Jameson Walker ha vivido muchos años sin encontrar a su pareja.
Está a punto de abandonar la
idea, convencido de que los compañeros son solo una noción romántica que sus padres le contaron cuando era niño.
Tal vez no había un alma perfectamente equilibrada en todos los sentidos para cada cambiaformas. Tal vez era hora de empezar a buscar una buena mujer con la que asentarse.
La idea le irritaba e inquietaba a su oso, arañando su interior cada vez que lo pensaba.
Entonces, una mujer que nunca había visto antes entra en su sala de urgencias, medio muerta y con
su vida pendiendo de un hilo.
Jameson sabe en el momento en que el olor de su sangre le llega a la nariz, que es la mujer destinada a llenar cada grieta de su alma, para añadir color a su existencia en blanco y negro.

Fácil lectura y libre de drama con un lindo HEA.
Los protagonistas principales estuvieron bien, o sea, eran buenos juntos con una vibra linda.
La escena de amor no fue fuerte, más bien ligera pero sin dejar de ser caliente. Ambos vírgenes. Él esperó por más de cincuenta años a su pareja, me gustó eso del héroe.
Me mató su encuentro, que él fuera él médico que justo la atiende cuando sufre el accidente. Era como destino justo ahí. Me encantó lo dulce, protector y posesivo que se puso Jameson a primeras.
También me gustó que la prota enfrentara a Jameson. Esa parte donde los primos la esconden fue divertida.
Desesperada por conocer al resto de los Walker!
Me hubiera gustado saber más sobre la historia de la lucha entre humanos y cambiaformas, se mencionó de pasada.
Me resultó raro que los humanos si tenían conocimiento de su existencia porqué parecían saber pico sobre ellos y sus costumbres.
Pero en general tuvo un buen comienzo de serie, fue una historia entretenida que llamó mí atención y tengo ganas de seguir leyendo sobre este mundo de osos de esta autora.
Ya quiero leer cómo conocerán a sus compañeras el resto de la manada Walker!

Great introduction to a new series! Jameson and Lillian meet under horrific circumstances. Their road is a bit rocky to their HEA. A little different take on how this shifter world works. Completely safe. I can’t wait for more stories!

this was my first shifter romance, and i think is not gonna be the last.
if you like the 'fated mates' trope, this is the book for you! the moment he sees her he knows she's the one, and i love that.
is also an easy read, perfect if you're feeling a reading slump

Jameson is book 1 in the brand new shifter series! Anyone who knows me knows that shifters are my absolute favorite troupe. Especially bear shifters! And I'm extremely picky on the shifter authors that I will read. This one did not disappoint! Elisa does an awesome job writing shifters. A must read!
Dr. Jameson Walker is a bear shifters searching for his mate, he found her in the very last place and in the worst shape he could ever imagine! Lillian was brought into the ER by ambulance bleeding and half dead. Can Jameson save his mate or is he doomed to spend his life alone knowing he couldn't save her? Psht this is an ELISA LEIGH book and you know she ALWAYS gives us a happily ever after! Now just because they get their happily ever after doesn't mean that it didn't take some work to get there. I loved how strong and stubborn Lilly was. I also really proud of her for not just forgiving Jameson when he was acting like a possessive bear with a sore head. She really made him work for it. I also liked that they waited to jump into bed together. Well for something other than actual sleep. I loved how well she fit in with his family. I can't wait to see what comes next for these growly alpha shifters!!
This story is 100% safe from any kind of abuse, cheating and om/ow drama. Dual virgins

This story has all the steam, funny moments, passion, awesome characters, both main and secondary ones, which i hope we get their story soon too! Jameson and Lillian were two souls meant to be and it was awesome that they finally found one another and got to live their happily ever after as beautifully as they did <3 <3

I absolutely loved this shifter book and cannot wait for the others!! Jameson has been waiting for his mate to show up and when she finally does, she’s knocking on deaths door!!! Can he save her before it’s too late or will he had waited all this time for her to be taken away?? Of course he saves her!!! ☺️

This was a fast paced insta love fated mates novella. I blew through this on my lunch break and have already downloaded the second book in the series. I hope the rest of the books are just like this one.

No Meek Female Will Be Found In This Book!
Elisa is the author that introduced me to shifters and I'm SO glad she's giving us another shifter series.
I of course loved Jameson for all the usual reasons: big, buff and muscled hunk who just so happens to also be a successful doctor. Throw in there his growly possessive Alpha behavior and yup swoon worthy book boyfriend.
But for me there are two things that stole the show in this book; the first being Lillian. She was no pushover woman willing to accept "your my mate", oh no, she made Jameson work for it and maybe even had him give chase. But she was also open minded and did listen and accept. She was a total bada** and full of sass, my kind of leading lady.
My 2nd show stealer in the book was the "party" scene. I loved the dynamic between Lillian and Jameson's brother and cousins. It was a really fun, light scene in the midst of a tense time between Lillian and Jameson. It also served as a great way to introduce us to the guys and got me at least excited for the rest of the series.
Thanks for the sprinkles of sass and humor throughout the book Elisa, it was so much fun! 💜🐻💙

Oh yeah! Shifter Romance yeah!
First of all, let me tell you that I consumed this book in under 30 minutes and then I got sad because I realized I have to wait for book two now. Jameson and Lillian are fated mates and they had that pull towards each other that all great shifter books have while also being each others one and only even with their age difference. Not only were our H and h devoted to each other, but they also butted heads and there was a great dynamic between Lillian and Jameson's extended family that I really enjoyed. I need book two already! This was a great shifter romance and I really enjoyed the writing in this book. MUST READ!

