This is the best book ever written with the words "Greek" and "virgin" in the title. Angelos is a 6 ft plus billionaire (of course) and Chantal is a beautiful and good-hearted virgin (of course). But there the stereotypes end. Both the hero and heroine were surprisingly believable and likable.

Chantal had determination and was a survivor. She never allowed herself to be steamrolled over by the hero. She stuck to her principles - I was just thinking too much so and get-over-it-already when the truth came out about her childhood. Well that bites, I thought. I still didn't like that she jeopardized their relationship with her stubborness, but the author made it understandable to me. That's good character development and good writing.

Angelos had some rough edges when he believed Chantal to be a gold-digger and a user. But again the author did a good job at showing the disappointment behind his verbal tirade, and the annoyance with himself that he was still attracted to her. Also the set-up that led to his mistaken beliefs was well-written. Too often the misunderstanding makes a supposedly alpha male just look dumb, but here it was understandable that he would believe what he did. I loved that he wasn't put off either when he found out a) that Chantal was a hotel maid, and b) the truth about her background. He redeemed himself bigtime too by the lengths he went to to get her back at the end.

Angelos' father was a great supporting character - an old romantic at heart and a bit sly. He added some good humor to the book too. I loved the opening scene with him and Angelos arguing about women. To summarize, this is one of the best Harlequin Presents I've read. Highly recommend!

Such a sweet story. I loved how the heroine clicked with the hero and his father from the beginning.

The plot is simple. In a fit of adventure and defiance, the heroine gate-crashes a charity ball wearing a dress she made from curtain lining. She dazzles the hero and his father. Hero thinks she's a notorious golddigger because of the name on the ticket she fished out of the trash bin. Two weeks later the hero drags her to his Greek island after his father has a heart attack. He's told his father they are engaged to help his father's recovery.

The H/h get to know each other and the heroine tries to assert her independence by sneaking off to waitress at a local taverna. She also makes another ball gown and learns to cook Greek food. After a few misunderstandings, the hero finally realizes he must marry her and offer a job designing clothes. HEA

The heroine is a great character - full of charm and fun - even though she was bit too sensitive about money. The hero didn't stand a chance between the heroine and his father. This is a feel-good story. Not a lot of angst, but there's enough drama to be interesting.

The h demonstrates the amazing superpower of being able to make a couture ball gown out of a recycled expensive curtain or any other pretty material at hand, complete with seashell adornment. This is a very useful skill to have when hanging out with multi billionaire hawt Greek dude.

Said h and H hook up for love and fun in the sun but h has issues with rich alpha hero paying for her, she 'fesses up that mum was a hooker and runs off into the night.

Hawt Greek dude chases after and determines that her high class, but eccentric couture style will allow him to make her a multi- millionaire too, so she can afford to spoil herself in the manner he directs. A literal cracker jack box ring and heartfelt proposal leads to glorious HEA and I did enjoy this book. Especially the mad fashion designer skilz

What a great book! This little gem had the typical elements expected in a HQ Presents novel: the awful but funny title, the billionaire hero who doesn't trust women, the impoverished virgin heroine who's considered a cold-hearted gold-digger until the hero deflowers her and has an epiphany, some misunderstandings thrown here and there to add conflict, and the hero's grand gesture in the end making everything right. Yes, the premise and the story were formulaic, but Ms. Morgan's writing made it all work and I really enjoyed this read.

You can read Holly R's review for a better take on this book. She's done a great job selling it to me, considering I don't usually read HQ Presents anymore.

I'm just going to quote one of my favorite passages. This happened when Angelos acused Chantal of seducing him:

Angelos: "You virtually threw yourself across my path. And from the moment we met you couldn’t stop looking at me."

Chantal: "Well, in order to have noticed you must have been looking at me too."

Angelos: "You danced as though we were already horizontal in the bedroom."

Chantal: "You danced too."

Needless to say, Angelos was momentarily baffled by Chantal's arguments, LOL. It takes two to tango - literally. Then, he got angry:

Angelos: "You’re right, I’m angry. Over the years various women have gone to enormous lengths to attract my attention. They pose as businesswomen, they apply for a job with me, they book tables in restaurants where I am dining, they hover outside my house in the hope of bumping into me. Sometimes they just turn up in my office wearing next to nothing, in the hope that they’ll attract my attention."

Chantal: "Really? Gosh. That’s amazing."

Angelos: "It is not amazing. It is intrusive and unacceptable."

Chantal: "It must be one of the drawbacks of being a billionaire, I suppose. Can’t you laugh about it?"

