SARAH
It’s not you. It’s me.

Fen’k is a total cinnamon roll of a Xarc’n hunter who makes me want what I’ll never have: to live happily ever after. He deserves someone who isn’t afraid to love him back.

After the last person I trusted stomped on my heart and stole all that I cared about , I stopped believing in love. I’m sure it still exists; just not for me.

But when the growly alien warrior offers to help me find my missing son, I throw caution to the wind, even though losing my heart would destroy me. I just hope I’m not making a horrible mistake.

FEN’K
I’ll believe for the both of us.

Sarah is all I’ve been able to think about since I first laid eyes on her. Even though she turns me down, I know she’s the one.

When she asks me what the catch is for finding her missing offspring, I pull the deal out of thin air. I’ll find her son, but she must come along, and if we form a mating bond, she’ll give us a chance.

I make it my mission to open her heart again. She doesn’t believe love lasts forever, but I know mate bonds do. Now all I have to do is wait for the bond to start.

This story is a complete romance with a HEA but is best read as part of a series.

Road trip in the bugpocalypse!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😔🤨😛😁🥰

The heroine: Sarah - she was one of the survivors of the raiders. She lived in the caves with the raiders and like most of the other women there, she was a prisoner, kept there to do the drudge work, like cooking, washing clothes and cleaning. After the bikers and most of the others escaped and a few of the raiders who survived got desperate, they grabbed Sarah and Gabby to hold them hostage for food and guns.

The Hero: Fen’k - He was a Xarc’n hunter who worked in the Rocky Mountains fighting the alien bugs that were ravaging the Earth. When he heard that two females were being held hostage near his area, he wanted to help and he was able to rescue Sarah, the small blonde female who looked so helpless running from a small cabin that had been set ablaze with her hands tied. From the time he rescued her and held her in his arms, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. So, he agreed to help the humans get ready to fight against the scourge in order to spend more time with Sarah.

The Story: Sarah wanted nothing to do with Fen’k, she was done with men. She had enough of falling for jerks that ended up leaving her life in shambles. She had been married twice before and both men had cheated on her. She had a child with her second husband, and they stayed together when the bugs came to look out for their five-year-old son, Caleb. Then one day after they had been with the raiders for a while, her husband took her son and left while she slept. He took her heart with him, and she didn’t want to be hurt like that again.

I love the fact that as soon as Fen’k finds out about Sarah’s son, he offers to help her find him. She was stuck before with nobody from the raiders camp offering to help her find her son after her ex stole a truck and left. I liked both of these characters and I always love a storyline where a journey is involved. One thing about most alien romance books that I never understand though, is the fact that they always make the aliens’ horns an erogenous zone. When in reality you know that animals with horns can’t really feel anything with their horns. If they could, then Rams would never ram each other.

No lie, I really like how these growly warriors find their special someone and just GO FOR IT. Fen'k knew Sarah was the one who captured his attention from the first, but she wasn't ready for a relationship and so he set out to figure out how to win her over. Basically, the big guy just wanted a chance for the mate bond to develop and a trip to another settlement was exactly the opportunity to let things happen.

While Fen'k was ready and willing, Sarah was a little slower to go all in. She'd suffered a pretty big loss and was guarding her heart pretty fiercely. Fen'k's offer to take her to search for her son was a chance she couldn't pass up. So she set out with the big guy and soon the two were going on picnic dates and cuddling to give the mate bond a chance to kick in.

A little danger, nasty bugs, a road trip (of sorts), a doggo, a wary kid, a warrior who knows his person when he meets her, and a lady who is afraid to hope for the things she wants most. GOOD STUFF!

