LOVED IT! I loved seeing a strong woman and an alpha male up against each other, but not fighting against each other! I think Nick might be my favorite...right now anyhow!

Nick and Amber Jaymes, or AJ as he called her, were neighbors and best friends as children. They shared a lot of firsts. First date, first kiss, you get the idea. There would never be another woman for Nick. They had been in love until the day Nick told her the biggest lie of his life. He told her he didn't love her love her and she needed to forget him and move on. Why? Because of the man he had become would never be able to be the boy she fell in love with and deserved.
I've come in the middle of this series, not having read books 1 & 2, but had no problem following the storyline or the underlying plot that is taking place. The characters are well developed and each have such personalities they lead you where you need to be for the best impact of what is going on. Love story and mystery abound in this book and Cari Robe has create a tale that has intrigued me with her storyline. I'll definitely be going backwards to read the first two books in order to be caught up before the next one comes out. This was a great read.

I mostly enjoyed this story, and Nick and Amber were great leads. Really the only problem I have with it is the writing is a bit disjointed and choppy most of the time. The story itself, though, is good. I always love second chances and Nick and Amber's journey to their second chance is sexy and exciting. I'm looking forward to more of this series and am hoping the writing smooths out in coming stories.

Cari Heart is a new auther to me and I am so glad I decided to read this book. I love the cover and that is was originally drew me into the book. Nick has come home on a mission but runs into the women he is and has been in love with for a long time. He is ubpnable to tell her why he did what he did but he is also unable to fight the deep feelings he has for her. Amber was supposed to be having lunch with a friend when she runs into Nick and she knows why in the last five years she has not been able to find true love. Can these two find a way back to each other even after all comes out.

The men and women of Angel Security are great. Nick and Amber are just another example of how love can survive time. I enjoyed reading how they were friends as kids and then become first loves. Nick and Amber were strong enough to keep their love for each other alive in their hearts even though they were apart. When they came back together you could feel the love they had for each other. I love to read a story where the words are put together where you feel like you are sucked into a portal and pulled right into the story yourself.

This is a well written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong and believable and the story flows fluidly. The author brings Bryn and Oliver together in this mafia romance and gives them a hot chemistry and a beautiful love. She does a great job pulling you into the story and keeps you turning the pages as fast as you can to see what's happening next. I was hooked from start to finish reading their story and would recommend this book.

Nick and Amber were in a relationship which ended when he told her a lie. Now back, he has to deal with the fallout. I loved the writing of this book. I thought the storyline was well written and I thought the characters were very intriguing. The emotions were so apparent in this book. I sympathized with him and I was in anguish with her having to deal with a man who left her only to return. Well done.

Fun, Fast Read
This book was fast paced and packed with action. I loved seeing both the alpha side and tender side of Nick. I loved that Amber was going after Nick like she wanted and not dwelling on the past hurt and anger.
I loved the book and would definitely recommend it. So many feels!!

Nick and Amber have a history. Nick lied to her to protect her. He is now back and wants Amber in his life. The author takes us through their trials and tribulations back to each other. Nick finds a home with Brant’s security company and can finally be the life partner Amber needs. Good read.

This was fast paced and a lot of intrigue. There still a lot of unanswered questions but hopefully there will be more in the series and we get some answers. My first book from this author and I really enjoyed it.

This was an amazing story. The characters reach out and grab you and don't let go. The only thing I have a complaint about was it was too short. I want MORE!!!

Good read
Nick and ambers story was a good one . I felt it was a rather quick read. It moved along effortlessly but still had plenty of twists and turns to the story.

Cari Robe has well and truly done it again! She has written a fantastic book, that I just could not put down. Nick and AJ grew on me, and as the story unfolded I fell in love with them both!

Love this series!! If you are looking for suspense, intrigue and well developed characters then this is a must read. AJ and Nick were lovers ripped apart. He returns home for work and into her life. Can they come back to one another with all the secrets and lies between them?

Great book with lovable characters. The love and passion between Nick and Amber even after years of not being together is hot. Nick is here on a mission but when he runs in to Amber it’s a game changer, she is the love of his life. The one that got away but this time he is hanging on for dear life determined not to let her go . This story was action packed and thrilling . The characters are enjoyable and realistic and Amber is a strong female who doesn’t take crap. Together her and Nick are one bada** couple.
