Stealth Ops #6

Chasing the Knight

Rate this book
She's the admiral's daughter . . . and the one woman bad-boy Wyatt Pierson can't resist.

When Wyatt left England, he said goodbye to his privileged upbringing and forged his own path. After years of running operations for an elite unit of Navy SEALs, he's satisfied with his mission-focused life until a messy entanglement walks through the door.

Natasha Chandler doesn't exist--and that's the way she likes it. Total dedication to her cover is precisely what makes her a great CIA officer. The career she loves exacts a heavy price, though: family, identity, relationships. But while chasing one of the most wanted criminals in the world, the rugged and sexy Teamguy she can't seem to forget walks back into her life and has her questioning everything.

Working together to hunt down an elusive cyber-terrorist, Wyatt and Natasha are forced to face their past, expose their secrets, and survive the explosive chemistry mounting between them. And when a young woman connected to Wyatt winds up in the crosshairs of the hacker's deadly game, he and Natasha must protect her and others from falling victim to the next attack.

Will the obsession for justice cost them their chance to be together--or will they get their shot at love?

Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.

It wasn’t until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students’ advice and begin to write again.

In 2015, she published her first novel, The Safe Bet. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.

This is my second book by Miss Sahin. Unfortunately, I still do not like it. The pace, the characters, the secondary characters are not working for me.

Well.... moving on

TEASER:

Teaser-

“You feel good,” she whispered. “But also dangerous.” Her lip quivered as if fighting emotions again, and it shredded him all the way to his core. “Apparently, I enjoy safety but also living dangerously. The CIA hires walking contradictions, and I’m that girl.”

“Do I scare you?” 𝐵𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝐼 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑.

“The way you make me feel does, but you also make me feel safe.” Her eyeliner from the night before was slightly smudged beneath her eyes, and when her long lashes lifted, her green irises shone with unshed tears. “I know I’m making absolutely no sense.”

She was wrong.
She made perfect sense to him.
Because he felt the same.

She was the sun he never knew he craved, and yet, he kept clinging to the familiarity of the rain.

Wyatt Pierson doesn't let people in, he keeps his personal life quiet and isn't looking for anything more. He keeps his mind on the missions he's assigned to, leaving his past in the past and keeping everything else as no strings attached. Natasha Chandler threatens those carefully laid plans though. She may keep her life as off the books as she can, but their first meeting a few years prior gave them both an unforgettable memory and a desire for more. When their missions tangle together the two must learn to trust as they have to reveal their secrets and rely on one another to stop a dangerous hacker from completing more deadly attacks. Like all missions though, distractions can make it all the more treacherous.

"'I know our target,' he said once Jessica and Luke were out of earshot. 'Hell,' he added. 'I've even kissed her.'"

Fast-paced, romantic, and packed with suspense, Chasing the Knight is another successful installment in Brittney Sahin's expanding Stealth Ops world. Chasing the Knight is the kick off novel for the Echo Team series, following Wyatt Pierson as he plays a literal game of chess. It's one clever book title, for sure. A power-hungry hacker makes people his pawns and takes members of Echo Team all over the world as they do their best to both play the game and figure out just who is behind the attacks. I was so excited for Wyatt's story, we've only had glimpses of Echo Team in action alongside the Bravo guys, so this was a nice change of pace. On top of that, the suspense and story line in this one is very different. The hacking plot, the truth of who Wyatt really is, his attraction to a top CIA agent? It all makes Chasing the Knight really stand out. I also loved Natasha, she's in the action right alongside the team, stubborn to a fault and not afraid of anything. Together they make a cute couple and a really great team, even when they're busy denying their attraction.

"It was like he'd painted her with infrared, and she was all he could see in his scope."

With incredible attention to detail, a unique plot, and a standout cast of characters, Brittney Sahin has once again crafted an unforgettable romantic military fiction.

Brittney strikes again with Chasing the Knight. Action packed excitement, romance, danger, suspense, family drama, hot men, and sexy. It's a game of cat and mouse where the villain is always 3 steps ahead. A high voltage entertainment! I can't put it down!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I received an early copy of this book for review and I have to say this is one of Brittany’s best books yet I couldn’t put it down it has everything hero’s, intrigue and an amazing love story. Don’t want to say too much as I hate spoilers all I can say is you want to read this. It also sets up good introductions for her new series next year. Reading this book you honestly believe this could be marketed for a television show it’s that good 😊

I originally discovered Brittney Sahin’s books through my Kindle Unlimited membership. I have been addicted to her books ever since! If she ever stops writing not sure what I will do. This book honestly has to be the best one so far and I love all of them. It was suspenseful and kept me on my toes. I couldn’t put it down and how to know what has going to happen yet.

Received as an ARC.

I received an ARC of this novel for an honest review.

