Connor Morrissey is going through his transition too soon. He's a lion shifter and the transition from cub to full grown adult lion shifter is hard. He feels out of control until Tiger-girl's touch calms him enough not to be completely out of control. Tiger-girl is Connor's mate but he tries to fight the pull towards her because he's afraid of his strength and doesn't want to hurt her. But she's not afraid of him.

When Connor is kidnapped she goes along because she can do nothing else as his mate. Their family takes action when they realize what's happened and rescues them but now they know something fishy is going on. When danger comes for them again, they have each other to lean on but a new danger appears and a new storyline is unveiled in this series. I'm completely excited to see where this will go in the next books.

I was on the edge of my seat when the backstory of Connor and Tiger-girls mom's were revealed. The gifts they both inherited from their mother's as well as Connor from his father's side was mind blowing and I don't use that phrase lightly. They both come out of this stronger and the series just got even more exciting. I've been reading this series for years and the books and storyline just gets better and better. You have to read this series if you like shifters, wonderful world building and great storylines.

Disappointed

After following the Shifters Unbound series for years, knowing Tigers girl's story was coming was beyond exciting. However, barely quarter of the way in I was seriously doubting the same author who wrote some of the most imaginative and unique shifter books wrote this one. The writing is stilted, there is little to distinguish character voices from each other. The dialogue comes across forced and cliche, the plot quite simply implausible and totally out of context to virtually everything that had gone before in the previous 13 books. What a terrible waste of amazing characters I had grown to love and had eagerly awaited their continued stories. Yes, I'll most likely read the next installment, in a year or two when ever it may be published, I can only hope Jennifer Ashley will go back and reread her own books and get reacquainted with the actual characters and universe she created.

What an exquisitely written book 💝 Everything was superbly well-balanced ➡️ romantic (steamy) love scenes ~ family love ~ community love/sacrifice ~ fierce fight scenes where good guys won & won some more ~ heart breaking backstories of Connor and Tiger-girl's mothers ~ and yes ~ Gorgeous Happy Ending 💘

Connor and Tiger-girl were so well matched as a couple. Both had staggering powers that they could wield to dominate the feared Fae as well as the 'Too Powerful to Be Believed Tuil Erdannan!' The mighty power Connor inherited through his mother's blood line as well as from his father's~ totally blew me away!

But Tiger-girl's power was even more incredible! She inherited her father's "Search & Rescue Power" with some additional/inexplicable magic on how to use the Tuil Erdannan's magical devices against them! What she could do was jaw-dropping amazing!

Loved how all the previous beloved shifters as well as non-shifters of mine showed up and lighted up the story! In the past, I was tortured by how they were abused and were often made losers! That didn't happen here! Connor and Tiger-girl together took care of the villains brilliantly!

In short, I loved everything about this book! I could share heartbreaking ~ romantic ~ fight ~ adorable ~ entertaining ~ and many more scenes! However, here's what I've chosen:

“Holy crap,” Connor said softly. “We’re in Ireland.”

“Looks that way,” Ben said. He gestured to a sign that was printed in English letters and also in a language Tiger-girl didn't know . . .

"Well, damn . . . I think we came a bit farther than you meant to." . . .

3.5 stars - ok

This was more on the OK side, lead Connor has been a long time side character as a 'kid' related to past leading men. With his transition to adult he just isn't as fun and being instantly so uber powerful didn't help help that. As to our leading lady, Tiger Girl, ( I cringed reading that name) she was fine but her otherness also contributed to the stiltedness of the story. And finally, I am not fond of the Fae plots. So all this added up to make it not bad but not great either.

Read and loved Tiger's Daughter... a sweet book with sweet MC's.... not angsty... but with all the Morrissey's and Tiger... Ronan, Zander and Ben.. and thankfully no other shiftertown stories.. tired of Kendric and company and Kenzie.. just no.
Missed Reid though.

This is a sweet story.. for those who love the series... the cast of characters.. etc.

Otherwise .. it had a very thin plot and really not much character development for the two MCs ( but ..I don't know.. personally I think the story suited them.. 🤷‍♀️ as they have consistently been who they are throughput the series .. and not every character needs to have angsty backstory.. esp if we already are familiar with the MCs story and angst and their slow growth throughout , I suppose ) .. a very slight push to the overall arc story..

Hmm.. but I think .. the villain who was not a villain and his group.. has possibilities.. so she did do something there... and the plot did thicken a bit here...

But I did enjoy it , I did read it in one sitting.. not gripping maybe but it was attention holding, at least it did mine .. and I loved visiting the characters and Liams shiftertown with no shiftertown crossovers..

