Stranded on an alien planet with a cyborg warrior…
All I wanted to do was find my missing best friend. I never planned on getting kidnapped by aliens.

These ugly brutes claim I’m meant to be some sort of tribute bride, but there’s no way I’m letting that happen. Unfortunately, my escape attempt ends with me crashing onto a planet called Kalix.

Alone in the dangerous wilderness, my only hope of survival may be a darkly handsome alien with bronze skin, horns, and penetrating eyes.

He seems to want to help me. Hell, he seems to want to do a lot more than that to me. But I’ve been burned enough times back on Earth that trust doesn’t come easily…

Especially when I find out that my alien protector is harboring some dark secrets of his own.

Broken is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge… horns, a tough-as-nails heroine, and a banished prince with a dark past.

If you like sexy aliens, sweeping adventure, and steamy romance, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Note: each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended that the series be read in order.

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

Jade and Brele - Jade is on Earth and determined to find her friend Emma who disappeared and while looking into Jade’s disappearance, she ends up being taken captive by the Orkun warriors, similar to how Emma and the other women were abducted. She is taken as tribute to the Orkun Warlord Alkul and she fights since she is a champion MMA fighter. She is taken with Alkul on a fighter ship to a place Kalix where a war is being fought. At one point her cage opens, which leads to her attacking Alkul and the ship crashes on Kalix. She is lost in the forest on an alien planet when Brele finds her.

Brele is a cyborg and a warrior. He has been living in the forest for the past fifteen years. He was banished for being a traitor to his people after the enemy took control of his mind, leaving him unable to do anything to stop the betrayal, though his mind was still aware of everything that went on and he was unable to do anything to stop what happened. It was all made worse since he was the first born prince and heir, he would have been ruler if things were different.

Like the other books, this was narrated by C.J. Grey and Meg Price. I liked C.J. quite a bit and Meg was Ok, but I couldn’t always hear her clearly. I listened via my Alexa speaker while doing my nails and cleaning, so maybe that doesn’t come in as clearly as with my EarPods or on my iPad directly. Though I could hear C.J. fine, so there is that.

I liked the story in this one better than the last book. That one took place in the city, at the palace while this one was more of a journey, starting on Earth, then the spaceship, then Kalix. I also liked that Jade wasn’t one of the original human women who were abducted but had her own abduction story.

Ohhhhhhh, this one was a non con in the first scene. Wooot! =] It's all sweet and tender though. haha This book definitely gave me Ice Planet Barbarian vibes. Jade is a brunette beauty with an attitude and she is on the search for her missing friend.

Definitely my favorite of this series so far. I'm a sucker for the "hot wild man in the woods" trope, and I really liked Jade's character.

Series Overview: This is a cracky kind of SFR where the heroes are all horned, loincloth-wearing and ribbed for her pleasure. The insta-love doesn't bypass the issue of consent and the couples usually have lots and lots o'sex on the road to an HEA. The stories hit many of the familiar tropes and there's a comfort in that. My issues are that Ms. Hall tends to over-explain - why describe a scene with one paragraph when you can use three? That type of thing. It worked in some books for me, but overall, I just think it could have benefitted from some judicious editing. The resolution to their romantic conflict almost always comes very early (heh) in the story. And the sex was fine but this isn't a series that necessarily works as a binge because the samey-ness to the stories really stands out. It's the tropes - depending on which ones are your faves, that's what determines if it works for you IMO.

Individual Books (I would choose your own adventure and read as you like, don't think it's crucial to read in order)

Broken: Tortured hero, MMA fighter heroine, real survivalist. Crazy setup but it worked for me. 4 stars

Jade is desperately searching for her best friend Emma, who has been missing for months. After the police could only trace Emma's last phone ping to a general area, Jade hires a private investigator, but even he can't find any new leads. Determined, Jade shows Emma's picture to everyone she meets in hopes that someone might have seen her. When a homeless man claims to have seen Emma enter a suspicious loan building and never come out, Jade decides to investigate the building herself. To her shock, she discovers that Emma has been abducted by aliens, and she is taken by the same aliens at that very moment. Transported to the Orkuns, Jade finds herself caught up in an invasion of Kalix. Determined not to stay with the aliens, she seizes the chance to escape, battles her way out, and crashes the ship on Kalix. She is found by Brele, the prince who had been banished fifteen years prior.

