In a world where cursed spirits feed on unsuspecting humans, fragments of the legendary and feared demon Ryomen Sukuna have been lost and scattered about. Fortunately, there exists a mysterious school of jujutsu sorcerers who exist to protect the precarious existence of the living from the supernatural!

After he consumes Mahito’s soul, Geto reveals part of his nefarious plan to Itadori and the others. In that moment, Choso recognizes the evil sorcerer possessing Geto's body and is filled with rage! “Non-sorcerers. Sorcerers. Cursed spirits. These are all possibilities of cursed energy in the form of human beings. And yet, there must be more to human potential. I tried to bring it forth myself. But that doesn’t work. What I can create does not exceed the bounds of my own potential.”

This volume destroyed me and any idea I had about what was going on. Which absolutely awesome.

While previous volumes had made me incredibly emotional and devastated this one just shatter my way of seeing this world completely. I swear I had about ten mental breakdowns in the space of a few minutes trying to fit everything together.

I still have no idea of what's going on.

Just halfway understanding the way all things are connecting is very satisfying, though.

The Shibuya Incident has ended and I'm equal parts relieved- that was rough - and sad, after all, that whole chaos had been going on for quite some time. It was just as heartbreaking and disastrous as I expected but, at the same time, it was a lot better than I could have imagined.

“It is the beginning once again. The world of Heian. The golden age of cursed techniques!”

One of the things that will never tire me is encountering stories in which I can look back and just see all the tiny pieces of information that I was given that I thought I understood and suddenly realized that I knew nothing of it. It's just an amazing feeling.

I was not expecting Jujutsu Kaisen to be one of those.

Boy was I wrong.

All the little details, all the build-up, and all the obviously important things in other ways, all the ways that make my brain just stop functioning. It's all a much more intricate web than I could have ever dreamt.

The incorporation of fate feels so fitting for this story, I mean, it is a story about literal magic, and makes certain paralleling moments all that much more powerful; making it start feeling magical and whimsical, even with all its darkness.

“Whether they’re superior or inferior, older brothers are role models for their younger brothers. If the older brother takes the wrong path, the younger brothers can avoid it. And if I take the right path, my little brothers can follow behind. What if you’re strong because your older brothers are weak? You asked why I’m tough. I’ll tell you. It’s because I didn’t have someone to guide me, so I kept making mistakes. Nonetheless, I must walk ahead of my little brothers. That’s why I’m strong.”

If there is one thing this volume accomplished with excellency - aside from completely blowing my mind - is making me fall absolutely in love with Choso. Something I thought night impossible.

Granted, I hardly knew his character until this last volume but, well, it happened.

Sure, I was laughing my head off most of the time he appeared because the situation was beyond bizarre but that definitely counts as me loving his character.

More than anything else, it is his philosophy that makes me be all soft towards him, honestly. I'm a sucker for interesting viewpoints.

Now, he has joined Todo in my rank of characters I most like to hear talk in this series.

“I’m putting everything – my present and future – into this! Even if it means I never swing a katana again!!”

__________

This volume destroyed me.

My brain is still mush after everything that was dropped here... my God, it was like a bombshell.

I think this has to be my favorite volume so far.

RTC.
___________

Hmm, that cover excites me, which is something I honestly thought I would never say in this manga again.

I want to wrap every remaining character in bubble wrap so I'm sure they are safe, which I know is impossible, and just see them be happy. I don't want to see them fight anymore.

The Shibuya Arc is at its end and my mind is being blown away by that fact alone. The future has to be worse but what is gonna be worse than this whole mess?

Live laugh love Choso <3

Gege never gets tired of throwing us for a loop, does he? The Shibuya Incident arc has descended this entire fandom into a spiral, and things keep getting worse for both us and poor Itadori.
As a Choso enthusiast.... the plot twist surrounding him in this volume makes me ecstatic. I just know he's going to be a major player in upcoming volumes, rather than a minor antagonist like he once was. The introduction to Naoya was awesome; he seems like a pesky antagonist, but one that I'll come to love despite his flaws. Plus, Yuta is finally back with a really interesting role to play....

Can't wait for more! So much happened in this volume.

I don't think I will stop tonight until I finish all the chapters of the manga... I'm way to invested at this point.
I'm happy that Yuta finally made an apperance, but I'm a bit concerned not gonna lie. Although I have a theory about what he is doing...

Omamo. Totalnie się wkręciłam.
Papa wypłato. Papa życie. Papa inne lektury.
MUSZĘ czytać dalej.

my therapist will probably need therapy after hearing me complain about how Gege destroys me, puts my heart back together, just to annihilate it right after... it's a vicious cycle.

Goddamn here we go. Now we have two unlikely "heroes" working together. Or one "big brother" protecting his little brother. But with the return of Yuji from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 things are about to get messy. He wants revenge for what happened to his friend and his main target is Yuji Itadori after he's ordered to kill him for the actions of Sukuna. On top of that we have the Zen family looking for Magumi after what happens. So much shit is unraveling and the fights keep on giving as this new arc is off to an explosive start.

A 5 out of 5.

✣ this is becoming mentally exhausting. now there's the culling game, a jujutsu terrorism on a never seen before scale. gege is going off with this shit. but gotta love the chaos.
