Ann can’t tolerate the new guy assigned to her camera crew. She’s been in journalism long enough to know when someone is full of himself. And this guy is so full of himself, he can’t seem to point the camera in the right direction. Her latest assignment in Brazil, seemed harmless enough, but now she’s in over her head and the only way out is to trust the man that helped put her in the line of fire to begin with.

Ethan is ex-special forces with a stellar record and long resume of top secret missions. Leaving the military was a tough decision, but working for himself provides the freedom he loves. Taking the occasional high-profile security job helps pay the bills and keep his need for excitement at bay. The Secret Guardian

If there is one thing he is good at, Ethan Knight is the quintessential body guard.

On assignment in Rio De Janiero with a feisty news journalist. He is presented with a situation that comes from a higher power. The journalist's father. He is undercover, and his assignment is Ann Rhodes.

Ann Rhodes is a force of nature and doesn't go down easy. She is on the trail of something huge concerning the human rights of those in Brazil, when she meets with an informant. But the interview goes south quickly, and something threatens her life and those around her.

When tragedy strikes, Ethan must blow his cover in order to save Ann and himself, to get back to safety. In order to his job, he must lead them on a dangerous path through the jungles of Brazil. Throughout their adventure, they have to avoid dangerous jungle creatures and those who intend to capture them. With each step taking them to safety could be leading them into worse danger. But the biggest danger of them all...falling for each other.

Here's one of my favorite parts.

"He stood there and watched her and even though the water was cold enough to have any man shivering, he felt himself getting hot. She ran her hands over her hair, down her neck towards her breast and he licked his lips seeing her nipples pucker in the icy water." Jill Sanders-Secret Guardian.

To me nothing says hotness like a man admiring women. And this scene did it for me.

This is part of a series, but this book to me is a stand out and could very well be a stand alone. I enjoyed this book much more than the last. Any female character who can connect a round house kick to a man and lay him out, well, sign me up!

Each book just gets better , Great adventure and romance !

Ann has been sent to Rio on an assignment with her lim crew but one member of her crew just completely infuriates her, he is full of himself and she is determined to get him fired when they get backound the states ; but what Ann does not know Is that the very same man is actually with her only to protect her.
Ethan is ex special forces and has been hired by Ann's farther a U.S. senator , to bodyguard Ann without her knowing is working as part of her crew .

Luckily for Ann, Ethan is with the crew because when it all goes south and the local drug lord has two members of her crew killed and her an Ethan almost blown sky high. received arc copy for review.

this is the second book I have read in this series, even though it is the third book in the series. I will read book one. lol

I enjoyed this book better because the bad guys was less obvious. Of course Ethan was a partially developed character from the previous book and by what I gather from book one also. when authors take the time to develop the characters throughout the series it makes it so much better.

If you are person who loves action suspense and romance then you will enjoy the book.

Secret Guardian was a huge disappointment. From the synopsis and the stellar reviews on Amazon I expected something totally different. Instead, after the first few pages, I found the characters and the situations to be totally unrealistic.
Less than 24 hours after leaving Rio chased by a bunch of bad guys and having discovered that Nathan is really Ethan and that she knows even less about him than she thought she knew before, Ann doesn't hesitate to jump naked into a pool and have sex with him - and unprotected sex, to boot. Yep, that's totally what I would expect from the smart woman we are supposed to believe she is. Not.
After that, all went downhill for me. The book became a sequence of sex scenes with several backgrounds, from a crate on a plane to a luxury house in Peru. And in just three or four days Ann knows she's in love with Ethan - a man she still knows next to nothing about. Yes, he's told her about his life and family, but then, a couple of days before she knew him by another name, which means that, from her perspective he should not be role model of honesty.
I admit the problem with this book may be all mine, since almost everyone else seems to have loved it, but to me, sadly, Secret Guardian just felt like a waste of a good plot idea.

