Can Amanda discover the secrets behind an alien ruin? And the mysterious alien with the haunted eyes?

Amanda is happy with her life as an elementary school teacher - and making plans to expand her family. Waking up naked and alone on an alien planet is not on her schedule.

Desperate to return to Earth, she reluctantly accepts the help of the massive alien who appears out of the sands. But the more time they spend together, the more complicated her need to return becomes.

Va’rik awakens to find himself alone on the edge of an ancient desert. He is quite sure he has an important task to perform - the only problem is that he can’t quite remember what he needs to accomplish.

When he encounters a strange, beautiful female, assisting her becomes his mission. But as his memories start to return, he realizes that helping her leave is the last thing he truly wants.

Can Va’rik keep his vow to Amanda, even if it means the future of his race - and his own happiness - are in jeopardy?

Each book in the Exposed to the Elements series can be read as a standalone romance; however, this book contains references to previous characters and events in the series and may best be enjoyed in order. This sweet and steamy romance is intended for mature audiences only.

Not my favorite in the series, but I do hope we get to see more books in this world. I was very touched by the interactions with La'tok'at'bron, and I'm very glad these books introduced me to Honey Phillips

This is the last book in the series. It’s about one of the scientists that play a big part in the overall story.
Va‘rik is getting his own mate in this story. Her name is Amanda. Like all the other stories she wakes up naked in a place she doesn’t know. Soon after she meets Va‘rik and the decide to try getting her back home together.
The big difference in this story is that, while the other females didn’t had much that hold them on earth, Amanda was fighting to get custody for an 8 year old boy that doesn’t have it easy. Therefor she definitely wants to get back to earth even if she got feelings for Va‘rik.
I am very happy how they handelt the situation in the end.
As for just the part with Va‘rik and Amanda I have to say it was good but nothing special. I think they fell for each other too fast but I liked both characters. They were cute together. Also the Sex scenes are great as always.
Besides that what I really loved about this book is how the author concluded the overall story. I had a few tears in my eyes at the end. She did a fantastic job with it. I am kinde sad that it ended now but I also think it was a great end.
I definitely want to read much more of the author.

5 "Thankfulness breeds Thankfulness. 😈" Stars!

Okay. I absolutely loved this story. It gets 5 stars for being the culmination of a very fun, easy, sweet, sexy Scifi series. These stories are quick with just enough heart and heat. This one turned up the angst plus had a bittersweet epilogue that may have given me a tiny tear in my eye. Love, loved, loved start at the beginning with The Naked Alien (tho you don't have to) and enjoy! Happy reading!

Probably my new favorite in this series but the ending made me tear up with La'tok'at'bron's POV. I'm sorry to see this series end. It was fun to read about Va'rik and how he adapted to gaining a physical body. It was nice to see a bit of Amanda's story before she is put naked and alone on an alien planet. I think it was necessary to understand how she can be so torn about returning to Earth vs the previous heroines in this series. As with other stories Honey writes, this was just a fun and great to read with a bit more emotion thrown in. Definitely recommend!

This was a solid five star read! What a read! Honey saved the best for last. Amanda and Va’rik are the perfect mates. The character of Amanda really tugged at my heart strings. Va’rik inserts himself into the experiment and receives the nurturing love of a good woman. Exposed to the Elements is a fabulous series…with solid plot and well developed characters. Download and enjoy!❤️

Hero was very lovable. I teared up at the end. I did not like how things turned out for the remaining scientist.

The Strip Down de Honey Phillips Serie Exposed to the Elements libro 5

Argumento:

Ahhh, yes. It's Va'rik's turn to wake up naked and alone (and without his memory, but that part is specific to him) in a strange place. Except...he's not alone for long and the strange place isn't so strange once he starts remembering the bits and pieces of his life. He does, however, remain naked for much of his adventure.

No lie, Amanda doesn't much mind Va'rik's nakedness. I mean, it takes her a bit to not get flustered when she looks at him, but she VERY MUCH ENJOYS his physique in all it's naked glory.

That said, she also has a very good reason for returning back to Earth. Which means even though she enjoys the Va'rik display, she can't let it sway her too much. A little swaying is fine, mind you, but she still has to head back home no matter how tempting her travel companion is.

I have genuinely enjoyed this series from beginning to end and I REALLY like how it ended. That said, if FOR ANY REASON we were to get more of these unexpected pairings (although I guess the parameters that led to these couples being dropped naked into a strange place would have changed somewhat since the reason for the original experiment has been proven a success) I would be all for it.