Angelos: "It is not amusing."

Yes, it was, Angelos. I don't think Chantal was trying to be sarcastic there, but that's how I read it and it was fun.

Note: My OCD was bugged by the fact that Chantal's last name was never mentioned in the book. She just inroduced herself as Chantal and left it at that. It was strange, because a man as suspicious as Angelos should have harassed her until she revealed it so he could have her investigated.

This was such a fabulous story.

I adored the heroine, free spirit Chantal, waitress and traveller, and Angelos Zouvelekis, sexy Greek millionaire was to die for.

From the 1st line in the story...
'I've found her, Angelos. And she's a goddess.'
until the last page I was enthralled!!!! Captivated.

Cinderlla meets her Prince Charming.....they fall in love and live happily ever after......

Chantal & Angelos had such an amazing chemistry.....I just knew he was going to fall totally and irrevocably in love with her.
My favourite character...apart from the h/h.....Angelo's grandfather!!! Such a lovely and sweet and endearing character ever!!!!

My favourite scene: when Chantal gatecrashes a charity ball and meets Angelo for the first time............

She walked as though she owned the place, with a gentle swing of her hips and a faint smile on her glossy mouth, as if something or someone had amused her. Her blonde hair was piled on her head and her vivid red dress provided a dazzling splash of colour amidst the predictable boring black. She looked like an exotic rainforest bird let loose among a flock of crows.
A book I will read again...definitely.

Look, the book was great, really, hero was even likeable at the last page, but HOW the hell these billionaires manage to find a twenty something virgins and then gets awed by it? I mean seriously? How is being a virgin a virtue or a proof of innocence? And how is it different between men and women? The women has to be virgin to be "pure and innocent" and the guys would be extremely experienced? I really need to stop reading these and torturing my somewhat feminist soul!

Angelos Zouvelekis and his father, Costas were busy arguing the merits of a fine woman when Chantal walked into the stuffy ballroom with her head held high, dressed in a knockout red dress. Barely excusing himself from the man who gave him life, Angelos quickly makes his way over to her side, marking her as his for the night. She's charming, she's different, she's unique. She's everything he wants in a woman until he realizes she's been deceiving him. Disgusted with her and himself he strives to erase her from his mind, then his father suffers a heart attack and declares, only when he sees that his son and that wonderful woman from the ball are together will he be able to rest in peace. Angelos tracks Chantal down and acting under the impression she's a devious gold digger, propositions her. An all expense paid vacation in the Greek Isles in exchange for pretending to be the love of his life. Chantal is upset when she realizes that Angelos thinks she's someone else and is hurt by his attitude, but the truth, in her eyes, is far worse so she allows his callous attitude and accepts his proposition for his father's sake. Costas Zouvelekis was nice to her and in her world, that's a rare thing. So she journeys to Greece with Angelos and they put on a show for the sly Costas. Angelos believes he can just ignore her now that they both ensconced on his private island but her tempting allure proves too much for him and he seduces her, thinking to get her out of his system. Instead he is given indelible proof that she is not who he thinks she is, so of course *eye roll* all his preconceived notions about her are wiped away and he falls in love with the woman who stands so innocently before him. It's easy to overwhelm Chantal and to get her to love him back, what's hard is getting her to trust him and when she does, it's the start of a beautiful romance.

Angelos was wonderful. True, he's a bit of a jacka** to her when he thinks she's someone else but it was okay. Apparently his father is the type to fall in love with any woman who bats her eyelashes at him and knowing the reputation of the woman he thought Chantal was, it gave him license to be protective and angry. The fact that he snaps out of it when he realizes she's a virgin is a little eye rolling but hey, whatever. This doesn't make all the problems go away, however. Chantal has a lot of mental hangups about taking care of herself and paying her own way that allows for some funny conversations and some equally funny scenarios that had me laughing. While I applaud a woman who wants to take care of herself and not rely on a man, it's a trifle overdone, especially when it jeopardizes their relationship. But once we find out her secret, it's perfectly understandable and suffice to say, they were honest and painful reasons.

This was charming, utterly charming. I loved it. It made me laugh. It made me sigh and believe that there's a handsome, rich and wonderful Greek billionaire out there, just waiting for all of us to go and get'em. Angelos was a to-die-for fantasy man who I would love to let sweep me off my feet and Chantal was the sweet, plucky heroine who had both integrity and brains and a knack for sewing which I greatly admire since I have none. I loved this book. It was a wonderful, simply sweet romance that was fun to get lost in for a short while before the drab of everyday life returned. Enjoy!!