I absolutely loved this story. I fell in love with the characters very early on. It was great. They were really well written throughout the whole story. Ethan and Ann are the main characters and they are people that I could relate to. I was sucked into the story from the beginning and I didn't want to put the book down once I started it, I couldn't. I needed to find out how they were going to get away from all of the people after them and who was after them. It might seem like it is cut and dried and why people are after them, but it's not. And you find that out pretty quickly that it's not clear but it definitely keeps you guessing on why and who for most of the book and then you have to guess. The storyline is great and it is very smooth. I never felt like it was rushed or that I was missing something that should have been mentioned. That doesn't mean that it didn't keep me guessing on what was going on, but it was in the right way. I didn't feel that there were any loose ends or anything that didn't mesh together. I loved the secondary characters that we got to meet too, the good ones of course lol. Things moved along at a really good pace. I would love to read more in this world that Jill has created. Absolutely amazing story.

Ethan was a top government weapon. But after a long career of working secret jobs, he decided he wanted to work for himself. Taking odd high profile security jobs here and there helps pay the bills and keeps his need for excitement at bay. That is until he takes another job from a senator, who he once saved the man’s son from kidnappers. Babysitting the senators daughter should be an easy enough job. That is, until he goes undercover and gets a look at the blond bombshell and bullets start to fly.

Ann can’t stand the new man assigned to video her crew. She’s been in the journalist business long enough to know when someone is full of themselves. And Ethan is so full of himself he can’t see straight enough to point the camera in the right direction. But, now she’s gotten in over her head in Brazil with her latest assignment, the only way that she could possibly escape is to trust the one man she thinks help put her in the line of danger.

Very fast paced, suspenseful book with a strong female lead. I really liked this book and couldn’t put the book down. The only problem that I had is something I’ve never had to deal with. The Kindle version of the book after 60% point would go completely blank for two pages and then go back to normal. When you’re reading a suspenseful book and you’re trying to figure out who the ultimate bad guy is that will infuriate you. Hopefully there’s just a glitch in the book I received. I would read this book again if I had it in paperback, probably won’t read it again in the Kindle version because of the blank pages. And trust me it always went blank at the best parts when you shut everything down and reboot just to see if you can get the pages that are blank. That’ll just about ruin a book for me. But aside from that it’s probably the most suspenseful romance novel I’ve read in a long time.

If you've read the other books in the series you already have a sense of the knowing some of the characters in the book and it helps you feel more engrossed in their world. Ethan is undercover keeping an eye on a senator's daughter who is a reporter. In Brazil things go terribly wrong and Ann finds herself trudging through the jungle with the aragant womanizing cameraman, but she quickly learns he was not who he appared to be. As the two try to escape South America and get back to America they find they have allot in common besides just lust.

The backstory here was my favorite so far out of the entire series. Ethan's military background and how he now goes around the world rescuing people. And Ann how she appared so shallow at first, really has the ability to see the truth in any situation and get through it.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book is part of a series but can definitely be read as a stand alone.

Ethan is undercover as a cameraman for journalist. Ann Rhodes, to keep her safe. They end up on the run while people are trying to kill them.

This was another really amazing book by Jill Sanders. I loved the other books in this series and this one didn't disappoint. I really love Ethan and Ann.

Action packed from the start and full of steamy interactions will have your heart pumping and your soul cheering the characters on. A strong female lead and an even stronger male lead will have you swooning while hoping they finally open up and tell each other how they feel before it's too late! I can't wait to see what happens next in this action-packed romance series! Nothing better than a good suspenseful romance to get your blood pumping!

I love these fast paced action packed books. Action starts out in Brazil and over a two month period things are blown up with harrowing treks through the jungle and dodging bullets. Ann is a journalist in Brazil on assignment. She has a new camera guy and thinks he’s nothing but an arrogant ladies man and she can’t wait to get him fired when they get back to the states. But she needs him for one last interview that she is hoping gets her a Pulitzer. The source claims he can expose how the government is tangled up in the drug business. Little does Ann know but it was a setup and soon her whole team is dead and her camera man isn’t a camera man after all. Ethan was hired by her father to keep her safe while she was in Rio. When a bomb goes off in their hotel Ethan has no choice but to finally admit who he is and go on the run with Ann through the jungle to keep her safe and one step ahead of the bad guys. As these two are running for their lives they give into their smoldering attraction for one another. There were many facets to this story. Ethan has a previous history with Ann’s family and he also runs his own security firm that he uses many of his old special forces buddies to help on ops. Then there is the mystery of who wants to make sure that Ann’s senator father doesn’t pass a bill and are trying to kidnap Ann to make sure he backs off. These are my favorite type of stories and the author does a fabulous job of entertaining you from the start.

