I wanted to give this 5 stars but this version of the book pushed me down to 4. The text was too small and made my eyes fuzzy, I almost gave up! Definitely in need of a re-read.

I love Nabokov's way of writing, you almost want to feel sorry for Humbert even though he's a sadistic bastard with dirty-creepiness running right through him.

I can't write much of a review at the moment, since my mind blanked half of the book when I read it in this format, but I do remember loving it.

I really enjoyed this book. It was beautifully written, and the main character was interesting enough that I could ignore how much of a self-pitying, hopeless psycho he was. And I'm not just saying he's a psycho because he fell in love with a 12 year old. Everything about the way his brain worked made him insane. Anyway, I recommend this book. Definitely worth the read. ...more
