All I can say is...
YESSSSS, Pam Godwin.
You are a goddess and this was pretty much everything I wanted it to be.
After not really loving the first one (you can check out my review for that one HERE), I went into this one with a bit of trepidation and - dare I say it - a fairly distinct lack of enthusiasm.
But, then again, when you work long graveyard shift hours like I do at the moment, pretty much everything in LIFE is met with a lack of enthusiasm and an "I just want to sleep in the fucking dark for fucks sake" mentality.
But I digress.
As I was saying, I didn't love the first one.
And since this involved characters from the first one and, for the most part, took off where the first one left off...

But, luckily Pam Godwin is a boss who writes chemistry and psychological sense like a champ.
I REALLY liked Jarret.
And I REALLY loved Maybe...up until about the 80 percent point...then she pissed this sister off a bit with her annoying shenanigans. In fact, the 75-80 percent point is where this story lost a whole lot of steam for me (thus why it didn't get 5 stars), but homie don't care.
I'll take a 4-star Pam Godwin read any day of the week.
And I cannot WAIT for Lorne's book. Holy SHIT.

Buckled is the second book in Pam Godwin's 'Trails of Sin' series, and once again I was taken on a wild ride and completely captivated by this story.
Maybe Quinn is at the Juliep Ranch to get a story. She knows something is going on there, and she has her reasons for needing to know what. The easiest way for her to get a story? Through Jarret. When Jarret and Maybe meet, you can feel that pull between them. They both feel it, too. Even if Maybe doesn't want to. Maybe's life is complicated right now. Jarret's has been complicated for years.
I love that Jarret is the fun-loving, easy going brother, but he's also a beast in other ways. Ways that Maybe becomes privy to early on in the story... Their story was so steamy, but it was also more than that.
Maybe is a strong heroine, and after learning all she went through, I had so much respect for her. There were moments in this book where she frustrated me, but overall I loved her. Jarret was pretty much perfect. I have zero complaints about him. I was so excited to get his story and it didn't disappoint in the least. Next comes Lorne's book, and I'm even more excited about that one! Gah! I can't wait to see how his book goes!
Pam's writing is fantastic as always. I can always count on her stories to be well thought out and well written. She is by far my favorite 'dark romance' author for this reason! If you're looking for a book with lots of steam, drama, suspense, and a great familial element, pick this book up! Just be sure to read book 1 first. Even though this is Jarret's book and the first is Jake's, they need to be read in order!

Dark and sinful with story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to finish, Buckled was one addicting ride!
Ever since Maybe and Jarret first met in Knotted, sparks flew, and I was instantly hooked. I couldn't wait for their book. I knew it was going to be good, but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I devoured this story in one sitting. It kept me squirming on the edge of my seat, starved for each new revelation and totally captivated by the story. It was this magnetic combination of mysterious and kinky with a dark edge that Pam Godwin is oh so good at weaving into her writing.
I love a good enemies to lovers trope, and this one delivered it in spades. The hate lust was strong with these two and their chemistry was electrifying. Maybe is probably one of my favorite heroines this author has written. She's strong, sharp witted and has no problem giving as good as she gets. This is a woman that's not afraid to stand up for herself, yet she also has this hidden vulnerable side to her that seems to come out in Jarret's presence. She was an incredibly multi-layered character that I couldn't get enough of. And did I mention the sass?
Jarret delivered on the kinky cowboy promise that I was hoping for in book one. This man has a presence to him, let me tell you. He's downright sinful. And when he sets his eyes on Maybe, he's determined to get her beneath him even when they both know she's hiding something for him.
Maybe comes to their ranch in search of answers. She knows about the dark past and secrets that the Holsten family has hidden and she's convinced it somehow ties into her own. She's determined to get to the bottom of it no matter what she has to do, but she doesn't expect the magnetic connection she feels with Jarret or for it to suck her into his orbit as much as it does.
There are a lot of secrets that get unraveled here. And while we get answers to some things, we're also left with even more questions. The blood feud between father and sons and the secrets that they have buried are all coming to a head and it's bound to be on hell of a conclusion.
I absolutely LOVED the chemistry and banter between Jarret and Maybe. Their relationship was a sizzling slow burn full of spark and erotic undercurrents. When these two finally give into the pull between them? Holy hell! This book had one of the hottest sex scenes I have ever read. I have two words for you: rain and lightning. HOT. DAMN.
We also finally get to meet the heroine of book 3 and let me just tell you, I'm practically salivating for that story.
While I enjoyed the first book, I was completely blown away by this one. I cannot wait to see how it all concludes in what's bound to be an explosive final chapter of this trilogy.