**I received an ARC copy for my review**

After Ethan Night saves the son of a Congresman he is now hired by him to protect his daughter Ann without her knowledge, he needs to go undercover as her new cameramen Nathan Cruz a self absorbed, macho, chauvinist kinda guy.

Ann is a young journalist who is going to Brazil to cover the carnaval, but she can't stand her new cameramen, the guy seems to have no courtesy to be on time and also flirts more than once with all the females everyone except her. When she get's home she will have him fired, but first things first she needs to have a talk with Heitor, a large Brazilian man who had approached her. He started talking about the connections his boss has with a multiple drug lords or worse, this could be here ticket to earn her world recognition, and possibly even the Pulitzer.

After the interview everything got worse, her van was blown up and her two other co-workers got killed, Ethan knows he needs to get her away now and protect her from the drug cartel.

Will they survive the trip back home through the jungle of Brazil? Are they going to fall for each other?

I loved the story it had me in suspense till the last page!!!

I received a copy from the author for my honest review, so here it is. This story has what I like in a great story. It has an independent heroine, Ann is a journalist and Ethan is a sexy ex-special forces hero. While in Rio during Carnival searching for a story, Ann and Ethan find themselves running for their lives in the jungles of Brazil. Thinking once they get out of Brazil, then danger will be over, while in Lima Peru, Ethan realizes that Ann is still in danger and he has to get her home safe. Ethan uses his contacts the get the home by way of making a stop to introduce Ann to his family. They are both falling for the other but not sure how the other feels. Once back in Texas, Ann goes back to work all the while trying to not think of Ethan and Ethan is still looking out for Ann and can't keep his thought from wondering back to her. This is the second book for me by Jill Sanders and I loved it. Read it for yourself, it is a great story with some intrigue added in.

I received an ARC copy from the author. I must say I really enjoyed the book. Ann is a reporter and her father has hired Ethan to protect her. He is a former special ops guy and he had rescued her brother a few years ago. However Ann had not met him so she thinks he is just a new cameraman and a major pain In her ass. But when shot hits the fan and believe me it does Ethan takes over and the adventure begins. Together they race to stay ahead of the bad guys and end up in the jungle among other places. I really liked Ann because she is strong willed and not a whiny complainer. Ethan well he is just plain hot! I like the way Jill describes the scenery and her characters. Even hiding the identity of the man after Ann till the end of the book.

I read this as part of the Dangerous Attraction collection.

I'd never previously read this author, but I will admit that I plan to read her again in the future!
I believe I picked up book two in this series earlier today.

This was book three in a series. I didn't feel like I missed anything by not having read book one or two.
So I would definitely consider this to be a standalone.

I'd recommend this to anyone who likes romantic suspense/action. Not a lick of paranormal in this book, but guess what? I really didn't miss not having a werewolf or vampire! The yummy Ethan definitely made up for it.

This book will take you on a wild ride through the jungle in South America with a HOTT ex special forces bodyguard and a women who doesn't know she is the target in a plot to take out her father, who is a senator running for re-election.
This is a good weekend read if you want something light.
The biggest down fall with the story my be the relationship between Ethan and Ann. For me, I wanted more spark between them. There was something there, but I needed more.
Read it yourself and see if have you can handle a wild time in Rio.

I really enjoyed this book however, the jumping around was, at times, a little confusing. There were a few typos in the spelling as well. Even with all of that, I loved the book. I felt that the story line was really good. I could visualize the entire story. That is why I gave this book 4 stars. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

He's sent undercover to protect the senators daughter, she thinks he's an arrogant, self obsessed cameraman... When the building they're in and Ann's life is in danger, Ethan must get her to safety, between getting chased, jumping off cliffs and being shot at, they fall in love.. Yet another great book from Jill...
