This is my first book from this writer and I will sure check her other books.

***********************************************

This is the story of two lovers who loved each other fiercely but were separated from one another for a long time (7 years) after a few tragic events that happened out of their control.

Sadly, they don’t know they are apart; they aren’t even aware of it; therefore, they don’t know they need to find their way back to each other. However, their epic love knows no boundaries and it forces the laws of nature a bit and reminds them of each other.

Their love is a never-ending one even when they don’t remember it. It slowly finds its way through all the odds and brings them together again.

The book is full of tragic events. It is sad and heart-wrenching. It stabs a knife in your heart more than a few times. I don’t want to imagine having undergone the torture, suffering and loss the heroine had to experience. She is pure beauty inside out and she suffers immensely in the hands of a villain.

The hero is a real gem. He is not only extremely hot but also loving, caring, tender, passionate, loyal and honest. He is so very much in love with the heroine and he is very protective of her.

Sadly, fate has evil plans for this lovely couple. Boom, one thing after another happens and their life suddenly changes in the most tragic way!

***********************************************

Now, at present, after 7 years, we have our hero, living a meaningless life, unaware of what he has lost. He is haunted by a woman who appears in his dreams.

For so many years, he cannot understand why he is having those dreams in which the woman begs him to help her. He doesn’t remember ever meeting a woman like her!

“LUCA…. Luca, I need you.””
The willowy feminine voice comes from behind me. I slowly turn my head first, then the rest of my body and look for the source.
Blackness. Pure and absolute. That’s all I see.
Except for the tiny twinkling lights. There’s a shit ton of them.

All I can do is lie there and look at her as she gets closer and closer. Her wraithlike appearance allows me to see the trees above us through her body, but as she draws nearer, her features become more clear.

My body tenses even further when she doesn’t stop and keeps floating toward me. She’s so close I can see black specks in her eyes mixing in with the pretty golden amber.

Painful breath rushes from my lungs when she all of a sudden closes her eyes and an agonizing scream escapes her lips. Not a second later, she bursts into a thousand tiny flashes of bright light, her scream still echoing around me. The small fragments fall, and it’s like some magnetic force inside me is drawing them into my body. Each piece that penetrates is more excruciating than the last.

***********************************************

One day, he discovers that the woman who haunts his dreams is real. That’s when things start to unfold. We learn why the woman haunted him in his dreams for so many years and it is SAD, so very sad.

***********************************************

Suspense in the book

I don’t want to spoil the book for you so I am keeping lots of information. The book has some suspense element in it and you’d better experience it reading yourself rather than knowing beforehand.

In mid-story, you already can guess what has happened and who did what; I mean the suspense element will not shock you and you won’t say, “I didn’t see it coming” because you will see it coming before the heroine and the hero do. You will just sit and watch the train wreck.

The villain in this book is one of the worst I have ever read. He is evil, sinister, cruel .. he is a sick bastard that ruins the lives of two innocent people that are so deeply in love with each other. Why? All because she didn’t choose him – that’s why!!!!

After 7 years of suffering & loss, they finally find their HEA but it comes after a lot of pain.

Writing:

The book is written in dual point of view. It is 365 pages – a really long one but it is never boring. Its writing is captivating and it makes you feel!

One might criticize the book because of one major coincidence, questioning the likelihood of it but I didn’t. This is life and sometimes, it is really cruel. You never know what will happen to you tomorrow. But yes, I accept that there is one major coincidence making you feel and think, “Oh no, how can it happen to both of them?!!! What are the odds???”

So if you can ignore the likelihood of this major coincidence that serves as a plot convenience, the rest of the book is really an unforgettable story of great love & loss and how their never-ending love finds its way back even in unimaginable conditions.

Safety:

This is certainly not a sweet romance that is light and fun. It is an epic love story that has dark elements in it such as physical & sexual abuse. This is the first thing you should know.

Here are the other issues:

1. THERE IS NO CHEATING IN THE BOOK.

The hero doesn’t cheat on the heroine.
The heroine doesn’t cheat on the hero.