In the first book of the series, Knotted, a series of tragic events forged a bond between two sets of siblings that can never broken. Buckled overlaps slightly with the timeline of Knotted. Conor and Jake are growing stronger every day and as a spunky reporter begins to make her presence known at Julep Ranch, Jarret is quick to rope her in. As Jarret begins to explore (and devour) every inch of Maybe Quinn, it becomes evident that she might be one beauty that he is not able to tame. As Jarret and Maybe grow closer together, the demons from their past continue to linger all around them. When the truth is revealed, will they have the strength to overcome?
Overall, I highly recommend Buckled to anyone who enjoys a little dark and delicious in their read. With a dash of action, intrigue, and beautiful romance, the Trails of Sin Series is an absolute must-read. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent with Jarret and Maybe. Ms. Godwin is a master storyteller who always meticulously crafts her text and characters in her own unique style that is inspiring and nothing short of perfection. From the get go with these two it was a turbulent ride.

READ MY REVIEW ON THE BLOG
KNOTTED was my first book by Pam Godwin and while I had some issues with it I saw the huge talent she has. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that she knocked Buckled out of the park.
Maybe Quinn needs answers. The place she thinks she'll find them is a ranch in Oklahoma. The owners aren't welcoming or friendly, having secrets of their own they don't want a journalist sniffing around on their property. Jarrett Holsten in particular is aggressive in his attempts to chase Maybe away. A fact she doesn't appreciate since she feels an intense and unavoidable gravitation towards him.
Since his twin brother's girlfriend was raped Jarret has done everything to protect their secrets. Law wouldn't look kindly on Jake and his murderous revenge for those who hurt their family. Maybe's appearance turns his world upside down though. She makes him feel things he saw between Jake and Conor, things he always wanted but never thought Jarret could have. They strike a deal and its stakes are high for both of them because one word could end everything.
Maybe and Jarret's whirlwind romance was everything I hoped for. Jarret is a demanding, often overbearing man who puts on a good show to get Maybe to leave but the closer they become the sweeter he treats her. This is a man who falls in love only once in his lifetime and he will be ruined for every other woman when he does. I adored how he proved exactly that throughout the story. I was never worried that he would stray. The love of his life was Maybe, it was immovable and not time or space could change that.
I’m John Holsten’s son. The selfish liar. Coldblooded murderer. Ruthless lover. But she makes me want to be the right man. Selfless. Vulnerable. Buckled on my knees beneath the trust in her huge blue eyes. She makes me want to be the man deserving of that precious trust.
Maybe was so lovable. Her clever brain, her sass, her smart retorts and her backbone had me head over heels in love with her right from the start. She was strong but could let herself be weak with the man who got under her skin so fast. But that went both ways because Jarret was enchanted by this stubborn woman who stood up for herself and had such a tender heart, who challenges him and makes him eat his words.
Their connection is so obvious and tangible and even when things get tough between them it never fades. I had a rough time when their secrets came crashing down on them. The anxiety I felt was gut wrenching because I wanted them to be whole and good again. They both were so broken through this time and I just wanted them to heal.
I admit that there is some insta-lust which turns into love very fast and this may sound as a contradiction but it was still a slower burn than I expected. And oh, was it delicious. Their hate-lust in the beginning was only the build-up to the explosive and incinerating chemistry they'd have once they'd give into their strong attraction. Oh Lordy, that mixed with their hilarious and smart banter made their interactions completely addictive.
“What? A big dick? Too bad you have more of that in your personality than you do in your pants.”
Pam Godwin is becoming a favorite fast. Her captivating writing style had me read through this book in record time. I just couldn't put it down. Lorne's story is being set up in Buckled and I'm already salivating to get Booted in my hands!