A sweet bite.

Just knowing this one was about Connor and Tiger-girl made me a bit giddy. Connor the goofy boy who's always been around and Tiger-girl, the one who deserves it all for what she had been through. I really loved that they are matched as mates. You would think things would be easy for them, sadly that was not the case. Some old family history came back after Connor and those awful people that hurt Tiger-girl were after her again. The two together were stronger as a pair and easily did what the needed to. It made the ending mating ceremony all the sweeter, these two deserved all the happiness they can find.

*Possible Spoilers* I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book and I devoured it within a day. Tiger's Daughter has everything I have come to expect out of a Jennifer Ashley shifter book. There is action, fae, humor, strong women and the men that support them, romance (some spice!), and many sexy alpha shifters!

Finally, FINALLY, Connor Morrissey is transitioning! I have been following this book series for years, so to come back to the OG Shiftertown, surrounded by all the characters I have come to love while reading the series, it's felt like coming home. Jennifer Ashley writes her characters in a way that makes them feel very 3D and real to me. Because of that I felt like I was celebrating right alongside Connor and the Morrissey family in this book. I was so happy to see Connor finally find someone perfect for him. I won't say much more, but the pairing is perfect. Their interactions are perfect. How they handle what gets thrown at them....perfect!

Now, not to be pushy, but....I'm ready for the next Shiftertown book to be written :)

This book was a surprise, because I feel it was very poorly and simplistically written, almost as though it was not written by Jennifer at all, but someone who was trying to imitate her w/o any gift for writing! This is the 14th book of an ongoing series, yet was written as though the reader had no idea of the background of the continuing story of human/animal shifters, the fae who created them, the bureau who tries to regulate and control them, etc. I read through to the end, because I really like the main characters, Connor & Tiger-Girl, and wanted to see how their story worked out; but it was difficult because the writing was tedious and I spent a lot of time skimming over to get to what "meat" there was. Jennifer may want to steer away from this series, as I think she is no longer giving it her best; she is an excellent writer, her Mackenzie series is fabulous! Too bad for this series, as it started out great...

Tiger’s Daughter is book 14 in the Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley. This book focuses on Connor Morrissey and Tiger-girl. Connor has been around from book one, he has always been head-strong and ignored the rules. It is one of the many things I have loved about him. I have loved watching him grow up to be who he is today and loved even more the fact that he got such an amazing mate. Tiger-girl hasn’t been around very long, but I have loved her from the first time I met her. She is super strong, smart, and thoughtful. She is perfect for Connor. To read their love story totally brought me back to my teenage years and what it was like falling for someone. Their story is a fast-paced story that brings both of their pasts to light and helps Connor know more about who he truly is. There seems to be a new enemy in town, or maybe they are finally seeing what is going on in Faerie and how its going to affect the shifters in this world. Not only are these two fighting for their lives, but they are also fighting for both the shifter and human races and its just getting more and more interesting to see where this story line goes. I do wish it was a bit longer, and I do wish tiger-girl got a real name (although I can see why she didn’t, I have no clue what it would be other than Tiger-girl. Regular women names just don’t fit LOL) but other than that, Jennifer delivered a great read that I just didn’t want to put down and wish it didn’t end.

When you read a story by Jennifer Ashley it stays with you long after you have read the last page and Tiger’s Daughter is know different.

He is the son of the Shifter Town leader, powerful, defiant, and making his transition into a fully adult Shifter.

She is strong, smart, resilient and shares many of the unique gift of her father

Connor and Tiger-girl are well suited, their natures and personalities strengthen and compliment the other. The characters are compelling, the surrounding characters are dynamic, the story is well written and delivered brilliantly.

Jennifer Ashley is in my opinion one of the best paranormal romance authors and if you haven’t read her books you are truly missing out on something magical and extraordinary.

I can't begin to tell you how much I hated this book. I feel cheated and wish I had not spent good money on this.

Connor could not have been more annoying if he tried. He was such a dick and I quickly tired of hearing his inner monologue on how he thought he could "beat" other shifters in a fight, especially his uncle Liam and Grandfather Dylan. I really wanted someone (ANYONE) to fight him and put him in his place.

I also don't understand why we have to keep calling Tiger Girl this. I'm not a feminist but damn, doesn't the poor girl deserve her own name? Tiger is her father. Tiger Girl just sounds ridiculous and juvenile. And I did not buy into her infatuation with Connor AT ALL.

I have liked Ashley's previous Shifter Unbound stories (some more than others) but if this book is where we're at now, I'm done with this series.