This is another fab addition to the series and I really enjoyed how much effort Fen'k put in to winning Sarah's heart. She was a character to admire, strong and determined, but, with the loss of her son, she was also rather broken. Fen'k figured out a way to romance her - with a great quest, of course! - but it allowed them the time alone to find their way. Expect lots of action, suspense, drama and danger to keep you madly flipping pages when you dive in to this one - and also some time with previous couples to make for a fuller reading experience :D

well

I love these books. I have been hooked on them since book 1 but this one just didn’t do anything for me. I love the Xarc’n Warriors, they are freaking amazing but Sarah makes me want to scream and throw things. She avoids Fen’k, repeatedly tells him no, that she can’t possibly be his mate over and over and over then once he fulfills his part of their deal she can’t spend any time with him on their return to actually see if there’s a mate bond and she feels sorry for herself? For herself????? I have never wanted to shake a character in this series so much as I did her. Poor Fen’k. I usually read a book in a day, I had this one for weeks, maybe over a month because I was so incredibly tired of reading “it’s me, not him, I can’t trust him, I have no trust, it’s me”. Well, if you know it’s you fix it instead of whining. Fen’k deserved better than this book.

Xarc’n Warriors Mountains is a 4-book post apocalypse series written by Lynnea Lee. The books are set on Earth, after an alien invasion from space bugs, where the few human survivors are still fighting for survival daily. The invasive species, controlled by a “queen,” have built hives inside major cities, and killed (and ate) most humans. The space bugs (aka scourge) carry an infectious and deadly bacteria. Any human that became desperate enough (from starvation) to capture and eat a scourge, turned into a heavily contagious zombie that must be avoided at all cost. The scourge will stop at nothing to return the bacteria to its hive. The remaining humans have taken refuge outside the major cities. Some forming survivalist groups and cults that stand against the Xarc’n Warriors. The Xarc’n Warriors are aliens that have come to help Earth by ridding it of their scourge infestation. The Xarc’ns, being perfect clones specifically designed to fight the bugs, reside in territories around the world. This series follows the Xarc’n Warrior group that resides in the Rocky Mountains. Xarc’n Hunter’s are over 7 feet tall, purple skin, ram-like horns sprouting from their temples, sharp teeth with fangs, and retractable claws. They all seem to have muscles on top of their muscles; no dad bods here. Their females are extinct, which is why they’ve been intrigued to match and mate with women of Earth (they are compatible and can have offspring together).

Hunter’s Wish is book 4 in the series and follows the Xarc’n Warrior Fen’k and his human mate Sarah. If you read the last book, then you’ve already met Fen’k and Sarah. Fen’k showed up to help Tal’n and Big Bear save Sarah and Gabby after they were captured and held for ransom by the remaining Raiders. Fen’k has had an interest in Sarah since, though she doesn’t share the same sentiments. Sarah has a lot of baggage; she was married twice and both husbands cheated on her. First with her best friend and second (named Greg) with his secretary Vicky. She learned about that a week before the scourge attack. So they put their differences aside in order to save their 5-year-old son Caleb. Their family of 3 soon joined the raiders for safety. But after a big fight, she woke to find Greg and Caleb gone the next morning. After confiding that to Fen’k, he made her a deal; together they would search for her son Caleb, and if a mate bond happened, then she would accept it. Their first clue of Caleb’s whereabouts lead them to Tristan, the worthless ex still living in Morgan’s cabin. He directed them to a survivor group in New Mexico, where Vicky supposedly ended up. They saved a dog named Finn from the scourge along the journey. Of course, they find Caleb and rescue him. Fairly easily, for that matter. Greg had run off at some point and left Caleb with Vicky to raise. Vicky wanted nothing to do with the kid, so she was more than happy to return the responsibility to his mother Sarah.