If fighting is out of the question, all that’s left is to flee.-Jade

I really liked Jade overall. She was a bit of a tomboy, a fighter with a fierce determination to find her best friend. Her backstory was quite heavy—her father, who had wished for a son, abused her for being a girl. To defend herself, she learned to fight and became tough physically and mentally. She was the only human woman whose physicality was comparable to that of the Kalixian women, being muscular and strong. I appreciated that her appearance wasn’t all soft and demure like most heroines in this series; it was a refreshing change.

It’s almost as if her smashing her head against mine shocked the realization right into me. My soul has recognized hers.-Brele

While I liked Brele, I expected him to be a bit more broody. Instead, he turned out to be a real sweetheart, craving Jade's company after 15 years of being alone. He was protective and honorable. His way with Jade prove to her that there are indeed some men that can be trusted.

The story wasn’t bad, but it was a bit slow. They spend a lot of time in a cave, and not much else happens. Their relationship ended up being sweeter than I thought it would be. I was hoping for some banter and a hint of forbidden attraction, but even without those, it was decent—just pretty average. On the bright side, their personalities really complemented each other well.

Good couple with minimal drama

I like this story. There is less drama than in the other books in this series and I am more than ok with that. There is some action but not of the life or death variety. Mostly, this is a feel good story, where the storyline is centered on the main characters without a lot of side characters to distract from the main point.

When two lost souls and each other it's magical! Jade is exactly the kind of character that you can easily get addicted to reading about. From the very first page, her force viscerally reaches out and pulls you in. Her dogged determination to find her missing friend is a wonderful addition to the other female characters that came before her in this series. When her actions lead her to Brele, it's magical. There were a few instances where she did some stupid, but those only served to make the storyline deeper and led to excitement and revelations that brought a whole new level to the overall depth of the story. I loved this piece of the series, even though it languished for weeks on my Kindle for weeks before I was able to read it. Life, you know, what can you do? I'm excited to read Lucy's story next! I absolutely love this series!

Broken is a shit ton of fun and pretty explosive in the smut department. Which let's all be honest, it's what we are here for. The MC, Jade, is a MMA fighter is pretty bad ass and Brele as the exile prince isn't so bad himself. I was so with this until the very very end which fell kind of flat for me. I should have been excited for all of the reunions but they seemed kind of cheesy. Is it wrong for me to just want Jade and Brele to have their hea in the wilds?

I love to read romance but only recently ventured into Sci-Fi romance. Presley Hall was one of the first authors in this genre that I read. I have loved almost all the books in this series so far. I think this book and Stolen were my favorite two. I love to read about strong alpha males that super protective of their women. I love to read paranormal romances as well so I really enjoyed the how the Kalixian's believed in their one true mate. The mate bonding is steamy and hot.

I would not be surprised if there is really life outside of our galaxy so the perception in the book of Earthlings being ignorant and naive is not surprising. Sadly it doesn't help the Terra women in endearing themselves to the citizens of Kalix. They are met with skepticism and prejudice. I loved how all the heroines did something to help the Kalixian's, and therefore proved their worth and rebuked the belief that earthlings were weak and useless.

Jade was determined in her search for her friend Emma. The author did a great job at developing a character that could mentally and physcially handle being abducted by herself. She is tough physically and mentally. I was glad to see Jade open herself up emotionally to Brele, despite her history.

Brele is such a sweet and kind hero. He doesn't come off arrogant or snobbish as you might expect from someone who was once royalty. It may have been because of his many years in banishment. I did find it a bit of a stretch he was able to have so many modern conveniences at his disposal despite how far from civilization he was, but it didn't take away from the story at all and in fact made some things more plausible. I really appreciated and was touched how Brele was constantly putting Jade's needs above his own, like all of the heroes in this series, but it is much more touching with Brele, because he has been so alone and isolated for so long.

I was so happy with the ending and wondered how it was going to come together and it was perfect and so not expected. This book can be read standalone, but it flows a lot better if you read the series in order.

I'm so excited to read the next book "Consumed."

I really liked this 5th book in the Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors. It took me a little longer to finish because I really need a break from this series, but the author tricks you by heading right into the next book as the epilogue for this one. I’m a sucker since I’ve already bought the next book, Lucy & Tycran, but I may take a break before diving in.

I really like this story because it has 2 brand new characters that we haven’t met before. I also like that it takes place deep in the jungle, so there’s plenty of new adventures and scary creatures to meet. This whole book feels a little different than the earlier ones since it’s such a different storyline. It was filled with a lot more thrilling fight-for-survival adventures and obstacles. I felt like it was maybe slightly less steamy than previous books but a lot more adventure.

