This series is amazing! Ms. LaManna’s imagination is mind-boggling! I pick up one of her books and can’t seem to put it down. This addition to the series was no different. I loved every word and hated it when it was finished. I would recommend this book (series) to anyone who enjoys a good science-fiction kind of cozy, with magic, adventure, danger and romance. Read the first in the series first to get the best WOW factor!

Love

I think this book covered Love for everything. It was such a heart felt book with a lot of twist and turns that brought Lily a whole bunch of turmoil. She is one strong woman. We see all the different kinds of love Lily has for so much. This book was just what I needed to read. I was very happy with everything.

Lily is up against it this time around. The Isle is being attacked by land, sea & air. Lily has been asked to help with the poisoning of the King of the Mermaids. There is also a volcano in danger of erupting and the forest is in turmoil.
What's a stressed mixologist to do? Well if you're Lily, you take it one potion at a time. Luckily she has her friends & family to lend help.

Obviously because I read this series, I like to read paranormal fiction. Usually it's vampires, werewolves & witches. That's why I was so excited about this installment in "the Magic Mixology" series b/c it's Mermaids. Woo hoo!!!
A nice twist on the usual as well as the fact that I haven't come across many stories featuring mermaids. (I'd recommend "Fred the mermaid" series by Mary Janice Davidson as one of the best)

Another one with some cross-over with the characters from "The Sixth Borough" series. I always enjoy that as I feel like the writer does a tremendous job of making the 2 series companion pieces without sacrificing their individuality.

There was lots of suspense, action & surprises along the way. There was some humor, romance, wonderful characters. The pace moves quickly so it was an easy, page-turning read.

I'm finding this is a common occurrence on many of the latest books in a series that I've read in 2020-2021. The writer's are really kicking them up a notch!
(maybe it's working during a pandemic quarantine) But this book is another example in the trend.

LaManna has several series & books so I'm not sure if this was meant to be the last in this series so she can concentrate on others.
If that's the case, then this was an excellent way to end a series. But if it isn't (which would be cool), she did a brilliant job of wrapping things up. A brilliant addition to the Mixology story!

Thank you to the writer for a copy of the ARC in exchange for a review.

Misty's Corner Review :

I LOVE this series so much; book 8 was exactly what the fans needed to tie up previous storylines and make way for new ones! I particularly enjoyed the Frozen 2 “...the next right thing...” and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ vibes I was getting. This may have been unintentional, but I took pleasure in them just the same! I devoured this one in less than two days, reading every chance I could! I love Lily’s character as the Isle’s Mixologist and the deep love connections she has with her fiancee Ranger X, her family, friends and really everyone she comes across. The crossover between LaManna’s magical characters and settings was done in such a way that it felt like a big, end-of-the-world type family reunion where everyone comes together for a greater cause, yet you still feel right there, right at home.

I'd recommend starting this series straight from the beginning and enjoying every bit of it! Then, of course, check out her Hex Files series if you're like me and just can't get enough of this magically delicious world! Fans of Janet Evanovich will surely love her writing style!

Many thanks to LaManna Books for my gifted copy. I have honestly and voluntarily reviewed this title.

Thanks for reading!

What an amazing instalment.

We left Lily being asked by the beautician mermaid Layla to attend to the mermaid King who had seemingly been poisoned, who would poison him and why? Can Lily save him, she doesn't have long and their seems to be more going on on the Isle but what exactly is happening?

A coordinated attack from land sea and air, what could that possibly mean? Join Lily and Ranger X as they are embroiled in a major attack from The Faction, the terrorist group created and ran by Lily's father Lucian.
Lily and Ranger X must use everything and everyone they know in an effort to defeat the group, they seem to have some inside help but who is it and can they be trusted?
Can Ranger X and Lily have the happy ending they deserve?

wow! This is such a rollercoaster, Gina Lamanna knows how to tell a tale. This has been such a great series, each book has ratcheted up the tension and the drama. It has been a rollercoaster for sure, she took Lily from the humble beginnings of a human who new nothing about magic, Witches and the paranormal to being the Mixologist, an almost omnipotent witch who has created cocktails for all kinds of escapades, this series along with The Hex files have been some of my favourites to read and they come highly recommended.

the tears were real!

