Until Sunrise by Sarah O’Rourke is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World. Sadly, I’ve not read one of these in a long time. I love “the boom!” That love at first sight, lightening bolt, you’re mine mentality! This is my first book by Sarah and it can be read as a complete stand alone.
Michelle Buchanan is twenty five years old and is a real estate agent in Nashville. She’s proud of the life she has made for herself. But in all the years she has spent working her way through college and then a career, she never took the time to find someone she wanted to give her virginity to. So now she has resorted to online dating. She is currently sitting in a restaurant waiting for a blind date who has yet to show up when the hottest guy she has ever seen sits down. Only she soon learns that he is also arrogant and pushy and somewhat annoying. He also has some very specific ideas about what their future looks like.
Luka Templeton’s father always told him he would know right away when he meets “the one.” And as soon as she walked into his restaurant, he knew. Now he just had to convince her because she has some very definite walls built up. Someone has hurt her but he is up for the task of convincing her that she is now his and he is hers. That she can trust him with her heart.

The blurb calls this a romcom which I have to agree with. The only thing is that Michelle’s go to defense mechanism is sarcasm and I just didn’t enjoy that. It actually made me dislike her. Luka was so determined to do whatever it took to win her over but she fought it all the way. It did have a sweet epilogue. Overall, it was a quick, enjoyable afternoon read and I plan to continue through this world to see who will be experiencing the boom next!

YAY...another virgin. That makes three for today. Alas, I knew that going in so I can't complain too much (lol). Anywho, this book was OK. It started out really good, and I LOVED Luka, but Michelle was a straight up annoying b!tch that pushes the hero away for almost 90% of this damn book. Halfway through I wanted Luka to say "You know what b!tch? I am WAY too old and hot to be putting up with your childish bullsh!t behavior...I am outie (lol).

Another hit for me with the Aurora Rose Reynolds Kindle World. If you are a fan of the Until Series, then you'll agree that this is a great endeavor. In this story we get to read about Ashlyn Mayson's BFF Michelle Buchanan and her love interest Luka. I have to say that I loved the cover and I truly felt that the models fit the characters perfectly.
HERO~ Luka Templeton- sexy, charming, alpha.... you'd have a hard time convincing me that this man doesn't have some Mayson DNA in him. He had the alpha down to a T. He knew he wanted Michelle and the answer "no" wasn't an option. Was he OTT, yes! Do I love OTT? Also, Yes! He pushed her because he knew she was standing in her own way of happiness.
HEROINE~ Michelle Buchanan was prickly. She had a terrible childhood. No real example of loving parents growing up, so trusting Luka was not just a given. She made him work for it almost the whole book. I wanted to punch her in the boob a time or two because, well Luka Templeton 😍 When she did finally give in, she was all in.
SEXUAL HISTORY~ Michelle was a virgin. Luka had been a playboy prior to moving to Tennessee, but once he moved to town he only had been on a few dates.
OM DRAMA ~ No real drama. She was supposed to be on a blind date when she met Luka. The date was 45 minutes late and Luka shooed him off when he did arrive.
OW DRAMA~ There was a woman who had the hots for Luka and tried to cause trouble but she doesn't succeed. Luka puts her in her place.
STEAM Not excessively steamy. Once scene towards the end.
VIOLENCE None
SAFETY Safe - neither are with others after meeting!
ENDING~ Short epilogue that left me wanting more!! I hope we hear about this couple again in the future!