I was very excited to jump into this one, because I absolutely love this author, and I loved the first book in this series "Knotted". Now, I am gonna be honest here, and say that I liked the first book a smidgen more, but that has to do with the fact, that it made me cry my eyes out within the first couple of pages :P
That said....this was a very good read. It was also very very sexy ;)
Those of you who have read "Knotted", already know Jarret and Maybe. If you haven't read the first book...STOP, go back and fix your mistake !! This book can not be read as a stand alone ;)
What I like most about this series, is the angst and the emotions and darkness. This one was a bit lighter than the previous book, but it was also a bit more mysterious. There are so many secrets...slowly being revealed... I loved every second of it.
You wanna know what I also loved ??? Bad boy cowboy Jarret getting his freak on !! Damn that man was sexy !! This HOT cowboy sure knew how to use his whip :P
These two have a difficult road to travel, but this is Jarret we are talking about. He won't let anything stand in his way....
Even though this book was really satisfying, the story is far from over.... I have a feeling that the BEST is still to come, with Lorne's book. I already know who his "love interest" is gonna be and I can't wait to read their story !!

As with all of Pam Godwin’s stories I fell in love with this one! I loved the banter between Maybe ( yes, that’s the heroine’s name) and Jarrett. Their chemistry was off the charts too! There is a sex scene where they are outside in the field during a storm... and I can tell you that I won’t ever forget that scene! If I had to name the top five favourite sex scene in my reading career, this would be included in my five! It was seriously hot!
The only reason this book didn’t get a five star rating was my frustration level when it came to Maybe’s decision regarding their relationship. I was flat out mad and her reasoning was dumb! I personally felt she should have been more upset about what Jarrett told her he did, rather than what she became upset with. I know... I am not making sense... I don’t want to give anything away though!

Stick a fork in me I’m done. Thanks to Jarret that sexy and protective cowboy. Oh my did he make me swoon with his larger than life heart and his kinky ways in the bedroom department. He kept surprising me with his feelings. Man did that man love hard. His love for his brother Jake and his girlfriend Conor and her brother Lorne are his everything. His family who he will do anything for and already has with no regrets. These four people share a bond and a secret.
A blonde and independent woman called Maybe Quinn has her own agenda for getting to the bottom of that secret. When she clashes with Jarret sparks fly. At first they’re apprehensive about one another but quickly makes a deal because of their mutual attraction. Also Jarret has his reasons for keeping the secret hidden and Maybe wants answers. Their deal is spending time with one another for answers. Which also means getting intimate.
Jarret and Maybe are incredible together thanks to an intense and combustible chemistry. I enjoyed their growing friendship and how Jarret took his time making Maybe feeling comfortable and safe around him. Jarret enjoys kinky sex and so does Maybe but hasn’t fully embraced it yet. The way Jarret makes her embrace her sexuality was beautifully and very sensually written that I needed a cold shower. These two made each other bloom and shine in every way. Maybe is a strong heroine with her own opinion and mind which I really liked. She didn’t take crap from anyone. Jarret just kept on wooing me with his protective and alpha side. He was determined to show Maybe that she belonged with him.
Buckled is a fabulous enemies to lovers romance with so much heart and soul. I enjoyed it so much thanks to five strong characters and a story with relatable topics such as family, loyalty and love. This series keeps getting better and I’m really excited for the final installment. All I can say is I want myself a cowboy.