My only complaint with this book didn’t warrant a star off…I really wanted more!! Because we are now invested in the fight against the Orkun, thanks to earlier books, I really wanted more details on the information Brele collected to fight the Orkun. I’m going to assume the Kalixians spend the rest of the series trying to eradicate the evil Orkun, so hopefully we get to learn some of the useful information Brele collected.

I also really needed a bit more closure on this couple after they reach the palace. After telling his story, Brele was completely forgiven by his brother, the king. The expectation was other Kalixians would not be as forgiving. I sort of needed to see a bit more of how others reacted to his betrayal story and also would like to see them a bit more settled in at the castle. There is mention that Brele becomes an advisor but I’m curious how that plays out. I just wanted maybe another chapter or even an epilogue a few months later.

4&1\2fabulous 🌟's

I think this is my favorite in the series his far. Brele, has to have lived through one of the worst experiences anyone could ever have. To watch and have a hand in the downfall of your own people and family you love because the enemy took control of your mind with technology. This tech leave you fully aware of what your are doing, horrified at your inability to stop or say anything. In essence being trapped in your own mind with no way out. How the he'll do you live with the guilt. For Brele you live to punish yourself because you believe no pain is great enough to make up for what you were forced to do. While in exile, he finds Jade and she changes the course of his existence for ever. Jade, never gave up looking for her best friends Emma. Since the day Emma disappeared Jade has searched and she finally found so information. When she confronts the payroll loan employee she abducted and told she is going to be the mate to a disgusting alien she fights back. Jade is unique her life has been hard and fighting is all she knows it's what's made her a champion MMA fighter undefeated in her class. When she fights back the ship she's I crashes on Kalix. Here she meets more that a rescuer, she meets a male worthy of her trust and devotion. Brele, and Made struggle at first with trust but dangerous circumstances, bring them together quickly and show them both just what the other is made of. Their passion soon burns more intense than any sun. Together they two heal what's broken inside each other and forge a new path built on the foundations of trust, love and loyalty. So good highly recommend💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Passionately desirable

The more read about the Khalaxian warriors, the more I need one of my own! Hall has managed to pull my entire existence into this one!

Jade is worried and still searching for her best friend, Emma, even after the authority’s have given up. She finds herself in an ally, standing in front of the payday loan place that Emma was last seen. Once inside, everything goes black and she awakens on an Orkun ship, being dragged to their king, Alkul. As she’s fighting and the ship gorse down, she wakes up once again to the most gorgeous thing she has ever laid eyes on, Brele. Does she respond to the attraction or run?

Brele has been living hidden in the woods of Kalix for 15 years, alone and banished for his betrayal of his people. But now he’s standing over, protecting one of the most beautiful creatures he has ever seen. How her presence makes him feel, makes him remember when his people would discuss the feelings a warriors Irisa made them feel, he begins to believe every word spoken. His desire to touch, need to protect, longing to mate are so strong but first, he has to get her to understand.

Jade and Brele’s story is filled with so many trials and tribulations, so many obstacles, but they never give up on one another. Only thing is, Brele has to figure out a way to get back into the kingdom he was banned from all those years ago so he and Jade can have a happy life together. D
Are they going to be able to make it back into the kingdom? Will their love, passion, and desire be able to overcome the ultimate test? I know I was glued to the very end!

This was my second Presley Hall's book and I had the same feeling while reading Her Alien Savior: it's a nice read but the plot dragged a little. It sounds like the author has too many ideas for each book and has a little trouble when editing it.
If this particular book focused on the falling in love + getting back to the city instead of also having the underground stranding as well, it would be way better. When there are so many plots happening, it gets tiresome and I started skimming the last ~20%.

Also, this book had one of my all time pet peeves: when one character feels like they were the worse person alive just because they made something when they were SUBDUED/FORCED to do it. They had no other choice and they know it, but they keep thinking as if they were the sole responsible for all things bad. Look, if you are a slave/being held against your will/being in some way forced to act a certain way, stop feeling so guilty and understand nobody would expect you to act a different way. This is basic survival instinct, is ok for you to not feel guilty all the f*cking time.

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including some adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence.

This could be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend the series be read in order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc concerning their sworn enemy.

The focus of this story is the love, loyalty and friendship of a best friend that has gone missing from earth. While trying to find her best friend, the heroine of the story is kidnapped as well and finds herself the unwilling tribute bride of an alien warlord. She finally gets the opportunity to fight for her life, but it requires that she take control of the spaceship and crashing into an unfamiliar planet. This is when the banished brother of the King finds the wreckage and rescues the female.

