Widower Lark accepts a new job in Ireland and ends up neighbours with the local funeral home, owned by the shy and introverted Callum. Callum has a slight predicament; he can only keep the family business if he marries by the age of 35 which is only a couple of months away. Lark and Callum become friends and as their friendship grows, so does their attraction.
I adored every single thing about this book. The plot, the writing, the pacing and the characters. Callum was just such a fun and lovable MMC, and I loved the banter between our main characters. Morbidly Yours is full of heart and grief, with a dash of humour. Lark made me want to strangle her and hug her.
Would recommend this book if you're looking for a contemporary romance to help you out of your slump! I already want to reread this one. ...more

West was an excellent MMC and he's tied with Ford in the Rose Hill Series. His dirty mouth was PERFECION. Daddy Cade and Cole, your positions remain safe as Elsie Silvers Top MMC's (didn't doubt you for a moment).
The storyline wasn't my favourite but Skylar and West were such fun characters I honestly didn't mind.
Hugely excited for the next book in this series. I know Rhys is going to deliver all the daddy vibes .

I hate second chance romances, and even more when its for a completely stupid and unrealistic reason. Genuinely, it pissed me off so much I wasn't even rooting for the main couple.
My least favourite of the series and my least favourite couple. A disappointing ending to the Queen Cove's series.

Sadie was such a fun character and I loved how she brought out a naughty side in Holden. Easily my favourite couple of the series so far and their chemistry was amazing.
I will say, the third-act break-up was frustrating and it felt really unnecessary for the story. Would loved to have seen them work through Sadie's commitment issues rather than use it as a tool to force them apart for the last 10% of the book.
Can't wait for Finn x Olivia's story. The hints throughout the series have me rushing to read book 4!

What a fabulous start to the Rose Hill Series! Ford x Rosie were perfect. PERFECT!
This is probably one of the easiest 5 stars I've given for a while.
There's something about a socially awkward MMC who also acts like a complete DADDY that just hits right. I adored everything about him, and his relationship with his daughter was adorable. Elsie Silver writes the best MMC's.
Rosie was hilarious and knew how to put Ford in his place! She is the perfect love interest for Ford, and their banter was so clever and enjoyable. Elsie managed to write dialogue that didn't feel overly mean, and held a lot of sexual tension.
The side characters were brilliant, the bowling team especially, and you also get to meet the MMC for book 2. The sneak peak had me kicking my feet in excitement, and I cannot wait for Wild Eyes. However, the best character was Ford's daughter, our little storm cloud. I won't say too much but I fell in love with her so quickly!
Whilst the storyline was basic, I really didn't mind (or notice that much) because the characters were so enjoyable! I feel like I could talk about the banter between Rosie and Ford all day, but Elsie Silver really outdid herself with this one. I loved having two characters that matched each other's energy perfectly, whilst being complete opposites. The work emails between the two of them had me cackling. Plus, the smutty scenes were *insert fire emoji*. DADDY FORD CERTAINLY HAS A WAY WITH WORDS... and pens!
Tropes: - Single dad - Small town romance - Frenemies-to-lovers vibes - Best friend's little sister / brother's best friend - Billionnaire romance - Workplace romance (boss/employee) - Grumpy x sunshine - 'He's always cared for her' vibes

Ada is not interested in settling down any time soon. She's recently divorced and hoping to develop her career as an interior designer so when her college friend offers her a job opportunity, she jumps at the chance. Except when she arrives at the ranch, she discovers her boss Wes is none other than the cowboy she got a little frisky with in the dive bar the night before.
Wes is golden-retriever energy through and through. I adored him in book 2 and was excited to read his story. Ada is a bit of grump who wants to get the job done, but can't deny there's a connection between her and Wes. I adored Ada and I loved watching her develop friendships with the other women in this book! And I loved seeing bits and pieces of Brooks & Emmy!
I didn't connect with this story as much as I did with Done & Dusted, but the pacing was a lot stronger in this book!

I was both excited and anxious for this book.
I loved Gus and Teddy the moment they started arguing with each other in book 1, and I needed their story to be perfect. AND LYLA SAGE DELIVERED.
A single dad x nanny romance was the perfect story for them. The plot, the development, the tension was so well-done and you can see the growth in Lyla Sage's writing. This is definitely her strongest book to-date.
Gus x Teddy have to be my favourite in the series and Lyla has set the scene for book 4 perfectly. I am beyond excited for Dusty x Cam's book.

Emmy returns to her families ranch after a traumatic accident leaves her too scared to ride. Brooks is an honorary member of the Ryder family, and the bad boy of Meadowlark, who spent his childhood antagonising Emmy. Now Brooks is determined to understand why Emmy has returned home after all this time, whilst also trying to keep his hands off his best friends little sister.
I adore small-town romances, especially with the added bonus of cowboys, and this book was so much fun. I loved Emmy and Brooks as characters, and I loved them even more together.
My only issue with this book was the pacing felt slightly rushed. I would have loved a bit more of a build-up between Emmy and Brooks, but maybe that's because I just love a little bit of angst and tension.
However, this is a perfect easy-read for those who small-town romances and cowboys. I can already say that my favourite will be Teddy & Gus' story!

I didn't know if Emmy Sanders could write another book that the emotional depth and heart that Fool Hearts did but good lord, this book had me tearing up after every chapter.

I enjoyed the first 7o odd pages but then everything just became ridiculous!
The story was a mess and the romantic relationship between Tessa and Nick was rushed, and lacked any chemistry. I wasn't even interested in the murder mystery as it was just so unbelievable. Tessa's lack of reaction to finding dead bodies was just so odd and made it feel like a minor inconvenience to the plot. "Oh, a dead body in my basement... anyway, better open up the diner!" "Oh, I've just been in a shooting... better open up the diner!" I just wanted so much more from all the characters.
