Two hearts. One snowstorm. A second chance at love.

Penelope
Swirling snow may have stranded me at this tiny airport in the middle of nowhere on Christmas Eve, but it has nothing on the storm raging inside me when he walks into the terminal.

Artemis Warren.

My first love and the man who shattered my world.

I thought I locked my feelings for him safely away in the past, but one look is all it takes for me to drown in his icy blue eyes again.

So much time has passed.

I’m no longer that naïve teenager standing on a beach, wishing the boy would choose me.

Now, I’m hiding a secret that could unravel both our lives.

Artemis
The emergency landing in Nowheresville is more than an inconvenience.

It’s a disaster.

The annual family holiday party in NYC was my chance to make the statement I’ve been
dreaming of for so long.

Now, all my best laid plans will have to wait until I can get out of here and back to civilization.

Nothing can salvage this day.

Yet seeing Penelope Barnes again turns this bad situation into the opportunity of a lifetime.

Reuniting with the only woman I’ve ever loved would be the ultimate Christmas gift.

But how can I heal the old wounds and or fit into the new life she created?

When temperatures drop and snowflakes fly, can love find a way to weather the storm for the ultimate Christmas miracle?

Wow! I loved Holiday Terminal, what an amazing holiday read. It’s sweet, romantic, loving and swoon worthy. Penelope and Artemis were so good together, young love, a broken heart and nothing but time to move on. Penelope was crushed when she was left standing and waiting for Artemis to show up and when he didn’t her life needed to move forward. Years later being stranded in the airport can’t be the worst thing ever, right? Well that is until she sees the man who she loved and wrecked her whole world walk into the terminal. How can she still have all these pent up feelings for Artemis? Being stranded in the middle of nowhere is not what Artemis had planned, but when he sees Penelope, the only thing on his mind is winning back the girl he’s always loved. Will he be able to break down her walls and find a place for himself in her life? Will the secret Penelope holds close to the chest bring them together or tear them apart? No spoilers, this was an amazing read and I can’t wait for more. I received a copy of this book.

A very beautiful holiday read! I can tell this is the beginning of a great series and starting it with Penelope and Artemis was an amazing choice!

Artemis and Penelope’s story from start to finish had me anxious and excited for more! Their past and fate stepping in to bring them together after all these years was either going to be the best thing or lead to heartbreak once again! Penelope has no choice but to try and keep her heart guarded as she finds herself stuck at the airport with her past and the biggest secret she’s ever kept!

The Warren family seems to be the beginning of a great series and I can’t wait to see what these two authors have in store for this family!

“He’s the kind of guy you don’t get over. He’s the kind of guy who is the love of your life. You don’t move on from Artemis Warren. I knew it when I met him. I knew it every single minute I was with him and every painful second I tried to forget it.”

I started this book and I swear I didn’t move until I read the very last word. I swooned, I sobbed and I smiled, all while falling crazily in love with Artemis and Penelope. This was such a sweet, second chance romance, and I could honestly see it playing out in my mind like a Hallmark Christmas movie, one that I would watch over and over again.

Baby, it’s cold outside . . .

Next up in the Twelve Days of Christmas books-on-review list is a welcomed surprise package from a new-to-me writing duo. It’s a second chance at love with a twist – and one that usually doesn’t entice me. However, blended with this set of circumstances, setting and characters, I totally fell head, heart and soul into its appeal.

While spending a summer at the beach before starting college with his wealthy and high-profile parents, boy meets local small town girl, and they fall in love. It’s the usual tale of struggling love against the barriers of social classes a/k/a the haves and the have nots. When a lack of communication leads to misinterpretation, their summer love takes a nosedive and ends badly. The young couple part ways and, of course, boy loses girl.

Fast forward six years. Snowy conditions force two small planes to land at the same small airport that appears to be more in line with an old rundown gas station with one landing strip, and the passengers on the planes have no idea what destiny has in store for them when they land. In the midst of chaos, fate brings Artemis and Penelope face-to-face once again. With a long-held secret hiding in plain sight, the hard facts of life are zinging between them.