After she awakens, he realizes she is his fated mate ... he, the Kalixian that deserves a mate the least, as he is the reason the females of child bearing age from his planet are all dead.

This was FREAKING AMAZING!

God, was this a good book or what!!

Jade is Emma's friend that also gets kidnapped and fights her way to freedom, so to speak. She's an MMA fighter, so think a tall, athletic female.

Brele is the lost prince, so Khrelan's older brother, who should have been the King but shit went down and, well, he isn't (not that he wants to be). He lives a Robinson Crusoe kinda life in the wilderness of Kalix. He brings Jade unconscious (when the pod she was in crashed to Kalix) to his house in the woods and when she wakes up, they tussle! And god, do they tussle.

With all the dangers of the wilderness they overcome together, they also get close but in a very, very, extremely hot way.

Once Brele decides it's time to go home after years of being away, they do and find that not only is Emma the Queen now, but also that his brother has his fated mate.
They make amends and all decide to live together in the palace.

I would have liked to hear more from Brele in the other books. I loved this wild, hot, sexy man.

Broken

This is the story of Brele and Jade. Jade is the best friend of Emma who is the mate of Brele’s brother the prince of Kalix. Jade was abducted when she wouldn’t stop looking for Emma after she disappeared. She was taken by the mortal enemy of the Kalixian people. She was forced onto a spaceship that was headed to Kalix for war. The “slime ball” she was “given” to underestimated Jade who was an MMA fighter. She got away from him in the spaceship and attempted to wrest control of the steering from “slime ball”. Ultimately the ship crashed. “Slimer” was killed in the crash. Jade was severely wounded. She was found by Brele and taken to his cabin in the woods. He healed her and also realized she was his fated mate. The story continues with a lot of action and Brele revealing he was a truly honorable man. I recommend the book as I am following the entire series. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.

Emma's friend Jade has followed her trail on Earth, followed it too well, and has been kidnapped by the Orkun.

Luckily, her captor has been called to Kalix to attack the Kalixians again, but a lucky hit bounced the fighter Jade was in, throwing her cage around and breaking the lock. Jade has been a MMA fighter for years, this is her chance to get away from the Orkun piloting the fighter. She seeks out of the broken cage and finds a weapon, attacking the alien pilot, over and over then grabbing the yoke and pulling away from the battle, finally crashing on the planet below. She is found in the remains of the ship, barely alive, by the exiled brother of the Prince , who recognizes her as his fated mate. Will he be able to help her? Will they be able to communicate, to form a bond, to clear his name, bewitched by the Orkun who had kidnapped and controlled him with a medical brain implant? There is a happy ending after a lot of turmoil.

Jade is Emma's best friend and she is determined to find her best friend. In her escape plan, the ship is on crashes on the Kalix planet. Alone in a dangerous wilderness, her only hope is a darkly handsome alien with bronze skin, horns and penetrating eyes. He appears to want to help her at a minimum, but she is not sure she should trust him especially when he is harbouring a dark secret.

I enjoyed this story and the way that Jade gave as good as she got which was really important and is exactly what made them so compatible. I was thrilled when they found a way to reunite the brothers and the best friends in a dramatic intervention which was also helping in their war with the alien race that was actually doing all of the kidnappings. A fun read that will get you invested in the story. Contains explicit sexual content.

Okay this was probably my favorite of the series so far. It's got so many fun story elements to it.

Our MMC is the exiled prince mentioned from the previous books. We don't know why he was exiled but only that his brother couldn't understand why his elder brother would betray the family and it happened over fifteen years ago and no one knows if he's alive or not.

Our FMC is best friends with the previous books FMC. She goes looking for her friend when she just up and disappears. But she asks too many questions and is abducted as well. In her human life she was a MMA fighter and top in her division so she's kind of a badass and when her escape pod crashes on Kalixia she is saved by the exiled ex-prince. They can't communicate for the first bit of the book but I love that trope. Like the previous books we get the fated mates trope but also a great redemption arc and a FMC who can compete with the warriors on this alien planet.

Overall
Story 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Presley Hall’s new addition to the Kalixian Warriors series is a steamy rendition of love between Jade and Brele. Jade has gone looking for her best friend Emma who disappeared because she was taken by aliens. Jade was unaware of Emma’s misfortune, but the police had stopped looking for her, so Jade took it upon herself to find her best friend, and then she is kidnapped by the aliens herself. In fighting back, she crashes the ship and her abductor is killed. Jade is found by Brele, an exiled former prince of Kalixia, who upon death can never show his face again to his people because he had betrayed the Kalixians causing death among many. The story is filled with page after page of steamy interaction between the two. I was waiting for Jade’s character development of her fighting skills that were mentioned over and over, but they never came to fruition. All in all, it was a good story.