I have been a part of Brittney's ARC team for a little while now and I always squeal when I see a new book is coming out. I legit had a small dance party when I saw the ARC for this loaded on my kindle. The Stealth Ops Novels are among my very favorite reads and I can't pinpoint an exact one that would top the list because they ALL are so amazingly unique that I just can't choose one. I won't and no one can make me. I won't do it.

Chasing the Knight brings Echo team to the front of the action and I can't even say that I am upset about that. I love Bravo team but I've been anxiously awaiting for more on Echo. The first official book for the Echo team, but the 6th book in the series, focuses on Wyatt (also known as Echo 1) and Natasha.

This review is spoiler free so don't get your hopes up too high by reading this, because I won't give anything away. Let me just say that if you've read Brittney's other works, you know how she operates and she hit the nail on the head yet again with this book. All the things you've come to love about this series continue as she goes into the world of Echo team. Guys, I needed a glass of ice water to cool off after reading some of these scenes. Just plain HOT! And those scenes don't take away from the rest of the book. They are perfectly placed so that you are still on the edge of your seat, drinking a glass of ice water, hoping and praying it all works out the way it is supposed to. This thrill ride will give you all of that and more!

Wyatt and Natasha' story is a wild ride that will keep you guessing. The writing is done with such finesse and attention to detail that you can't help but feel as though you are right there with them, in the action, hearing their inner thoughts, and falling in love right along beside them. It's a movie in your head that you can't stop watching, and when the credits are rolling and all is said and done, you want to hit rewind and do it all over again.

Seriously. If you haven't read any of the Stealth Ops novels, I don't know what you're waiting for... but do yourself a favor and head on over to Amazon and grab Finding His Mark and dive into the world of Bravo team! You'll be so glad you did!

Can I just take a moment and appreciate everything that Brittney does when setting up these books? Seriously. She does so much. I have 3 copies of this book on my Kindle because she tirelessly works even after they've gone out to her ARC team and continues editing. Not only that, but she has muses that she assigns to her characters. Pinterest boards dedicated to each and every book. These muses help me visualize everything happening as if it is a movie playing in my head as I read.

If I could, I'd give so many more than 5 stars for this thrilling, on the edge, military romance that will have you swooning in no time at all. I can't wait to read the rest of Echo teams stories!

Just when you think that Brittney can’t top herself, she goes and does it again, this time, she knocks it out of the park!
The men of BRAVO had better watch out for their competition, because ECHO is going to bring it! Is it possible to have Liam Evans (Finding Her Chance) to scoot over and share the number one place in my heart? Yes, so scoot over Liam and let Wyatt take that seat, because I want to tell you a story about the “Lord” of ECHO!
Wyatt Pierson (ECHO One) has always lived just a little apart of his fellow brothers, he’s always held a little of himself back. The mystery of his background shadows his life and keeps you wondering what his story really is and what he has been through. We’ve followed him on Ops in several countries and we know that know that his leadership skills are exemplary, and we know that his marksmanship is phenomenal, but what we didn’t know was that he believes himself unlovable.
Newly recruited CIA Officer, Nastasha Chandler attends the wedding of her ex-fiancé and has a chance encounter with none other than favorite SEAL, Wyatt Pierson. Every couple of years or so, these two have more encounters, and this girl, knocks him off his game. When the last encounter slams the two of them together, you know that it will finally be explosive!
Through twists and turns, Wyatt and Natasha chase their adversary to the final End Game. Brittney weaves us a tapestry of espionage, love, family, patriotism, honor, and undying friendship. Get ready to take this epic ride that will roller coast you all over the world and thru the chambers of your heart as you fall in love with Wyatt and Natasha.
I received an advance reader’s copy of Chasing The Knight, thank you Brittney for this wonderful opportunity.

Totally love Wyatt, not in favor of Natasha until later in the story (not sure why, just can’t put my finger on my lack of interest). Wyatt seemed to be a hero in each scenario and loved his team and country beyond measure. This woman seemed to get herself into loads of trouble all while attempting to solve a long time mystery. Finally when they begin to work together for the greater good she becomes more acceptable to me. They then begin to share work history, personal history until they realize they can’t solve the problem without the others help. She becomes more human to me when he goes through a personal struggle and he is able to learn to lean on her and the rest of his team to make it through.
Nice mix of suspense, comedy and real feelings, very powerful feelings.
Thank you Brittney for another wonderful story.

This was an absolutely fantastic read. Tash and Wyatt are so good together. From the first page you are hooked and just have to find out how their story end. All the elements of a great read are there, romance, intrigue, danger and love. The entire series is great, but this was my favourite so far just loved it!

Wyatt and Natasha’s story is written with flawless perfection. Their world is delivered in vivid words that allows the imagination to not only envision their fears and feelings, but their inner most thoughts.  You’ll be thrust into a world of secrecy, current headlines, and deadly revenge. But it’s a journey you’ll never forget.