Gosh this book gave me all the feels!!
This is my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last.
The book starts off with the prologue, which happened years before. I didn’t read book one, but I got enough context throughout the book to feel in the loop with what happened. Jarret, the main character in this book, is working with his brother Jake and his pseudo-sis Conor to kill and seek revenge for the rape that she suffered. Conor’s brother is in jail serving a sentence for killing one of the men that wronged her. In the prologue, we find out that they kick their dad out. Then we meet Maybe.
Maybe is a reporter that is kind of investigating what happened to these men that have gone missing, so she approaches Jarret and he agrees to have her at his ranch working, but they’re both holding secrets. We see him with another woman at the beginning, but this is when Maybe and he had just met. There’s this chemistry that is explosive whenever they’re in the same room, and it’s undeniable. Afterwards, he realizes that she’s not like other women and isn’t going to be convinced to be with him easily. She won’t give in to him, but does agree to work for him, and he admits to her that he will push her boundaries (sexually or not)- and once she says stop, all bets are off and she’ll leave the ranch immediately.
Time passes and she’s no closer to the truth, because both of them are not forthcoming with the secrets that they’re holding in. She hasn’t told him why she’s really there and he hasn’t told her where these men are (dead LOL). they get into a rhythm and when they finally are intimate, wow, fireworks everywhere 🥵🔥💦! She was completely hesitant because she doesn’t want to be another notch on his bed post, but he makes it very clear that he is into her early on, which allows her to be convinced, but not right away LOL.
I have to talk about Jarret’s dedication to her. When they were separated, he did not stray, he didn’t cheat, he didn’t even think about other women. And the separation was not a short one. This is a man that has sacrificed so much and is proving his worth day in and day out. I just love him so much! And the fact that he allowed Maybe to save a cow/calf... gah... all the damn feels!! He is DEVOTED, alpha, faithful and just plain yummy!!!

I really liked the first book in this series, I didn't love it as much as I usually love Pam Godwin's books, but it was decent all the same. Buckled is book 2 in the series of 'not standalones' and I have to tell you that I really, really liked this one. Jarrett was a far more intriguing brother than his twin Jake.
The chemistry was fabulous, and despite the instalove, it was a really well-paced romance between cowboy Jarrett and the mysterious Maybe, who came crashing into town looking for answers he doesn't want to give.
Whilst not as dark as the usual Godwin fare, this series is pretty kinky and well suited to readers who like a little dark but not too much.
I cannot wait for Lorne's book - that is going to be one hell of a ride!

Meh, it's passable.
I like to read romances because I like to see how two people fall in love, I love that journey. The development of that intimacy and relationship makes me establish an emotional connection with the characters, thus I can be invested in their story and I feel with them. In this case however, what we have is instant-love, so there is no growth of emotions, there is no falling in love part, they are just madly in love immediately and the rest is just plot, problems and complications. I couldn't feel their love, and as such I couldn't believe it. That is why it was imposible for me to establish that emotional connection to the characters and why I couldn't care about what was happening to them. I was so detached, that I couldn't even trouble myself with having an opinion about anything else here. I just didn't care.
P.S: Jarret reads older than he is supposed to be, no way is his age believable.

If Oklahoma has cowboys like Jarret Holsten, I imagine there isn't one woman who doesn't quiver when in their presence.
Jarret Holsten is a good guy. That is when he isn't killing someone. His brand of justice aside, he's loyal to the ones he loves and when he loves, his love is the all-consuming-take your breath away, kind of love.
And Jarret knew the minute Maybe walked up to him at the bar that she would not be someone easily walked away from. He was impressed by her steel backbone, he learned to enjoy her mouthiness and was turned on by the fire in her eyes.
Maybe Quinn was looking for answers, not romance when she came to Oklahoma. The secrets that the twins, Jake and Jarret held could be the answers to her problems. She just had to convince them to trust her and tell her what had been going on at the ranch.
Maybe was fierce, strong and funny. While she liked to have fun she also stood up for what she believed in and didn't back down. She too, loved with her whole being, often times, putting her wants and needs aside for the people she loved. Falling in love with Jarret was a complication she didn't need but also something she couldn't resist.
I loved that the sensual moments in this erotic novel complimented the story, they were not the focus. Often times, when the story revolves around the sex, I lose interest so I appreciated the fact that while Jarret loved his kink, there was so much more about him that was explored.
This book was such a pleasure to read. While reading, either my heart was in my throat, tears were in my eyes, or I was bellowing with laughter. Those last few chapters were perfect! And, And, OMG, LORNE, his book is NEXT! With the revelations in this book, I cannot wait to get inside his head. I have some theories so I can't wait to see if I am right!

