Well - okay - not plain and not simple but a well crafted, well written denouement. I cried and I laughed. BUT - I really missed the mystery element. There were a couple real good lead ins that left me wondering, but no detecting. The author has deffinately written a book that clearly says this is the wrap up, BUT I am starting with a new couple. I love it when the resolution does not slap you in the face but plays hide and seek. There were so many possibilities here. Fortunately the one dimensional MCs started to develop depth as their backstory was revealed bit by bit. I still think Aslan is an immature ass in many ways, but now I get why and what drives him. In the same way the reader slowly gets a grasp on Quaid. Since this is a slow burn romance built on instant lust over a series this slow development makes sense. I ended up at 5 because the story is just that good....more