Okay I just read this for the 2nd time and I loved it still. Cinderella all the way. My favorite kind of story. It was very cute. I liked that the hero was totally smitten with her and I loved how he wanted to take care of her. Of course she doesn't want that but who wouldn't? That frustrated me and then I found out why. Because of her Mommy. So it turned out okay. I loved his Father and I was so happy at the end. I wish it would have had an epilogue. I really did like this story except for one tiny little thing....

About his previous sex life. HIs Father says he doesn't keep girls long.

‘And I don’t need you to find me a woman.’
‘Why? Do you find one on your own? No, you don’t. Not a proper one. You spend your time with women who would not make suitable wives.’
‘That’s why I pick them,’ Angelos murmured, but his father frowned his disapproval, dismissing his comment with another wave of his hand.
‘I know who you pick! The whole world knows who you pick, Angelos, because the stories are in every
newspaper. One week it is a Savannah, the next it is a Gisella—never the same woman for more than a few weeks, and always they are thin, thin, thin.’ His Greek accent thickening his words, Costas Zouvelekis made a disparaging noise. ‘How can you be happy with a woman who doesn’t enjoy her food? Does a woman like that cook for you? No. Does she enjoy life? No, of course not. How can a woman enjoy life when she is starving hungry? The women you pick have the legs and the hair, and they are like athletes in the bedroom, but would they care for your children? No. Would they—?’
‘I don’t need a woman to cook. I have staff for that purpose.’

Then the H is reminiscing about an actress who has been in his bed the prior week for an 'athletic' two nights(GAG ME) and that he might see her again. See quote below:

Seeing that his father was about to launch into another lecture in favour of the curvaceous woman, Angelos decided that the conversation had gone on long enough. ‘You don’t need to worry about me. I’m seeing a woman.’ It wasn’t the relationship that his father was hoping for, but he didn’t need to know that. His father scowled at him suspiciously. ‘Is she a proper shape?’ ‘She is a perfect shape,’ Angelos drawled, thinking of the A list Hollywood actress who had spent two extremely exciting nights in his bed the week before. Would he be seeing her again? Possibly. She had the legs and the hair and she was definitely an athlete in the bedroom. Was he interested in marrying her? Absolutely not. They would bore each other to death within a month, let alone a lifetime.

But then after he takes the heroine to his island, he says he doesn't go for mindless sex with just anybody.

He was not a man who indulged in thoughtless, mindless sex. Not since his teenage years had impulse played any part in his relationships. It was true that beautiful women played an extremely important part in his life, but he was fiercely exacting in his choice and he was always the one in control. He made the rules. Relationships began and ended when he decided they should begin and end.

When he asked the heroine for sex again, this was her and his reply.

‘But you—I—’ She broke off. ‘It was a one off.’
‘I don’t do “one-offs”. I’ve already told you, casual affairs are not my style.’

So what the heck does all that mean? It all contradicts each other. Personally I call him a manho. Thats just me. I didn't like that and I definitely did not need to hear about the sexual prowess of his conquest the week before. Just so not needed. That is my one complaint.

Much like your every day HP. Manwhore billionaire Greek H, virgin h. The H thinks the h is a gold digger and the h stands up for herself until her hormones get the better of her. Sweet Cinderella happily ever after. It was worth the read but not something I will revisit.

"Bought: The Greek's Innocent Virgin" is the story of Chantal and Angelos.

Don't be fooled by the cheesy name of this book!
It begins with a simple plot: our h Chantel decides to gatecrash an event by using someone else's invitation. She catches the eye of Angelos Zouvelekis, as well as his father- until Angelos discovers her "identity", leading to her running away.
Two weeks later, he finds "her" again, only to blackmail her to be his pretend fiance for the sake of his now ailing father. But when passions explode, and a surprise hymen is discovered, will Angelos have to reconsider his (ridic) preconceptions?

I ADORED the heroine in this one. So fierce and independent, I loved her self sufficiency. Yes, she was a putty in the H's hands and legit creamed herself every time he showed up, but she also showed bursts of backbone where it counted and always stood up for what she believed in.
The hero was a suspicious dbag in the first half, but things start changing when his "gold digger" mistress refuses to do things he was expecting. I liked how crazy he was about her later on.

My favorite scene is when the H discovers how the h has been paying him, as well as the very understandable ending.

Enjoyed it!

I loved how the heroine was able to sew her own ballgown. . I thought it showed a resourceful and creative mind especially since my own sewing skills are limited to button repairs.