Isn't it weird how some character's names just turn you off? This was the case for me after reading about the heroine, Maybe. Even though this is a nickname, it still bothers me and believe it or not, it affected my view of the story.
I also wasn't a big fan of Jarret's. Don't get me wrong, he's a fine cowboy and all but I'm over all the Dom stuff.
So, you're might be wondering how I could give this book four stars? Well, I can answer that in two words...Pam. Godwin. She's an amazing writer and she brought this story to life. I may not have cared for everything she created but I enjoyed the story all the same.

5+ Buckled Stars of Deliciousness!!
Fucking fantastic!!!!!! Devoured this book. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
OMG, the banter and the one-liners between these two alone made it worthy of the 5-star rating:
I saw in another review where it was mentioned what a presence Jarret has and I could not agree more. He was such a magnetic character and so vividly written.
And while the book might start on a lighter/ funny note...boy does that change and quickly!!
I cannot even!! The way he fights for her?! OMG, Jarret Holsten will go down as one of my top fave heroes EVER!!!
And let me just tell you, THAT sex scene??!?!?!?!?!!! (You'll know the one when you read the book...it needs no further introduction, trust me!) One of the hottest sex scenes I have ever freaking read. Good GOD!!!!

OMG, the banter and the one-liners between these two alone made it worthy of the 5-star rating:
“Do you hear voices in your head?” I lift a brow. He flashes a dark smile. “You hear them, too?”

“Hmmm.” I tap the flat side of the blade against my chin. “I just remembered. I have to be somewhere slash I’d rather scoop out my eyes with a rusty spoon.”
“Where are you taking me?”

I saw in another review where it was mentioned what a presence Jarret has and I could not agree more. He was such a magnetic character and so vividly written.
And while the book might start on a lighter/ funny note...boy does that change and quickly!!
“It won’t end well.”
“That’s where you’re wrong.” He takes another step toward me, pausing a few feet away. “It won’t end. Period.”
I cannot even!! The way he fights for her?! OMG, Jarret Holsten will go down as one of my top fave heroes EVER!!!

I must say that I was a little worried about this book, but Jarrett Holstein and Maybe Quinn won me over. A story of manipulation and mystery until love pushed it aside. But secrets have a funny way of being exposed eventually and then all bets are off.
This story is full of secrets and lies by both Jarrett and Maybe. While each thought they could play the other, they didn’t expect to uncover real feelings for one another. Maybe is all sassy, stubborn, smart and sexy. She has a plan to get answers and she intends to get them come hell or high water. She is feisty with a capital F. Jarrett is cocky, sexy, stubborn and controlling. He will use Maybe, get his fill of her and then get her to leave. But he didn’t bargain for her strong will and the high sexual tension between them. So much tension that it finally combusts and nothing is ever the same. I may never look at a lightening storm in the same way again.
Living at the ranch, Conor and Jake are present and we get glimpses of them. Also Lorne’s time in jail is slowing coming to an end and with him coming home and that ending........I’m all 😳😳😳and can’t wait for Booted.
So, I loved the progression of the story and I loved that besides keeping their secrets, Maybe and Jarrett fell in love. But I must say that after all the fireworks explode in the story, Maybe and her actions drove me a little crazy. I would have liked a little quicker resolution. It seemed to drag on too much with Maybe going round and round in her own head. But in all, I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the last book about Lorne.

4.25 stars. I really enjoyed this one! BDSM isn’t really my thang but this one got me hot and bothered. Maybe it was because it was really just tying and spanking stuff-without any ball gags and gimp masks- which I can handle.
Admittedly, I wasn’t really feeling the beginning of the book and I rolled my eyes when the H went from zero to a hundred like a rushed Alexa Riley, alpha caveman. But after their love was established, I looooooved how he loved the h and how he grovelled and fought to get her back -albeit blatantly stalkerish and dangerously obsessed- swoon for Jewels.
Told in dual POV with HFN that leads into book 3 of this series. I didn’t read book 1 but got the general gist of the storyline by reading heaps of reviews and was able to easily get up to scratch jumping into this book as a standalone.

