I appreciated the accessible writing, learning more about the science behind Dr. Lyon’s approach, and the many options presented throughout for meals and exercises. Recommended to anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of health and fitness or for a reset/new way of approaching eating and exercising.

Leigh can’t quite believe she got into a MFA program that accepts five poetry students a year. She is intimidated and excited until she finds out that her high school crush, whose criticism she has never forgotten (or quite gotten over), is part of her cohort. Things are awkward for a while, then they become a little friendly, and there seems to be potential for more if only Leigh and Will can learn to open up.
This was a joy to read. I adored the MFA/poetry writing plot. Leigh’s analyses of Will’s work to see if he was writing about her was funny (and somehow relatable). I also loved the little written comments and messages back and forth during workshop sessions and how their relationship progressed (though it also zigzagged, perhaps one too many times). Leigh and Will are so different and yet make so much sense together thanks to the author’s thoughtful storytelling. 4.5 stars.

A lovely tribute to romance novels and a variety of tropes. The setting in Alaska was vividly portrayed and somehow felt cozy despite how freezing the temps were.
Margot and Forrest have oodles of chemistry and it was a delight to witness their interactions and relationship development. They are both dealing with their own professional and personal woes and it was easy to root for their happiness (as individuals and as a couple).
I am excited to read whatever the author writes next - what a charming debut!

Ali is still figuring out what she wants to do with her life. She only, very rarely, hardly ever reminisces about the charming British man she met while studying abroad at years ago. So when she sees him at her local coffee spot in Baltimore, Ali can't help but think it's a sign from the universe. But the universe has other plans as Graham is engaged and has unknowingly hired Ali's company to plan his wedding...
This was a joyful read. Ali and Graham are opposites and it was lovely to see them bring out the best in one another.

She spends most of her time and money obsessing over planes and thinks she is fated to marry one. When her coworker (and possibly her only friend) invites her to a vision board party, Linda sees an opportunity to fast forward her destiny.
This made me laugh, it made me feel uncomfortable, and I truly could never guess what was coming next. If you’re at all intrigued by the premise, give it a try!

A charming rom-com that had me smiling and eagerly awaiting Grace’s and Eric’s transition from former friends and current enemies/workplace foes to lovers. There is fun banter throughout and the concept of Grace and Eric beta testing the perfect dates for the launch of a new app was done well though I wish there had been even more dates portrayed. Overall, a delightful romance! 4.5 stars.

This was tender and hopeful. Lenny’s sense of humor kept this from feeling overly heavy though I didn’t fully see what Miles saw in her. Miles is a sweetheart and it was lovely to see him open up as he supports Lenny through her grieving process. Overall, a sweet romance between two people who seem destined for one another. 3.5 stars.

A promising debut romance! This was a quick, exciting read with an unusual forced proximity scenario. When Piper’s flight to the Bahamas for her best A promising debut romance! This was a quick, exciting read with an unusual forced proximity scenario. When Piper’s flight to the Bahamas for her best friend’s wedding is cancelled, she begrudgingly accepts Wyatt’s (former love of her life and her best friend’s cousin) offer to fly her to the island in time for all the ceremonies in a tiny private plane. It doesn’t seem possible for things to be more uncomfortable until they crash land on an uninhabited island and fight for survival (while also fighting with each other about they way they handled their relationship all those years ago).
Even though the plot features desert island survival, the story has a lighthearted feel and it’s clear that Piper and Wyatt, while not a match on paper, are a great fit in reality. I wish we had seen more of Wyatt’s and Piper’s relationship develop and that there was more focus on the present versus the use of flashbacks. Fans of second chance and forced proximity will find plenty to enjoy. 3.5 stars.
