If you believe in romance . . . I don’t want to know his full name. I don’t even want his phone number. In fact, the only thing I want from Jude is the filthy hot sex the masterful hung stud delivers on a weekly basis. He’s way too young for me . . . and much too good at fulfilling my every dirty desire. He definitely isn’t supposed to show up one morning on my doorstep with an offer I can’t refuse. Now he’s in my life on a daily basis, and I can’t shake him no matter how hard I try. He’s absolutely unsuitable. She’s everything he knew he wanted from the first moment he saw her. A book full of filthy sex and beautiful tortured romance. Why Him? is a standalone novel with a tear-worthy HEA, no cheating, no cliffhangers, just all yes. Keep the fan handy, you’ll need it.

There are no words to describe that blight to the human eye…

My Review:

Oh, my… This couple was deliciously naughty and with explosive sensual chemistry, I felt sorry for the ladies working housekeeping in the hotel they frequented as I’m sure their room required steam cleaning and their linens could only be tossed upon their exit. The writing was salaciously scandalous and occasionally went a bit past my comfort zone for eewwww with the body fluids, while their activities were punctuated with the filthiest of bawdy talk, OMG, I couldn’t read fast enough, err, I mean, for review and research purposes, of course… hmmm. Yep, that’s it… All right, I will confess to experiencing a sharp increase in respirations while reading, as well as frequent gasping for breath, elevated heart rate, and an uptick in my laundry needs.

Rie Warren left me breathless! While the storyline was highly lascivious, there was also a highly amusing family drama as well as a sweet romance building between decidedly endearing characters. The story was original, easy to follow and smirk-worthy and enjoyable, despite the lubricity and sticky residue. And I learned a new word - fapping - what the boys used to call spanking the monkey in my highly sheltered youth.

I received this book as an ARC from the talented Rie Warren. What an awesome way to spend my day as to read this book! First, many may not know, but I do not typically care for the female characters in books. Cady however, was wonderful. Strong woman, with a career, a life, a family...she was cracked but not broken. She wasn't a 20 something that didn't' have it together. She was great.
Jude...oh, alpha sexy! Talk about perfection...has a loyalty and love for family AND is smoking hot!! I'll take one!
Secondary characters were all written well, you fell in love with the kids, Cady's BFF, and Rawls. Great balance of true story and off the charts smut!
Rie is a relatively new author for me, and I can't wait to dive into the next book!

3.5 stars - I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

This is a book for exhausted single mums everywhere. True - it is a completely implausible fantasy read - but it does kinda tick off about a dozen mid life fantasies in a single read. Anonymous hook-up with a hot younger man? Gorgeous manny who takes over domestic duties? Being pursued by a sexy professional sportsman? The relationship between Cady and Jude isn’t just a cliche - it is the embodiment of every working mother’s fanciful daydreams.

While this was a fun read and I’m sure it was never supposed to be taken too seriously, parts of it gave me reader whiplash. The story starts with a scene that can only be described as crazy explicit erotica - and then we get sex free domestic drama for the next hundred pages. It is an odd mix and it doesn’t quite work. The first hook-up scene was a huge turnoff for me and if I hadn’t committed to reviewing this as an ARC, I might have given up on the book.

The charm in this book is Jude as an unbelievably perfect fantasy man. There are several laugh out loud moments as he worms his way into Cady’s affections by working as her manny. Cady’s kids are funny and Jude’s double life as a household name sportsman and child care provider is amusing. For me, Cady is a little bit too neurotic and a little bit too perfect to be endearing. If this book is everywoman’s fantasy, the successful lawyer with Amal Clooney’s body and wardrobe doesn’t really resonate as a character most women can easily relate to. In an otherwise fluffy read, Cady’s hangups about Jude’s age feel whiny and pointlessly angsty.

This is sugary sweet entertainment. I can relate to the fantasies and I fell hard for Jude. It’s a fantasy escape from the everyday and I enjoyed it.

I will start this by saying I was lucky enough to be given an ARC from the author.

I read this book in ONE DAY. I really, really liked it. the characters are well written and funny. I found myself engrossed in the love story and truly rooting for them.

One minor thing that I super loved is that Cady is a partner in a woman-run law firm. That little detail filled my paralegal heart with joy.

Cady is such a complex character, with layers and layers of personality to dig through.

Jude, as all of Ms. Warren's men, is hot AF, but also kind and caring, which is something that is sorely lacking in the bookworld.

plus, you know, hella hot sex scenes 😍😍

everyone should give this book a read, you will not be disappointed!