Oh man! I loved this so damn much! I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous because Book 1 shook me a tiny bit. But this was all the things!! Jarret made my heart sing!
Jarret and Maybe's love story starts in an unconventional way, but boy was it sexy. She breezes in town looking for a story. Obviously, the brothers are closed off and wary of reporters. Jarrett knows that she's harboring a secret, just as Maybe knows he had dark secrets.
His secrets are the only things that are dark, so are his desires. There are light elements of BDSM elements that I absolutely adored. But most impressive was the undeniable chemistry between these two characters. The lies and secrets eventually come to a head and the conflict nearly broke me.
Overall, its an emotional roller coaster ride that excited and thrilled me. I highly recommend it!

As much as Knotted conflicted me, I loved Buckled. The compelling characters, the ranch life, the storyline were excellent. Jarret and Maybe piqued my curiosity in the first installment and their story didn't disappoint. Jarret's possessiveness of Maybe and his protectiveness of his family touched me. Therefore he is a true alpha cowboy, one I could very well fall for. His determination didn't hide his playful attitude, which I enjoyed greatly. The secrets and mystery surrounding Maybe's appearance in their town and her strength and fight drew him in. Then starts a dangerous game, one that could break both of them in their quest for answers. I absolutely loved Maybe adaptation skills. She is a woman who knows where she stands at and what needs to be done. And when decisions needed to be made, she acted. Oh, how crazy the intensity, the anticipation and the mystery drove me!!!
As always I need to praise Pam Godwin flawless and precise writing. The dark atmosphere of that series, the documented ranch scenes and the twisted intrigue totally enthralled me.

4 Solid Stars
Buckled would have easily been a 5 star read as I loved everything about this book up until the 80% mark. That’s when the heroine, who I loved up to that point, behavior completely annoyed me and dropped my rating. Things were just dragged out too long and she become one of those “to stupid to live” heroines. Everything turned out okay in the end, and I still like her character, but the last 20% put a damper on my overall enjoyment of the book. Still, Buckled is one of Pam Goodwin better reads. There’s a dark sexy undertone to the plot but there’s also enough comic relief to create the perfect dark read. As for Jarred? He’s hands down my favorite of her hero’s.

THE STORY:
This is the second book in Pam Goodwin’s ‘Trails of Sin’ series. Although they each have their own HEA they must be read in order to understand and follow the storyline.
Jarret and Maybe first met in Book#1 Knotted were we got a sneak peek into the start of their sizzling story when Jake walked in on Jarret whipping the mysterious blonde reporter with a riding crop whilst tied half naked to a post in the barn.
Maybe wants answers and Jarret wants to give them to her, only he wants to trade secrets beneath the sheets of his bed.
Jarret knows Maybe has secrets of her own and he plans on getting the truth from her eventually. He first has to gain her trust and that will not be an easy task. Life on the cattle farm is about to get a new sort of busy when Jarret shows Maybe actions sometimes speak louder than words.
She’s my serenity and my fire, my first and last breath. Lying beside her is my favorite place, and for the rest of my life and into the next, she’s all mine.
MY THOUGHTS:
Pam has a magical way with her words, captivating her audience with brilliant storytelling and lovable characters. I was enraptured in the story from beginning to end.
Jarret’s character is intense and dominating but so damn hot. He is as equally determined as he is passionate towards Maybe which makes it one hot and sexy build up between the two. The chemistry between them is like a ferocious brewing storm. I loved the use of witty humour throughout the story, you cannot help but to fall in love with Jarret, Jake & Conor’s unbreakable and everlasting bond of love, loyalty and friendship.
Maybe was a strong willed and stubborn heroine, I liked the fight in her, she didn’t want to appear weak and was prepared to take full responsibility for her mistakes, Hats of to her or should I say Steeton’s of to her.
This is one of those stories that has you smiling one minute and frowning the next, it will pull on your nerves, rattle your bones and soften your heart. I’m hooked on the Cowboy’s at Julep Ranch.
This lost half a star because I didn’t like the amount of time Jarret's and Maybe stayed apart from one another, I think it took way too long for Maybe to find her way back home.
I simply cannot wait for Lorne and Raina story in Booted I am almost certain it’s going to be the darkest story of the three!