The hero is a 5-star one. He doesn’t do anything wrong towards the heroine. He loves her fiercely. The heroine is a 5-star one, too. She is beautiful, kind, tender & caring. She is a sweetheart.

2. THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE IN THIS BOOK.

There is just this villain who separates them in the most cruel and brutal way. He makes them both suffer because of his obsession about her. He goes to extremes and it is very painful to read what he does.

3. THERE IS, UNFORTUNATELY, A 7-YEAR SEPARATION IN THE BOOK.

The separation is out of their control and they are not even aware of it.

So, what isn’t safe in the book is:

- the immense pain the couple goes through in the hands of a villain
- the physical violence and sexual violence
- the long separation due to conditions they couldn’t control and even weren’t aware of

But it is never unsafe because of anything the hero or the heroine does; they are the most innocent – they are just the poor victims of fate and an evil person.

Now, I will write the most important information that is related to their celibacy.

If you trust me when I say they don’t cheat on each other, then, please don’t check the spoilers because both of them are huge spoilers. But if you really really need to know, then, uncover them knowing they will reveal crucial information and spoil some of the mysteries of the story.

Here it goes:

During their time apart, the hero sleeps with a few women He is never a man-whore, though. And during their time apart, for 7 years, the heroine doesn’t sleep with anyone else because she can’t

If you need more safety details, feel free to PM me …

Recommendation:

If you want to read a romantic suspense that will mind-fuck you, maybe this book will soon feel very predictable – so let me warn you.

If you want to read a hot, sweet and light romance, this is definitely a big No; as it will feel too dark with the abuse & violence in it.

Having made my warnings, I would definitely recommend this book; it is surely different from the “same old, same old” tropes that makes you feel that only the names are changed but the story feels the same. If you want to read something different, then, this book would be a good choice. If you can endure the painful moments in it, then, the romance is good, the love is epic, their passion is strong and their chemistry is off the charts. It is emotional and hot but never cheesy or dirty!

Some QUOTES from the book:

Seeing him with his arms wrapped around her, smelling her, touching his lips to hers, brought on a rage I’ve never felt before. Even the look in his eyes, the one that said she was his everything, couldn’t dampen that anger.

I should be happy that he found someone that makes him feel that way, but my mind keeps screaming, MINE!

***

“I know I’ll probably go to hell for this, but goddamn, Jules, I want you so fucking much. I ache every time I’m around you, and I’m fucking miserable when I’m not.”

“I wanted you before today. I wanted you before yesterday. I’ll want you the same tomorrow and the day after and the week after next. What he did hasn’t and won’t ever change that.”

***

The term “she drives me crazy” doesn’t even come close to what Jules does to me. She completely unmans me, but at the same time makes me feel more like a man than I’ve ever felt before.

***

We lie facing each other, arms wrapped around the other, chests smashed together, and legs tangled. You couldn’t fit a piece of paper between us.

***

“Since you wouldn’t give me what I wanted”—He bends at the waist and shouts his next words -“I fucking took it… I wanted it to hurt and I made sure of it.”

I generally enjoy this author's writing a lot, and I really liked her book PITCH DARK which I would classify as being along the same lines as this book. Unfortunately, this one didn't grab my attention as well as that book. I found it to be way too long and slow moving. Part of the problem was that I figured out the big twist very early on which then made certain aspects bothersome for me. None of which I can get into without spoiling the entire book. Let's just say I found certain situations a bit far-fetched and contrived.

description

That said, it wasn't a bad book either. The writing was excellent. The plot was unique in its setup. The characters well developed and had good chemistry. There were a lot of twists and turns that I am sure will shock the hell out of many a reader. Last, it ended in a very satisfactory way.

