PS: I gave 4 stars insted of 5 just because Goodreads don't let us give half star. The book lost one star just because the Ren from "Only When It's Us" didn't felt the same as the Ren from "Always Only You". Even so I REALLY recommend this series!...more

The last Christina Lauren's book that I read was a huge disapointment (Twice in a Blue Moon) and because of that I was a scare to read their second to last book (The Honey-Don't List) so I skipped straight to "In a Holidaze" because who doesen't love a romance story during the holidays? So expatation was high.
A totally a "Groundhog Day" type of story (they even reference it) but it's never really explain why it happen and my brain craves explaination. As for the romance I was going back and forfth between rooting for Theo and rooting for Andrew. I think it was too much feeling in so little time and for that I didn't really believe in the romance between Maisie and Andrew. I accepted and understand Maisie's feelings, but Andrew's was maybe a bit too much? And his reaction to the truth about with Theo and Maisie it felt like he was just expecting a opening to get out.. I don't know I'm conflited about this book. And also, I really wanted to see more of the family and their interactions. But I like that are internal jokes and nicknames that aren't explain like: Noodle or Mandrew.
At the end of the day, I liked the book but it isn't in my favorites shelf. I had a good time. PS: that quote at the beginning of this review hit me in a way... WOW
If you just want a book to read and relax get happens during the holidays than this is the one for you....more
Why I waited so long to read this book? The writing, the characters, the mythology... was amazing and creative. Can't wait to read the next one.

Great characters, funny banter, amazing chemistry, awesome humor and who doesn't like a 'reunion' story?
-Olive is so quirky but she outgoing, strong and she does what she wants. I love that she doesn't fell head over heels for Carter. -Carter is also amazing, not being a jerk or the steriotipical jock. His humor is a bit like Olive's which I like very much and obviously is a great match. -Carter's twin Caitlyn is incredible. And a tip: read An Ex for Christmas before.
My problem with Lauren Layne's books always will be that either she creates what it seams like a past full of drama and then NEVER deepened it. Or she writes the problems/past of charecters very superfially and that don't really matter to the story. I've read pretty much all of her books, they are cute and sweet and feel good, so at this point I've stopped hoping/expected more depth from her. Now it doesn't bother me anymore. But if you are someone that needs that deeper connection with the charecters than maybe this book is not for you.
If you only want a feel good book THIS is definitely the one for you.
PS: Can't wait for book 3 "Yours for Always" Jarod's story is finally coming!...more