This story drew me in RIGHT away! I have to say I absolutely loved Va'rik! I affectionately call him V. He gave me serious Ice Planet Barbarian vibes. I mean, he's purple, yummy, and has special "features." (Which got a bullet point in my beta notes.) Steamy! He's also the sweetest mate out there. Amanda is a strong and independent female heroine in this story. She's a teacher and about to be a foster mom when she gets whisked off to an alien planet. You will want to snuggle her new alien pet, too. There was some great humor infused in this adventure. The closing chapters and the epilogue bring a gratifying closure to this exciting science fiction experiment. If you have been enjoying this series, you will LOVE the conclusion told here! This is NOT a stand-alone, so be sure to read the other books first. FABULOUS! 5 stars

**I beta read for Honey and I absolutely LOVE it! This book was the perfect birthday present as it releases on my birthday!! :)

Poignant Ending

And thus concludes the ‘Exposed to the Elements’ series. The creator gets a chance to test the potential to mate bond with a human, but not without complications. This story had all the feels - touching family love, sweet and spicy romantic love and community. The ending is especially poignant with a centuries in the future good bye. A fantastic and well-written series.

𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖/𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒:
This was definitely the most unique story out of the series. Va'rik (his name is technically much longer) was in the previous books as one of two mysterious alien scientists that brought the human females to his planet to run the mating bond experiments with the hope of eventually saving his race. He had originally been a physical being but then, when his people were at the brink of death, he and his friend help put them asleep so that they may further research and try to save them. Both Va'rik and La'tok took more "inanimate" forms of a sort, since their bodies were dying. (I can't recall if it's mentioned what their species was, so I just put alien.) After the first four couples were a success, Va'rik decided to be placed into a new physical body as the final experiment. And that's where we start off with his and Amanda's story! I found aspects of this story sad given what Va'rik had been through, seeing the different ruins through that perspective, the time that had passed for him and the planet, etc. It had a sad sort of melancholy undertone. This was of course, like all of the other books, sweet and cute and funny. With that small bit of drama thrown in, and of course some Naked and Alone adventure time! I loved this just like the rest. It was a quick, fun, and enjoyable read. Even though it didn't affect my enjoyment of the story or my rating or review, I didn't enjoy the epilogue. Only because, as a romance reader, I don't enjoy epilogues where a lot of time has passed. Especially if it eventually passes so far that the main characters are long dead. This one did that, plus we don't see La'tok get to find happiness with a mate. Instead he is alone in the underground facility, after all the specimens of his race had been given bodies and lives again. He's the only one left. He shuts everything down and that's the end. And I found it all very depressing! Those kinds of epilogues and endings are just sad and depressing for me, which is why I don't like them. It didn't affect the story, but it left me with sadness. Which I don't like after enjoying all of the happiness! I want to end on a happy note. But like I said, it didn't affect my opinion or anything. I would've just not preferred it. Otherwise this was another great addition to the series! Honey is so great with these alien romances. I love them!

This is the last book in this series and I’m gutted, I have loved reading these books. The world building has been awesome aswell as the characters. In this book Va’rik has been placed in his new body and his memories of the experiment blocked. His perfect mate Amanda goes to sleep in her bed only to wake up in a desert with pink sand and a funny looking creature she names Hammy after the hamster in her classroom. When she stumbles upon Va’rik she doesn’t know when to trust him, they travel together to the place marked on the map and apart from being attacked by giant bird like creatures they make it to the lab, making love several times along the way. There was a mistake though and Amanda has to go back to earth, there’s a little boy in her class who is currently with an awful foster parent who she wants to foster and she can’t leave him. She does return to earth and despite having a broken heart it’s a good thing. Billy has been hit by his foster mothers.....friend and has a big bruise on his face. Amanda rings his social worker who gives her temporary custody and billy moves in with her. When she gets a knock at her door, a naked Va’rik is the last thing she expected, she pulls him into the house before anyone sees and then Va’rik blurts out that he loves her, she tells him she loves him too but he can’t stay on earth. When the door goes again is Billy’s foster mums friend and he’s come to teach her a lesson for reporting them, as he tries forcing himself into her house Va’rik snaps his arm like a twig and knocks him out. Amanda doesn’t know what to do but when Billy sees Va’rik he’s excited at the thought he might get to see and alien ship. When Va’rik asks her and Billy to return to his planet they agree, and they lived happily ever after.