So yea, a bit of a mixed bag with this one. I'm going to chalk it up to my mood lately as I seem to be struggling to connect with a lot of books. When that happens I tend to start getting extremely critical of small issues that would honestly probably not bother anyone else. AKA Cora and the fact that it is never addressed that Luca . But it is never brought up. Anyway, these are just MY feelings, so please make sure to give a few other reviews a read before deciding whether this book is for you or not. ;D

ARC REVIEW BOOK
Release Date-25/5/18

I adored "The Sinister Silhouette" By Alex Grayson.
This is my first book by this particular author, but it definitely won't be my last.
No sir-ee; I am certainly going to be having a mooch around to see what else this fantastically talented author has to offer.
But first; yes I did figure out the twists here.
And Second; I'm so sorry; I can't really elaborate any further on said twists as this would spoil the whole experience for you.
I know some find it spoils there enjoyment overall when deciphering plotlines; myself; I always feel a trifle smug and sherlocky and if the twist is good and clever; I really couldn't give a hoot if I've used my marvellous skills of deduction; blowing my own trumpet here folks.
I just feel like raising a glass to the author saying; job well-done mate; I applaud you; really I do.
So figuring out some stuff here or thinking I did; really wasn't the end of the world for me.
This still was jammed packed with so many twists and turns and intricate plot-journeys that I was enthralled throughout.
Its told in my favourite dual POV and had the added bonus of an excellent side-cast; all really well developed as well.
This was also crammed full of mystery and intrigue throughout and at every new turn, I felt we were getting a different perspective and fresh flavour.
"The Sinister Silhouette" was a fabulous read that I can't recommend enough.
I have a soft spot for tattoo artists as well; so was over the moon to have one at the centre of this intriguing story.
I wasn't quite sure what this book was going to bring to the table with that obscurely but so tantalising blurb. but need not have worried as it was all so darn good.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "The Sinister Silhouette" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

When I read that blurb, I was beyond intrigued, because seriously it. is. amazing. So when this book came on my kindle, I was already salivating for this, even though I'd never read Alex Grayson before I had this sixth-sense that this was gonna be awesome.

And it was.

Luca was a twenty-something tattooist, who was pretty close to his family. About seven years ago, he was in an accident, and for about six years since, he has been dreaming of this woman who calls out to him to save her- only he's never seen her before.

Paranormal? I think not. But I was very hopeful that it would be one.

Anyways moving on, when his sister get's attacked one day, he finds the woman he's been dreaming about in the same hospital- only she's in coma. So he does what all normal men do in the presence of a beautiful unconscious woman-

No he does not kiss her thank god because #ThePrinceInSnowWhiteIsCreepyForKissingARandomDeadGirl; he get's obsessed with her. But then surprise surprise! When he finds who she is, we're in for a real fucked up ride.

The story was really good. But then there's my rating, so let me just break this review down into what I like and what I don't like so that I am justified.

WHAT I LIKED:
The plot.
The plot was really different- at least it was different from your general romance tropes, so I was definitely all up for that.

Luca and Jules' relationship.
One of the strongest aspects of this book was their relationship. From the very beginning it's very clear that they have crazy chemistry between the two of them, and that chemistry was well portrayed by Grayson too. Another thing I really loved was how despite everything, they gravitated towards one another, even with no memory.

The writing.
This was my first book by Grayson, so I was pleasantly surprised by her writing. It was fast paced, and even though she sometimes seemed to get distracted into the background, I found that quirky instead of annoying.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
OK this portion is gonna be full of spoilers so proceed with caution.

So I guess, with that done I think even though I have a couple of complaints with this book- and I agree that it might totally just be me- it was a good book that I definitely enjoyed reading.

This book is perfect if you are in the food for:

→ An amazing hero
→ An amazing heroine
→ Villain obsessed with the heroine

I truly enjoyed this book.

Remember, it's not a sweet or light romance. It's filled with tragic events such as sexual abuse, amnesia, secret child. It's more like romantic suspense. However, good thing is, this book has a very happy and satisfying ending.

I am glad the villain gets locked up in jail. He deserves worse. It was satisfying to see the H and h are happy and together after all these obstacles.

Favorite Quotes:

If any man other than Theo threatened me like that, I’d drop him faster than a whore drops her panties when she sees a hundred-dollar bill.

