Hide and seek is a lot less fun in an alien prison where the winner gets… me.

Rian
I’m not a stranger to being behind bars, but this prison leaves a lot to be desired. There are zero communal showers, minimal locking cells, and the other prisoners are extremely hostile. That could be because they are aliens and this is a prison in another galaxy. Add in the fact that I’m a human female, and my life span has just dropped some serious time.

I’m about to go down fighting when a scary blue alien with spikes decides he’s my rescuer. Except he doesn’t seem happy about my presence and, well, join the club, buddy.

Mikko
After spending a third of my life in the Pit, I returned for some payback but instead find a human female fighting for her life. She’s small, snarly, and irritatingly beautiful.

When a coveted reward is offered to the prisoners for our capture, the game changes. My enemies thought I was unpredictable with anger issues before? They haven’t seen anything yet. I’ll escape again with my female, and then the real payback begins.

Mikko is a SciFi Alien Warrior Romance featuring a prickly, snarky hero with a heart of gold and a heroine who loves as hard as she fights.

YES! YES! & YES AGAIN!
Read this book. Start at the beginning 😘🥰💋

I was scared of Mikko's story. Really worried I would not like his story. Boy was I wrong. This was a great follow up to the first book in this series, which I love also.... this story was intense and action packed on every level. It pulls at the heart, and other things too, quite well😉😛

Great story. Great everything about this one. I would highly recommend. Please read in order.

This was a fun one, with a great FMC - Rian was smart and capable, really fierce. And Mikko was great too.

Also loved the little hobbit-type dudes, and their pet. They're so great! I am glad they came with, and hope more of their people join them - they're wonderful and clearly in need of protection.

this one was kind of difficult because the dude is covered in what are essentially knives but there is no real description on how she goes about even a hug. like, the chick is constantly running into his arms. then the dude lays on his back a whole bunch but all I can think about are the knives in his back and A. how painful that is and B. its gonna tear everything up and C. wouldnt they break from the pressure?? I like this side story of altered dudes but yeah, not in love with this. i was for sure! by the end they would have made it back and a doc would say, I know what happened with you and we can at least make this a bit more comfortable, maybe he could retract them but throwing them was always going to be super painful...... but nope. loved the little "hobbits" mostly because I love all things tolkien. So that warmed my nerdy girl heart. the cargo ship bit was really great. I'm not sure how you go forward with the fire guy (name remembrance is hard) and the constant pain he is in and how you dont help him in some way. I just dont see him getting help and I dont like that. Still not sure why they all have to "find their way off" the "island". Seems ALMOST lazy as a writer to keep returning to this same kind of scenario. its feeling a bit like fill in the numbers. I still come back to this series because I like the originator of it, even if those were a bit hit and miss. The love stories keep me around.

Gah!! This book was so flecking AMAZING!!

There were so many ups and downs that had me on the edge of my seat and then bursting with happiness. And that ending!!!! Seriously it was full of all the love and joy and was just perfect.

Mikko and Rian were absolutely made for each other. I love a strong heroine who holds her own but is also completely vulnerable with the right man (or Drix)! And boy was Mikko worthy of her love and devotion.

So, the formula may be predictable but the details were fun and new.
The location where our hero and heroine meet is surprising and even better, we meet some cool new characters and they are way different than any we have met before.
It is also good to be reminded that just because a hottie is Drixoian doesn’t mean he is perfect. This guy F’s up. And we all see it coming, you, me, her, his “brothers”… we all see except this dude.
Dumb dude. Super dumb.

Virgin rating:
Innocence of virgin hero: 4/5 (these Drixionians! He has never been with a female and yet he has been well schooled in the ways of giving sexual pleasure. As you know, I am never sure how to rate these guys!
Innocence in losing it: 1/5
Build up to losing it: 3/5
Hotness of losing it: 3/5
Busted touching himself: no
POV of losing it: female

Mikko is another fabulous addition to the Stolen Warriors series.
*****
Rating: 4 stars
Steam: 3 flames
Genre: Alien Romance
*****
Mikko is one of the Drixonian’s that was altered by the Uldani’s. His alteration was considered a failure and he was sold to the Pilkins. Mikko is a rebel and angry and refuses to bend to the Pilkin’s rules and is thus thrown into the Pit.