Ah...the wonders of insta-love and the besotted H !
This was right up my alley because I adore H's who will do anything for the woman they love and boy did Luka love Michelle ! This novella had tons of insta-love compounded by hot insta-lust but the author also made sure to include lots of humour, a snarky, independent and mouthy but lovable heroine. There's also no angst, no negativity and the H is so wonderful he even manages to get rid of a wannabe OW in the most effective and fitting manner by reminding her that she's just an employee who needs to stop coming on to him in her sleazy, skanky manner. I wish other authors would create H's like Luka who know how to handle pathetic OW, by telling them what they deserve to hear:
Luka was the best kind of sexy alpha male. He was protective, charming, willing to communicate and listen to all Michelle's concerns while dedicating himself to making her happy and treating her like a princess. What more can a girl ask for ?
Michelle was the cynical one between the two of them. She's witnessed the horrible marriage and divorce of her parents and has reached the age of 25 thinking that true love might just be an illusion. She meets Luka when he intervenes and saves her from a disastrous blind date with a loser guy. Luka comes on a bit heavy but Michelle is able to handle him really well because she's confident and tells him that she's not buying all his flowery compliments. He doesn't give up on her though, because he's besotted with the pretty, petite heroine. It's the first time he's in love.
Luka courts her in a proper manner and makes sure to tell her that his intentions are honorable. The thing I liked most about Luka is how much he respected his parents and loved his mom. It's always a good sign when a man has a loving, respectful and warm relationship with his mother. Luka even phones his mom and tells her all about how he loves Michelle:
“Her name is Michelle, Mom, and she’s gorgeous. She’s got long hair that I swear is the color of burnt cinnamon.”
“Son, I don’t know if I know what color burnt cinnamon is,” his mom chuckled. “Do an old woman a favor and stick with the primary colors.”
I couldn’t help my own laugh as I nodded. “I guess the best way to describe the color is to say it’s a kind of rich brown that has these beautiful red highlights woven through it. When the light bounces off those highlights the red just shines like fire. It’s beautiful, mom. And her eyes… God, her eyes make my heart skip a beat. They’re green, but not just some ordinary, run-of-the-mill green. No, it’s… do you remember how the grass looks down by Wroth Creek during the first few days of spring? How it has that vibrant emerald sheen to it? That’s the color of Michelle’s eyes, mom.”
That was just so adorable ! I love a man who can rhapsodize about the woman he loves, especially when he's doing it without even being aware of it:
“Jesus, our son’s become a poet since he moved to Tennessee, Amy. Burnt cinnamon hair and eyes with vibrant emerald sheen? Boy, I think you missed your calling. You should have been a writer instead of an entrepreneur,” I heard my dad tease, his boisterous laughter blending with my mother’s slightly more ladylike giggles.
“Very funny,” I grumbled, too happy with the turn my life had taken to really be irritated by my father’s good-natured mockery. “I’m not gonna apologize for finding a woman that has a face that would make an artist weep and a body that would make a priest reconsider his vow of celibacy.”
Some of my fav Luka's quotes:
“It’s okay, baby. I know how innocent you are,” he comforted me. Nuzzling the skin just above my mound, he pressed a kiss to my abdomen. “Just relax and let me love you,” he instructed as he used his thumbs to separate the glistening lips of my womanhood. “Christ, you’re flawless. Such a pretty, pink pussy. I can’t wait to eat you like candy.”
“There aren’t words to describe how fantastic being a part of that just was. Watching you come apart for me? Highlight of my life,” Luka proclaimed with a lingering kiss to the crease of my thigh. “You need to know I’ll kneel and worship at the altar of this pussy every day for the rest of my life if you let me, hummingbird. Your body will be the only church I’ll ever need. You let me do that and I’ll leave this world a happy man."
“You’re MY mess, so who gives a shit?” Luka returned easily, dropping a kiss to the crown of my head. “And there’s nothing ruined about you. You are the most unspoiled, innocent thing I’ve ever had in my life. But believe me, hummingbird, it’s going to be my fucking pleasure to corrupt you.”
“That’s good, gorgeous, but I plan to make all your times special. I hope you meant what you said earlier because I’ll never let you go now. You’re mine and I’m yours. End of story. And I really hope you also were serious about wanting this house because I’m never going to want to sleep in another bedroom as long as I live. We just started making our memories right here, hummingbird.”
This was romance done just right ! It's a perfect novella for readers who enjoy a beautiful, sexy courtship story with a man who is totally captivated by the woman of his dreams. It certainly made me smile a whole lot more, like a happy little puppy, after I was finished reading it.