Sarah was reluctant to let Fen’k in at first, but she eventually came around. Their first sexual encounter hit at the 40% mark. Admittedly, I am 100% on board with the Xarc’n species. Their protective, aggressive, possessive, dominant, controlling need of need of their mate is my kind of flavor. The way they unintentionally purr, growl and roar is kinda cute too. When a mating band takes place, the Xarc’n Warrior physically can not stop touching his mate for a certain period of time. Which is different and quite endearing. Fen’k mating bond with Sarah didn’t happen until the very end of the book. Just once, I would love to see a mate bond take place at the beginning of the book. Although, I haven’t read the author’s prior work, so maybe it does. Each section of a Xarc’n cock is shaped like a sex toy; a head with a thick ridge around the widest part and it dipped in before the next part started. Picture a butt-plug with 3 round balls, each one bigger than the last. I imagine it to be 10 times better than sex with any human man. *sigh* If only.

The book doesn’t suck; it’s filled with adventure and a little romance. I just prefer my novels to be more on the HOTT side. There were a few editorial errors, but they didn’t take from the experience. I recommend reading, at least once.

Fen'k is a Xarc'n hunter who's been working with the humans at the mountain camp with helping them train to fight the bug scourge. He's also there because he is attracted to & believes Sarah is meant to be his mate.

Sarah has had buck luck in the love department... 2 failed marraiges, who both left her for other women. And the 2nd... he even took off with her only child (Caleb) at start of the bugpocalypse (if youve read any in this series, she lived in a human camp in the mountains that was "overrun" in book 2). Now, she trusts no man and falling in love again to have her heart broken again is not something she wants.

When SArah confides in Fen'k about her son, he is determined to "win" her trust... so they set off to find & bring home her "offspring". And along the way, he hopes they will bring about the mate bond... if not, he will walk away and leave her alone.

* We get to see how other couples and characters from previous stories are doing!

This book was brilliant and I love how in the end the get there man / Xarc’n warrior but mostly it the adventure that your taken on that make this book and the others in this series so good. Sarah has had lousy luck with mem with both leaving for other women and the good thing that came from her Ex Greg was her son Caleb who he stole from her and went to find his secretary Vicki leave her behind. Now that all the females have been saved she is living at the clubhouse where a very sexy Xarc’n warrior Fen’k who has set his sights on her and she would love to have a warrior of her own but every time she gets involved they cheat. Fen’k is Xarc’n warrior who was one of the warriors that rescued the human females and now he hangs around at the clubhouse wanting to get close to Sarah who he knows is his mate but she pushes him away and doesn’t trust anyone but she looks sad like something is missing but nobody will tell what it is. When we travel to the Ledge the other females tell her about Tristan who might know where Greg went with her son so now I offer to take her to find her son and in return he asks if they bond she will stay with him and she agrees. They head to see Tristan who forces them to take him with them but he is nothing but trouble and when he brings the scrounge to them he new that Fen’k would save them and that was his plan to take Fen’k’s ship and leave him behind by forcing Sarah to take him to the settlement where the others are while he grabs her and dragging her to the ship she breaks free and run for it and makes it but Tristan doesn’t and get eaten. Does Fen’k make it out and do they find the settlement where her son might be and do they bond and fall in love. There is so much more to this book that draws you in and makes it a must read. Amazing.

I really liked this part of the series. This time we accompany the adventures of Sarah and Fen'k. Xarc'n Warrior was not actively looking for his true mate, but when Sarah appeared on his way, he was immediately sure that he had found her. Even though other people in the compound told him to let it go and that the woman refused to go on a date with him, he was determined to prove to her that they were destined for each other. Sarah was not afraid of Xarc'n Warriors, but her previous life experiences did not allow her to open up to a new relationship. When Fen'k offers to help her find her son, the temptation for the woman is too great to refuse such an opportunity, even if it might break her heart.
This time, the main plot of the story focuses on showing Sarah that she is not broken and still worthy of being loved and that she can still loved. Fen'k is a very patient partner, determined to make a woman happy whether or not mate bond can be activated between them. He realizes that this is a difficult task, because even though her body craves him, the problem is to convince her mind that not all men do not keep their promises.
The story is very well written, and the characters are well-created, which meant that I followed their fate with interest. As always, the book is packed with action with a few twists and fits well into the entire series.