3.5*s of fun fantasy romance

This is a fun story, with the mysterious start, the unexpected meeting and the mission to make it permanent. I enjoy Ms Warren's style, which is usually no holds barred, with plenty of humour, super hot encounters and larger than life characters. In this book we also have the benefit of the children who are perfect at adding the aww, as well as the giggles.

I think this is perfect escapism, especially for any single Mum who needs a break from dirty laundry, school runs and work pressures. Cady doesn't have it that hard, as she is clearly successful and can make ends meet, but meeting Jude leads to more than she ever, ever thought she could have, or even want!

I am looking forward to the next book in the series - apparently each is a standalone.

Hot!
What an interesting plot line!!! I loved the way they meet. Hot younger man, sexy mature woman. No last names exchanged - just hot sex once a week. Annnnd then we get a glimpse of her real life. Cady is a single mom of 3 boys and a successful divorce attorney looking for a nanny to help her with her boys. Who shows up at her door but her weekly hook up, Jude - sent by her son's football coach. You have the typical boy shenanigans, frazzled mom and a man who gets along great with her boys. Cady lets their age difference get in the way before realizing what a gem Jude really is. I loved meeting Rawls, Jude's dad and Joelle, Cady's paralegal. Both provided an interesting and fun backdrop to the relationship. As always Rie has written another great story and I can't wait for her next one!

It was an interesting way for Cady and Jude to meet, by having a hook up once a week with no questions or personal information exchange. This was great for Cady since she was an independent, hardworking, single mother of three and divorce under her belt. By the hook up with Jude she could forget her reality and have the me time of being pleasure by very talented Jude and not worry about any strings attached. It all came crashing down when Jude shows up on her front porch one morning while she was getting her family ready for the day. Jude was as shock as Cady when she opens the door and he was standing there. Jude knows in an instant that he wanted Cady more than the one night a week hook ups. He doesn’t care about her extra baggage or their age difference. She is too stubborn that she may lose best thing that could happen to her family, since she is hung up on the age difference. You will not be disappointed in this book, grab a copy to find out if Jude gets what he wants and if Cady can let the age difference go and enjoy life. I won an ARC from Goodreads and happy I got a chance to ready Cady and Jude’s story.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Why Him is the first book in the Mistaken Identities series.

Cady is just coming out of a divorce. She has custody of her three teenage boys whose lives have been interrupted enough but she still has needs. What happens as a chance meeting at a bar turns into a regular Thursday night thing. There were no names exchanged, no personal details shared just a night of passion.

When coach asks Jude to help out a friend who needs help watching her boys, he figures he has nothing better to do since he can't play football anymore after a career ending injury. When he gets to the house he's surprised by who he finds. Can fate really be playing a part in his life?

Can Cady and Jude keep the attraction they have between them from her sons? Can she get over the fact that Jude is younger than her? Can Jude make her see she needs him in her life?

The story is definitely sex heavy in the beginning but has you continue with the story you see why it was written that way. Cady and Jude are combustible when they get together and Jude has a swoon worthy moment or two that draws you in.

I enjoyed it and am interested in seeing where the rest of this series goes!

I received this book as an ARC from Rie Warren. I read this book in one sitting. I don't normally do that I have kids busy life all that so for me to sit in one sitting and read the whole thing you know it was crazy good.
Cady was a wonderful, Strong woman, with a career, a life, and a family. She was a wonderful character who I could completely get behind and want to be friends with.
Jude oh my, what can we say about him. He was a strong had an alpha sense about him. He was a loyal had a love for family that we don't see in men this day and age. He was wonderful and refreshing.
Rie has a way of pulling you into her books and making you feel like you are there with her characters, Living right alongside them. I can't wait to see what's next for some of these charters we were introduced to in this book.

Oh my gods I just finished this book and I'm so glad I have the chance to review it. First off I hope your all ready for some off the hook wild sexy reading. These two characters are hot and well I wouldn't mind expect anything less from Rie ;)

Now I want to spill everything but then you wouldn't read it. Now I can say this one is very very steamy right from the start and well it's got a killer (not the kill the character way) twist that is just so perfect. And if you have read other works of hers there is a special appearance of one hot AF couple from one of her drool worthy series.

I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next from this series!!!!

3.5 stars

I enjoyed the book, but Cady's constant issue with Jude's age got to be really old, really quick. She's a self-confident woman, knows what she wants and goes for it. Except she thinks that Jude at 26 doesn't know what he wants.

Jude is patient as any saint. He has strong feelings for Cady and does his best to show her just how much she means to him. He adores Cady and her children, and Jude has demonstrated nothing but honor and integrity towards her and everyone else.