Like many Harlequin heroines, Chantal grew up orphaned and feeling like an outsider. Her sense of isolation felt so sad to me, so it was very gratifying to see her find a HEA with the hero, Angelos, who turned out to be worthy of Chantal and loved her for herself.

Another refreshing aspect to this romance was Chantal's determination to never become some man's kept woman or mistress—contrary to the misleading title. I couldn't help but respect Chantal for her fierce dedication to staying financially independent, which frustrated the heck out of Angelos who just wanted to spoil her rotten!

A satisfying fairytale romance with a sweet ending.

This was an enjoyable story. I really applaud author, Sarah Morgan. I'm drawn to almost everything she writes.

In this story we have the gorgeous, thirty-four-year-old billionaire, Angelos Zouvelekis. I looked upon him as a man-whore but not everyone thinks this. He is not a one-night stand kind of guy but he sleeps with all the women he dates (and he is always dating someone with long legs, nice hair, and a stick thin figure) which usually never lasts more than a few weeks then he's on to the next. As an example one so-called girlfriend, a movie star, lasted two nights then he moved on so to me...this is a manwhore. It isn't like he is dating each woman for a few months.

Then we have our innocent, sweet heroine, Chantal, who is a beauty at twenty-four and works as a waitress. She comes from a horrible background and it has always affected the way everyone treated her. She has very low self-esteem and self-worth and everyone has judged her because of her mother.

At this time Chantal is working as a cleaner at a hotel and there is a woman in the room she is cleaning, Isabelle. She is an unlikable young woman and is devious and a man-eater! She does whatever she can to catch the men she wants and then divests them of their fortunes. Isabelle is upset because she can't find anything to wear to a benefit that night and abruptly throws her invitation in the trash bin and leaves the hotel heading for home.

Our beauty, Chantal, decides she would try an experiment and go to the ball in her stead. She doesn't like to be around people because she has always been rejected. She just wants to see how it feels to be amongst the upper crust. She uses the discarded ticket and when she meets the hero they hit it off immediately. But later he finds the ticket she used to get in and realized it was the horrible woman that men were leery of. He ends up kicking her out. He doesn't give her the opportunity to let him know that what he thinks is untrue and that she is not that horrible woman.

Our heroine goes way overboard on a man paying for anything....even a date. She refuses to be a kept woman like her mother was but she is so very offbase and I felt it made her appear a bit dimwitted. If a man wouldn't let her pay her own way she would refuse to see him. The hero just wanted to spoil her a bit but that wasn't allowed...because it was what her no-good mother would do. I have to say it was really OTT and I got bored and frustrated with that part of the story. I was also disappointed that we had no news whether she conceived or not and no epilogue. It just semed to kind of end abruptly.

Other than that I really liked this book and will more than likely reread. I definitely recommend this book!

3.5 stars. Well done modern romance. Loved the description of the greek island the H called home - had me looking through the pics I took on my last visit to Greece. Enjoyed the Hero; a true alpha but without the cruelty - mostly. A little undecided about the h though; her 'independent streak' both impressed me and exasperated me (and I do think she overdid it at times). Lots of chemistry and steamy encounters between the two. This also the first book I've read where the h almost passes out in the aftermath of you-know-what. Definitely a novel reaction. Decent enough read this and worthy of a recommendation.

Sarah Morgan is a fabulous writer and I have enjoyed so many of her books.

This could have been a perfect story, but for the heroine’s inflexibility: her over-the- top and ultimately ridiculous attitude about money and hospitality etc and refusing to allow Angelos to treat her became very irritating very quickly.

The big reveal that her Mum had been a prostitute, was, in the end, insufficient to explain why she had no common sense about the financial side. Leaving the hero’s island, to get a job as a waitress so that she could pay him for her board and lodging? This was so unbelievably ridiculous that I wanted to throw my iPad across the room. She wasn’t her mother. Why did she have no ambition to improve her situation? Wandering the earth doing menial jobs felt incredibly last century.

She wasn’t a teenager yet she’d shown no desire to make something of herself and was prepared to simply wander the world doing menial jobs. There was much to like but even more to be utterly annoyed about with Chantal. I thought the hero should simply find someone more rewarding than this woman

By the way, making a hand sewn dress in a couple of hours demands far too much suspension of disbelief for me!

There’s a good thing in being proud of being independent and not being ‘bought’ by a man - and then there’s just stupid bolshiness, ignorance and bad manners. I found her so utterly annoying! Chantal was prepared to walk away from Angelos without making any compromises whatsoever.