Fen'k and Sarah's Story . . .

This was a really good story for the heart. Sarah had been hurt and foolishly thinks that love is not for her. Every relationship is different – it all depends on the chemistry and trust between two people. Regardless, Sarah wants nothing to do with love for a man. Instead, she wants her son back.

Fen’k and Drak’l had arrived on the planet only 3 weeks ago to train the human survivors in how to fight and defeat the bugs. They had done amazingly well using their strong determination. Fen’k went to the human clubhouse to check on the other groups trained earlier. He knew Sarah was there and is convinced that she is the love of his life. He has no doubts at all and is willing to be patient with her. He needed to find a way to encourage her.

Hearing that Sarah was over at the garden defending against a centricreep which could be difficult, he immediately went there to help. He was magnificent as he battled all the bugs and the centricreep. While the others congratulated him, she sneaked away. When he eventually found her and offered to help find her missing son, she decided to accept his offer. Would she finally give him a chance to convince her how he feels? He is not the one who broke her heart and should not be “punished” because of someone else’s cruelty. He is totally devoted to her. So he bargains that if they form a mating bond during the hunt for her son, she will stay with him permanently as her mate. Will she agree?

I should really just book a vacation day whenever I know I'm about to pickup a novel by Linnea Lee because I will NOT be able to put it down. While this copy was a ARC, I've read almost all of them in this serious and just love them. The warriors are always smokin' hot with really sweet and charming personalities. The women are usually more of a hard sell. In the Hunter's Wish, that is no different. (Spoiler Alerts Coming) Fen'k is to die for and Sarah is a mess. I do love that Sarah had a son because in so many other novels in this genre, the main female characters are single, twenty-something, great bodies, and childless. Sarah shared her son with her ex in a less than stellar, potentially abusive relationship. I really appreciated the reality that provided and hope other writers pick up on that; life is messy, it involves mistakes and relationships that aren't easily resolved, and that some victories are small and quiet while others are the stuff that dreams are made of (like Big Beautiful Fen'k). You will find that Ms. Lee's writing is smooth and swift to grab you. This book can be a stand alone but once you have read Hunter's Wish, you will definitely want to check out the previous novels in this series.

Another book in the bug apocalypse series. The Xarc’n warriors were created to fight the scourge. They are purple with horns, fanged teeth, retractable claws and long black hair. They arrived on Earth to fight the deadly bugs. The human females are compatible with them.
Sarah is a human that escaped from a settlement. She and her friend was rescued by Xarc’n warriors. Fen’k was the warrior that saved her. He is taken with Sarah. But she refuses all his attempts to ask her out.
Fen’k has tried to ask Sarah to spend time with him. But she refuses repeatedly. Stating it’s her not him. He sees her a a potential mate. When he finds out she has been hurt twice by males is is upset. Then she says he son was kidnapped by her ex-husband. He makes a deal to help her find her son if she spends time with him. He needs time to see if mating bond forms. She agrees.
The adventures and drama begin for them. Sarah learns to trust a male. Their chemistry and attraction is off the charts. But no sign of a bond. Which creates doubt and self-worth issues for both. Good story with HEA.

Muscled, purple, hot, alien protector with horns and special eggplant - please! Fen'k (H) is a Xarc'n hunter who's working with the humans at the mountain encampment to battle the bug scourge. He's also there because he's convinces that Sarah (h) is meant to be his and it's only a matter of time before their bond forms. Sarah has been unlucky in love and isn't looking for a relationship with either man or Xarc'n, but she does want to find her young son who was taken by her ex-husband to another encampment. Fen'k will do anything for Sarah, including helping her search for her son and hopefully forming their bond in the process. As they get to know one another, things take a decidedly hot, steamy, and intense turn. Lots of action and adventure as they search for her son and battle the bugs. Fun to see characters from past books/series. The books in the Xarc'n Warriors: Mountains series should be read in order - you'll get a better feel for the overall storyline and characters, and ideally read it after the original Xarc'n series.