It was a nice evening read and the heat level is off the charts.

HOLY SMOKES Rie Warren is back and with a vengeance!

Is it hot in here? No? Just me? Damn I think I need an ice cold shower, Why Him? is hotter than hot!

Why Him? is oh so sexy and erotic. Ms. Warren certainly knows how to craft a ridiculously dirty and contemporary story.

As usual Rie Warren puts her own unique stamp on a an over utilized trope... the May-December, older woman-younger man... whatever you want to call it trope is usually campy and predictable but Ms. Warren has crafted a distinct and engaging story.

I don't want to give anything away but Why Him? has it all, a little bit of comedy, a touch of angst and whole lot of sexy!

Five Sexy Stars to Why Him? and Rie Warren!

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author.*

Goodness gracious, this book jumps right into pure hotness. Definitely keep a fan handy! Or a toy!
Cady is a divorcee with two kids. She and her ex-husband are both divorce attorneys, but she's better. All her time is spent working or with her kids. One night she's out having a drink when a stranger hits on her and all of her normal brush-offs don't seem to work, which makes her do something completely out of the ordinary...room 27 every Thursday night.

"I was just scratching that itch, you know? No names. No details. Then he arrives at my house. He's too young. Too brawny. Too ... ohmygod he's really talented. How am I supposed to look at him like I don't want to have him in bed every Thursday night?"

Jude is an ex- NFL player. Due to an injury he finds himself wanting to get back to his roots, starting with the coach who got him started. Meeting 'Catherine' wakes up something him. He looks forward to Thursday nights and the feel of her skin, but he wants more. It isn't until he ends up on Cady's (aka Catherine's) doorstep for a job that he'll finally get his wish. He'll get to know her better, but she'll refuse to go back to room 27 after he becomes a daily part of her life.

"...the only MILF I was interested in was Cady."

Jude is the perfect man. He's patient. He's sweet. And oh my goodness he's even wonderful with her boys.

Cady needs to learn to open up, stop worrying about what others may think, and follow her heart.
Why Him? is another sex-tastic book from Rie Warren. I couldn't put it down! It was captivating, sexy, and humorous. The characters were well written (including Cady's boys). And every page brought me deeper into the story. Can't wait to read Why Her?.

Discovered this book when it was posted in a FB group, and I immediately snapped it up. An absolute treat, loved this book.

I'll certainly keep this new to me author on my radar, and truly hoping she continues to write heroines who are over 30 years old.
The heroine in this book Cady, decides to keep her personal life a secret when she meets Jude. Jude and Cady indulge in serious weekly sexploits. But when Jude accidentally discovers Cady's personal world, that's when the real fun began for me as a reader.
I'm quite picky when it comes to young children being a major part of the story, this book definitely ranks in my top five children heavy storylines.
Cady's three boys, as she so eloquently referred to them, as her hooligans. Lol. These kids were so entertaining. The author really gave each one of the boys their own distinct personality. My absolute favorite parts of the book were not the liquidy hot sex scenes, my favorite scenes were anytime the boys were included.
Quite frankly, the author perfectly balanced all of the characters, enjoyed every one of them.

I truly wish this book had a sequel. Would be interesting to follow Jude back into his sport in his new role which would lead Cady into a world of potential new clients.

It's really funny that being an older woman who wouldn't kick a younger man out of her bed, I don't normally get into the older woman/younger man books, but I guess I just hadn't read the right one yet. Should have known that the extremely amazing Rie Warren would have me devouring on that she wrote, as Why Him? totally had me reading it in less than 2 hours. It all starts when Cady has a Thursday night hook up with a younger man who she met at a bar, and this night is so hot, that they set the sheets on fire with their filthiness, so no panties will be safe. It gets complicated when he shows up at her door, especially since she hasn't told him her last name or even her real name, to help her out with her three rowdy boys. Now she's putting him at arms length, although the fire hasn't been doused at all, just Cady refuses to give in to it. Yeah this story had it all, the hotness (see above), drama from a female who thinks too much, frustrating push & pull, and humor from 3 boys who kept me laughing with their antics throughout. So does Cady have any chance against 4 boys?! You will just have to read this story to find out for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

✯✯5 Smoking Hot Stars!!!✯✯

Rie Warren continues writing books that I fall in love with after another. This is the first book in her Mistaken Identities series. I was so into it that I read it in one afternoon.

Cady is newly divorced and she’s the mother of three active teenage boys. She’s a mother first and lawyer second. Cady rarely does anything for herself. Until Jude walked into her life.