The Pit, the underground prison where prisoners are lowered in, but they never get out. It is a home for violence, pain, and more violence. No one ever leaves the Pit once they are placed there, that is unless you are Mikko and you are only alien to ever escape. Mikko is full of rage, and he directs most of it to the Pit. He is singularly focused on destroying the vile place so no one else will have to face the torment and torture he survived.

The book begins with Mikko making his second descent down into the Pit, this time he wanted to be there so he can exact his plan of destruction. Everything is going as planned until he hears the screams of a human. A female human, and what is left of his honor and Drixonian nature comes out in full force as he literally swoops in to save the damsel in distress. (swoon)

Rian's life has not been easy. She has been in prison, has a terrible mother, and seems to always have the cards stacked against her. When she is kidnapped by aliens and then sold, she does what she has done her whole life, she fights and that lands her in the Pit.

After her rescue in the Pit, she is faced with a decision, trust the big blue alien, or give up and lose to the Pit? I loved Rian’s character, she was strong and fierce and even though she had been dealt terrible cards, she still kept her moral compass pointing north. Can she help Mikko learn to let go of his past, change his path, and look to the future?

Mikko is an engaging, suspenseful, page-turner of a story. It has wonderful characters, some old and some new (I simply loved the hilbobs and Meri). Mikko is filled with grit, great characters, steam, and a HEA that will make you cheer! I definitely recommend this book and entire series!

He'd fought for me. He'd nearly died for me.... I owed everything to him, and I couldn't believe on this shitty planet, I'd managed to meet someone like him.

4 stars

I loved Mikko and Rian's story so much! After being tortured and imprisoned on a foreign planet, Mikko is obsessed with his revenge, determined to destroy the memories of his past. However his planning goes awry when he comes across a human female...who happens to be his mate. I loved Rian and Mikko's chemistry and their comfort around each other. Rian was wary of Mikko at first, but his steady and protective nature provided her with a stable foundation she needed. There was so much angst towards the end, but the HEA was worth it. I LOVED seeing my favorite Drixonians and their mates (Sax stole the show as always), and I cannot wait for the last two warriors to find their HEAs🖤

Tropes: fated mates, forced proximity, cinnamon roll hero, heroine-in-danger, 'touch her and die' vibes, alien romance, prison planet, witty banter, he falls first, band of brothers, found family, STEAMY🔥

Another good book in this series. Long story short, Mikko saves our heroine from being savagely eaten or something from the others in the alien jail. There is danger and excitement and they make it out alive. Then work to find their way to a ship so they can start a life together on Corin, even if no one else is there. They end up floating out in space when the last Plixian ejects the engines but are saved by a passing ship flown by a Drixonian we haven't met yet.

Ella has a free story about him and his mate that I've downloaded and yet to read. Tho, from what I read in Mikko, it looks like a good one.

Of course they make it to Corin and learn that the other Drixonian's are there and the h (I have forgotten her name, my bad) is so excited to see other human's beside Tarrik's (the Drixonian who saved them) female.

It was a good one and I will definitely get back into reading the rest of the series and the series after this one.

An enjoyable sci-fi romance.

This sci-fi romance was fun and full of action. There were plenty of action and adventure elements. There was high stakes and low angst, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. The world building was vivid, with the Pit coming to life for this reader. The characterization was good, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and hot, with the heat level rating at three chili peppers. It was also short enough to be able to enjoy on a busy day, while being a satisfying story, and it had entertaining humorous elements. Reading this novel was an enjoyable way to spend my early Monday morning.

Quick(ish) Review

I have a soft spot for this SFR series and I liked how Mikko and Rían came together. The story’s plot is similar in parts to the first book, but the addition of the hilbobs and Meri really made it fun and earned that extra star for me. The heroine is Latinx (I assume based on her surname) but there’s really no impact on the story. Do we delve deeply into their histories? Not really, but the action keeps things hopping and the smexy scenes are exactly what i expected. Overall, it was a sweet way to end my weekend and I’m looking forward to the next one.

This book full of action, dark and sweet moments. I think if it would have been longer the romance plot line would have been more developed. It was still a good one. I love these Drixonian aliens.

NoTe: You want to read 0.5 - Trawn - before this one.