Fen'k knew that Sarah was his one since the first time that he met her. The thing is he also knows that she is very wary of relationships. Despite all that he is determined to get her to agree to a date no matter how long it takes him nor how many times he has to ask. There is no scent of fear wafting from her when she sees him, quite the opposite in fact, which means that there is still some small sliver of hope. Even better is when he finds that he can make a deal to get them both something that they want. He will get Sarah alone with just him in his shuttle for days and she will get her son back. Sarah has always liked the huge purple warrior so she has always had a sense of sadness when she has to continually reject him. She is being cruel to be kind though as she knows that she is just not cut out for a relationship, not after her past. Still if he is willing to put himself out to look for her son the least she can do is go along with him. She doesn't have to fall in love with him. Easier said when he turns out to be the sweetest, kindest and most loyal male going....

Sarah and Fen'k

Back in the bugpocalypse with the Mountain Xarc'n Warriors! Fen'k is a Xarc'n warrior who is helping to battle the scourge alongside human survivors. One of these survivors, Sarah, is his mate but she resists their connection. She's been hurt and betrayed by men in the past, so she's afraid to trust the large, purple warrior.

Especially since her ex took their son before the bugpocalypse and she hasn't seen him since. Now, they're on a mission to find Sarah's son and Fen'k is going this opportunity to help her as well as to show her that he can be trusted.

I just love this series! And the other Xarc'n series too! The world building is fantastic and you can clearly visualize this post-apocalytic world. The characters are in-depth and created with such detail. I highly recommend this well written book and series! You can't go wrong with any of these books. Well done and highly recommended!!

Fen'k knows that he and Sarah are destined mates but she won't let him get close. He keeps trying to ask her out on a date but she repeatedly turns him down. Her friends gently try to discourage him but he won't give up. All Fen'k knows is that Sarah keeps saying its not him but its her. He has no clue what that means. Then he learns that Sarah's ex husband had taken their young son and snuck out one night to join the woman he had been fooling around with before the Scourge. Sarah had no safe way to go after her son. Fen'k immediately offers to take her in search of her son. When Sarah asks what's the catch, she doesn't believe him when he says he is doing for her. He finally lies and tells Sarah that he wants her to give him a chance to see if a bond will develop between them on their trip. If not he will give up and go away. Sarah agrees. Being with Fen'k has her opening her heart again, maybe she is hoping for a bond too.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable although it was sad at times too. The characters were interesting and likable but also frustrasting. There were many times that I wanted to yell at them to talk to each other. Sarah's reaction to Caleb's freak out made me want to smack her. In her place, I would have picked him up and got him in the shuttle - then fight with him so that I'd know he was safe and we didn't have to worry about the people from the compound! Sarah's reluctance to start another relationship was understandable given her past. Fen'k was super sweet because he kept trying even though no one was explaining why Sarah wasn't interested (even though he knew she was!). He was great with asking other's for advice on what to do and asking to do different things with Sarah. She was fighting herself because she didn't want to get hurt again. They were sweet together but also steamy. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Loved Fen'k's many missions to make Sarah his own. She has been hurt in the past and does not believe in HEAs.
I liked Sarah. She is one tough cookie. Determined and smart, but broken. Fen'k has his hands full trying to get to his goal. But he is patient and determined. And like the warriors he also has honor. So when things do not turn out the way he wanted them to , he still keeps his word.
Action from the first page. I love stories with HEAs. and not cliffhangers. The book is a standalone , but it is best to read them in order.
The story made me smile.
Romance with steam , a slow burn to the romance. Mystery and intrigue. I love the solutions to the problems they came across in their journey to complete
Sarah's mission.
This is a great series. Each book is unique. Each warrior has his own problems to solve in getting the HEA he truly deserves.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, this series just keeps getting better and better. In this story we read about Sarah who was rescued from the caves by Fen’k, one of the Xarc’n Hunters. Fen’k knew that Sarah was the one for him, he only needed to convince her that she could have a happy life with him. Sarah had a son, Caleb who was taken away by her husband and she had no way of knowing where he was.