4.5 'Alpha Male Syndrome' Stars
Holy Mother of OTT Alphas!!!
Until Sunrise was the absolute PERFECT addition to Aurora Rose Reynolds Happily Ever After Kindle World! Way to capture ARR Alpha and BOOM spirit! WOW!
For those ARR fans, like myself, you may remember Michelle and Luka’s cameo – where he already revealed all his caveman tendencies, lol – scene on Until Ashlyn, with whom Michelle is BFF. I loved that scene in the book, so I’ve been dying to know more about this two, and about their story. Well, I got my wish, and then some, with Until Sunrise, we find all about their BOOM.
Michelle and Luka meet at his restaurant, where Michelle was stood up by her date. No worries, that was the Fate’s way, because BOOM, Luka took a look and her and immediately knew she was his one, so he more than took the other man’s loss and made it his win.
“Why?”
“Because, gorgeous, you’re the best kind of trouble to hit my life in a long time.”
Yeah, a handsome devil like Luka Templeton was way out of my league, but I couldn’t help wishing that he’d be the right kind of wrong for a girl like me.
The chemistry was so intense you could practically feel the sparks flying. Luka was ALL in first that very first look, and touch, and would stop at nothing to make Michelle his. He was willing to take anything or anyone to get what he wanted, her.
“First of all, when the hell do you think I became yours, Luka?” I asked, my rattled voice raising a full octave. “I’m not yours. I’m mine. I mean, I belong to me and me alone.”
“Not anymore,” he asserted blandly, his broad shoulders lifting and falling underneath his expensive grey suit.
“Huh?” I grunted.
“I’m claiming you. In fact, I already claimed you,”
And his ‘hold nothing back’, no barriers, full steam ahead, just made me love him even more. I adored a good OTT Alpha, and Luka… OH boy, did he fit the bill!!!
It was not just he caveman tendencies that make me – and Michelle – fall for him though. Luka completely opened his heart to her, from the very start, to what she made him feel, and to the very future he knew they could have together.
“Everything, Michelle. I want every-fucking-thing from you,” I heard Luka’s deep voice rumble, my keen ears instantly honing in on his unspoken warning. “I won’t settle for less.”
This man was so unreservedly devoted and loving, so deeply enchanted by Michelle, it was nearly impossible for me to choose amongst the countless quotes I highlighted. Seriously, every second word he said, or though about her was pure gold. Luka was the very definition of SWOON WORTHY! Sigh…
The second I laid eyes on her, it felt like a part of me that I hadn’t even realized was missing suddenly locked into place, making me whole. Making me complete.