Ok so we knew this story was coming, for a long time, but we thought for sure that Connor had some more growing up to do before he was ready for his mate, but I guess his heritage pushed his transition up a little bit faster than we ever could have guessed. I am a huge fan of this series and have been looking forward to Connor hitting his transition and finding his mate for a while now, though for those that follow along we have suspected who his mate was for a while Jennifer Ashley has a way of weaving her couples together and making their lives not just complicated but dangerously adventurous as well and she is definitely one off my favorite author when it comes to shifter stories. Connor is on the brink, not expecting his transition to hit him so young, but when it does oh boy look out. His family is not prepared for this changes he is about to undergo, but the female that has been waiting for him is ready and willing. Tiger-girl has known that Connor was hers since the moment she met him and being near him as she went through her own transition, but knowing that she couldn’t be with him since he was still a cub about drove her crazy, but know it is their time. Connor is determined to keep Tiger-girl safe from him and his dangerous desires, but when she and their enemies put her in front of him again and again there is only so much resisting her can do. But while they are dealing with the sudden change in their relationship there is a deadly enemy out to capture Connor and use him for their own lethal ends and Tiger-girl will do whatever it takes to protect her mate. Determined to keep one another and their families’ safe, Connor and Tiger-girl take on their foes together with some old friends and prove that age isn’t always the determining factor in a fighter’s ability to win and their dedication to defeating the enemy will not allow them to fail. I LOVED every second of watching Connor fall under Tiger-girl’s spell and wouldn’t have missed this story for anything. Tiger-girl has had such a strange life and knows that she ill only ever have a chance to be normal with Connor and the family they can have together. She is protective of her family and cubs, loving and sweet, and smart-as-a-whip in any situation, but the greatest weapon she has is her ability to make others underestimate her. I loved seeing her working with Connor to defeat their enemies proving they were definitely always meant to work together side-by-side. Connor has some issues for sure as he works through his transition drama, but once he accepts that only with Tiger-girl by his side will be come out with his sanity intact, everything seems to move smoothly for him. His strength, powers, and love for those in his circle make him an ultimate alpha, but he also knows that he isn’t ready for leadership so that level of intelligence and self-awareness made him interesting to get to know. I loved watching him deal with his past pains and learning more about himself as he asked questions he’d hid from most of his life, but finally had the strength to face with Tiger-girl by his side. The heat between these two is off the charts from the beginning when Connor comes into his pheromones and once they begin to explore that attraction it explodes like Vesuvius. I am looking forward to more in the series for sure, but to be honest if it were to end here with Connor’s story I feel like Jennifer did the series justice with this one as a finale because it was AWESOME!

I don’t care how many books are in this series. I love every one of these books.

Connor Morrissey was meant to be. He realizes his birthright during his transition.

Tiger-girl hadn’t told anyone, least of all Connor, that he was her mate. Together there going to find out why everyone is after him.

With help from lots of family and friends.

“What’s up, Buttercup?” Tiger-girl didn’t know why he addressed her as a flower, but she liked that he gave her fond names.

The next generation come of age.

We first met Connor as a cub in Pride Mates and there began the love of all men Morrissey. The book begins with Connor starting his transition - the time where shifters transition from cubs to adults. As an adult he can now find his mate, and Tiger-girl is that person. Of course, this is not a simple love story. There is a lot of tension and danger brought to you by the evil Fae. Through them we find out how special Connor and Tiger-girl both are. Connor and Tiger-girl's love story is so natural - they have been such good friends it just flows beautifully. What is also nice is we learn some more background of Connor's ancestry. Connor has always been a favorite and any story that has Tiger in it, is an awesome story.

While this is a great story, it is best read after reading at least the stories with Connor's uncles (book #1 and book #2) and Tiger's story (book #5). Of course, you should really read the whole series, as the world building is phenomenal.

Thank you Jennifer Ashley for the privilege of reading and reviewing your newest book.

I liked Tiger-Girl and I liked Connor, but I didn't necessarily love their story. After 14 books, it was interesting to see a new element pop up in the plot, but the entire story was kind of thin.

I also didn't love that Tiger-Girl didn't choose a name for herself. There's a part where she's kind of embarrassed to introduce herself as "Tiger-Girl", so I thought for sure she'd choose something after they were mated.

Lots of mean guys grabbing the shifters, but the 'special' h uses her skills to overcome them along with her mate. Sweet couple, but the series has many characters but I dislike them all being mentioned in the latest books. It spoiled the flow of the story and detracted from the plot. A sweet couple get their HEA but it was lost in the vast conversations and thoughts between too many people.

