"Awe and immersion that only the best epic fantasy can inspire." -Gregory D. Little, author of the Unwilling Souls series

Kenton and his people have sacrificed everything to collect the godstones, the only power that can hold back the onslaught of the tyrannical nation of Sevairn as it expands across the Five Lands. With the forces of deity in their hands, the godbearers are ready to begin their fight against Diamis, dictator of Sevairn and powerful blood mage.

But Diamis is in the process of recovering his most powerful weapon—his daughter Daniella, created by dark magics and unimaginable cruelty—who he seeks to bring back under his control. The hell Daniella is about to unwittingly rain down on the whole of the Five Lands may rival the damage done by Diamis himself.

Broken and battered as they are, Kenton and the godbearers have known all along that their quest to win back their homelands would take them into the stronghold of the dictator.

Daniella has been their beloved friend, their powerful ally—

But if she falls into the hands of the enemy, she may be their ultimate destruction.

If you thought books 1 & 2 were good (they are), this finale to the trilogy is in another league. There is so much going on, danger at every turn, with the possibility of complete failure constantly looming, our heroes stagger from one disaster to the next, and never look like they will prevail , or even live! Much excitement, with an excellent conclusion. You are kept guessing right up to the end, take nothing for granted.

This book was a strong conclusion to the series, and masterfully wove together a satisfying, thrilling ending for each of the many viewpoint characters. I really liked how problems and misunderstandings that often take characters an entire book to resolve were resolved quickly, because the characters actually talked to each other, which gave more space for them to go through other challenges together with higher stakes.

So, normally if I enjoy a series I take it slow unless something special comes along. The Five Lands Saga is something special for me. I started "Godfire" mid-april 2022 and now I have finished the final book of the trilogy a couple of days before May 2022. This series grabbed my attention and would not let me go until it was done and I loved the experience. If you liked the first two you will love this one.

Great Conclusion!

The third and final book in the Five Lands series is a great one! The story line held true. The characters so well developed. The books that I couldn’t put down from the first all the way thru to the last. Amazing

The characters have literal plot armor. Their success was foretold and no matter how daunting the task they always seem to succeed with minimal (sorta) loss. It’s always too convenient how they’re plans work out

I enjoyed the Five Lands Saga immensely, and the final book delivered well. It is a satisfying ending to an excellent modern epic fantasy series.
