Thanks to orcish editor Yeld's support, the knight Annelise has finally landed her first regular manga series. But between writer's block, her duties as a knight, and pirated copies (literally) growing on trees, Annelise's enemies are as formidable as ever in this oddly realistic "fantasy" manga documentary!
Our knight Annalise and orc Yeld’s manga business is getting in the right step as they struggle their way through fan feedback, writer’s block and piracy. B (75%/Good)
I was pleasantly surprised to see that this volume focused much more on the story & characters, & much less on repetitive sight gags & out-of-context partial nudity. I hope this keeps up. Art, very well done. Dialogue, very good. Characters, likeable & fun.
Just as a warning although the language is not to bad the abundance of near nudity and some near erotic moments in this series makes it rated 18+ (as I saw on the Kodansha website) so some people may find this book offensive and younger readers should not be given this book no matter how cartoonish it can be.
Once again we find ourselves in the world of manga as seen through denizens from a world of fantasy. With a female knight with a unique talent to explode out of her armor (and shrapnel miraculously shredding the clothes of those nearby) when she gets emotional and a cool headed and kind orc helping her succeed this is a collection of different short stories that shows the ups and downs of manga making while also providing enough fanservice even the least interested reader might find something of interest. All in all this series so far has been fairly ridiculous, a bit naughty, and a lot of fun with two out of the three volumes out of the way. :)
