort developer. When Tait and Kellan come to her rescue, it's as if the stars align.
The characters in this story feel more three-dimensional to me. In addition, they stand out with their quirky characteristics. Their banter is both fun and sexual--lovely to read. The chemistry between these three is apparent and so good. This is the first ménage of Ms. Payne's I've read and it is very good. The sexual heat is delicious. The playfulness switching over to light kinky spankings is appetizing.
The BDSM in this story is very light. There is a bit of D/s with light impact play through spankings. The focus is more on the erotic ménage. Even though Tait and Kellan love each other, this is a M/f/M V formation with Lani as the focal point. The sex when the threesome finally get it on is good. The emergence of Kellan's dominant side is sweet. He takes his cue from Tait, the more experienced dominant.
This story isn't just about Tait's recovery and getting it on with a hot chick. There is also an action part with a familiar foe reappearing and a surprise reveal. This comes to light when Lani's situation is more dire than they thought. As Kellan uncovers the reason behind the purchase of Lani's lands, it's a complete cluster fucker. Franz sums it up best when he finds out during a call with the two.
"Satan's flaming balls. How did trouble follow you asshats like a goddamn rain cloud to that island?" (pg. 167)
The suspense part of this story is fun. Not sure how accurate it would be if I had a military background. Still, it's a nice touch and adds the element of conflict needed in this story. One of the heinous villains in this story, is of course, into BDSM torture. He uses a bullwhip and even though it's torture, the scene is still rather arousing for me. This is because there are restraints involved as well as a bullwhip. Having just experienced my first bullwhip session on my naked back several months ago, I am tainted in my opinion. Because my experience was very good and I'm hoping for a repeat, anytime I read about bullwhipping even at the hands of a sadistic rapist, I'm still a bit aroused. I digress.
Overall this is a BDSM-lite romantic suspense. It flows well and Ms. Payne does an excellent job of mixing in a bit of Hawaiian culture and bringing the Garden Isle to life. Recommended for ménage lovers who enjoy kinky alpha males.

Wet is the fifth title in the Honor Bound series, but only the second one I've read, and this novel was a far better, far hotter, and far more exciting novel than the first, and I'm happy to give it a 5-star rating.
In this novel, the title of which aptly describes the condition you'll be in while reading this story, two Special Forces sergeants, Tait Bommer and his brother-in-arms, Kellen Rush, who is his brother in spirit as well as his best friend, are on the island of Kauai, sent there for R&R after a mission they were on went went south. Tait had messed up badly, primarily because his head hadn't been in the game after he lost the love of his life, Luna, when another earlier op went bad. After a night of heavy drinking, the heroine, Lani, finds them slugging it out on her beach, and the two men are spellbound by her beauty, especially Tait, because she so resembles his lost love.
Lani is doing her best to deal with the two hunky and gorgeous but intoxicated men while also trying to deal with the man who wants to buy her island home out from under her and turn it into a time-share resort, and he doesn't seem to care what he has to do to get Lani to sign the papers making her home his. When he shows up with a number of his goons to force the issue, Tait rises to the bait and another fight begins, Tait getting the worst of it, and then passing out her sofa. Kellan, who is also attracted to the stunning and sassy Lani, is already planning to act on his desire for her, and already committed to helping Lani and her younger brother, Leo, keep their home. There are darker forces at play in the land-grab scenario, which I won't spoil for you.
There is a lot more to his story than first meets the eye, it's well-written, and, quite frankly, I couldn't put it down. The relationship between the three principle characters is scorchingly hot, and definitely for mature readers only, since they include graphic sex, elements of menage, and BDSM power exchange scenes as well. These scenes are more than merely X-rated, they are deeply emotional and moving, as Tait, Kellan and Lani navigate their way through their own issues, their mutual attraction, their own pain, and their own healing. Even Lani's brother Leo has issues and I loved the thoughtful manner in which they were handled. To top it off, there's also a touch of the paranormal included in a scene or two, one of which brought me to tears.
Wet was an unexpectedly addictive read, and although I would have loved there to be an epilogue, I won't downgrade my rating because it wasn't there. This was, quite simply, an excellent, steamy, and exciting read, and I'll be backtracking to the second through fourth novels in this series I missed, and continue following it as the series moves forward.

OH MY Crap on a Cracker as Penny would say on Big Bang Theory. Wet is just dripping with Hotness and emotion. Tait aka T-Bomb and Kellan are just sexy as heck that they saved her home just made them even enduring. I love the very beginning where Lani flipped them on their backs and the commanded them to strip so she would know they didn't have any weapons such a funny scene. Then later on that night in the Rain so Sensual. I also loved the good nature ribbing that the men bounce off each other you could feel the family dynamic. I love when Lani talks Hawaiian in this it gives the authenticity of the place that the book is based at. even Leo Lai's brother was a great character to the book. Lani has her hands full of these men that's for sure lol. Angel can sure bring the Heat. All in All just another Fantastic Read by Angel Payne

Hawaii, what a beautiful place for R&R and Angel Payne paints that picture perfectly in Wet. No matter what seems to ail you, that fresh air and the tropical beauty can lull away the worth of worries. Unless, your worries are hobbled by the memories of a lost love. How the hell is a fella supposed to recover from that? Tell me… how!

Lani is not what people would expect. She is extremely protective of her family and her property and very private. So what happens when these two show up on her beach late in the evening?