Wow just wow! So framing good💖💖

Well this series has come to end an at least for now. I have to say I've loved each book in the series. Each lead male has been different , sexy protective and all around fabulous! Each female from earth has been strong, sassy and so much fun to read about. Both just want acceptance and love . This last book is Va’rik's story. He is one of the last of his kind he and his fellow scientist They have been looking for a way to save what is left of their race for centuries . They discovered a little backwoods planet earth and have been running experiments trying to I thought and solidify the Mate bond and they've been unbelievably successful. So much so that Va’dumb as decided he too wants mate. They create a body for him and he's matched with Amanda a lovely school teacher who just wants to be loved and have children. She also wants to adopt one of her students who is suffering in foster care. When Amanda comes to naked all she can think about is getting back to earth and the little boy she left behind. She has no time for calling in love until she meets Va’rik. The way he treats her is better than anyone ever had before. As they work their way back to The lab they fall in love . Amanda must make a decision on whether to leave or stay. So much happens once the misunderstandings are taken care of love conquers all and then we get a glimpse into the future. Many generations later. All of these books end with happy love filled couples and so does this one, but there is even more that will leave you with a bit of wistful sorrow in your heart but also with a bit of hope that it won't be the last story we see from this fabulous world! Highly recommend💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

From the beginning of the "Exposed to the Elements" series, Ms. Phillips plucked us from our safe, gentle expectations of an alien romance and threw us into the wild. With each of these books we were put into survivalist mode right along with the heroines of the story and forced to trust in the buff aliens as we found our way back to Earth.

As the gripping conclusion to the entire series, "The Strip Down," takes you on a dual-adventure of what would you sacrifice for a family. Each page tugs at your heartstrings. Twists in the plot along with excellent character development have you switching your loyalty for whether or not you want to stay or go home almost as simultaneously as the heroine, Amanda as she decides if she can trust Va'rik or not.

I have now read the entire series and devoured the books. I highly recommend picking up this book along with the entire series to add to your shelf. You will not be disappointed. Ms. Phillips ticks all the boxes in a great alien romance: spunky heroine, well-developed plots, multi-dimensional characters, buff attentive alien, love in multiple forms, and just enough steam to keep you turning the pages.

I liked the four earlier books in this series better.

This book was very different from the previous books and was a bit depressing. First, there is a sad plotline where she is a teacher on Earth and has a little boy in her class with a bad foster parent who steals his stuff (like a winter jacket) and gives it to her son instead.

Then more sad plotlines because the hero's people were dying out and we had to learn all about that.

SPOIELR SPIOLER SPOIELR SPOILER

At the end, she brings back the foster kid to this new planet and adopts him and has two daughters with the alien. However, then the author tells us many generations later after all the heroes and heroines from the 5 books have had kids and died of old age, the last original alien decides he didn't want a mate and family so he just turns himself off and dies. He is a brain transferred from his old alien body. He could have put himself in a new body but decided to die instead. His work was done and his people survived and had kids and lived on.

WHAT A DOWNER. This is a romance novel I don't want to read about how all of the couples are dead and gone now and this guy decides to die too.

I recommend the earlier 4 books instead.

Book 5:

This was way more emotional then I thought it would be. I did struggle a little with Amanda. She was not a bad character, but the first half of the book made me want to smack her. The way she constantly acted like she was too good for someone to care about her because of her mother’s “strong teachings” got very frustrating. I think her reasons were fine, but I wanted her to stop being such an idiot. Honestly, Va’rik was almost too good for her at some points. Speaking of Va’rik, goodness I loved him. I loved how innocent he was and how protective. I was so excited he got a book and loved the interactions between him and his fellow scientist. Billy was a wonderful addition. I really do enjoy the built in family trope. The end was so bittersweet. Part of me wished we had gotten to see the next generation of these characters more fully but I’m glad we got to see some of their future. Including Billy getting his own mate in the form of Janet and Sabrost’s daughter. I nearly cried when I got to the final page. It was such an emotional ending, but at the same time a satisfying one. Really good story.

Leading with your heart instead of your mind

I loved Va’rik and Amanda’s sci-fi alien romance series with a side of kidnapping and social experiment. It was filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love and there was another cute alien pet. I especially loved that the experimenter was now one of the subjects in this story. Amanda is a human and an elementary teacher. She has no family but hopes to begin fostering one of her students soon. Because she was raised by a single mom she is fiercely independent. Va’rik is an alien who consciousness has been preserved for millennia but he is in a physical body with no knowledge of his society’s past or the experiments to restart their race. There is attraction and chemistry between Va’rik and Amanda but they’ll have to deal with their painful pasts, obligations, fears, and Va’rik’s partial amnesia in order to get their HEA. While this could be read as a standalone, to get the most enjoyment out of the story, the series should be read in order. Despite being short, the story was well written, the characters had dimension and the storyline was engaging. I will miss this series.