Wyatt and Natasha have had multiple encounters throughout the years. Their bond of exes increase attention and attraction. Timing was never on their side. She was busy chasing her nemesis and he was busy saving the world. Neither forgetting how it felt to be wrapped in each other’s arms. When work makes them partners, personal feelings prevail.  But Wyatt knows he’s incapable of love.  Natasha is to busy to feel.

Secrets force Wyatt to take a look at life and possibly at Natasha.  But can giving into their needs and wants be a risk worth taking or is it a mistake in the making.  Wyatt may be forced to make choices that are impossible and deadly.

Our Echo Team delivers a story in today’s headlines. Bravo offers up services as well. Teammates and family keep our hearts and reading desires fed with this story.

Love Wyatt and Natasha!!! Their acceptance of each other as the “bad asses” they both are. Love the way she calms him and he gives her strength. Wyatts emotional growth is great to see. Also great to catch up with the entire family. The love story as well as the mission we’re well developed and meshed well together.

I'd give this 10 stars if I could!

Wyatt and Natasha are two sides of the same coin! Difficult childhoods, life changing decisions when they became adults, past regrets, and ex's that brought them together. They fight bad guys, and one really bad one has them working together, but they work on more than just finding the enemy. Twists, turns, surprises, family and friends, and love will keep you up all night, and leave you sated and looking toward to the next story!! Britteny Sahin just keeps us wanting more!!

Based on the steamy snippets Brittany released from this book earlier this month, I knew the romance between Wyatt and Natasha would be steamy, captivating, and everything you know a romance would be with one of the men from the Bravo & Echo team. I loved the romance, mystery, suspense, and twists that are in this book. I had a hard time putting this book down because I had to know what happened next. It shows how the Echo team operates as a team and with member of the Bravo team as well. I love how the characters are intertwined in each of the books in this series so we can keep tabs on everyone. The feeling of brotherhood/family between the guys and their loved ones was strong to me in this book and I absolute loved that. I am so ready for the next book to see what is in store for A.J. and the rest of the team!!! June can’t get here soon enough!!!

I received this an ARC. Brittney has done it, yet again! What a fantastic read; I couldn’t put it down! Smart, sexy, funny, action & suspense this book has it all! Chasing the Knight. The characters Wyatt & Natasha were easy to fall in love with as well as past characters from the previous series. Looking forward to Echo Team #2.

Hello ECHO TEAM!!! I mean, if you are going to continue a series, people this is the way to do it! There is so much action going on. Plus, the web of suspense that Brittney Sahin built for us was an intense one. One-Click.

Brittney Sahin drops us right back off into the action with the first book of Stealth Ops: Echo Team #1. We hit the ground running and do not get to catch slow down or catch our breath until the very last page of this book.

Meat and potatoes here. No skimpin' on the good stuff. We are sucked right into the world of cyber lies and a web of lies to filter through right along with Wyatt and Natasha.

CIA agent Natasha Chandler did not want to fall for the handsome teamguy. But fate had other things planned for her and Wyatt. She is witty, intense, strong-willed, and knows what she wants.

Wyatt may have been raised with privilege, but that life is long behind him. He has devoted his life to his team and country. Falling to a saucy CIA agent was not in the plan.

This book has so many twists and turns that you cannot help but flip those pages and consume yourself into this book. You will fall for Wyatt, Natasha and the entire team. That is what I love about this series. You love all the characters and always want and need more from them.

Just when you think you have this book figured out, I bet Brittney throws you another curveball.

This was such a great suspense ride!! You can picture each scene and feel as though you are riding out the action right there with ECHO TEAM.

" Find a lady that makes you feel like sunshine after a rainy day. "

If you read some of my previous you already know how much I love all Brittany’s books. I always had a soft spot for her Stealth Op series.

I’ve patiently waiting for Echo Team to have their story and now that it’s finally there I want more!

We begin with Wyatt’s story, a man who believe he’s incapable of love. Just as the other men in the Bravo and Echo Team, he’s dedicated to his job. His need to protect and defend others is strong and fierce. It’s part of his blood and who he is 100%.

Natasha is a CIA agent who’s determined to end a case after 8 long years! She is focused, determined and smart.

How these two meets and get to know each other is particular and I was immediately on board.
Their story spread out for many years and this was perfect to get to know them and see their attraction grow each time they meet.

"I want to do something different, but I honestly don’t know how.”
"What is it?” she whispered,
"Make love. I want to make love to you."

As usual Brittney has written an exceptional story, you won’t take a breath while reading it!! If Netflix is looking for a new tv show to produce I swear I’ll suggest this one because all I want to do is see all these wonderful men and women comes to live.
In the meantime, I’ll be re-reading her books.