***I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review

Lily is summoned to the mermaid castle to tend to the king of the mermaids, when he is poisoned. Time is of the essence, and she knows she doesn't have long to figure out an antidote if there is a chance she can save his life. But before she can even get started on that she discovers that isn't the only pressing issue. The Faction is planning to launch a three-prong attack against The Isle, and Lily may be the only one who can save it and everyone who lives there.
I am a huge fan of this series, and this one was just as exciting and nerve-wrecking as the others. I read it in pretty much one siting, because I didn't want to put it down. I love the setting (tropical island with all things magical on it), and I love all of the characters. Lily, the mixologist, is fearless and smart and someone you would love to be best friends with. If you are a fan of fantasy fiction, then you will love this series. I suggest starting at book 1, just because you don't want to miss a single thing. Besides, I know that if you read one, you will want to read the rest of them, so you might as well, right?

You will laugh, you will cry and you will keep turning pages on the edge of your seat until the end!
Another winner in an incredible series! Lily is faced with the biggest and most dangerous crisis ever faced on the Isles she would ever have to encounter! This could mean the end of the Isles and everyone she cares about. We begin with Lily trying to save the mermaid King who was apparently poisoned. But what is happening? The Faction, the evil terror group led by Lily's evil father, Lucien who commands armies who use black magic is attacking the Isles on all fronts, land, air and sea. Can Lily and Ranger X, her love, and all her family and friends from a cross-over series (that is incredible as well) save the Isles and destroy the Faction? Is there a mole on the Isles helping the Faction be successful? What can they do? This is the last book in this series sadly enough, but is it the end of the Isles. An edge of your seat thrilling ride, you just won't be able to put it down! Gina LaManna is one of my favorite authors and every series she writes is amazing. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

4.5 Stars - This is a yet another fabulous journey into the fantasical world of magic and adventure.

Yet again Lily (The Mixologist) needs to find a way to help The Isle and all the citizens, this time including those underwater, as the Mermaid King has been poisoned. However, it soon becomes clear that this is part of the on-going bigger issues with The Faction who are out to disrupt magic and the Isle so that they can prevail over the rest of us mere humans!

A coordinated attack from land sea and air mean that Lily and Ranger X as yet again the middle of mayhem and need to help find a way through the turmoil... and will need to continue to postpone their wedding and their happy ever after until the Isle is safe once more.

This is yet another rollercoaster of a book, full of intrigue, tension, drama and romance. I highly recommend this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

What an eventful story. I'll start by saying you really do need to read the previous books to really understand everything that is going on. (At least the last few.) There are some characters from other series' by the same author, who make guest appearances, but you do not need to be too familiar with them to follow along. This book is a high point in the series. When everything comes to friction with the Fraction (the bad guys.) It affects everyone in the magical world, and not just on The Isle... hence the guest appearances from those other characters. There are also a few more emotional moments. A tear or two may be shed while reading. (Which is not a common occurrence with the series.) Lily (the Protagonist) is running ragged trying to find ways to help save them all. All on a very limited timeline. We also get a tiny look at Ranger X (Lily's boyfriend and head of the Ranger organization,) in a new light that brings a little humor. ;) All the familiar faces are there in some capacity. Some are more involved than others. It's a busy story with lots happening. No major violence is written, though we know things are happening in the background. It is clean as far as sexual content. Safe for teens and up. It's written strictly from Lily's POV.

Mermaid Mimosa

Lily Locke is back at her best. I love how she researches the back story of every situation before she begins to prepare a potion. It shows her intelligence and understanding of what she needs to make the correct potion. Lily has a good heart and will do whatever it takes to protect her magical community. She comes through not only for the mermaid community but also for the entire magical world. Gina LaManna knows her audience and knows how to keep them wanting to read more of her books. There’s adventure, mystery, magic, humor and romance all tied neatly together in one package. If you just want a fun book to escape with, this is one of those enjoyable reads that just makes you feel better about the world.

Love this series!!!!

I absolutely love this series! Lily, Ranger X, and every single other character are beautifully written and feel like friends and family of my own now. I absolutely cannot stress enough that I need more! I hope that Lily's adventures continue. After that ending I need more!!!! I need the quilter's prophecy to come true and the blanket she presented Lily with a few books back to be put to use. I can't wait for the next chapter for Lily and X. Gina is a fantastic writer and I thank you for creating and sharing this wonderful book series with us. Keep up the fantastic work!

Even better than expected.

While waiting for this book, I knew it was going to be good but i didnt expect it to be THIS good. I read it in one sitting. I love this series (and the other series Gina LaManna has penned) but I think this book is my favourite in the series so far. I am glad many different stories were wrapped up and cant wait to see which path the main characters take next. If you are looking for a good fantasy series, the Mixology series is a definite must read. Way to go, Gina LaManna!!

I LOVE this series! I loved this book, the cover is beautiful. The name is perfect! A little bit of every thing mystical, this 8th book ties up several ends but not the end of the series! Thank you! I love Ranger X and Lily.