Mikko is a Drix who was mutated so that he can't put his machets (dagger-like appendages) down into his skin, instead having the ability to shoot them as projectiles that regenerate, albeit with a lot of pain and blood-loss. He escaped 'The Pit' - a prison on a hostile planet, but has gone back to destroy it.

Upon returning, he finds out that they dropped a human female into the pit to be raped and torn apart for entertainment, and he rescues her. But his escape route was compromised, and they were trapped... until meeting the alien equivalent of Tolkien's Merry & Pippin, and a monkey/bird named Mari. Together, they escape, only to find themselves drifting in space...

... it was exciting. It was sweet. The extra characters made this one extra special. And of course all of the characters from the NINE books that come before this were in it, so that made it great, too.

Better still, there were fewer sex scenes, barely any 'F' words (although they were more appropriate for this heroine, who is an ex-con human badass who actually picks up Mikko's machetes and FIGHTS ALIENS with them, hello...! I *LIKED* Rian. I liked Mikko. I loved the little furry dudes.

This was a GOOD one!!

The best ending for any book in this series so far.

The Stolen Warriors series is a spinoff from the Drixonian Warrior series. I highly recommend reading that series first.

I'm a sucker for alien romances. I know that so many are very similar in plot but there are differences between them that, for me, make them all worth reading. Some authors are better than others. You learn which ones you like the best and ignore the rest. This is one of the authors whose characters, and the world she has created for them I really love. There nothing kinky going on but there are plenty of erotic scenes to suit me.

Mikko had escaped "the Pit" once already but has returned to destroy it from within. The pit was the ultimate prison created by the Plikens for the worst criminals. Unfortunately beings that didn't deserve to be there were thrown in as well. Mikko wanted to end their suffering, until a human woman was thrown into the mix.  He had to rescue her before completing his plan.
As always there is the action, adventure, twists, and turns you've come to expect from the Drixonian warriors. The end of this story is the best so far. It's truly wonderful. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, Fenix.

Great read. This was just as exciting as book one. Rian was strong and badass even though put in a horrible situation in the pit surrounded by evil aliens. Fortunately, Mikko saves her and they have to survive and escape. It had some fun moments, and at the end I though they weren't going to make it but they got their hea.

Plot: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Romance: 💗💗💗
Spiciness: 🔥🔥🔥
Action: 💥💥💥
Angst: 😞😞
Hea: Yes.

Alien abduction PNR with darker themes but written with a sense of humor

This is the 2nd story in the spin-off from the Drixonian Warriors series. While it is not necessary to read the original series before beginning this series, I highly recommend that both be read in publication date order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overarching storyline theme.

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy adult intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, human trafficking, assault, torture, attempted rape, fighting with some to the death, enslavement, etc.

This story also contains some grammatical issues but nothing that I had difficulty interpreting, just more annoying than anything. Especially considering the well defined story universe, characters (love me some hilbobs), and storyline. I love a series that continues to build as long as it doesn’t become repetitive, and this series seems to have enough space to go for about as many additions as the author wants to write, or at least at this time.

The story of Rian, a female abducted from earth, and Mikko, a Drixonian warrior abducted, enslaved, experimented on, and sold to the Plixans, begins after he rescues her from being torn apart after she is thrown into the Pit. She was sent there for killing her “owner” and the guards wanted to see her try and fight for a few minutes to help relieve their boredom.

Mikko had escaped the Pit once before and came back to fulfill an oath he swore to destroy it. The last thing he expected was to enter and hear a female cry out. Now he needs to hold onto the last part of the Drixonian warrior he once was, and help get her out of there. He can still find a way to destroy it later, right?

Loved it!

Oh man I love this series and these big blue Drixonian warriors! The Sri have been through a lot, from losing all of their females to being betrayed by the Uldani who offered them purpose after their society collapsed. When they find out the Uldani were selling warriors off planet and experimenting on others, they fought to free themselves. Later as they rescued human females from the Uldani’s breeding experiments and more treachery was revealed they fought again to take down the high ranking military, corrupt scientists and elites. Then they went home to rebuild on their home planet to raise their new families with the rescued women that had bonded with Drixonian warriors. This is the story of Rein and Mikko. They meet in a prison pit on planet Vixlicin, were Mikko had done time and Rein was tossed in for entertainment. Despite the pain, trauma and horrors of his past, Mikko is still a Drixonian warrior, and their creed has always been ‘she is all’ he must get her out of the inescapable prison and bring her to the safety of his home planet. Of all the books in this series Mikko has been the quickest to realize he wants Rein and wants her to be his mate, usually the Drixonians fight the connection with either feelings of unworthiness or just getting over the fact that all of their females have been gone most of their lives and they never thought they’d ever have this chance for a future and families. So anyway Mikko and Rein fight and struggle their way off planet and eventually make it to planet Corin, only to be reunited with all of the Drixonians who have already returned and resettled there. THAT was my favorite part, a bunch of cameos from former series characters, a glimpse at their happy lives and new babies, plus it was such a joyful reunion, tearing up again just thinking about it. Wonderful series!!