I’m terrified, hopeful, and anxious all at the same time, and there’s no hope of the trio of feelings going away anytime soon.

She beams a smile at me and it fills my heart with so much love I can feel the seams stretching to accommodate it all.

My Review:

This was a long and slowly developing yet intriguing story, and in the end it was more than worth every word. Oh my, what a dark and tangled web of deceit had been woven! I had my suspicions early and some proved correct, but I didn’t foresee all the warped tricks and abhorrent twists and turns. Written in my favorite dual POV, I was quickly hooked into the premise and was kept on edge by this clever and devious author's well-crafted and emotive tale. My cold heart was squeezed by the abhorrent regrets, uncertainty, nightmares, and dangers that Luca and Jules were experiencing, but thankfully, my coronary muscle was sufficiently reinflated with the more than satisfying HEA conclusion. This was only my second time to read the wily words of the cunning Alex Grayson, but I fear I have become enamored and hopelessly addicted.

Don’t read this review if you don’t want to feel disappointed. This is WHAT I THOUGHT OF THE BOOK.

Words I would use to describe this book:
- PREDICTABLE
- UNBELIEVABLE
- UNDERDEVELOPED
Did I say unbelievable cause imma about to repeat it again. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Skimmed to the end because I got bored from it being predictable and rushed. The story wasn’t developed enough for me. Do you expect me to believe that Luca and Jules fell in love in 2 days ( 7 years ago) nope not happening. The book is just unbelievable for me. The characters are not fully developed and they felt bland. I don’t get how Luca and the rest of the family thought Theo was telling the truth. ARE Y’ALL BLIND. Even though Luca was suspicious he did nothing about it thinking he was the bad guy in this whole thing.

I can’t really think of one positive thing to say about this book. It’s not popping up in my brain. It was bad I’m sorry to say and I don’t recommend it.

I know a lot of people enjoyed this book from the rating it has but I’m not one of them. SEE YA!

Okay? Where do I begin! The beginning the middle or the end cause I have to say this. I am so freaking happy that I took a chance on this book and I never expected with the way it turned out or how the author will leave you guessing or twisted or even clueless like you don’t know one end from another. Lol. But, to say the least the blurb the book cover image (which is so beautiful) does not do justice to how amazing the writing of this story is so again I’ll leave it to you imagination pick it buy it read love it and just enjoy the crazy twisted and oh so insta-love of this amazing book about Luca and Jules. It’s definitely a recommendation from me and the characters will leave you with the heartfelt heartbreaking ugly tears.

Way too much predictable.

I understand plots like this are unique, and no one person is in the wrong etc but for me this is just an author twisting themselves into a pretzel to make sure the heroine isnt allowed to have sex or pleasure while the hero is allowed too. You can dress it up as much as you want but it's always blatantly obvious that the plot reasons chosen are simply to create that dynamic of sexually satisfied hero with a celibate/virgin heroine so I'll pass

Wow. I’m just so excited for this story where the hero is a manwhore , cheating in his wife for 7 years, and his wife stays celibate. What a completely original idea 🙄 this hasn’t already been done 6,500 times thus year... I hope you read that will of the sarcasm it was intended . Try writing something original instead of following the trend of cheating manwhores to sell your story, and I could actually be interested.

The more I read this author, the more I love her books. This story evoked so many emotions in me, one minute I was scared the next nervous the next cringing and the whole time sitting on the seat of my pants to see what will happen next.

This story had a great cast of characters and I have to say I loved Luca and his family as they were just awesome. The story had so many twists and turns that it made it totally engrossing and definitely a page turner. I loved how Luca had a tattoo shop and was an artist I love when a character has a craft and the fact that his shop was filled with interesting characters as well as his sister Ella who really livened things up quite a bit. I just loved her sense of humor!

Furthermore, I always pick a favorite character, and mine is Luca. Not only that, but I loved him from the onset and fell in love with him after his interaction with his niece. So many sweet moments...