My basic problem with this story is the fact that Artemis and Penelope were 18 and 17, respectively, when they last saw each other. Now, at 24 years old, Art is a high-powered attorney and the CEO of his family’s world-wide business. Realistically, that timeline doesn’t give him enough time to put in 4 years earning an undergraduate degree and then an additional 3 years to obtain a law degree. And suddenly he’s responsible for one of the largest and most successful companies in the world – even though it’s his family’s company.

And Penelope, who at just 23, is now the assistant to one of the most successful musical producers in Nashville. I know from several personal sources that this just doesn’t happen. It takes years of experience to land a position such as described here – especially with top entertainment companies and their executives — unless you are personally related in some way or have a huge inside connection. And that’s not the case in Pen’s situation.

Age-wise and career-wise this seems a bit far-fetched and out of balance with real life. I like my characters and their characterizations to resemble real and believable, and this one left me straddling the fence. Without these exceptions, I would have been much happier, and might have rated this book with an additional star.

Notwithstanding the foregoing nit-pick, I enjoyed this semi-angsty, fairly sizzling relationship and the heartwarming inclusion of a small child at Christmas – especially one as bright and happy and willing to love unconditionally as little Max. Throw in a grandma who can’t help but play matchmaker, and it’s a perfect magical and joyous Christmas reunion. And I would be remiss if I forgot to mention Art’s older brother who is just begging for a book of his own.

No longer a boy, it’s Artemis, now a man, who steps forward to win back the love of the girl he’s always loved. Things heat up very fast in the tiny snow-covered airport. And yes, they will live happily-ever-after.

This book will captivate – so don’t hesitate – and don’t wait! An adorable, sweet and at times sizzling Christmas love story.

This was an amazing read that I read in one sitting I could not put it down. It moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters that you will fall in love with and want to know more about and a story that grabs you and keeps you until the very last page. This is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list no doubt about it.

Love love love love it. Although it has the feel of a Hallmark Christmas movie, it's still a perfect holiday read. This is now an automatic addition to my holiday reading list. I expect that I'll be reading it again before Christmas, and each year to come. I can't wait for further stories of the Warren family, do I really have to wait another year to get the next one?
Holiday Terminal is the perfect length for a quick holiday read.

Holiday Terminal sure is packed with feeling. There's a lot of angst as the two lovers reunite and find out things about each other, as well as the warmth and hope that the Christmas spirit seems to bring.

I definitely enjoyed this quick, Christmas read, and look forward to more in the series.

Such a great holiday read! Penelope and Artemis met as young lovers. After a broken heart, they went their own ways until fate intervened. While trying to get home, a snowstorm strands them at an airport. Read this book to find out what happens when they see each other for the first time since their heartbreak.

Make sure to get your copy of this holiday story. You will not be disappointed!!

I'm not a big fan of secret baby romances but this was done pretty well. Penn, her son and her mom had to make a detour because of a snow storm strands them, and they're stuck in a small airport in the middle of nowhere. Art had to also make that detour while he was headed home to make a big announcement. Art and Penelope had an amazing life changing summer years ago, but it ended with walking away from each other devastated and a secret baby. Years pass and they're here together.

While I was still reeling from the secret, I understood. Art and Penelope's big feelings for each other made me get over it. Artemis and Penn have so much history and a misunderstanding that split them up they missed so much of each others lives. While Art wants to take charge of his life apart from his demanding political/high society family, a second chance with the love of his life is also there. This was a frustrating but so damn adorable, sweet, steamy romance where fate and second chances are possible. Christmas can work in mysterious ways. A HUGE plus the cover is a scene in the book!!!

“ “Artemis Warren. Please head over to the office.” I freeze. No. The cup slips from my hand. The Styrofoam hits the ground, and scalding-hot liquid splashes against my bare legs. I hardly feel the burn. It can't be. Not here…...I scan the rest of the terminal. Maybe I misheard. It couldn’t be him. Fate wouldn’t toy with me like that. Right?”