Fen’k convinces Sarah that he could help her find her son and if they could establish a mate bond then Sarah would stay with him as his mate. The head action all the way to the compound where Caleb was, they manage to rescue Caleb and to eventually fly back home to the compound and eventually had a happily ever after together as a family.

“I cannot fight bad thoughts yet, but I will learn if it will stop you from hurting.” - Fen'k

The bugpocalypse hit Earth and humans are in survival mode. Xarc'n warriors from outer space have come to help humans with the space bug infestation. That is the backdrop for Sarah and Fen'k's story.

Sarah married twice, and each time, her marriage was destroyed by a cheating husband. The last guy even took off with her only child right around the start of the bugpocalypse. Now, she trusts no man. Fen’k is not your average guy, though. He's a seven foot tall purple alien and he feels a connection to Sarah. He wants forever with her. It took a ton of convincing on his part through icky bug fights and daring rescues. But, in the end, they got their sweet HEA.

Well written series. Worth a read.

Fen'k is a big purple alien that was created to fight the bugs. Ick. But he's good and honorable. He's been helping the humans at the compound learn to fight. He also knows Sarah is his mate.
Sarah's broken, previous cheating husbands have left her distrusting men, especially since her last ex took off with her so. So, no interest in dating or a relationship for her.
When Sara tells Fen'k about her son, he sees how to proceed in his quest to win her heart and see if the mate bond will form. Lynnea is a wonderful author and her bugpocolypse world is a good indicator of her skills. And crazy imagination. She takes us through danger, challenges, emotions, Steam and plot twists to a well deserved HEA. My favorite kind of story.

Sarah doesn't trust any males thanks to her cheating husband that took off with her young son, Caleb. She hasn't seen them since, has no idea where they went, and has no hope of ever seeing her son again. Fen'k is a Xarc'n warrior, created to fight off the bug-apocalypse now taking over Earth. Warriors bond for life and are compatible with humans and Fen'k knows Sarah is his mate, the problem is she isn't even willing to consider it. But when Fen'k volunteers to help her find her son, he has one request. They try to see if they bond during the trip, but if when they get back home and the bond hasn't formed, he will move on. This book is full of action, sizzle, steam, drama, twists, and more. This entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited and can be read for free. A binge-worthy series.

I swear this series is better than the first and each book is even better than the previous one! Each book centers around a couple and features previous characters. So while the book can be read by itself the story is much more well-rounded the the series are read in order.

Sarah hasn't had much luck with marriage to Terran men who cheated on her. To add insult to injury her second husband stole her son then traipsed across country putting their lives in jeopardy to the bugs.

Fen'k is the epitome of patience and loyalty when it comes to Sarah. He must prove himself at every turn and show he is not fickle like humans who seem to easily fall out of love with her.

I hope this series goes on for MANY more books as I drop everything the minute I get notice of another book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sarah had been left by two husbands. One of them had taken her son with him. She wanted nothing to do with the hunter Fen'k, the Xarc'n Warrior. Fen'k knew he loved Sarah but she kept avoiding him. She finally told him why she didn't want to be with a man and about her son. Fen'k told her that he would help her find her son. He was trying to force a mate bond and if that didn't work then he would leave her alone. They have the most amazing chemistry and the steam is super hot. They find Caleb and when the bond doesn't form Fen'k leaves Sarah alone like he promised. I really wanted to cry because they were perfect for each other. Will they make their way back to each other? Will the mating bond show up? Great story and fantastic series. I can't wait till the next book comes out.