~ I voluntary read a copy provided by the author ~

I received Chasing The Knight ARC .. if you have read any of Brittneys other books especially from the Stealth Op series you HAVE to read chasing the night!! .. The friendships you know and love from all the other books continues in chasing the knight. I absolutely LOVE how all the guys can poke fun and joke around but know without a single doubt any one of them would do anything for one another .. even for people they care about .. the build up of Wyatts and Natashas romance is phenomenal .. I love how it’s not just a classic meet and that’s it .. no there are obstacles and time and so much in their way ... I hated to see it end .. I could have kept reading about Wyatt and Natasha for days or weeks!! 100% recommend reading!! I’ve read everting Brittney Sahin has published and I am sooo grateful that I did!

Brittney has done it again! I have read all off her books so far and I love that they always draw me in and leave me wanting MORE!

Wyatt and Natasha’s story kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next! I love that she gives us the perfect amount of bad assery (I just made that a word lol), sexiness, and silliness; but of course with that we do have a little sadness. Perfect mix of emotions within this book.. I also like that I get to get glimpses of his other teammates whom I have already read about. Their story doesn’t just stop with their book because we get to hear about them in other stories.

I can not WAIT for Brittney’s next book in the Echo Series which will be about A.J., I have a feeling I am going to get a few belly laughs out of that one! If you have been living under a rock and haven’t read any of the Stealth Ops books than your missing out and you need to get to it!! (: The first book in the series is Finding His Mark with Luke (Bravo One) and Eva.

What have I been missing? So I admit I'm just now discovering Brittney Sahin, but Wowza I should have dove in before now. However, consolation incoming, I have a whole slew of books to read and loads of new book friends to discover. I first came across this author when I read the blurb for The Safe Bet. I read it pretty much because the action was in Charlotte, NC, and I work and live there, so I wanted to see what happened. Loved it! I've read a couple of others, but I had not ventured into the Stealth Ops series until now.

I could not put this book down! Talk about wanting to know what happens next. Between the slow burn between Wyatt and Natasha (we're talking years here), and the building suspense surrounding The Knight, I pretty much haven't gotten anything done in a couple of days. First, Wyatt has a British accent, and well, he was a winner off the bat. Natasha is no shy and retiring violet. She's got her tough girl cred, and she doesn't need a man to take care of her. She's not belligerent or angry; she's confident. And that makes her unforgettable to Wyatt. Wyatt, however, has his notions about himself that only time and circumstance can alter. Situations bring the two of them together, and we get to see what happens. Add in a few added twists including a cyber bad-guy, a hackers convention, multi-national secret spy organizations, and the arrival of unplanned for family, and we have a page-turning good time.

I have to say I am so looking forward to getting to know all the characters I got to meet in this book. As I was reading, I saw other characters from previous books in the series. One of the things I love about reading a series is cross-overs, and I can tell by reading this, there was a lot of cross-over going on. All these unknown stories make the anticipation of how I now get to learn about them too so much better. Meshing all these characters together with the camaraderie between the Bravo and Echo teams, dialogue that makes you laugh, and just the right amount of steamy romance makes this into a book you need to read. Now. Get it now. Trust me.

This is only the beginning for the Echo Team of Stealth Ops and it is so good! If this book is any indication, we will be seeing more of the characters from Bravo Team as well. Wyatt and Natasha met on the evening of the wedding of his ex-wife and her ex-fiancé. The chemistry was off the charts hot, until Luke showed up. Their story is hit and miss for several years before they end up in the same place for more than a day. It’s then they find out how much they need each other and how they can count on each other.

Wow

Wow...This is the first book in the Echo Team series and Brittney knocked it out the park with this one. Wyatt and Natasha meet when there exes get married but timing was never on there side because something always comes up with there careers. Natasha works for the CIA and Wyatt works undercover for Scott & Scott. We come to know and love the guys from the Bravo and Echo teams and the proof of that is in this book. Natasha and Wyatt are teamed up to take down a cyber terrorist that goes by the name "The Knight" and its a game of cat and mouse with locating him and taking him down. But timing is always an issue for these two when it comes to having a relationship and the walls that Wyatt has built around his heart because he has been hurt in the past. The banter between these two is great, chemistry is off the charts because they can't seem to keep there hands off of each other. Pick up this book to see what happens and you wont' be disappointed.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! Another amazing book by Brittney Sahin. I dont know how she does it time and time again! This was a constant page turner that I could not put down. Wyatt and Natasha's attraction and passion for each other was contagious and pulled you in from beginning to end! Never forgetting each other as they put their jobs and their country first over the years! Their chemistry work related as they took down the bad guy and personal was off the charts! Throw in Gwen and her story and all the men and woman from bravo and echo teams made this another amazing book! Can not wait for more!! Congratulations Brittney! Keep up the amazing writing!! I have read every single book Brittney has written if you haven't I would highly recommend you do, she never disappoints!!
