Howard's Splintered trilogy. The series follows teenager, Alyssa Gardner, as she uncovers the secrets of Wonderland and her family. Unhinged was a filler, no doubt about it. Nothing really happened. A few secrets were revealed and you could see how everything would lead up to the last book, but mostly there was drama and confusion between Alyssa and her relationships with others. There was some character development, though. I'm not going to say who the characters were because it might spoil some events, but it was interesting to see these characters grow. The setting is in the normal modern world and not in Wonderland which was disappointing, but from the ending you can tell the last book will be in Wonderland. I didn't love this book, but I definitely didn't hate it. It made me excited to read the last book in the series. I recommend this book, but don't go into expecting a lot of action.

I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the final book "Ruin and Rising".
In "Siege and Storm", we see Alina and Mal's life soon after the ending of the first book. It was interesting to see them try to continue their lives after what happened in the Fold.
We also meet some new characters, such as Sturmhond. I loved his character so much and can't wait to see more of him. We also see relationships ruined. This was heartbreaking and I hope the two characters make up soon. We don't get much character development, though, it's more like character destruction. Events and other things start to change the characters and its definitely not for the better. I enjoyed reading about it though.
The only thing I didn't enjoy much about the book was the ending. The last 20 pages were amazing, but the last few were very underwhelming. Everything else was amazing. I can't was to read " Ruin and Rising" and know what the conclusion is to this excellent series.