Anyways... Lily is a Mixologist, recruited to help save the Mermaid King who has poisoned. Nothing below sea has helped. Having zero knowledge about the sea ways, she digs in. Then an anonymous notes shoes up about The Faction...

I HIGHLY suggest reading this series. All available on Kindle Unlimited!! Definitely start with #1

With a big sigh I closed this book.

Lily is urged to help the King of the mermaids after he is poisoned. But soon it seems this is only the start of several incidents that can lead to only one conclusion: the Island is under attack... How can Lily, Ranger X and all the others save the Island, its inhabitants but also the magical world?

Another original read with a very satisfying and romantic ending. But this is not the end of the series, the author assured her fans. So we can look forward to more adventures on The Isle.

Will Lily Ever Marry Ranger X?

Five stars seems so meeger for this book's rating. Each book I read by Gina seems to out do the last one. And it's happened again. Lily and Ranger and all the other characters are so alive and so full with the story line, it makes it difficult to put the book down. And of course, we can't forget the Faction. The evil group of beings out to take over the world. I'm not a spoiler alert person. Meaning I refuse to give anything away. But, I will say this, you will love this book!

Amazing!

Best yet! Wrapped up so many things in this book but yet left you with wanting more! Can't wait to see what happens next and how characters are combined in the coming books or new series. Was surprised multiple times throughout and was proven wrong many times! Loved the way all the situations were handled. Couldn't put it down one I started. I voluntarily received and read an ARC for an honest review.

Finally done with the series!

Bring in the dragon! It all worked! I thought for just a moment that Lily might find out that Liam was her real father since he and Delilah had a few nights. Oh well it all worked out. I am a little confused about how mad Lucian was when his wife was killed. He left her while she was alive, faked the fire, and joined the Faction. Delilah lived three more years so I don’t understand the vengeance about her death????

A wonderful addition to this series. This one wasn't as dark as the last, which I was glad. Will be interesting to see where Ms LaManna take it from here.

Warning: Make sure to have tissues when you get towards the last 5 or 6 chapters. Happy or sad tears I won't tell. Just don't be like me and read them at work. lol

Such attention to detail creates epic fantasy lands that you cannot put the book down. Lily is tasked with her biggest challenges yet. She must try and save the Mermaid King, who has been mysteriouly poisoned . All the while, the Faction launches it's attack. How can Lily and friends save all that they hold dear?

Such an amazing series and character development. I just cannot get enough!

Mermaids, dragons, and the Faction-oh, my! Lily is facing the Faction and must race against time to save everything as she knows it. Friends from the Sixth Borough pitch in to help. Meanwhile, her dad is in the picture again bringing some conflicted feelings for Lily. With an ending you won’t want to miss! I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Mermaid Mimosa

An exciting, wonderful and fitting end to what has been a great series. For those that like to try and figure out the mind of a good Author, laugh and possibly even shed a tear or two over the hurdles they have to navigate, then I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I have .

Exciting times...

That was an exciting, magical adventure, with a beautiful ending that thrilled my heart to bursting with love.

I loved the nail-biting moments wondering how it was all going to work out, and I loved everyone pitching in to make it all happen.
This has been a wonderfully magical series.

Fantastic series!

Every book in this series was uniquely different. But, with the same characters we've come to know, love and watch grow. I find myself truly hoping this island really does exist somewhere and just a bit sad I'll never sit alongside the beach with all these crazy characters and relax with a cool drink in my hand. Fantastic series!

Tears for a great ending

I really hope this isn’t truly the end. Liam is one of my favs and I love how he, as usual, saves the day in more ways than one. I loved how Lucien also redeemed himself and thought that was a great end to his part of the story. This book had so much going on yet it flowed seamlessly into a beautiful HEA for our Mixologist Lily. Great story!!

Mermaid Mimosa Book 8 of The Magic & Mixology Series

I’m not sure if this series is continuing, but I certainly hope so! If not what an ending! Gina sucks you into the story and keeps you wrapped tight up until the very end. This is a must read series, but they need to be read in order. Enjoy!

Fantastic paranormal read

With the Faction enacting their final plan it’s up to Lily and all the family and Rangers to put a stop to it.

The mermaid king has been poisoned. Can she save him in time?

And just when will Ranger X and Lily walk down the aisle?

It’s the one we’ve been waiting for and it does not disappoint.

There is a lot going on in this story but I enjoyed every moment of it. The transition from situation to situation will make your head spin a little but that’s ok because it’s the same for the characters. It is lively and fascinating.