But boy, oh boy, was Michelle a tough cookie to crack! The reinforced concrete walls she built around her heart, due to her sad past, were damn near impenetrable! She pushed and pushed, and pushed, but Luka was not a man easily dissuaded, not when it came to his soulmate.
I wouldn’t tolerate anyone hurting the woman I’d fallen for. In the meantime, I was going to collect the damaged pieces of her heart and help her rebuild it into something even stronger and more beautiful.
And that just stole my heart even more! He was such a good sport with her extreme pushing away, and even teased her even more, resulting in some hilariously, and delicious banter. Michelle and Luka’s dynamic was brilliant no matter what they were doing. I enjoyed every second of their back and forth, funny and sexy banter at its finest!
I just hope you’re carrying a pretty big gun. Because that’s the only way you’ll be taking this heart hostage,”
“Baby, you’re gonna love the size of my gun. I promise you its fully locked and loaded. At all times.”
Michelle internal battle, was beautifully portrayed, and we could really feel her conflict, it was too drawn out into to close to the end, and considering the length of their story, it just felt that their true couple time was very reduced. I would have loved even more Epilogue, but you know me, I’m a sucker for extended and further on Epi. Luka was the perfect romantic hero, and Michelle was a sassy and strong heroine. Ms. Rourke gave us the perfect complement for Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until series, where this story could fit right in, still keeping their fantastic voice. Until Sunrise definitely rose to all the expectations! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Until Sunrise was the absolute PERFECT addition to Aurora Rose Reynolds Happily Ever After Kindle World! Way to capture ARR Alpha and BOOM spirit! WOW!
For those ARR fans, like myself, you may remember Michelle and Luka’s cameo – where he already revealed all his caveman tendencies, lol – scene on Until Ashlyn, with whom Michelle is BFF. I loved that scene in the book, so I’ve been dying to know more about this two, and about their story. Well, I got my wish, and then some, with Until Sunrise, we find all about their BOOM.
Michelle and Luka meet at his restaurant, where Michelle was stood up by her date. No worries, that was the Fate’s way, because BOOM, Luka took a look and her and immediately knew she was his one, so he more than took the other man’s loss and made it his win.
“Why?”
“Because, gorgeous, you’re the best kind of trouble to hit my life in a long time.”
Yeah, a handsome devil like Luka Templeton was way out of my league, but I couldn’t help wishing that he’d be the right kind of wrong for a girl like me.
The chemistry was so intense you could practically feel the sparks flying. Luka was ALL in first that very first look, and touch, and would stop at nothing to make Michelle his. He was willing to take anything or anyone to get what he wanted, her.
“First of all, when the hell do you think I became yours, Luka?” I asked, my rattled voice raising a full octave. “I’m not yours. I’m mine. I mean, I belong to me and me alone.”
“Not anymore,” he asserted blandly, his broad shoulders lifting and falling underneath his expensive grey suit.
“Huh?” I grunted.
“I’m claiming you. In fact, I already claimed you,”
And his ‘hold nothing back’, no barriers, full steam ahead, just made me love him even more. I adored a good OTT Alpha, and Luka… OH boy, did he fit the bill!!!
It was not just he caveman tendencies that make me – and Michelle – fall for him though. Luka completely opened his heart to her, from the very start, to what she made him feel, and to the very future he knew they could have together.
“Everything, Michelle. I want every-fucking-thing from you,” I heard Luka’s deep voice rumble, my keen ears instantly honing in on his unspoken warning. “I won’t settle for less.”
This man was so unreservedly devoted and loving, so deeply enchanted by Michelle, it was nearly impossible for me to choose amongst the countless quotes I highlighted. Seriously, every second word he said, or though about her was pure gold. Luka was the very definition of SWOON WORTHY! Sigh…
The second I laid eyes on her, it felt like a part of me that I hadn’t even realized was missing suddenly locked into place, making me whole. Making me complete.
Michelle Buchanan was mine.
Mine to hold.
Mine to possess.
Mine to love.
But boy, oh boy, was Michelle a tough cookie to crack! The reinforced concrete walls she built around her heart, due to her sad past, were damn near impenetrable! She pushed and pushed, and pushed, but Luka was not a man easily dissuaded, not when it came to his soulmate.
I wouldn’t tolerate anyone hurting the woman I’d fallen for. In the meantime, I was going to collect the damaged pieces of her heart and help her rebuild it into something even stronger and more beautiful.
And that just stole my heart even more! He was such a good sport with her extreme pushing away, and even teased her even more, resulting in some hilariously, and delicious banter. Michelle and Luka’s dynamic was brilliant no matter what they were doing. I enjoyed every second of their back and forth, funny and sexy banter at its finest!
I just hope you’re carrying a pretty big gun. Because that’s the only way you’ll be taking this heart hostage,”
“Baby, you’re gonna love the size of my gun. I promise you its fully locked and loaded. At all times.”
Michelle internal battle, was beautifully portrayed, and we could really feel her conflict, it was too drawn out into to close to the end, and considering the length of their story, it just felt that their true couple time was very reduced. I’m going to keep this review relatively short and rein in my need to rant about things that annoy me. I stopped reading this book at 57%, so it’s not like I didn’t try. But my breaking point came when the hero, who up to this point had been displaying some pretty hardcore stalking behaviours got offended when the heroine called him on it. And then the heroine proceeded to apologise to him. APOLOGISED! I couldn’t go on. I mean literally couldn’t go on, I just kept seeing red.
If the hero hadn’t been so good looking I’m pretty sure this book would actually be a thriller, but because he’s gorgeous it’s okay for him to find out where she works and turn up there. It’s okay for him to insist on taking her home so he can find out where she lives…despite her repeated attempts to say no. It’s some how not weird that he thinks she’s “the one” and is now commencing a campaign of “persuasion”, which was actually stalking. If this guy was a foot shorter, with a beer gut and a receding hairline, would it be so sexy? No probably not.
The below is a quote directly from the heroine which just underlines what I’ve said and was a page or two before I stopped reading:

I felt like the ideal HEA for this book would be when he was locked up and she moved continents to ensure that he never found her again.

