Mama says one cat is just right. But other cats needing homes keep showing up in their lives. Eventually, there's just too many cats, Mama draws the line and new homes are found for all but one cat.

An easy reader that has cats added in various groupings until they get to ten, and then subtracted in various groupings until it's back to one. The book doesn't feel too much like it was written just for the math elements. The cats are cute and the various ways they come/go are inventive. Addition and subtraction activities are included in the back of the book.

Mom liked reading and son enjoyed listening. Two(or would it be Four?) Thumbs up!
Enjoyed as an introduction to word problems. I enjoyed hearing the answers shouted out as we read along. The picture clues in the illustrations were great two and helped my kindergartener work out the more complicated topics, specifically the cats reflection in the mirror which doubles their number.