“It was instant. Even as a teenager, barely out of high school, I knew I would love him. I knew it was something bigger than me. Bigger than him. Us. It was too big. Too powerful. Too damn much for a kid to think that way, feel that way. But I let it overtake me with every shy glance we shared. Every smile. Every touch. I knew it would be something epic. A fairy tale. One I would hold in my heart forever. And damn if I wasn’t right. I just never imagined it would come to such a catastrophic end.”

OMG! First of all, this book is sooooooo freaking goooood! It needs to be made into a movie so I can watch it over and over again, especially leading up to Christmas!!! I have already read it 3 times and will probably re-read it many more times in the next few weeks. I am a sucker for a great Christmas/holiday story- especially one that grabs you by the heart-strings. This one gave me all the emotional content that I love so much, tugging on my heart-strings, giving me that ‘feel-good’ experience at the end, where I sat back with a big smile on my face, because I am so happy to have this book in my life.
Holiday terminal by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is a wonderful holiday romance- with a massive snowstorm, a small airport in the middle of nowhere, a twist of fate, some drama, angst, push-pull, surprises, steam, emotion, and second chances. I am a huge fan of both these authors individually, and both are on my favourite authors list- so when they decide to collaborate on a book- I AM ALL IN!!! No questions asked. #TAKEMYMONEY #ONECLICK #WINNING
Now after reading this story, I am soooo impressed by what they have produced- but I really shouldn’t have been surprised- because DUH, it’s Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson- both such excellent authors- and I should have known that anything these two talented writers came up with would be brilliant. I was hooked right from the start- this story is my crack- totally addictive- and it’s one addiction this junkie is happy to feed.
The story takes place in a tiny airport terminal in the middle of nowhere, when a twist of fate throws two ex-lovers together in the snowstorm of the century. Past hurts are never far from the surface- but neither is their electrifying chemistry. But, with their past pain, miscommunication, and a big secret- will these two find their second chance, or will this twist of fate bring even more heartache.
I LOVED Art and Pen, so so so much! Thant’s not to say there weren’t a few moments where I wanted to shake them. Their miscommunication drove me crazy. And I found myself yelling a t them several times through the story. They are perfect for each other. I really can’t wait to read Archie’s story- I really NEED it STAT! Like yesterday!!!
So, what are you waiting for- seriously, if you love a fantastic holiday romance, an emotive- well written story, and wonderful characters- then this is definitely one book you won’t want to miss. And if this book is outside of your preferred reading, why not take a chance and dive in- you may be surprised by how much you like it too! There really is so much to love about this book!

Thank you, Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson!!!

I liked this but still wanted more. It had all the bones to a great story but it felt rushed. I wish it had been more fleshed out instead of an Insta -love rekindling. That being said, still a cute holiday story.

I have seen so many beautiful holiday reads plaster on media that I couldn’t resist start reading them before December. Holiday reads are full of fun, love, easy reads that gives you this happy feeling. I can’t describe it but always put me in a great mood. It most be the Christmas feeling.

This was my first ever read by either of this authors and I got to say that I love it. So well written and developed. It’s a story that hooks you. Holiday Terminal is a second chance romance. It’s like watching a great Hallmark Christmas movie on your head. I just LOVE IT.

The story of Artemis and Penelope gave me all the feels. I ache for them, swoon over them, even got teary eyes for the intensity of their emotional situation.

“𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢. 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙢𝙚. 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙄 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢. 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙢, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢, 𝙗𝙪𝙩…𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢.“

I started this book last night and couldn’t put it down. You can say I read it in one sit because I went to bed with my kindle in hand and wake up to finish the last 15% before I even had breakfast. I just needed to see then get their HEA.

So if your a lover of holiday reads to lift your spirits with a beautiful, sweet emotional story you definitely need to pick up Holiday Terminal.

Oh how I love me some second chance romance. This little quickie will make your heart race, swoon and love. Penelope and Artemis have a history and some undeniable chemistry. I did love this story and these characters right away. Stranded on Christmas Eve forces them to interact years after a summer of love. Will this Christmas Eve be magical or a disaster? Pick this potent little number up and find out!