A great short story. Really loved it. A little more push/pull than I like, but was still a great read. Little ow drama in the beginning from someone who wanted the H, but he dealt with that quickly. Great read.

Until Sunrise by Sarah O'Rourke was a great addition to ARR Until kindle world. Michelle and Luka were a great couple and had an instant connection. Michelle was a sassy heroine and some of the stuff she said made me laugh. Luka was total alpha male and went after what he wanted. I really enjoyed this story.

This is the first book I've read by this author as I have to say that I really enjoyed it! I think it held that she is writing with ARR's Until Kindle World series. I will definitely be looking up more books by Sarah O'Rourke!

This is one of my most anticipated stories in this batch of ARR's Kindle World. Michelle has had enough, never expecting the BOOM, but one disaster date and a man who wouldn't let her go changed her mind. Luka was alpha as hell without being too much. Michelle didn't know what hit her, but man that BOOM was pretty epic. An absolute must read.

I ABSOLUTELY adored Until Sunrise!!! Not that I'm surprised since I love everything Sarah O'Rourke releases. What's even better was that it's a part of the ARR's Kindle World Happily Ever Alpha. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this world.
Michelle is Ashlyn Mayson's best friend. She isn't looking for an HEA, just an HFN. She frustrated me just a little because I mean Luka was amazing, but she needed to get her head wrapped around giving her heart to him. What I loved most about this book was that Luka knew instantly that Michelle was his one. Luka is an OTT male that is everything I'm looking for when I read. He was bossy but ultimately, his concern was for Michelle. Who wouldn't want a guy like that? I won't give away the ending, but I'll just say that they ended it perfectly.

Michelle Buchanan date is a dud, meaning she got stood up. Dating is horrible, she has no clue why she even bothers but when Luka Templeton joins her at her table she is not sure what to do. She knows Luka is not her date but the charming man has decided he wants to be. Michelle is not sure the Boom will ever happen for her but Luka knows Michelle is his one and has to go about proving it.
Loved this, pure alpha male and romance in one. Liked Luka, he oozes control and is determined to get Michelle on board with what they will be. Humorous and sweeps you off your feet.

Holy COW was this book amazing! Michelle and Lukas story is not only hot as fuck... It is laughter as well. Sarah does an amazing job of bringing their story to life and once again had me laughing. I couldn't imagine anyone else, other than ARR herself, that could have wrote these characters perfectly like they did. Until Sunrise is a perfect addiction to the Until World and I'm grateful I was able to get that sneak peek early.

This was a good and quick story. This was the story of Luka and Michelle. Luka a pretty good character. He moved to Tennessee to be closer to his ailing Grandmother and stayed to take over her restaurant when she passed. He was a playboy in Colorado but had been celibate since moving to Tennessee. He sees Michelle sitting in his restaurant and new immediately she was his one! Michelle wants to believe in true love but her past prevents that. Luka knows he has his work set out for him but he is up for the challenge.

What a fun read!!! Michelle (great name BTW) is the perfect blend of sassy and sweet. Her friendship with Ashlyn was one of the highlights of this book for me. Luka is all OTT Alpha in true Until series mould. It's a great easy read. I was smiling to myself and turning pages as quick as I could.