COMMENTS/NOTES: I've been waiting for Connor to come into manhood. He's been a cub throughout this series, now he's a dominant lion. I liked that he made his own choices, even if they went against his family. Loved the chemistry between him and Tiger-girl. They have always been best friends, and it naturally became more. I was afraid of Tiger's reaction, but he seemed fine w/ everything. Connor knows if he steps out line, Tiger is on him. Not one of my favorites, but another good pairing.

My Review:

Tiger's Daughter is a story that the moment that I saw this on the shelf from my local library, I knew that I had to read it. So I definitely grabbed this one up here. Tiger is one of my favorite characters in the series so I definitely wanted to read any book that connects to him. This story features the love match between Connor and Tiger's daughter. And what a powerful match that they made. I really felt like this story was so well done. It kept me on edge and the plot was very well crafter. The characters just have this connection to each other that is powerful. I especially adored our heroine. Even though she has powerful abilities and can kick ass when she needs to ....she can also be so nurturing and loving as well. She stands by her mate and helps him through his transition but she also is fierce in protecting him but not in a overbearing feminist way at all. She is such a well balanced character that I couldn't get enough of in this one. I also was so intrigued to see where the author would take this story and some breadcrumbs of some serial plot gets dropped I was over in the moon in love with that. Jennifer Ashley really crafts such beautiful stories and I was on board completely with this here.

What seemed to impress me the most about this story was seeing how well the heroine stands by her man. She is also the perfect match for Connor especially once everything is revealed about his heritage, you really see he would need a mate that would be just as strong if not more powerful than he is and what a team they will make. We also have the aspects of Connor and Tiger's Daughter knowing each other for years. So they have this solid friendship that is in the foundation of their relationship and they both know they are each other's mates but it isn't until Connor's transition that their relationship goes from platonic to fiercely passionate. There is such positive flow in their bond to each other. But also Connor has ALWAYS had such a close connection to Tiger as well and Tiger is very accepting of their mating. In fact, he practically encourages it even knowing what he may be losing, he has always known they were meant to be together. I loved that so deeply.

Overall I had a charming time with "Tiger's Daughter" and I can't wait to see more of this series and get caught up on these books because these shifter romances are just FUN!!

I don't know about you but I've been waiting for this story for what seems like forever. Okay, I've been waiting for Connor's story for what seems like forever. Tiger girl is a newer character in the shifter series.

You meet Conner early on in the series and fall for him. You get to watch him grow up thought-out the books and become a man. I know in this shifter story he didn't become a man till his story but you know what I mean. He's now in the shifter's world considered a man.

Like most of her books, Tiger's Daughter starts out with a bit of action with Conner becoming a man and then being taken. Poor Tiger girl has spent most of her life being treated badly now she has to show those who will treat her badly again where she is to save her mate.

So much happens in this story that is important to the series. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story. I spent it either being worried for my shifters or cheering them on. I believe Tiger's Daughter is important to the series as he tells us a little bit more of what's bad out there. It gives you those moments of "I get it now" and causes you to want more.

You'll love both Connor and Tiger Girl and what they can be together. They are strong on their own but together they are a force. This was the perfect way to enjoy their story.

Yes, you can read it as a standalone but I would go back to the beginning and really get a feel for how badly the shifters have been treated by both humans and fey. The perfect series to enjoy your summer with.

“Apparently, the father gives his daughter ice cream, and he comforts hers.” Tiger reached across the table and patted Tiger-girl's shoulder. “There, there.”(pág.144)

The couple: Connor and Tiger-girl

Romance trope: shifters
Series: Shifters Unbound
Length: 324 pages

Plot: Connor has known that Tiger-girl was special to him ever since he was part of the group that rescued her from the lab where she was being held. She felt the same about him, but she went through her Transition first so she had to wait for him to catch up. Now he's going through his Transition and they can finally acknowledge each other as mates, but of course there's a new threat on the horizon: Shifter Bureau and the Fae are coming for them - not just shifters, but Connor specifically. They need to figure out what's so special about him so that they can neutralize the threat. Their happiness depends on it.

Commentary: What a sweet young couple - and they were sweet! Tiger-girl is so like her father. She knows not just what she wants, but what will be. She's certain of nearly everything (even if some things confuse her at times). Connor lacks the fierceness of his uncles and granddad, but that's to be expected, given his age. He'll get there. I love the way both of them love the cubs in their Shiftertown so much and how protective they are of them and each other. I'm looking forward to seeing them mature as the series goes on.

