Edit: I think I just realised why this book gave me the ick. Four months after finishing this book, I've finally figured out that my dislike regarding this book was more about how much of a pig and disgusting piece of shit Laz was rather than the stepfather x stepdaughter trope per se. I mean, c'mon, imma be honest with you guys and say that I absolutely love a good ol' taboo/forbidden romance. Or for that matter, the fact that I read books with the ex's dad trope doesn't give me the ick either. My main problem lies in the way Laz behaved with Mia and how disrespectful he was. No shade or hate to Miss Lilith. I think she had the right idea but something went really wrong with the execution of it.

I just about melted into a puddle of wetness. I have been silently despairing about turning into a conservative romance reader. Let me say this is probably the only authors that I'll read a "cheating" book from. You ALLL know me I hate cheating but Lilith gave me the 411 and let me beta read it.
Mia dislikes her stepfather Laz for many reason few he picks on her he taunts and teases her and does flirt with her when no one's looking and no one would believe her because her family hates her she's the Blacksheep. So it's alot of sexual/hate tension between her and Laz. As for Laz he just hates his life right now his family is punishing him so he had to marry a old hag who he hates he can't get his money so he's taking it out on Mia but deep down he feels something for her he doesn't just wanna fuck her nope he has more plans. He just needs to show Mia it isn't a game anymore.
The more they spend together the more Laz sees how they treat her he doesn't like it. And when he finds out Mia's big secert he sorta blackmails her I laughed at the moments they spend together sneaking around but things get messy when mom/wife starts watching more.
Now they have to deal with this and what Laz does to make sure his family knows he's not knocking up his wife oh no he's knocking up someone ;) can you take a guess?
I wanna see the sisters book and her mysterious husband.

Oh my God! This is such a train wreck, how could an interesting taboo plot be so spoiled. This book is not safe in any way. The hero slept with her mother trying to get pregnant because he is her husband. The heroine is a virgin, just because the penis was not in her vagina, but she is a stripper who, oh really! undressing completely! she also loves to do blowjob and does it well! Yes, when they get together, there is no sex with others, but that's where all the good ends.

Lazzaro Rosetti and Giulia Bianchi are forced together via arranged marriage. They don't love each other. In fact, they don't even like each other, but there is someone that Laz likes plenty, his stepdaughter, Mia.
Mia is the black sheep of the family due to her birth being the result of an affair with a restaurant owner. Her family acts like her parentage is her fault, and they treat her shit because of it. Nobody shows Mia love and affection aside from one of her sisters that doesn't live with her. The family that Mia encounters on a day to day basis don't care about her feelings or pay any attention to her whatsoever. That is, until Laz moves in.
He's supposed to be keeping her mother's bed warm, but he can't stop sneaking into Mia's instead. She tries throwing him out. Her family hates her enough as it is, and Laz is her new father in the eyes of the law.
Spoiler alert: it doesn't work.
Brutal Intentions is my first read from Lilith Vincent, and it was so much fun! The author has a captivating writing style that pulled me into the story quickly and held my attention the whole way through. The steamy scenes between Mia and Laz are absolute taboo perfection, and I adore both characters, especially Laz. He's lewd, crude, and barely gives a single fuck, and while that might not always be the best combination of personality traits, it only endeared him to me. His mouth is dirty and hilarious, and he appreciates, defends, and cares about Mia more than anything. It's hard not to love him even when he does messed up or dumbass things.
If you're worried about how you're going to feel due to the cheating, and the fact that Mia's mom is the one being cheated one, don't be! I felt so bad for Mia during the entire book, and most of that was due to how horrible her mother treated her. That bitch is so awful that I never blamed Mia for anything she did with Laz, and you won't either. Trust me!
I was just happy that somebody was finally giving Mia the love she deserved. Laz constantly stands up for Mia against anyone that dares to insult, offend, or ignore her, and he genuinely thinks she is amazing, beautiful, and worthy of everything. I rooted for them right from the start, and nothing about their relationship ever felt wrong to me.
Despite their age difference, relation, and what stage of life they're in, their relationship makes a lot of sense. They're both being controlled by their families and aren't "seen" by anyone that supposed to love them. Mia and Laz bring out the best in one another and give each other everything they've been missing and deserve. I don't know how anyone could deny that they're each other's perfect match.