I've been intrigued by Michelle & Luca since reading "Until Ashlyn" by Aurora Rose Reynolds, and since then I've been dying to know their story. Their chemistry was flaming hot ;) and since Michelle is as feisty, stubborn, sassy as Ashlyn, (since they're BFF's) I was cheering for Luca (like I did for Dillion) to win her heart and love :) but also to convince her that time has no precedence when true love comes towards your way <3
This was a great addition to Aurora Rose Reynolds, Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World :)
Sarah O'Rourke stayed true to Ashlyn & Dillion's characters while writing this, and I loved that because not many do it, but she did, which shows you that she's a great author and did the book and it's characters justice :)
This story has everything I need to enjoy a good, sexy read on a Saturday evening ;) It was incredible how once Luca saw his hummingbird <3, he went after her, full force and at the same time, knowing when to slow down. He may not be a Mayson by blood but he definitely has their characteristics of acting caveman like and their extreme alpha tendencies... once they see "the one", nothing will stop them to claim her ;) and that's exactly what Luca did :) <3
Of course, our heroine, Michelle didn't make it that easy for him but once realizing that Luca was serious about them being together and his intentions, she just decided to follow his flow, while still keeping her independence as a strong young woman and even though she is not a Mayson by blood, she's like family not only because she's Ashlyn's Bff almost like sisters, but because once the Mayson clan claims you, you're a family member for life; meaning they protect and love their own <3

Until Sunrise Sarah O'Rourke is part of the 'Happily Ever Alpha World ' Series. This is the story of Luka Templeton and Michelle Buchanan. I have been jumping in and out of the series, so for me this was a standalone book. Michelle was at Luka's restaurant where she was to meet a blind Tinder date but he was late. Luka has just moved to Tennessee to take over his grandmother's restaurant where he mainly works in the back doing paper work...but something told him to come out front. There he sees Michelle and feels the 'Boom' his dad told him about when you meet the women you are to be with. Now he on a mission to claim Michelle.

I think of all the Kindle World books, this has to be the one that has taken me the longest to read.
I would say overall, this book is maybe, maybe a 2.5 stars, and I honestly think that's being too generous.
I hated Michelle. No wonder the girl was a virgin. I'm all for a sassy, independent free thinking woman, but Michelle is just beyond that to where she comes off as a bitch to everyone. I guess she thinks that she's the only one who has experienced a "traumatic" childhood, and I use the word traumatic lightly because there are worse things she could've gone through, and it gives her a right to treat men as if they are all cut from the same cloth.
**I’d grown up hearing from both my mother and grandmother how men were fickle pains-in-the-ass who’d promise you heaven, but deliver you to hell.**
Luka, I'm not quite sure how I feel about him. While he's as alpha as they come, he also comes off as a controlling jerk. However, he does has his sweet moments and there were a few times I couldn't help but laugh at some of his antics to get Michelle.
**Probably because he was absolutely, certifiably, 100% INSANE! Even worse, he didn’t appear to be the least bit bothered by the fact that he was a lunatic.**
All in all I was disappointed with how the author portrayed these characters. I couldn't stand Michelle and could've definitely dealt without all the back and forth "oh but my body wants him so much, but my head screams he's a man and can only hurt me."
I would say overall, this book is maybe, maybe a 2.5 stars, and I honestly think that's being too generous.
I hated Michelle. No wonder the girl was a virgin. I'm all for a sassy, independent free thinking woman, but Michelle is just beyond that to where she comes off as a bitch to everyone. I guess she thinks that she's the only one who has experienced a "traumatic" childhood, and I use the word traumatic lightly because there are worse things she could've gone through, and it gives her a right to treat men as if they are all cut from the same cloth.

Luka, I'm not quite sure how I feel about him. While he's as alpha as they come, he also comes off as a controlling jerk. However, he does has his sweet moments and there were a few times I couldn't help but laugh at some of his antics to get Michelle.
**Probably because he was absolutely, certifiably, 100% INSANE! Even worse, he didn’t appear to be the least bit bothered by the fact that he was a lunatic.**

I’ve not read anything by this author before so this is a great surprise.
This is Michelle and Lukas story. As soon as Luka saw Michelle Boom. He knew she was the one for him. He was so alpha and wasn’t afraid to show his feelings to Michelle.
This was a quick read but a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from this author.

An absolute must read!!! I LOVED the story of Michelle and Luka. They are a perfect match for each other. This is a funny, chemistry filled read from the very beginning. I want more!!
