IT WAS TOO RISKY… AND YET.

Tommy Medina thought he'd left his past behind and managed to start over. He was a few months into his fellowship, he had his hands full in more ways than one, and he had a harmless crush on a hot surgeon. His life was good.

But then the news came about his invalid visa. Now, he was about to lose everything he'd worked so hard for.

He definitely didn't expect his crush to come to his rescue, that was for sure.

Brandon Sherwood couldn't truly tell why he was so determined to help Tommy out. Sure, he'd made a promise to himself once, but was he really going to risk it all now for a barely more than a stranger?

Apparently so.

At the first glance, they were total opposites, but as their married life progressed, it turned out they fit better than either of them could ever expect. If only everything else was so easy…

Brandon and Tommy were good characters, no complained from me. Brandon was caring, kind hearted man and Tommy was adorable with his crush towards Brandon and great with babies.

Their story was good... at first but somehow it was lacking with romance! Yeah Brandon treated Tommy with good care but I just need more of their romantic interactions.

Tommy Medina left his past behind and started over so was a few months into his fellowship and even though his hands were full he had a crush on a hot surgeon so life was good for him. Then he received news that his visa was invalid and he was about to lose everything until his crush came to rescue him. Brandon Sherwood wasn't exactly sure why he was so determined to help Tommy especially as he was about to risk it all for someone who was almost a stranger. To look at them they were total opposites, but as their married life progressed, it turned out they fit better than either of them could ever expect. If only everything else was so easy.

I enjoyed this story of the two doctors who did not know each other apart from by reputation and passing in corridors but after one man's generosity had the perfect gift of love and affection. I loved the way that respect for each other was replaced by passion and then affection. I liked that there was no imbalance in their relationship even though Brandon was older and more senior. The twist with the nasty ex turning up was a nice one. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

I picked this book up because KU romance and I had fun with the first book in the series. It didn't blow me away but I do love this trope and the author has an easy writing style to get on with.

Tommy and Brandon are both doctors at Ruth's (the children's hospital from the previous book in the series) and there are some complications with Tommy's visa. So he and Brandon get married for a green card and then fall in love.

I feel like I'm saying the same thing for so many reviews but again, romance was cute, characters were fine, but any source of conflict is so easily resolved that it's barely a blip on the road. The biggest source of drama is because Tommy assumed something about Brandon's sister and left before he could hear anything different and then it was resolved as soon as he and Brandon had a conversation with Linda. Brandon's relationship with his family, the power dynamics, the green card, they're all easily solved and the fake marriage thing is barely a difficulty for them.

I am tempted to just finish this series but I feel like I would just end up giving the same review again.

I good book for listening to your heart but most importantly your instincts never lie!

Brandon the confident & grumpy doctor that coworkers respect but keep their distance. Tommy the shy doctor except around children that brings in the "baby whisper" reputation. Coworkers love him and call him sunshine. So we can see how sunshine cracked the darkness from the doctor. A bad event can turn into wonderful miracle. MM romance (not verse).

Higher stakes than in the previous volume and more complexity, too - this time the marriage is for immigration reasons, but the conflict is still light, because the characters are fundamentally good and trying their best. A light, enjoyable read.

Well done!

Both captivating and lovely, heroism reigns as Linden weaves yet another married-before-love story continuing the saga effortlessly at Ruths hospital. Well written with enough tension woven through-out to keep the reader engaged.

It was a good story with loveable characters. I liked the tension in the beginning. But I wished for more romance. When did the falling in love happen?
