HE WAITED 10 YEARS FOR HER BECAUSE SHE TOLD HIM SHE WANTED SOMEONE TO WAIT FOR HER AND FOR HER TO BE WORTH THE WAIT.
10 years!! spoiling her from afar!! scaring away all potential love prospects!! building her dream house!! protecting her in secret!!
he was just as unhinged as the alliance men by sj tilly so if you like that series you will love this.
also this is silly, over the top, entertaining kind of billionaire where he’s definitely a red flag but he just loves her and wants to give her everything she wants forever and it’s SO FUN ...more

gave me big grey’s anatomy vibes if one single man (besides george) on grey’s wasn’t partly or hadn’t been a piece of shit at some point. henry and whitney have one perfect night together after she crashed his best friend’s wedding and he searched the guest list high and low to try and reconnect but never found her… until he starts another round of his residency and what do you know? whitney’s the attending.
henry was P E R F E C T start to finish. the man was filthy but also ridiculously sweet and understanding and just wanted to hold the pumpkins she bought at the farmer’s market ok!!! and together, they were so funny and perfect.
this did drag a little bit during certain parts and i felt like the conflict kinda came out of nowhere but i still highly recommend for a great story and a GREAAAAT book man. ...more
GOD, no one writes like soulmates like elizabeth o’roark, i swear. harrison and daisy are like matching pieces from two MY FAVORITE IN THE SERIESSSSS
GOD, no one writes like soulmates like elizabeth o’roark, i swear. harrison and daisy are like matching pieces from two different puzzles… they shouldn’t fit so perfectly but god, do they ever.
daisy is lying to everyone in her life and currently has no plans and no place to stay so… she plans to crash on the deck of her uncle’s best friend’s house while he’s in LA. except, when she gets there, he is very much not in LA and has been keeping secrets of his own. SO NATURALLY, she blackmails him into giving her a place to stay because gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss.
harrison: grumpy, sullen (currently), damaged, broody, workaholic, loves to avoid daisy + daisy: sunshine, flies by the seat of her pants, would rather surf than work, loves to find harrison anyway and annoy him = the perfect match
WHEN I TELL YOU, they built the most genuine, real, soulmate level connection, i could not deal. and it builds up over a delicious, banter and tension filled slow burn but when the fire gets going, they are ELECTRIC.
100000000/10
AGE GAP EXPLANATION SINCE I KNOW Y’ALL TEND TO DRAMATICIZE -
they are eleven years apart. he is her uncle’s best friend. he references being around her while she was growing up. that’s because he’s obviously conflicted about their age difference and his relationship with her uncle. if you don’t like age gap, you won’t like it, so don’t read it because you don’t get to complain about something you willingly read. if you do like age gap, READ IT, it is so well done.
and slight ***spoiler***
since i saw someone commented on the age gap + the title, the title is referencing him seeing her in this new light as if he’s truly seeing her for the first time. don’t make things creepy that aren’t xoxo ...more
if i was ever important enough to have my quote praising an author on/in a book, my quotes for stephanie archer would be to the tune of:
“no one writesif i was ever important enough to have my quote praising an author on/in a book, my quotes for stephanie archer would be to the tune of:
“no one writes praise like stephanie archer”
“if aladdin’s genie were real and i was granted three wishes, i’d only need one - give me a stephanie archer man”
“stephanie archer, pls write my obituary” (in like 80 years, universe)
she just writes a perfect book and i will stand ten toes behind that for the rest of my life and the wingman just confirmed that, once again.
edit because it’s time for a full review✨
friends to lovers lovers, you will rejoice
friends to lovers haters, prepare to be converted!!!
hayden and darcy are everything to me. these two had me laughing and blushing throughout this entire book and i just love this whole team and their witty girls so dang much.
darcy just got out a long relationship where she had to tamp down her personality and now she’s living with her best friend, hayden. hayden never does relationships so she has the brilliant idea to ask him to teach her how to be a player. the problem? darcy is hayden’s dream girl so watching her try to date around is… a challenge for him to say the least.
once again, this confirmed that no one writes praise like stephanie archer. why? because while we get all the bedroom praise classics (and some fun variations), she writes heroes that are funny and arrogant but are THE most supportive men for their women. darcy is a math nerd and hayden is like, i could listen to you talk about numbers all day xoxo.
these two had SO many moments that made me audibly laugh out loud and their friendship was such a strong foundation for the most SIZZLING chemistry.
if you haven’t gotten on the stephanie archer train yet, what more can i say!!!! ...more
hailey and cody knew each other years ago when he worked on her father’s ranch but when he gets involvedthis story sucked me right in and i loved it!
hailey and cody knew each other years ago when he worked on her father’s ranch but when he gets involved in something shady to help his struggling family, he has to leave for good. untilllll, hailey moves into the rental next door with her daughter and just so happens to start working at the ranch he’s developing. when her dangerous ex starts prowling around, cody decides they’ve had enough time apart and moves himself in.
i don’t know what you’d consider this subgenre, not motorcycle club but maybe suspense-y, gritty, small town romance? idk but it is really fun to read and this one was no exception. cody was so obsessed with her and was so flirty and funny while also being so protective and sweet to her and her daughter. also the plot twist reallllyyyyyy got me!...more
this book was simply a delight from start to finish. i was smiling the entire time i read it and it is a PERFECT beach read for summer!!!
klein and pathis book was simply a delight from start to finish. i was smiling the entire time i read it and it is a PERFECT beach read for summer!!!
klein and paisley shared one drunken kiss in college but a small phone mishap led to them… never speaking again. imagine paisley’s surprise when she’s out for her sister’s bachelorette party (who’s getting married to her ex!!!) and she runs into klein again and now has the opportunity to not show up single to her ex’s wedding. what could go wrong?
me? loving a blonde man? stop the presses. but klein was truly that good!!!!! he was so obsessed with her and never hesitated to stand up for her to her family of assholes (to be candid). paisley is a people-pleaser extraordinaire and i loved that even if he didn’t understand why she let people walk over her, he still supported her no matter what.
this book is funny, sexy, sweet, and just a giggly fun time!!! ...more

landen’s been pining after ellie, a bull rider training at his family’s ranc4.5 stars - i truly had no idea where this one was going but i LOVED it!!
landen’s been pining after ellie, a bull rider training at his family’s ranch, since he saw her but she’s hated him since the moment they met and won’t tell him why. when ellie gets into an accident, her attitude towards him does a total 180 and he’s delighted to have a second chance but they’re both worried that her past hatred will catch up with them.
i don’t want to give anything away because this is a really good one to go in mostly blind too (besides triggers) but this was seriously so good. i could tell where it was going with her hatred but it kept me on my toes the entire time and landen was a 10/10 perfect book boyfriend. he was funny and goofy and down so bad for ellie even though she told him repeatedly she hated him. ...more