Angelos may have been horrid to her when he thought she was Isabelle, but she doesn’t contradict him, and yet still expects him to believe she’s not a goldigger? He’s a real sweetie ultimately. He deserved better.

btw I loved Angelos’ Dad.

I see there are a lot of 4/5 star reviews for this book and the writing warrants it but the story simply frustrated me for far too long that I couldn’t enjoy it.

Excellent story! I can see myself rereading this some day. Lots of great reviews for this one and since my summer has really ramped up lately I haven’t been taking time to write reviews(I would rather use the down time to read a new book!) So, with that being said: Agent Scully leaves a great review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The h was the Queen of Pick-Me. It got so annoying. Even though I liked the story this book was an absolute crusade against thin women. The author could have handled it better and the way she made the characters constantly vilify thin women left a bad taste in my mouth. Don’t even get me started on the stereotyping. Ugh.

5 Stars! ~ Chantal, having no ties to anyone, can simply pickup and move on, and reinvent herself in every new place she travels to. Working as a hotel maid in Paris, she retrieves a ticket carelessly discarded in a waste bin, for a prestigious charity gala ball. Lacking in total personal confidence, Chantal dreamed of just once to be able to prove that she could fit in anywhere, so she snapped up the ticket and pretended to be someone she wasn't. Hosting the charity gala, Angelos is confident in it's success and pleased he was able to convince his father to attend. When Costas comes to his son to announce he's found him the perfect woman, they debate the values of love and marriage, and what makes the perfect woman. Costas wants for his son what he had with his wife, true love and passion. With the vision in red whom Costas had spied now standing in front of him, Angelos no longer worries about his gala or the business contacts he is neglecting. This mystery woman enchants him, not only for her spectacular beauty but she manages to put him off balance with her observations. Chantal deftly avoids revealing her identity to Angelos, allowing him to believe that she is indeed one of the wealthy invited guests. She's bowled over by his charisma, and knows that he is so out of her league. And then they dance. It's a dance every Cinderella could wish for. So in tune to the other, their passion exudes and no one would doubt that they were lovers. When the dance concludes, Angelos leaves her for a moment, and Chantal is swiftly rescued by Costas from a spiteful woman so curious to know who she is. Chantal has never before been rescued, and she is warmed by his kindness. When Angelos returns she can see, her cover's been blown and he knows she's an imposter. Weeks later after searching all over Paris, Angelos finally catches up with Chantal. He believes her to be the woman who owned the gala ticket, a woman well known for marrying and divorcing very wealthy men. And he insists that she come with him to Greece where his father is asking to see her. Costas has had a heart attack and believing that Chantal is the woman of Angelos' heart he wants to get to know her. Chantal cannot refuse to help the man who had been so kind to her, and reluctantly travels with Angelos to Greece. Their attraction to each seems even stronger, and neither are able to control the inevitable, which leads Angelos to learn that she could not possibly be the gold digging divorcee as Chantal had been a virgin. And again, Angelos is puzzled by this woman of mystery, whose passion meets his own, and yet refuses to allow him to keep her.

Ah, I just adored Chantal and Angelos! Angelos shows his arrogance and contempt when he believes Chantal to be a gold digger. When he learns that she's not who he believed, not once does he put her down., and this made him a hero. He can't fathom why Chantal won't allow him to buy her things or won't take his hospitality for free. Chantal is a strong woman whose start in life was a hard one. Vowing never to follow in her mother's footsteps, she can't allow Angelos to provide for her. I wasn't sure how Angelos was going to convince her to be with him, but his solution was pure genius. Bravo to Ms. Morgan! I adored everything about this book. The emotions were intense, the passion scorched the pages, and Costas' charm brought smiling moments. I know I'll be reading this one again.

So not very happy about the thin shaming and saying 'real women have curves' its nice to read a heroine that is curvy and not just big boobs. I'm curvy everything is curvy and I appreciate this but I don't like reading where women are scorned for a) what they eat b) how much they eat and c) when they eat. I find this hard to read cause there would be uproar if someone said this as a "oh you eat too much" but you don't eat enough is deemed acceptable. Due to this I've deducted a star.

I liked the romance between them this aside.

A great story about wrong assumptions and relationships. If you like lots of conflict, forced seductions and main characters screaming at each other, this one is *not* for you. Yes, Angelos thinks that Chantal is a world-class gold-digger with at least 2 divorces behind her and thinks that she's out for either his father or himself, but one by one he learns that what he thinks he knows about this liar is far from the truth.

*4.5

Een verhaal dat heel vlot leest. Het is spijtig dat het maar een kort boek is aangezien je niet wilt dat het verhaal stopt