2.5⭐️ Personally wasn’t a fan of the lying, miscommunication, and snap judgements. They didn’t actually resolve anything, they just quit talking about it and decided to move forward. It started off decent but I just got a bad taste in my mouth about it.

I hate writing bad reviews but eeeeek.

Holiday Terminal is a beautiful opening to the holiday season by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson. It is a Hallmark worthy second chances Christmas story that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy! I have read Gwyn McNamee writing before but it was my first encounter with Christy Anderson and I was not disappointed!
Holiday Terminal gives us the reunion of Artemis Warren and Penelope Barnes who are thrown together in the middle of Nowhere for Christmas and I am sure that at first neither of them really considered it to be a Christmas present but the fate has decided to step in and who are we mere mortals to fight against what is to happen … of course it should not be an easy ride so buckle in for a Christmas ride filled with Christmas spirit with a Christmas miracle peaking round the corner!

Sweet, sexy holiday second chances!

An unexpected snow storm grounds Penelope, her mom, and son in a tiny airport in Tennessee. The last person she expects to see walking into the terminal is her ex. And unknowing father of said son.

Art/Artie/Artemis finds himself forced to land in a small airport enroute to a family Christmas party in New York. He does not expect to see the woman who broke his heart six years before.

Sweet, steamy, touching, and a bit angsty. I love short fast reads crammed full of all the feels.

Floved it!! Cute kid, uncooperative Mother Nature, surprise encounter, passion, feels, all the things I love.

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This wasn't the best story. I actually loved it at first. The characters had chemistry and the setting of an airport terminal in a very small town at Christmas was great. My problem was that the ONLY obstacles to this couple were simply a matter of communication. I actually was fine with it at first. Their first misunderstanding happened six years ago, when they were young and were both going through a lot. I kind of got it. They eventually SOMEWHAT got through that, but THEN another stupid misunderstanding. And despite their history and everything they knew, they still refused to talk to each other. I just really hate it when the main obstacle to a book is two adults who refuse to talk to each other. So that made it just an average book for me.

Holiday Terminal allowed me to check off tons of boxes on my favorite types of books to read:
Christmas √
Second-Chance √
Secret Child √

I've been looking forward to Holiday Terminal for a while. And I wasn't disappointed. I loved the story of a young couple where one feels pulled away from a relationship because of family commitment, and yet never forgetting 'the one who got away'. I love a story where a single mom pulls herself up and finds a way to be successful while balancing life with a child.

I very much enjoyed Holiday Terminal. It was a quick-read and has gotten me into the holiday spirit!

This was the perfect holiday read. The only complaint I have is do we have to wait until next year for Archie’s book? These characters were perfect. Even with how wrong Penelope handled the situation when she was just a kid herself I wouldn’t blame her for acting the way she did. Artie is so close to perfect if it wasn’t for his family and who they are. This book is the book you want to curl up and read this holiday.

3.25 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I love second chance romance and this book takes place on Christmas Eve. It’s the perfect Christmas book. I didn’t care for the constant derogatory references to the airport’s location. Just because something is located in a rural area doesn’t mean it has to be looked down upon. It’s definitely one of the things that hurt my rating. It was completely unnecessary and made them both seem snooty. I also find it hard to see how an 18 year old is going to be an attorney in 6 years. I don’t see someone who is a Supreme Court justice grandsons going to fast track law school.

Overall I enjoyed the story although it could have been better. I’ll be watching for the second book to on sale or on Kindle Unlimited. It’s not something I would pay full price for. This book was purchased through BookBub for free on Amazon. It was good for free.

A sweet, warm, second chance romance is what we need on a cold winter night, and this book is that and more. The cover is beautiful.
The characters are lovable and the story has been written from the point of view of both of them. I loved Max and Pen’s mother as well.
This is the first book in the series and I am looking forward to reading the stories of Archimedes and Athena as well.
