I think the writer also knows there is a bit of predictability and did some things to try and shake it up a bit at the end so there is a bit of a surprise which worked well enough for me....more

I have mixed feeling about this book. Very well written but it was hard to take anything away from it other than, "Sometimes life really sucks, and thI have mixed feeling about this book. Very well written but it was hard to take anything away from it other than, "Sometimes life really sucks, and then you die." Maybe I just didn't have the intellect to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this book. It took me two and a half weeks to get through which is a really long time for me. It is a decent size book, 900ish pages in comparison to the average 400 page books a I read. But still. It started slow, got interesting but sad, and then stayed sad, and although I don't mind tear jerking books, this one had little else to offer....more