I love this series. Love strong female characters with zero whine. Love alpha males with eyes only for their gals. I really am in awe with the universe Presley Hall has created for us with these Kalixian warriors. I really like how each story has it‘s own setting. We’ve gone from a spaceship, to crash landing on a dusty world, to an alien city, and now to a wild and dangerous wilderness. This part alone, is very entertaining. However, what keeps me coming back are the love stories. I loved reading about no-nonsense Jade and Brele finding their HEA after going through some very entertaining adventures. I can’t wait to own the audio version too. There’s just something about that C.J. Grey and his gravelly voice.

The Fated Mates of Kalixian Warriors series just keeps getting better and better. I honestly don't understand why this series hasn't gained more traction. It definitely deserves it. Ok, so it doesn't have as much sex as a lot of the other Alien romance books out there and the aliens don't have any weird sexual apendages our quirks, but there is still loads of sexual tension and steam and the Aliens sound super hot! The storylines are also very well thought out, fast-paced, action-packed and exciting. These books are also very well written, with rare gramatical or spelling mistakes, which I really appreciate. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm anxiously awaiting the next one in the series. If you like Alien romance, do yourself a favour and read these books.

This story takes place into the wilderness in contrast to the previous story that took place in the palace, a nice contrast indeed! Jade is the exact opposite of Emma and her story is different as well. She is wild, physically strong, always depending on herself alone, and determined. Brele is sweet, strong and a little savage, albeit a tormented Kalixian haunted by his past. This story is fast-paced and easy to read, hot as h*ll, with lots of action and suspense. I was really intrigued to know what happened to the long banished prince of Kalix and why he seemingly betrayed his people. Also, I love the fact that the ending of each story leaves you wanting to know about the next couple asap!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jade was a firecracker, I loved her! Brele I really felt for. His story had me tearing up. After you really start getting to know him, I found myself wanting to Jade to accept him and the bond quicker. Almost like I wanted her to save him, help him not feel so much hate/guilt for himself. Definitely different for me, my favorite stories are usually the big, possessive, alpha male protecting and saving the girl. Not to say that he isn’t that, but Jade is definitely not the damsel in distress. Author did a great job of still making me connect and really enjoy their story, despite it not being my typical male/female makeup.

One of my favorites, but sometimes wished they had more dialogue at times. Felt like there was a lot of the monologue in their heads.

SO GOOD! I loved this book. I knew from the blurb that I would love Brele - broken people are totally my thing. I was not expecting to love Jade as much as I did. I kinda want to be her if I ever grow up. This book really got me. I loved the action, the deep emotions, the connection between Jade and Brele. I enjoyed the fact that this is almost exclusively just the two of them, so we get a deep dive into their relationship. I really love Presley's writing style and this story just confirmed the fact that she is one of my all time favourite romance authors. I am just so impressed with this story.

This was an ARC copy the book will be released October 9th and you’re going to want to read this! Brele is the banished Prince who would’ve been king. But if he was still a prince he wouldn’t have been there when Jade crashed and needed saving. Can I just say Jade is a true ride or die friend! She wasn’t going to give up until she found Lucy. Even if it meant being kidnapped by aliens herself. I won’t say anything else about the story. You just have to read it for yourself I swear. Loved Brele and Jade’s story it was so powerful watching (reading) them overcoming their pasts together. 100/10 October 9th go download this book! Lucy and Jade are friendship goals.

Made and Brele's story is a journey of trust for Jade who had been abused by her father and didn't trust anyone except for her friend Emma. Emma, who had disappeared and the police weren't exactly moving heaven and earth to find her. She manages to get abducted by the Orkun and then rescued by Brele. Brele's got his own demons and even though he feels drawn to Jade, he feels unworthy. Jade doesn't believe in love, let alone a mate bond. Great characters, love the story and world building. Zction , adventure and a HEA, a great read.

Not so Broken..

This story centers around the male lead, Brele and the female lead, Jade.

Brele's name was briefly mentioned in the previous book, his brother Khrelan and I was drawn in wondering what in the world could have have done to be banished.

Brele and Jade are perfect for each other, they both are strong well written characters.

The women of Terra are making a new home on Kalix.

Overall, a well written read and a great addition to the rest of the series.

Keep up the good work Presley Hall, I can't wait for the next book in the series!