She gave Jude a fake name and nothing else except her body. They meet once a week and they loose themselves. Cady knows she’s a few years older then him. But, the way he works her body in ways no man has ever before is beyond her wildest dreams. Cady knows their weekly dates can’t last forever but she’ll enjoy it as long as she can.

But, when he showed up at her door one morning from the boys football coach to help her, Cady knows their times come to an end.

Cady is unlike any woman Jude’s ever met. He knows she’s strict about the rules that they originally made. So for now he’ll play by her rules.

Jude still getting use to not being able to play football after his injury. He moved back home to help take care of his father. When his old coach asks him to help one of the mothers with her sons Jude figures why not.

Jude was shocked when Cady opened the door the day after their weekly date. Jude definitely liked seeing her frazzled and not in complete control like she always is. Jude knows there’s a reason why this is happening.

Cady agreed to let Jude help with the boys. The boys like and listen to him. But, she lets him know their weekly get together are over. Jude just laughs it off. Bc, he’s not letting Cady go. She might think she’s too old for him and have too much baggage for him. But, Jude doesn’t care. As long as he has Cady and her sons he’s happy. So, he’ll play her game but only for a little while.

These two were hot!!! I mean I was sitting outside in 90 degree weather and I wasn’t hit from the sun belting down on me. It was from Jude and Cady. I also loved seeing some of the folks from Rie's Bad Boy Ballers series. You must one click this. You won’t regret it!!

I really enjoyed Stevie and Kane. They had this chemistry that I get from their first meeting and let bed the struggle that they had to keep things business. Stevie was the yang to Kane’s ying and the banter between the two was great. I’m really hoping that there will be a book about Stevie’s brother and best friend. I see something brewing there. The other secondary characters really helped the story progress and added a great dynamic and witty banter to the story.

Like with the first book I wish the author had added some sort of epilogue. Yes they get a HEA but it felt unfinished. When it comes to the drama aspect of the book (I don’t want to give spoilers) but felt like that was also unfinished. I wanted to really see some kind of justice. Maybe in another book with the BF and brother? Maybe?

Overall it was a cute steamy read that I did enjoy. This author has a way with banter and these age difference type novels. I can say I’m hooked on this series. I can’t wait for more. 4 stars #2OCCJD

I absolutely inhaled this book. I love a good story along with the heat and this book owned it. First-what an introduction!! From the very first page you just know, holy hell this is going to be hot...and then you are continually assured of this all the way through the first THREE chapters. When your heart starts beating normally again at the start of chapter four, you’re officially introduced to both of the lead characters, Jude and Cady. Right off the bat you also get some hilarious dialogue between Cady’s kids involving arson and fapping. Yes-I googled fapping because that joke just kept on giving. The book had depth, which I really respected, and the characters were love-able and human. I truly appreciated the family aspect being tied in versus just the hot and heavy between Cady and Jude. We still got that crazy heat, but with a plot I could appreciate that flowed really well. This is a must read!!

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I absolutely loved this book. I thought I would because I am a fan of the author but something about the blurb had me wondering if maybe this one wasn't going to be for me but I was so glad I went ahead because it was amazing.
This story I about Jude a slightly broken younger athlete and Cady a very successful now single Mum. There is chemistry between them from the start but all is not as it seems. You will find out what I mean when you read the book.
Now Jude is my current book boyfriend. He has a perfect body, a kind and generous personality and is a sex god. What more do you need really?
Cady is a great leading lady too. she is strong and independent and parents similar to me so I really liked her.
The two have quite a few hurdles to get over but Jude (sigh) knows just what to do and that makes me love him even more.
This book was just the right blend of steamy and romantic for me. The characters felt real and their issues too so I can't recommend this enough.

I have read a lot of Rie's work, almost all, and this is very different. It's still erotic, but it is more of a novella, and oddly enough, it's the first one in my personal memory that is set a more clean cut environment. South Carolina as usual, but no motorcycles, no MCs, no Mafia, no end of the world...it's somewhat refreshing, as much as I love her usual style.
It's also very different because this one doesn't beat around the bush. At all. We get hot and heavy with Cady and Jude right away, and while it was slightly startling, the chemistry is undeniable and the erotic parts - which are quite well spaced- are always a turn on.
Where Rie excels, even in this shorter offer, is at writing an erotic romance that is about real people, which makes you laugh, get emotional, get aroused, root for the for protagonists and is simply impossible to put down.
I musy confess I wanted more - I always do - but this was very damn near perfect as always.