Sarah is heartbroken after two failed marriages and has vowed to never give her heart to anyone again. She is content to raise her son Caleb, but Caleb has been kidnapped by his father and Sarah has no idea where to start looking.
Enter Xarc'n warrior Fen'k. Fen'k is determined Sarah is his, but he has to convince her he is honorable and will NEVER abandon her.
He's got his work cut out, but his promise to find Caleb and reunite mother and son may just be the recipe for a forever future with his one and only.
Will he succeed? Will Sarah ever find the courage to love again?
Lynnea Lee's latest story has all the soft and fuzzies we have come to expect from her. Her story is one of hope, devastation, uncertainty, determination - but is there a happy ending?

Wonderful!

Fen’k is happy by himself, fighting the scourge with the other humans in the mountains of Colorado. That is until he rescues Sarah from the raiders. He knows she is the one for him but she isn’t interested. She has loved and been betrayed too many times so she has sworn off men forever. Fen’k follows her around like a lost puppy, much to her annoyance. When he learns she has a small son that her ex kidnapped, he makes her a deal. He will help her find her son but she must come with him, and if the mating bond gets trigger she will stay with him forever.

This is the a great story of learning to trust and love again. Don’t miss it!.

I liked this story a lot and Fen'k and Sarah are a great couple. I loved reading about them together and their journey. But I wish this book had been a little bit longer or more in depth. It felt like there were all these interesting obstacles and side plots and I was looking forward to seeing more. But then the resolutions didn't feel very earned or thought out. So I felt a bit flat.

But the romance with these two was really great and I love their HEA moments. And I love the series in general and seeing how the world is dealing with the bugs over time. It's great to see so many little settlements starting and growing. So overall the story was a 3.5 but rounding up to four.

I loved this book. Great world building. The story was fun and exciting. I really loved the characters. Fen'k and Sarah were such a good match! But Sarah has been hurt before and believes love will only fade away and she'll be left alone and hurt again. Fen'k knows in his heart she is the one for him, but he'll have to work hard to convince her. They make a bet on forming a mate bond while on a mission to find her missing son. A mate bond is permanent and Sarah trusts it, but if it doesn't happen, she'll believe it isn't meant to be and would rather he walk away. Fen'k longs for it to happen to prove to her what he knows in his heart. This story was an adventure, and a journey for Sarah to come to terms with her feelings. I loved it. 5 stars.

"I couldn’t trust him because I had no trust left."

Fen'k knew from his first encounter with Sarah that she's the one for him, convincing her to even give him a chance is just one of many challenges he must face.

Sarah has been in love. And she's been divorced. She's been in love. And had her husband betray her in every way imaginable. With two failed marriages to her credit, trusting a man, and believing in love are things she's given up on entirely.

This done in one, stand alone Kindle Unlimited quick read looks at the ways we protect ourselves... our hearts as well as our bodies. Fen'k is a warrior, mission oriented, and I loved the various missions both he and Sarah undertook in this book.

Another great addition to this series. We get to see the 1st swarm in the mountains since the clubhouse is established. Fen'k is one of the hunters helping the clubhouse, mostly because Sarah is there.

Sarah thinks Fen'k is hot, but there is no way she is going down the relationship road again, knowing he will be just like all the other men she has trusted. Hot and in love and then it disappears.

When Fen'k makes her an offer she can't refuse, the question is if she wants to continue resisting.

A heart warming story of finding out what you truly want and need to be happy.

I am excited for the next one.

Fen'k is a Xarc'n Hunter. He's wanted Sarah from the moment he helped rescue her from raiders.
Sarah has been twiced burned by love and refuses to risk her heart again. But when Fen'k offers to help her find her son in exchange for giving the mating bond a chance she can't say no.

Fen'k is a patient hunter and works hard to win over Sarah while berating his body for not initiating the mating bond. She's his forever even if the mating bond doesn't trigger.

Sweet, touching alien romance in a world turned upside down by alien bugs.