Jules was another character that you had to admired as she constantly kept getting dealt a raw deal but, each and every time, it just made her a stronger person. One of the things I loved about her the most is how she listened to her instincts and paid attention to those gut feelings of hers when it came to Theo, as she sensed right from the very beginning something was off with him, but with Luca she felt safe even learning all about him.

This story had a complicated plot and a ton of heartbreak, secrets, betrayals creating a really dark story but as the story progressed it brought happiness and second chances at rediscovering the love you once shared with the one you loved. For me, it was a great story all around even with the content because all along you knew there was just so much more to the story and couldn't wait for it all unfold as you knew in your heart Luca had to be innocent in this sinister plot.

A gripping story from beginning to end, and we loved it and highly recommend it to all.

A book that makes my heart beat too fast, has my nerves on edge and brings tears to my eyes deserves 5 stars - that's this book.

I was tempted to leave my review at the above statement but it needs more words.

This story features a perfect family, Luca, Ella and Theo and little Aria along with the supportive and caring mum and dad. A mum and dad that are still in love after their kids are grown - as I said perfect.

Luca is the main man, his a tattooist? is that a word? Oh well he does tattoos in his shop with sister Ella, he bought the business from his dad who was a tattoo artist too. Luca has lots of tattoos and piercings and could imagine he might look scary to some people but looks are deceptive, his such a sweetheart - I liked him very quickly.

I want to talk about this book more but I don't wish to spoil the journey for everyone else. I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the writing was immersive and the story a page-turner.

5 Star read.

* there is a dark edge to ths book which may trigger some people.

Holy Amazeballs what a book!
This book sucked me in from the start.
Once I started read I COULD NOT put in down. Kept reading till 5 in the morning.
The characters Luca,Theo and Jules are incredible.
As well as all the secondary characters.
The three main characters had my head spinning.
Who’s who and what in the hell is happening!
I didn’t know anything about the book except what I read in the blurb.
Some books are best appreciated going in blind and The Sinister Silhoute is one of those books.
I loved the dreams and tattoos. You will understand once you read this incredible story.
Can you see someone for the first time and know deep in your heart that that person is your soulmate?
Can there be a love so strong so all encompassing that not time or circumstances break that bond?
Buckle up,be prepared not to do anything but read and enjoy one spectacular ride.
Experience the twists and turns, the ups and downs of this read and the thrill of one hell of an ending!
A read The Jaded Series by this very talented author and fell in love with her from the first book in that series.
Her writing is fantastic!
Everything in the story flows perfectly and smoothly.
The descriptions so detailed I can see and imagine them in my minds eye.
It was written so vividly for me it was liking watching a movie rather than reading a book that’s how incredible the writing is!
Loved every single thing about this outstanding book!

Wow, this book was fantastic.
I have read most of Alex books and I will have to say this is my favourite and I have loved all this author's books.
It is different from any of her other books it is emotional and intense and the story just keeps you turning the pages to try and find out what is going happen, It is very well written. I was hooked from the start.

Luca has been having dreams for years about a girl with amber eyes for years she been in his dreams calling his name. Suddenly things happen, things start to become clearer, and some parts are heartbreaking.

However, you will love some characters and hate some.

It is pretty fast paced book once it gets going but it will have you on the edge of your seat. I really did not see the twists and turns that happened. I could not even put this book down. If you are looking for a great read then I promise you will not be disappointed with this one.
Alex has blown this one out of the park.

3.75 stars. This was my first time reading Alex Grayson and from the get go, her narrative drew me in and held me captivated! That blurb had me intrigued and the opening chapters really set the scene, and I couldn’t wait to find out the true meaning of Lucas’s dreams and the mysterious woman calling for help.

Although I enjoyed this story, I did have a few qualms which affected my rating. Firstly, the memory loss of both Lucas and Jules was way too contrived for me. It was too convenient that they both had lost their memories on the same day! Also, Lucas had such a close bond with his mum and sister that I find it a little bit unbelievable that he wouldn’t have shared his relationship with Jules with them. Also I felt that the book itself was a few chapters too long. The author tended to be overly descriptive for the most mundane every day tasks, and also seemed to detract quite frequently from the story itself.