Ella Maven has done it again with her second book in the Stolen Warriors series. I’ve been made to care about these damaged aliens so much, so every one that finds his fated mate and manages to carve out a new life and a way to be happy despite everything that’s happened to him is food for my romantic soul.

Mikko is on a mission to destroy the prison pit in which he spent many years. But while he’s there, he encounters Rian, a human female that brings back to life a part of him he thought was gone forever - the ability to love, protect and cherish. The pit isn’t a happy place, and escape was going to be difficult when it was just him. But, now with a human female along for the ride, it’s almost impossible. Luckily, Mikko and Rian make some new friends along the way, and between them and Mikko’s fellow Stolen Warriors, they might just have a chance.

Rian is an awesome heroine. She’s feisty and brave and doesn’t back down from a challenge. She’s exactly what Mikko needs. Despite being experimented on and then imprisoned for years, Mikko still finds and embraces that which makes his race awesome - the respect they have for women. And with everything Mikko and Rian go through to escape not only the pit but the planet itself, he never disrespects her. All the Stolen Warriors are like that, which makes me love them even more.

I’m full of heart eyes and happy sighs after finishing Mikko. The ending is absolutely perfect. It makes me want to beg Ella Maven to never leave this world she has created, because I will never be prepared to say goodbye. I will always want to know more - to see how all these characters are doing and to keep tabs on their lives. Now we just need to get the final Stolen Warriors to the happy place they deserve, and all will be well.

Stolen, tortured , changed and then saved 4 & 1\2fabulous 🌟's for book to in the stolen warriors series!

I love Ella Maven and her Drixonian warriors they are some of the headquarters to read about in the Sci-fi alien romance genre 💖 Mikko is the second offering in the series. He's huge, surly, snarky and has a heart of gold and once he gives his loyalty it's for life. After book one he and his other brother modified Drixonians were left in the desert planet. Mikko decided to seek vengeance and enter the prison lot to destroy it once and for all so that no one would have to suffer there again. While waiting for his opportunity to destroy the place he finds that another stolen human women had been brought to this he'll of a planet and the slavers have thrown her until the pit. Once .kill hears and sees her he vows to protect and save her. Rian, has a troubled youth and ban abusive mother. She's spent a bit of time in jail for petty left but no where eat the hell she is facing now .stolen from her bed after a long days work and then sold as a slave and then Accidentally doing something horrible to get herself thrown into the pit to be punished and use an entertainment hE make Rian very distrustful and angry. When she lands in the pit she does all she can too flight back but almost looses the right until Mikko shows up to help her. What happened next is the story of two beings broken down by life and reborn through trust, respect and love. Both help each other to fight for survival and help each other heal wounds they thought were too deep and ugly . Together they find purpose but most of all they find acceptance, passion and love. I can't wait for the next story!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Ever wondered what it would be like to copulate with one of the aliens creatures from the movie Avatar? Then these are the book for you!

This author is absolutely brilliant! They have balanced the perfect amount of action, adventure, desire and romance. I have read every single book in this series (Drixonian Warrior Series), including every book of the each offshoot, and cannot wait for the next one to come out. This book in this series is one of those offshoots. While staying true to the Drixonians we’ve come to love, this series adds a bit more with the warrior’s advancements; one can rage and fly, one can create fire with his hands, one can throw and regenerate his spikes, and the 4th one?.. you will just have to read and find out for yourself. There are a numerous amount of editorial errors throughout each book, but not enough to take away from the experience. I have even read a couple books twice because, well, holy hotness!

