That being said, I had difficulty with this one. I don’t like humiliation/punishment. If you do, this might be a book you would enjoy. YMMV. For my Safety Squad, this one is not one I would recommend. I did give it three stars because it was not badly written, but I didn’t enjoy it.

Tropes- Captor/Captive, Rescue, One Night Stand, Surprise Pregnancy, Hitman Baby One More Time, He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva Thoughts- I hated this book. The “Hero” was blatantly sexist, which I could have dealt with by disliking him. But he talked to the heroine in a way that I found to be verbally abusive. That I don’t want to read.

Length- Novella Heat- Hot as Cat’s Stats FMC- Addie Kingsley Main Love Interest- Eli Gold Genre- Mafia Romance Series? Y. Part Two of a six part serial. Length- Novella Heat- Hot as Hades but with sweet moments. Duo, not trio this time. Light kink. Safety- Nope. Nope. Nope. Discussion of past sharing. Implied S. Violence. Cliffhanger. Triggers- Graphic Violence, Implied Gang S.A., Kidnapping, Murder, Dinner Parties. Tropes- Meet the New Boss, Friends to Lovers, Love Connection, Enemy Whack-a-Mole, Badass Heroine. Cat’s Thoughts What I liked- The heroine. She’s smart, sassy, strong, and a wee bit psychotic. I enjoyed the love story and the loving relationship she had with her father. I thought her entrepreneurship was admirable and her idea for a s. club genius. What I didn’t- we all have our triggers, no? Verdict- compulsion to read the next installment.

Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, Bachelorette Auction (Trafficking), Captor/Captive, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (Note: One-Steve Limit means that a) no two characters have the same first name and b) the names are so distinctive that there’s no way two characters would have those same names.)
What I liked- the story started right off with a major action sequence. It never got boring. I like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience.
What I didn’t- Why, oh why, do people think that water is a lubricant?
Verdict- interested in reading the next installment.

Heat- ☄️☄️ They do the thing and name the parts using the P word.
Series? Y. This is part two of a six-part serial novel.

Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, Captor/Captive, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
What I liked- I like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience.
What I didn’t- I’m impressed that the heroine didn’t lay a smackdown when those ladies were cheerful at her right after she woke up. Anybody that thinks it’s okay to just walk into my bathroom can go step on a Lego barefoot.
Verdict- interested in reading the next installment.
PART THREE
MMC/FMC- Adan and Brenna
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Paranormal Romance
Sub Genre- Shifters
Length- Novella/Short Story
Bonus- Free Book
Heat- ☄️☄️ They do the thing and name the parts without using the P word or the female C word.
Series? Y. This is part three of a six-part serial novel.
Safety: No cheating, no S. Violence, no sharing, but there is OW drama, Ends in a cliffhanger.
Triggers- Mention of Trafficking, VLanguage, Explicit Erotic Content, Waxing.
Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, Jealousy Games, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?, Food Porn
What I liked- I love the concept of the Pack Luna. And I’m glad she gave up on the jealousy games. I like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience.
What I didn’t- The Hero’s choice in dress clothes is usually not very creative. He wears a dark gray suit and a shirt in a shade of blue. Although he gets props for wearing the tux to the ceremony. In contrast, the Heroine has a glam squad that even gets her ready for a date (including waxing. Ouch!).
Note- the chef’s name is Caesar, so I’m waiting for a salad joke.
Verdict- interested in reading the next installment.
PART FOUR
MMC/FMC- Adan and Brenna
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Paranormal Romance
Sub Genre- Shifters
Length- Novella/Short Story
Bonus- Free Book
Heat- ☄️☄️ They do the thing and name the parts using the P word.
Series? Y. This is part four of a six-part serial novel.
Safety: No cheating, no S. Violence, no sharing, but there is OM and OW drama, Ends in a cliffhanger.
Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?, ERA.
What I liked- Good battle sequence. Heroine is delightfully badass. I’m glad they learned to compromise. I like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience.
What I didn’t- the OM drama fizzled. He could have taken lessons from the OW of this serial. But, it’s better for the story that he didn’t.
Note- The Caesar Salad joke… wait for it… oh. Not really funny.
Verdict- interested in reading the next installment.
PART FIVE
MMC/FMC- Adan and Brenna
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Paranormal Romance
Sub Genre- Shifters
Length- Novella/Short Story
Bonus- Free Book
Heat- ☄️☄️ They do the thing and name the parts using the P word.
Series? Y. This is part five of a six-part serial novel.
Safety: No cheating, no S. Violence, no sharing, but there is OW drama. Ends in a cliffhanger.
Triggers- Language, Explicit Erotic Content
Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?, Going to the Chapel of Love, All About the Benedicts.
What I liked- The Hero watched a chick flick with the Heroine and got romantic, which gave me the feels. And the thing about the thumb and the left hand was… interesting. And there was another gray suit, but he wore a different colored shirt this time! I do like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience.
What I didn’t- This book made me realize that some of my attitudes are sexist. You see, I’m shocked when one of the good guys gets violent with a woman who isn’t a bad guy. Trying not to give spoilers here, but obviously not succeeding. Let’s just say that I saw a side of a certain character that I don’t like very much. And I see shades of Mary Sue coming out in the heroine, but it’s too early to tell. Anyway…. for all of this, I mentally removed half a star, but I always round up, so…. And Dominic, if he’s such a good friend to Adan AND the Pack Beta, why the hell haven’t we seen him before?
Verdict- interested in reading the next installment.
PART SIX
MMC/FMC- Adan and Brenna
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Paranormal Romance
Sub Genre- Shifters
Length- Novella/Short Story
Bonus- Free Book
Heat- ☄️☄️ They do the thing several times and name the parts whilst using the P word. I’d have given it another half star if it didn’t get so awkward when they talked after/during.
Series? Y. This is part six of a six-part serial novel.
Safety: No cheating, no S. Violence, no sharing, but there is OW drama. No cliffhanger, HEA.
Tropes- Fated Mates, Alpha Male, Badass Heroine, One-Steve Limit, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?, Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace, Which Witch is Which?
What I liked- I like serial novels. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d read one installment a day to savor the experience. I like that Magenta (One-Steve Limit) got her own love.
What I didn’t- The serial had been good up to this point. But the author fell into the Mary Sue trap and powered the heroine up unnaturally- too suddenly, too much, and without much of the accompanying lore. Some of the battle scenes were strangely anticlimactic. And I’m all about communication during zexytime, but the talk between the MMC and FMC was painfully awkward, especially in between and after zexytimes. They literally had the “was it good for you” convo several times. For once, it would have been sexier if the guy had just rolled over and gone to sleep. They also talked like teenagers when they complimented each other. Lots of “you’re ”. “No, you are!” I know she’s only 18, but what’s his excuse?
Verdict- I’m straight up disappointed with the ending. Deducted a star.

I have no idea how this book got five star reviews. I thought it was poorly written and uninteresting. Here’s the breakdown: MMC/FMC- Mark and Tasha POVI have no idea how this book got five star reviews. I thought it was poorly written and uninteresting. Here’s the breakdown: MMC/FMC- Mark and Tasha POV- 1st person dual Genre-Contemporary Romance Sub Genre- Mafia elements Bonus- link to free book Iiuiubvu (my cat just walked across my keyboard) Heat- IKEA sex without naming the parts specifically Series? Y Safety: s. violence is mentioned but not detailed. No cheating, no sharing, attempted OM drama. Cliffhanger. HEA/HFN. Triggers- Language, violence, sex (I usually say “explicit erotic content” but the sexual content is neither explicit nor erotic), mention of s. a. Without details. Tropes- Do Si Do With The Mafioso, Hitman Romance, IKEA Sex, If It’s A Day Ending In A Y She’ll Be Kidnapped Again. What I thought- what an awful little book. The main characters are brats. They spend a lot of time doing nothing. And the heroine is lucky that the bad guy is more talk than action. The side characters are not likable. I think Jake tried to mess with her just to be a Alphahole. Or maybe to add drama to a tedious book? Don’t know and don’t care. There are grammar errors, which put me more on edge than the supposed cliffhanger. I guess technically it was a cliffhanger, but by that point in the book I didn’t care about any of the characters, so it wasn’t suspenseful. The zexytime content was in the IKEA sex vein- written like the characters are following assembly instructions. Lots of “This Happened, And Then This Happened”. I rounded up the previous book’s rating by half a star. I should have rounded down because the series doesn’t improve. There were two cool things, so I gave the book two stars. First, there’s a female Mafia Don, but we don’t interact with her. Second, they name check Jackie Chan (All Hail Jackie Chan!). Verdict- in case you haven’t guessed, I don’t recommend this book. I’m not even going to bother with book three.