Wow what a book. It was so good I 've been really looking forward to this since Jake's book. Jarret is a great character he is a lil intense but super hot. He has been through a the past. His brother Jake and him have had to make some really hard decisions in there lives.They have also done and seen bad stuff to. It was never part of there plans to turn into the people they are today but they had to do what they had to do to protect each other and the two people that are like there family Conor and Lorne. Jarret is a very strong alpha guy he knows what he wants and gets its. No one will stand in his way when he has set his sites on something. Once his eyes lock on Maybe Quinn he knows he's done for. Even if she is hiding things he needs to have her.
Maybe is a quiet girl and totally different to Jarret. She has heard a few things about them and knows she is a bout to get herself in a sticky situation but she needs answers and Jarret and his brother are the guys to go through. Even though she is quiet she is a strong minded woman and knows what she wants and doesn't give us when things get in the way. She knew it was goin to be hard getting answers from Jarret she just didn't think she would end up falling in love with the hot sexy cowboy.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the first book was brilliant but this was just as good. I liked that the story followed on after what had happened in the first book. So I would recommend that you read the first book before this one. You won't be disappointed it's such a great book. Again like the last book this story was heart breaking Maybe goes through a lot dealing with so much rejection she starts to feel she may be better on her own. There are a lot of secrets they both have to tell each and there not easy ones. I really liked Maybe and Jarret's characters they fit so well together. It's hard not to fall for Jarret he is super hot and Maybe is so sweet. It was also great to get more from Jake and Conor. I m really really looking forward to Lorne's book after the way this book ended. It wasn't a bad cliffy so don't worry it just make you want to know more about certain situations. I would highly recommend this book and author I luv luv them both.

I am in the minority with this review and it PAINS me to say I didn’t enjoy Buckled since I loved the first book, Knotted so much.
I didn’t have any expectations for this book, but I will say I wasn’t excited for the Heroine since in the last book I knew she was a reporter and I generally don’t like reporter type of story.
So the big problem with this one for me was the “secret” storyline. I CAN NOT STAND this storyline. I JUST finished a book with a “secret” storyline and so I went into Buckled with a bad mood already. I don’t like it when the Heroine has something about her past that she wants to say, but she can’t and we read the WHOLE book before we find out.
The thing that makes it worst is that she keeps on mentioning her secret. This is another pet peeve of mine.
I like Jarret a lot. He’s a lovable guy and even though he’s a man whore, he’s still great.
It just sucks that I hated Maybe and what kind of name is that? Gah I hated her name too. I felt like she strung Jarret along and the whole

Words are failing me at the moment. I’m caught in a whirlwind of love for the characters Pam Godwin has created in this dark, twisty, hot series. These cowboys are not your typical cowboys..they’re not heroes, but to me they are. I love a good anti-hero. A bad boy that takes care of business no matter what the cost. They love their family and their women so fiercely that they would do anything to protect, and I do mean anything. There were moments I couldn’t breathe. I fell in love with Jarret and Maybe. They are truly special. Can’t wait to dive into Booted!!

Buckled is the second book in the Trailer of Sins series and not a stand-alone. You need to read Knotted first to be fully aware of the world you set your foot in.
You already know Jarret but you also meet Maybe in the first book. So many questions are left unanswered by the end of book 1. I really needed to know who was Maybe? Why she was there? What were her intentions? And how would she handled Jarret?
For sure Pam Godwin answered all of them! Once againBuckled is a fast past kind of read. The intrigue surrounding brothers & sister doesn’t evolve much BUT the tension between our two MC is all over the place.
Jarret has special needs meaning he’s into BDSM. I was not expecting it when I first started the series but you are warned Jack&Jarret are two kinky twin brother. I would say that Jack was on a softer side. Even if the bdsm element is not a major point, it’s still there. Jarret is an alpha man waiting for the right woman to fully accept him and what he wants.
The moment he meet Maybe, he hope she is the one. Everything about her scream perfection. But be careful Maybe is not a submissive all the time.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed spending my time with this couple. The need for each other is strong and when they let themselves be their connection was off the charts!! Still I was a little taken aback by how Maybe acted in the last 20% thus the reason for my 4 stars rating.
Now I’ll have to wait a little more for Lorne’s story. I have a feeling it’s going to be intense. After all the guy is just out after 10 years behind bars but I’m so ready for him.