I will add, however, with a bit of disappointment, that while each book has different characters with different outlooks, each outcome is exactly the same. Boy saves girl, boy has issues about his past that prevents him from “claiming” girl, girl has exact same issues, girl saves boy somehow, “Fatas” gives both boy and girl matching wrist tattoos that mark them as mates, boy and girl finally accept their feelings for each other and live happily ever after. That’s the bases for each and every book. Still, I will read it over and over again with a sense of fulfillment.

All I have left to say is, “She is all!“

I feel kinda bad giving this book 4 stars when book #1 (Rexor) had the same rating and was waaay better than this one. Let's pretend this is 3.5 stars instead.

First things first: I HATE prison tropes and almost gave up reading this installment, but I decided to go through it because I liked Mikko on book 1 and wanted to see his story. I'm happy to say the prison scenario was not the major plot. They escape prison before the 50% mark and therefore the story became better for me.

The h was too understanding to my liking. I hate brats/whinny heroines but also hate the ones who just accepts everything. The H was being a stupid stubborn baby and after a five-minute talk with Fenix she just accepts Mikko's bad decision.

Mikko was more likable on book 1. He was too stubborn on the idea of revenge here. I felt like he was selfish and put the h in more danger than necessary just to get what he wanted.

However, this book was still pretty damn good. This author has a way of making me feel so f*cking much. I'm at a moment at my life where I avoid angst readings, but Ella Maven is able to make my heart ache and still I want to read her books. It’s a good angst, with actual purpose to the plot.

And after all the pain, we get a HEA.

Rian had been a prisoner on Earth but the prison she found herself in after being abducted by aliens is incredibly basic - no communal showers, no locking cells, no regular meals and very hostile fellow inmates. She is about to go down fighting for her life there when a scary blue alien with spikes decides he is her rescuer even though he is not happy about her being there. Drexian warrior Mikko had been experimented on by another alien race but had been in the Pit but a third of his life. He has escaped but had returned in order to destroy it when he finds a small, beautiful and very sassy human female fighting for her life and decides he cannot stand idly by. Everything changes when she is offered as a reward for their capture everything changes and he has to leave there now without actioning his plan.

I enjoyed this story which had Mikko focused on his revenge agenda only for it to be derailed by the rescue of Rian. I enjoyed all of the drama and danger in the Pit as well as the more tender moments between them both. I loved the way that he had to gain her trust and he did that quite well as so that shows he had some experience with that even though he seemed to just be focused on violence. Easy to read, clear and easy to understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

amazingly addictive!

Loved Mikkos story! The stolen warriors all deserve HEA and after all they suffered it’s so beautiful to see it come true. I loved mikko and rian. Both are fighters and have fierce determination despite their hardships. Loved seeing fenix and zecri again. Loved the new additions to their family as it shows there are hopes of other species that are capable of good. Mikko had so much anger and rightfully so after what he and his friends/brothers endured. But it was not healthy for him and only fueled a mission that would lead to his demise and get him no peace. I loved that although rian didn’t agree with his choice to destroy the pit, after talking to fenix she finally understood. They four of them carried their pain and torture as daily reminders. Which only fueled mikkos need to get retribution somehow. That was how he coped with everything. It gave him a purpose and drive until rian. Love each story primarily to get to the ends and see more of our favorite warrior couples from the drix series. And someone had twins!!!! Makes me so happy to see all the ladies and their babies and their hunky big blue mates. Can’t wait for fenix!!

Mikko!! Oh, Mikko you gorgeous, cocky, sexy thang.

I loved this book! I think it just might be my favourite ‘Drix’ book yet. Mikko and Rian are brilliant together. Rian is so strong, resilient, and feisty and Mikko is cocky, damaged, and just grrr! There is so much action, so many laughs and the chemistry between Mikko and Rian is flecking fire. These books are a little darker than the original series, but I am here for it, as it adds an intriguing layer to the characters and story. I also loved the addition of some interesting side characters which provide many sweet and funny moments.

The last part of the book saw me with tears streaming down my face one minute and laughing hysterically the next. It was just pure Ella magic. I’m already eagerly anticipating Fennix and Zecri’s stories as I know they will deliver more wonderful alien escapism and piercings.

I almost want to be kidnapped by aliens so that I can try and find my own Drix and move to Corin with the gang (shh! Don’t tell my husband!).