Jameson es un médico de urgencias pero también es un cambiaformas. Él, su hermano y un par de sus primos se han mudado a este nuevo pueblo en busca de algo que les han hablado toda su vida: su compañera destinada. Pero tanto tiempo que llevan buscando y todavia no ha aparecido. Hasta que llega una mujer herida casi de muerte a urgencias y Jameson se da cuenta de que es su compañera! Ahora solo tiene que conseguir que viva lo suficiente para convencerla de que son perfectos juntos.
Es una historia cortita y dulce de cambiaformas que encuentran en una humana a su compañera de vida. En este caso el comienzo es un poco difícil porque ella está al borde de la muerte pero no os preocupéis que esto tiene final muy muy feliz. Obviamente él es un posesivo alfa de manada así que nada de drama porque él no dejará que pase!

He has to do everything in his power to save her. She is his mate and now that he found her he would not survive without her. There is a bit of a misunderstanding but it gets cleared up quickly. Loved the bond these two have together. Its a quick read with insta-love.

But earlier, after they'd kissed, he thinks how it was the hottest first kiss of his life, which implies there have been others.

Jameson and Lilys story was so amazing and I just fell in love with them since the very beginning. He's been waiting for his mate for a long time and when he finally finds her, hes so protective of her. A great story and start to this series and I truly can not wait for the others.

Awesome
Any genre Elisa writes is great. From curvy women to MC, and now shifters. This New Hope pack is funny and I can't wait to get more involved in their stories. Jameson the Alpha is a doctor, when Lillian is brought in by ambulance he knows he will have to do everything to save his mate or he will loose her before they even become mates.

Jameson has been searching for his mate for most of his life. When Lillian unexpectedly crashes into his life her survival is literally in his hands. This shifter novella was an entertaining quick read. I devoured it in one sitting. All the characters were dynamic and engaging. I look forward to reading the next book in this incredible series.

What a great start to what I'm sure is going to be an amazing shifter series. Great storyline, very original in the way the h/H meet. Dual virgins, dual POV, no cheating or abuse, shifter insta-everything. Can't wait to read about the others.

Elisa you are such a fantastic writer! This book shows it. I loved every single second of this book. Jameson and Lillian were such an amazing couple and I loved their dynamic. Wow a great start of a new shifter series. Fated mates.... there is nothing better... double virgins. FREAKING loved it. A possessive bear shifter and a shy woman that needs the support and love of an awesome guy. Insta love, HEA and a romantic lovestory .Can't wait for Jacksons story.😍😍😍

Full of cliches but the shifter lore was okay. Lily was kind of one note (she was a virginal preschool teacher with no back bone). Jameson was an alpha-hole. I liked Remmington.

Liked this shifter story...
This was a good book I read it before writing this review, and am leaving this after I saw the second and third books were published... I'd seen the second book had come out a while back, but didn't read it right away, once I read the summary of the third book, wanting to read it, but not remembering why I hadn't immediately read the second, I thought a quick refresher would help, an I'm glad I did re read this.
Here's why; I think I passed on reading the second right away because it came out going at from the first for me to remember the good reasons why I'd want to continue with these characters and their series( I might have skipped over book 2 after reading its summery thinking I wasn't interested just get for a non fluff easy shifter story because I knew I def read book 1, and while thinking on what I recalled that story being, I think I confused it with a different story from another series, cause now that I've re red this fist book, I'm excited to read the next two and more so that I don't have to wait...)
Part of what make this a 4 ( almost 5) star book is the promise it ends with for the continuation for more in their story along with elements that were different in a shorter shifter "easy" /low drama read, but allowed for growth and depth to be added or built on later. I'm going to read book 2 and 3 and than I'd like to come back and edit/continue this review after. ( but I want to confirm my thinkings of why this book was great because of things it's layer out in this book as a foundation, things I can list and will later when I'm sure) tbc...
For now: easy shifter read

So good
I'm loving this genre of paranormal romance and shifters and I just love Elisa Leigh writing style it keeps you turning page after page and I find that this genre is becoming more appealing to me the more I read. This story in particular I really enjoyed Jameson is a grizzly bear shifter and also a Dr at the local hospital. He and his brother and cousins have been searching for their mates for a very long time. One night while Jameson was working in the ER a traumor victim was brought in covered in blood and almost dying Jameson nearly lost control when he suddenly realised that she was his mate. Taking obession to a whole new level Jameson stayed by her side for days and when it was time to leave the hospital he took her home .
Lillian woke from her injuries to see a mountain of a man sitting by her bed holding her hand she was surprised to say the least but for some explicable reason she wasn't afraid in actual fact she felt safe for the first time in her entire life. Over the days she was in hospital they grew closer and when it was time to leave Jameson took her home . He knew he had to explain to Lillian about who he was and what she was to him but he was afraid he'd scare her away. Until one eventful walk in the afternoon and Lillian was shocked to see exactly what Jameson real was. This is a short read with a happily ever after and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series

Jameson is book one in the ‘’new hope shifters’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Jameson is a bear shifter and a doctor. After years of longing to find his mate, Jameson and some of his family move to a new town. A year after arriving in the new town, Jameson finally finds his mate. After getting into a car accident, Lillian is in hospital. She is a little confused about the hot doctor not leaving her side but she feels a connection. The question is; will Lillian run when she learns Jameson’s secret?
The chemistry between Jameson and Lillian is clear to see and I loved them as a couple. They’re cute together. I loved seeing Jameson with his newfound mate.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