Being thrust into the middle of a battle is nothing new for Tait and Kellen, but as time continues the goal and prize are more than they ever expected. Wet was a super hot book!! I have loved the entire Honor Bound series and Wet was absolutely no different. I loved the characters in this book Tait, Kellan, Lani, and Leo are truly fantastic characters. My heart was broken for Tait at the end of the previous book and I wasn't sure that was going to change for me. But, Angel being Angel slowly pieced it back together until it was whole again. Kellan was a definite added bonus to this book. I truly didn't know what to expect throughout this but boy was I happy with the results!
This was easily a five star read and if I was able to rate it even higher I absolutely would. The plot was killer, the characters were off the charts, the dialogue of each of these characters was fantastic! As I neared the end I truly didn't know what Lani was going to do but much like Luna she had quite a bit of sass and went above and beyond to protect those she loved and cared about. Her bravery was inspiring. The twist at the end of this novel has me impatiently waiting to read book six.

Lani, Kellan, and Tait are finding peace, salvation, and love on an island paradise. Lani has carried a heavy weight on her shoulders since her parents passing. I just couldn't put it down! I read this baby so fast and frantically, that nothing got done at home for one full day. Tait, Kellan, and Lani are accidentally in the right place at the right time on the island of Kauai all for different reasons. Tait and Kellan have been assigned some R&R before returning to duty while Lani is desperately trying to keep her family estate from resort hungry developers. While the three navigate this new found "friendship" they are challenged by shared adversaries, jealousy, lost loves, and a burning desire to bare their souls to one another.
I just fell for both Tait and Kellan for different reasons, just like Lani! Wet is one slippery ride that teases and torments in all the best places. One of my favorites in the Honor Bound Series for sure! Grab your copy today along with the others in the series.

Kellan realizes the depth of his ability to love one woman. Lani learns to trust and live for the future and bask in the love of 2 Alpha men who want nothing more than to protect and love her.

Angel Payne has a great series going here- wow, this one blew me away with its raw feelings and emotions.
The process by which Lani, Tait and Kellan formed their connection was deep and soul-searching. Each comes with baggage, whether evident at the beginning or not, that could threaten any meaningful connection made. With evil forces knocking at the door, each must learn to let go, trust and feel.
It's fast-paced, passionate and suspenseful with plenty of deliciously sexy banter between all 3 and hilarious ones between Tait and Kellan. OMG, I laughed so hard at these two.
I love Tait and Kellan's rock solid friendship, they are like brothers and although fiercely independent, they could still rely on each other. Tait is a sexy damaged hero with a capital S.

I was given a ARC of WET for a honest review and let me say WOW! This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by Angel Payne and boy can she tell a story and make you squirm in your seat! When I first started this book I wasn’t sure I was going to really like Tait that much, I knew he was wrestling some demons but he acted like a total ass in my view. But as the story progresses and Lani shows him compassion and love he takes a turn around and then there is Kellen the gentle soul I like to say. I absolutely adored Leo he was awesome, teenage boys don’t come any cooler than him. The way Angel described the tropical paradise surrounding them I could envision it and almost smell the flowers. Fantastic book! Do yourself a favor and buy it! You won’t be sorry.

This is book 5 in the Honor Bound Series. These can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading them in order to get the most out of them.
If you are looking for a sexy and an addictive story line then WET is for you! I absolutely LOVED Lani, Tait and Kellen...
It is know immediately that Lani is tough and a force to be reckoned with. She takes us on one wild and exciting ride and adventure with Kellen and Tait... She brings Tait back from a broken darkness he has been emotionally. It was great to see the love that she not only has for each of them, but for the love they all have for one another.
Definitely recommended. It has a bit of everything.. Mystery, suspense, love and some panty melting moments ;)

I found this story to be one that brought many emotions out in me. The main characters Lani, Tait, and Kellen help each other to heal and realize that together they make a powerful unit. Who wouldn't want two men to dominate and treasure them at the same time? I found that each one of the characters were missing something in their life and that something was provided for by the other person. I did not read this series when it was originally released so I am not sure what was changed or added but it did not miss any marks with me.

Fifth book in the Honor Bound series and it certainly lives up to the title! Tait Bommer is suffering from a mission gone wrong, in which he is sent on a mandatory 2 week vacation. His best friend Kellan Rush comes along for the journey and almost immediately they're thrust into the thick of things and a goddess caught in the crossfire.
Her resemblance to the recent lost love of Tait is uncanny, but the passion between Lani and the two men are undeniable. As they help Lani and her brother Leo, fight a war that's bigger than they can imagine, they might just be healed by the damsel in distress herself. This was a great, steamy read, filled with action, love and adventure!

Angel once again delivers an amazing story that is masterfully written!! Spiritually uplifting, hot sexy love scenes, dramatic events and emotional journeys - it’s all in this book! Talk about taking an emotional journey, this book delivers that in spades. The journey that Kellen and Tait go on in this book is amazing. Finding their brotherhood again was as important as finding Lani. Tait and Kellen broke my heart more than once in this book. Lani is simply a bad ass and sees fit to put them in their place!! Sure Kellen and Tait are as close as any two real brothers could ever be. When they meet Lani, who is a smartass who will kick butt and take names later, they have met their
match.
Parts of this book are very emotional and some were difficult for me to get through, but I couldn't put it down.

This is a story of intrigue, accecptance, love and some "hot" sex. In this case, the characters were destined to meet and together they help heal each other and move forward in their lives. Kellan and Tait are hot, Special Ops Sargents. Lani is a woman trying to "hold it all down" with trying to raise her teenage brother and save her parents' property. When she is threatened. Tait and Kellan step in to protect that is thiers. What they all learned is that it is okay to lean on each other and how complete they feel when they are together.