What would you do if you turn a corner and come face to face with the man/woman of you've been dreaming about?
I'd sure as hell freak out, because the dreams were so vivid, you could hear them calling to you, whispering your name. Luca is a tattoo artist from the wrong side of tracks. The other world is rich , affluent, privileged world of Jules. But hearts tug and names are whispered and the crazy chemistry just pulls them together.
The strangest thing happens and the story becomes so intriguing, you'd have to read twice to make sense of their jumble of a life. Some things were a tad unbelievable, but the suspense and whodunit keeps you on the edge

Wow! What an intense and unforgettable book. The blurb immediately grabbed my interest. The first chapter had me hooked. The entire time I was reading my mind was trying to piece together the mystery.
This is the first book I've read by Alex Grayson and I am looking forward to exploring more of her work. I'm still reeling from the emotional roller coaster I've been on throughout reading this book. The storyline is fresh and one of a kind. This is definitely not a cookie cutter romance. Get ready for a wild and fabulous ride.
I'm not going to reveal any spoilers but I will say this, this book does explore some sensitive topics and I definitely recommend that you brace yourself prior to reading.
Buy the book, add it to your library and be sure to leave a review for this incredibly talented author.

I liked this. The romance was good. Luca and Jules had an undeniable attraction. It was ridiculous that both Luca and Jules had anmensia from separate incidents about the same time period. What are the chances of that? Once Theo revealed what happened, I instantly knew who the real bad guy was. It was so predictable. It was easy to figure out when one guy acted like a complete dick and the other was always nice. I wasn't sure but guessed the truth about Aria long before it was revealed. The thing that bothered me the most was that no one tried to investigate what happened. Why didn't Luca or Jules track down police records? Why didn't anyone use the internet to track down Jules's family? It's not like it's hard to search for people these days especially when those people aren't trying to hide. Instead they stumbled upon the truth by accident.

This one will keep you up at night wondering at what will happen next!

The writing was excellent and I loved the story. I was gripped almost instantly and couldnt put it down. Thrill, fear, love and obsession all mixed up to form one hell of a potent concoction.

While this was a dual pov novel it had a heavier focus on Luca and his pov, which I actually loved, it was a nice change from being predominantly a female pov. I was drawn very quickly to his character and into his story, the torture, loss and guilt plaguing Luca made him a very interesting character.

Jules is a woman who is lost, confused and trying to become whole again, and I loved the journey of rediscovering herself, in spite of the obstacles blocking her path and her mind. She had strength as a character and I felt that she was perfect for this intricate and thrilling romance.

Full of mystery, secrets, love and lies, with a touch of forbidden. This is a story that will keep you guessing right to the end. I was thoroughly sucked into this story and loved the characters so much.

5 mind boggled stars*****

wow, i couldn't put this book down and ended up sleeping for only one hour last night before dragging my ass to work.. and really, it was worth the lost sleep. its like a suspense/thriller type of book. i didn't even mind that the H and h only had their first kiss straight after 50%, and the first love scene must have been at around 70%. this story is about how true love wins, no matter the circumstances, it will find each other... i honestly loved Luca (and not only because that name is damn hott). in appearance he's not the usual type of book-boyfriend i go for, but somehow his heavily tatooed body, pierced skin and even his gauged ears made him quite a meal-of-a-man during my read of the book...

to you Alex Grayson, i say cheers for a job well done...