Previous book in the series: The Last Warrior
Next book in the series: Bear Facts: Shifters Unbound

Another disappointment and for me the end of this series. Jennifer had a wonderful opportunity, which she unfortunately missed, to play with the younger generation of characters, to use great characters for playful and elaborate scenes, instead of generic repetitions of scenes, boring reactions and unnecessary adding super power to a young couple (you don't know who became more indestructible Connor or Tiger-girl) Honestly, the name Tiger-girl seems too stupid and unimaginative, I expected her to choose a name, how she started Jennifer will probably call the baby Tiger-baby. For example, it would be more interesting for me that she continued this story as she started it in the last book, a little humor, a little action, a lot of events and adventures during the growing up and maturing of these two young characters, various situations during the development of their relationship and relationship with other characters ..... instead we got this book which is actually a waste of time for the reader who is forced to read the same phrases over and over again while waiting for the moment when Jennifer will finally bring the characters back to themselves and start the story, because in this book there is no story, just a bunch of awkwardly accumulated scenes. A beautiful series that slides down with each book.

ARC REVIEW
This is the first book I have read in Ms. Ashley’s Shifters Unbound series. I requested an ARC because I am a big fan of several of her other series and I was curious to sample this series. I was not disappointed.
I read Tiger’s Daughter in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. There are a lot of characters as well as several different species: fae, shifters, humans, and sub-species within species. Keeping them straight when there are 13 previous novels was a challenge, but I was able to follow along and quickly became immersed in this fascinating tale.
Ms. Ashley has given us a novel full of both light and darkness, with a plot that moves well through its twists and turns, and a beautiful love story that grows as the story progresses. The characters are very distinct and well-drawn. Even though this was my first introduction to them, I soon got to know them well, the good easy to love, the bad easy to not. The close family ties and comradeship were very compelling, no-one left alone to hurt or fight solitary battles.
All in all, a highly satisfactory read. I will definitely be looking for more in this series.

This whole series is one of if not my personal favorites, In this book we get Conor and Tiger girl's HEA with some visits by old friends and enemies alike. This being the 14th book in this very strong series did not disappoint and was both suspenseful insightful (especially for Tiger girl and Conor) action packed and romantic. Like other mated pairs these two, Conor and Tiger Girl are equals in almost every way and 100% devoted to each other. They can also kick some serious ass and literally do so, with an ending that had me tearing up just a little at how special these two see each other and the love they share throughout the book. I truly could not put this book down as it kept me wanting to see what unfolded in their journey. You not only learn more about Conor but get a better idea of exactly who Tiger Girl is and what she has had to endure to get to where she is when the book starts. something that is only minimally touched upon in the novella where we first meet Tiger Girl and in other short intervals from other books. Can't wait to read more of the series and see how things workout for the shifters their mates cubs and friends.

I have enjoyed this series and this writer's work for many years, and I enjoyed reading this book as well. I only gave it 4 stars because of editing issues. I was up until 4AM this morning completing it, so I might have missed somethings in the end, so please forgive if I am wrong.
The first misstep I felt was indeed, the shelter in place scenes where Conner and Tiger-girl were left totally out of the loop. I understand the need to bring Ben in for the rescue, but personally think it could have been handled differently in keeping with the Shifters self protecting their own. Not leaving them out to dry when the Shifter Bureau comes a knocking.
The second was an editing issue that had Connor meeting his long lost Cousin, Brian, but then a couple paragraphs down he is refered to as a Half brother??? Unfortunately, it threw me out of the moment when this happened.
And the third was the ending and epilogues seemed to be rushed. I guess with all the unanswered questions, we will have to read the next book in the series.
This series and author is my "auto" buy, so I can whole heartedly recommend this book as being well worth your time & $$.

Connor Morrissey, a lion shifter in the Austin Shifter Town, is going through his Transition. It's hitting him hard and fast, and his instincts are telling him that he's stronger than the others. ButTiger-girl's touch calms him when he feels out of control. When he's captured, Tiger-girl goes with him. He's her mate and she can do no less, they're stronger together. When an old "enemy" reappears, will they prevail?

I absolutely love this series and this book is no exception. I really enjoyed Connor and Tiger-girl's story. The extra abilities that she has are fantastic and came in handy more than once. Learning about Connor's mother and her family was also great. The book was well-written and the characters were wonderful. I was hooked from beginning to end. The action and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat while the romance will melt your heart. I'm definitely looking forward to more from this series. I highly recommend both book and series which I think is best read in order. You should at least read the Austin Shifter Town books in order for the most enjoyment and benefit.