So thrilling!
Amanda is a sweet young woman, a teacher, dismayed by neglect of children. What a shock to find herself in an odd world - bare as can be.
Va’rik’at’char (Va’rik), in a new form, and stripped, is lacking control and memories. I adore these two! When they meet, Amanda is shy, Va’rik is not. There is an intriguing conversation between the two concerning the types (and possible placement) of kisses. Deliciously humorous, it soon becomes a way to flirt!
Amanda has issues to work out before relationships can go very far, though. So many things change on their trek to their destination. I was thrilled with the outcome of their story, and the finale of the series. I’m sure you’ll appreciate all the surprises along the way as I did. Well written, heartwarming, and highly enjoyable. You won’t want to miss it!

The Exposed to the Elements has been a fun series. Amanda is a elementary school teacher who is alone and is looking to become a foster mother. Va’rik feels that he has an important task to do. This is the last book of the series; it was a fun series to read.
Va’rik and Amanda were perfect for each other, each was the others half, perfect mates. But Amanda had a pull to return to earth as she had Billy. Va’rik had chosen to participate in the experiment as he was lonely and when they came together the sparks did fly.
The journey to the lab only pulled the two closer together and the returning to earth for Billy’s sake was always present.
This was the conclusion about the experiment and pull it all together. it was a fun read as always.

👽 “You are my mate, and I never want to be parted from you again.”
~~~
Amanda is a strong and independent woman. I loved how sweet and caring she was.
Va’rik is such a sweet, innocent but fierce and protective male. And he knows what he wants from the moment he sees Amanda.
I adored the development of their relationship. They had a bumpy ride towards love but they were so cute together and their chemistry - so great and steamy. A perfect match. Oh, and what great ways to say “Thank you” they had...
Also, I wanted to cuddle Hammy so much!
In addition, the epilogue was a wonderful and emotional closure to this exciting science experiment.
Overall, the story is a magnificent finale to such an awesome series and I loved every page of it!
Ultimate series ender
This book is the ultimate series ender. We find out what happened with the scientists and their species in the past.
Amanda is brought to the planet and meets Va'rik. Va'rik is now in a new body and his memories about the experiments are hidden.
The big problem though is that there is a child back on Earth. Billy is in foster care and isn't treated well. Amanda is preparing to take over his care when she is taken. So no matter what occurs she must return to Earth.
I loved the epilogue and extended epilogue. The ending is kind-of bittersweet but this series would definitely be one that could be reread over and over again.
I also wouldn't turn away any other books written in this world if the author was so inclined.
it’s safe to say this is a new series of mine that i could easily see myself rereading bc it was so wholesome and sexy and fun !! i’m honestly so upset it’s over and hope honey phillips write more in this world bc i think the premise of an experiment to try to save a species from extinction was so clever!
i also loved the acknowledgement of adopted children being just as important as biological children in this novel. while reading, i was afraid that the heroine might give up on her child at home for the hero or “true love” but the ending was PERFECT !!!! (and also that epilogue with la’tok’at’bron may have made me shed a tear or two 🥺)
if you love ruby dixon or sci fi romance in genes and haven’t read this series please fix that asap !!
Lowered barriers naked.
Physical and emotional barriers we all have them. We all hide behind them. Sometimes the causes for their erection as well as the barrier itself are invisible to all but the individual using them for protection against further hurt. This series of stories showcases experiments to see if a love bond is enough to destroy the different types of barriers and produce a thriving society. I wish book 5 had a different ending . But all of the love stories are totally believable and emotionally captivating. I think they are best if read in sequence especially to get the most out of book5 Strip down.
Why do you think all the females fall in love with a pink animal pet?
What an ending to this series. Amanda wakes in a different world naked. She is a school teacher on Earth and upset to be away from her children there. Va'rik is also stripped and can't remember his memory. Love these two as Amanda is shy at being naked and Va'rik isn't. The interaction between these two is so cute. (Especially about kiss placement). I loved hearing about some of the other characters from previous stories. This is another intriguing, sweet, steamy story from one of my go to authors. Can't wait till the next series starts. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A lovely addition to the series! This whole group of books was fun to read, but I think I enjoyed the simplicity of this one. Amanda was a great pairing for Va'rak but throughout the story, there was an air of impending heartache. Not to give the story away, but I knew there'd be a happy ending, lol, romance, duh, lol, but the road to get there was bumpy. I loved the brevity of the words and the fullness of the emotional engagement, the slight peril, and the detailed description of the petals, lol! Honey Phillips just writes books that I love to read, and this one only proves that fact again.