I received the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Wow!!! I though Pitch Dark was great but The Sinister Silhouette blew that out of the water! I don’t think I loved a book this much since I read Forever Right Now by Emma Scott last year. This is now in my top 3 moving Pitch Dark to #4 in my list. It has to be Alex’s best book yet. There are so many twists and turns that you have no idea which end is up. My suspicions midway through came to fruition in the end but this book is worth everything! I literally could not put this down, not even for a minute. I was completely obsessed. I was even messaging Alex while I was reading it all afternoon and into the night. In fact, I put off my chores just to devour this amazing book! Best book of 2018! If you’re looking for a great dark read, this is the book for you! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

WOW!!! Holy freakin’ mind frack!!! I can’t tell you how happy I am that a friend turned me on to Alex Grayson, because let me just say that she totally writes outside of the box in the very best of ways. It is refreshing! Can it be a little dark? Yes, but that’s what makes it all work! It’s so hard to give a review beyond how amazing and cool I think this story is without giving anything away so I will tread lightly. Be prepared to have your mind blown. I can tell you that you will not know what hit you! I can also tell you that you will fall in love with Luca and go right down the rabbit hole with him. I felt every emotion reading this book, even the uncomfortable ones, and it was totally worth every second!

OUTSTANDING! A truly captivating read that had me on the edge from page one.

Alex Grayson is a fantastic writer but this book...the descriptive writing literally placed me there. She managed to bring Jules, Luca and Aria alive.

This is a book that drove me crazy with adrenaline while reading. It’s long and amazingly well written. The drama, the sinister silhouette that’s lurking, the need to protect, cherish and love...it’s all in there.

This is a standalone and I’m happy to report it has the best ending ever!

ALL THE FEELS! A MUST READ

This book totally blew my mind and scattered my heart and soul seven ways Sunday!! By the end of the book I think I literally stopped breathing as the tears rolled down my face, whilst my partner patted my leg sympathetically and handed me a mojito! Yes! You will need tissues....And chocolate.......And possibly a fruit based beverage!!
Holy shizz, how do I do this book justice without giving spoilers?!!
Luca has been plagued with dreams for years, dreams he just cannot explain. The voice that he hears and the pain in that voice, crippling him and leaving him with an ache in his chest. Suddenly the images are getting clearer and events happen leaving him bewildered, frustrated and questioning his own integrity. My heart literally broke! I spent a lot of this book with my hand over my mouth and shouting 'Nooooo' at my kindle. A true Alex Grayson reaction!
This will have you on the edge of your seat and on your last nerve, but what a fantastic read! Alex Grayson you are a genuis!

This is my fourth book from this author and so far out of those, this may be my up to date favourite.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞 is a narrative about two lovers who are deeply in love with one another, in a soulmate kind of way. Their love had been severed for a long time, 7 years passed after the immediate tragedy happened that both of them can't control.

The twist though is they don't know or are even aware of it. How can two soulmates find their way back? Is this an epic love or just a doomed to failure from the beginning?

The hero in the story is incredible, he's caring, understanding, loving, passionate, honest and loyal to the fault. His depiction is phenomenal.

Unfortunately, every story has a villain and this time, it's the one person you didn't expect to be.

Present time, our hero is haunted by a woman who appears in his dream over the years. He can not comprehend why this woman appearing in his dream, asking for help when he didn't know her at all...

“𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙖…. 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙖, 𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲. 𝗜 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲...

Then one day, he uncovers that the girl in his dream is very much real, that's when the story starts rolling.

The Sinister Silhouette is dark romantic suspense, the setting is very atmospheric, mid-story you can already have a hint of how the story will unravel or who's the mastermind of it all. Remember I said that in every narrative there's a villain, well the one in here is purely evil and sinister.

The book is written in dual pov, it's a long book but I didn't get bored by it or feels like the story is drawn out. The writing style is very engaging and makes you feel on edge of your seat...

Few things that I can say, are this is truly not a sweet, light and fun romance. Yes, the love between our main characters are pure and epic, yet there's a dark facet thrown in form of physical and sexual abuse. So be mindful of those, if you decide to go in reading.

Here are some aspects that you can expect from the book:

1. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.
2. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 7 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.
3. 𝗡𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲.

To wrap it up, if you're a fan of this subgenre, like me then you should certainly pick this up. It's sort of mind-fuckery and at times can be a bit reputable but hear me out - this book is certainly ain't sweet or light fluffy romance, it is DARK.

If you wanna read something different, then this book would be an ideal choice, also the suspense and romance aspect in it are executed counterbalance. Just prepare yourself for the emotional turmoil.
