(side note: highly recommend the curriculum he's got, plus the podcast) ... truly a great book and has made demonstrable changes already in how i think, how i explain things to others, how i practice my actual faith .. God is using this book and i pray he continues to .. ...more

really great book .. some classic King stuff in here .. i'd give it a 5, but it's perhaps a bit overlong .. i didn't mind some of the side-track stuffreally great book .. some classic King stuff in here .. i'd give it a 5, but it's perhaps a bit overlong .. i didn't mind some of the side-track stuff .. in general, i think it fleshed out the whole idea .. but for me even more focus on the assassination "mystery" aspect of things and a tighter plot would've made it even better .. prob still have to have the "romance" side-plot to have the ending come out .. but overall it was really great...more

(cosmological . prob of consciousness . transcendental type args .. the understanding of God being pure being and consciousness joined . how beauty / bliss ties into this .. and the circling back to maybe my biggest takeaway: that the mystery of being is vital, but we push it down .. we are called to be watchful .. contemplative prayer and other ways to help with this are key .. just too much else to say .. excellent book...more
very good . super literate . i read it over too much time (ha!) i think, so some of the impact may have been lost on me .. i liked his book *you are wvery good . super literate . i read it over too much time (ha!) i think, so some of the impact may have been lost on me .. i liked his book *you are what you love* better, personally .. the later few chapters were good though .. seeing ourselves basically in the right context, re time .. seasons of life .. and especially situated in God's story, which is a story of redeemed temporal history .. the Christian story, ie, is not one of escapism to "another world" .. but a story of remaking this world, including its events in time .. the musings on time and how we're made by it .. how we become a mosaic of events and connections in time, etc. were all very reminiscent of the types of things i was going for in this book : https://www.amazon.com/row-your-boat-... .. shameless plug to prob no one, so why not ? : )...more