Suspend all disbelief and go in expecting to be confused and I think you might like it.
Well..I guess I should start with what I liked?
The sex. Mia (FMC). Lol
Everything else was ehhhh. Not the best. Idk what was up with the writing, but it wasn’t very smooth and I almost DNF’d because of it. I don’t know if this was meant to be a mafia book, with prominent dangerous people or what. It gave off that vibe hardcore, but it was never mentioned. It was extremely laughable because all these characters were very cartoonish. Lazzaro (29 year old MMC) was supposed to be this badass person, but came off like a 15 year old boy playing dress up in big boy clothes. I was also confused if this was a bully romance at first, but then it turned to where he was OTT possessive and I was left scratching my head wondering what changed. Every other character I didn’t like. The uncles, the mom. Even the sisters. Y’all are supposed to be good people yet you let your mom and uncles get away with all this shit? Where’s y’all’s backbones? The plot itself is so unbelievable. I think the sex was written first, which was hot af and somewhat taboo, but then the author realized she should probably add something else in to give it more substance and we’re left with this mess.
There is cheating (MMC married to FMCs mom- def no love lost there), but not between the two MCs and no on page scenes between Laz and the mom. There is birth control manipulation that does play a pretty important role in the plot.

Yup the only thing good in this was the smut and that it, that's all.
I heard soo much abt this one. I was soo happy to listen to this. And enjoy the taboo-ness out of this. BUT I DIDN'T LIKED IT.😤

First of all this book was supposed to be Mafia book.... where was the mafia. There was no guns, no shipment, no fighting, nothing THERE WASN'T anything at all.
The writing was so off...I almost dnf'ed it cz of the writing. It was not smooth at all.
Lazzaro; who was he?...he was supposed to be a possessive man. He was supposed to give off daddy vibes (yk what I mean) but what did I got? A scared man who couldn't even be with her without doing that shitty thing...
. This type of behaviour is usually from a madmen (or disgusting men) in other books, but our MMC did this thing in this book.💀✌

Yup the only thing good in this was the smut and that it, that's all.

First of all this book was supposed to be Mafia book.... where was the mafia. There was no guns, no shipment, no fighting, nothing THERE WASN'T anything at all.
The writing was so off...I almost dnf'ed it cz of the writing. It was not smooth at all.
Lazzaro; who was he?...he was supposed to be a possessive man. He was supposed to give off daddy vibes (yk what I mean) but what did I got? A scared man who couldn't even be with her without doing that shitty thing...
. This type of behaviour is usually from a madmen (or disgusting men) in other books, but our MMC did this thing in this book.💀✌
And he's 29!?!?!?
He almost had zero to no personality, he gave off zero energy, okay he had some dreams to achieve but that's all. Only wanting to have sex with his step daughter! I didn't see anything except that.😐

Completely obnoxious and immature, just messing with Mia because he's mad and lashing out about his arranged marriage to a much older woman. Mia is a complete outcast in her family and is just trying to lay low until she graduates, but Laz keeps "seeing" her and forcing her to engage.
I completely devoured this book. Laz is obsessed with Mia, much to his chagrin, lol. He can't leave her alone, but he also goes all crazy protective of her too. I liked how he grew emotionally, but his core personality stayed the same. He still was cocky and obnoxious, lol. I loved Mia and how focused she was on surviving and trying to maibtsin her secret self safe. The chemistry between them was off the chain and all the sneaky, smexy times were super hot. This one is definitely going on my faves of 2022 list!

Forbidden stepfather romance, mafia, age gap, innocent heroine, over the top dirty talking alphahole, so much delicious smut but also a lot of heart. I'm getting pregnant just writing this- holy moly. I gobbled this up like a thirsty biatch in the desert- I could not get enough of this steamy, naughty, oh so delectable story.

Mia and Laz are both the black sheep in their family. Absolutely love how Mia fights back in her own way. She’s not a pushover and she’s going to do things that shock you. Yes this has cheating but that’s never stopped me from reading something before.

In order to receive his inheritance, Laz’s brother demands he marry a Bianchi and have a child. When he finally gets married, he succumbs to boredom and decides to torment his new step-daughter, Mia. Hated just for being born, Mia is the black sheep of her family. When her mother’s new husband torments her, it seems she can’t help the burgeoning attraction between the two.
Listen, I read the blurb, clutched my pearls, and then read the book anyway. I’m not going to lie, I ate it up. The book is a page turner, and I was invested until the very end.
Don’t get me wrong, the relationship was completely inappropriate, even gross at times; however, it was also really sweet. I did not expect to like Laz, but he (sort of) grew on me. The dude is an idiot and he’s kind of insane, but he was also funny, so…
He’d say something so outrageous my jaw would drop, and then I’d laugh because why would he say that???
I really hated the plotline. I also cannot figure out what he was thinking announcing his relationship to Mia so publicly. He said he had a plan, but it was poorly thought out (and a spectacularly bad one). If Laz had just talked to Mia beforehand, a lot of the fallout could’ve been avoided.
This was a goodass read. I will definitely be exploring more of Lilith Vincent’s catalogue.