I’m loving this series! I read “Why Her “ and liked it so much, I just knew I’d have to read “Why Him” too...I still don’t know how I missed reading this book first...who knows. Luckily for me Ms. Warren gave me a copy to read and I’m so glad she did. Jude, oh my gosh that man is totally precious, and hot and funny and so sexy...he’s the total package. He hooks up with “Catherine” for a standing night of pure sex each week. Catherine doesn’t do last names or want to know anything about him or him know anything about her more than what position would be great to try out next. Come to find out she has a pretty good reason to be this way. First of all she’s Cady not Catherine and she has a house full of crazy boys and a career and a failed marriage and...yeah you get the point...she needed those anonymous Thursday nights...a lot! Without giving anything else away, I will tell you that this book is pure Rie Warren fun...totally sexy, sweet characters and hilarious situations! You really should read it and don’t forget to read “Why Her” too, you definitely won’t regret it!

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book!

This was a first read by this author. First and foremost. The title ahould have been Room 27. But that is just my opinion. I actually really enjoyed the book. I kind of was looking for a bigger moment, but it was fine the way it ended up. I fell in love with Jude. He was sexy, broody and alpha caveman over Cady. I loved how he took a genuine interest in Cady's boys and he beought humor aling with heat. Cady happened to be really stubborn. She must have been a Taurus. She couldn't coonect the brain with the heart until it was almost too late. However, this book didnt have a cliffy and it ended nicely. It was all around a good read.

From the moment I opened Rie Warren's newest book I was hooked!!! I believe you will be too!
If you have never read a Rie Warren book, well my dears, you are in for a HOT SULTRY WILD RIDE! This girl can write one hell of a story! Bring ice, lots of ice. And a fan!
The characters are well written as is the story.
Oh Jared is one HOT ripped dude and Cady is a strong divorce lawyer with 3 smart a$$ boys
(looking forward to reading their stories)
Here is the teaser

If you believe in romance . . .

I don’t want to know his full name.
I don’t even want his phone number.
In fact, the only thing I want from Jude is the filthy hot sex the masterful hung stud delivers on a weekly basis.
He’s way too young for me . . . and much too good at fulfilling my every dirty desire.
He definitely isn’t supposed to show up one morning on my doorstep with an offer I can’t refuse.
Now he’s in my life on a daily basis, and I can’t shake him no matter how hard I try.

My recommendation is to buy the book
Read this book and become a Rie Warren fan like I have!
You will NOT be disappointed!!!

If you are in the market for a very hot, steamy read, look no further than Why Him by Rie Warren. A May December romance that hooked me right from the start. Cady was not looking for romance or a relationship, been there, done that as they say. She was looking to scratch that itch. Jude was younger and seemed to know his way around. He was just what the doctor ordered and was most likely just looking for a steamy encounter as well. The results of this chance encounter will knock your socks off. Amazingly sensual read you won't want to miss! Oh it has all the "feels" as well.

This is a wonderfully written story about a younger man / older woman scenario. These two have a once a week arrangement, where no names are exchanged, and no strings attached. That is until their worlds collide when Cade is looking for a nanny and Jude arrives at the door. This talented author has written a fantastic storyline, which is emotional, humorous, and thoroughly entertaining. I cannot wait to read more in this captivating series, and highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

Why Him is one hell of a steamy, hot book! The premise of the story sounded intriguing and it is definitely was worth reading!
Anonymous hook up, no strings attached, but when their worlds collide...
Jude and Cady had amazing chemistry even if she wasn’t willing to let him completely in. He is a great guy, good with her kids but all she can focus on is why would a younger hot guy want an older women with three kids? Jude had his work cut out for him trying to convince her otherwise.

Rie Warren has once again proven why she is one of my favorite authors! Why Him? had me fanning myself with the first page and hooked from the first word. Jude and Cady had incredible chemistry and throw in Cady's three sons and this book was not only hot, but had me laughing out loud and so completely entertained that I did not want it to end! Why Him? is a definite must read and perfect start to Rie Warren's new Mistaken Identity series.

Oh my goodness..... what a book. This is definitely one that you will want to read alone and should I say under the covers..... ooops.... Anyway this is a well written story about a lot of great sex and the woman who is getting it. I do not want to give away the details but I will say, if you like this type of genre, you will LOVE this book.

Hot and steamy with some great characters bringing the heat and a lot of laugh out loud craziness! Although I enjoyed the chemistry between Jude and Cady, there is a thin line between erotic and disgusting. The over the top, graphic descriptions of the constant exchange of bodily fluids soon became quite queasy. It's a shame because between Jude's father and Cady's sons and her ex-husband, this story was really, really good!