This is going to be short, I read it several weeks back and am going off my notes because it didn’t leave an impression. Brutal Intentions follows the taboo/forbidden relationship of Laz and Mia. Laz (29) has recently married Mia’s mom (41) when he starts to get the hots for his stepdaughter… who has the hots for him.
There are several things that make this situation more tolerable/less dicey.
I thought it was ok. The writing/editing wasn’t bad, but it felt one-dimensional… which it ok for straight smut… but this is a little long for smut, and I needed more to stay interested… so I skimmed some. The smut was decent, but I felt like they both lacked the maturity to really sell it… and Laz’s beta/man-child attitude killed it a bit. IMHO, you need a confident alpha to pull off daddy-kink.
Bottom Line- Smutty fluff with a great cover free to read with KU. It was a lot lighter than I was anticipating for the content… I thought it would be heavier with possible angst that he was taken by her mom… but it didn’t shake out that way. The ending felt a smidge OTT/rushed, and I felt some loose ends were left without resolution, but there’s a short epilogue a year-ish out for the couple.

Ok so this wasn't even cheating 😂 come on now. Both the mum and Laz HATE each other and yeah they had sex cause of duty to the arranged marriage but none on page and the recollection from Laz was that it was terrible.

I really enjoyed this it’s a taboo age-gap romance set in the mafia world. Though the mafia part is only a loose background theme. This one definitely had a more contemporary taboo-type feel to it instead. This begins after Laz is forced to marry Mia’s mum by his family by way of withholding his inheritance. A notorious playboy they think him being a family man will make him settle down. He’s not happy and takes his anger at the situation out on the family’s whipping girl and his new stepdaughter Mia.
It’s not long before he realises that they have a lot in common the main thing being the constant mistreatment at the hands of their families. The more time Laz spends around Mia the more he releases he’s married the wrong Bianchi woman and soon the chemistry between Laz and Mia cannot be contained and explodes now all they both want is to be together.
I loved Mia and Laz their relationship didn’t feel In anyway weird, neither knew the other previously and they were actually more compatible in age (Mia is eighteen to Laz’s 29 whilst Mia’s mum is forty-one). I also didn’t feel bad about the unfaithfulness as Mia’s mum is a class A bitch and behaves abysmally with her daughter In fact the whole family except one sister treat her like she’s a stain on their name due to her being illegitimate so I couldn’t bring myself to care that much.
I did initially worry that I’d have an issue with Laz being a married man but after he and Mia start to connect he doesn’t go anywhere near his new wife and their relationship wasn't a good one anyway or even wanted it being arranged and all. He’s all for Mia and finding a way they can finally be together and he also hates how terribly her family treats her.
I liked Laz’s blunt-talking and crude charm I also loved the connection he had with Mia and also that she liked him for exactly who he was. The sex here was hot and dirty it very much had a praise-breeding kink to it all and I was glad we don’t get to read on page anything intimate to do with the mum, this actually begins sometime after the wedding when Laz already knows how incompatible he is with his new wife and can’t actually stand her. This was an easy well-written read that managed to keep me engaged and connected throughout I’d definitely now read more from this author.

I was not expecting this book! I took a chance as I saw that this was an MF title from Lilith Vincent and RH isn't really my speed or enjoyment level. So I was intrigued to give this one a go. Don't be fooled that because there are only 2 people in this romance that it is tame... holy smokes, this was a wild ride.
This book has a lot of things that might turn some people away. The hero is married.. to the heroines MOTHER... this is a Step-father romance. However, I was sucked into it from the first chapter. The mind games, the chemistry, the forbidden-ness... this book was a snack for sure! I was smiling at it's craziness and rolling my eyes at the cheesy lines sometimes, but it was a very enjoyable read.
In fact, for the first 60% of this book I was sure I was looking at a 5 star read. So I was a little disappointed in how convoluted and frustrating the last bit was. I really enjoyed this couple's chemistry but there was something about how Laz didn't have enough power and was kind of ineffective in how he negotiated with his family for what he wants... I like my mafia men to be a bit more in control.
I really loved the heroine though and I felt for her so much. She is a bane to her family for something she didn't do and just trying to get away from it all.. and then she gets stuck in her new Step-father's sights and she is doomed.. haha! Some of that she enjoys and some of it is painful and a mind-f*ck.
However, I did still like this a good bit and I recommend it as a taboo age-gap if you want a quick thrill.
