A blank is the only thing I draw well. - T-SHIRT
"A girl, a mocha latte, and a naked dead man walked into a bar," I said, turning to the naked dead man sitting on my passenger seat. The elderly naked dead man who'd been riding shotgun in my cherry red Jeep Wrangler, aka Misery, for two days now. We were on a stakeout. Sort of. I was staking out a Mr. and Mrs. Foster, so I was definitely on a stakeout. No idea what Naked Dead Man was on. Considering the fact that he looked about 112, probably blood thinners. Cholesterol medication. And judging from the state of his manhood, which I couldn't stop seeing every single time I turned toward him, Viagra. If I were to hashtag that moment, my status would read something like #impressed.
Another fantabulous installment in the awesome Charley Davidson series. The sassiest Grim Reaper on this side of the world! This one was even more special as it had Reyes PoV at the end. At times I want to kick Reyes about getting all alpha male on Charley but I can't help being in love with him. I want more from his perspective.
Charley has a lot going on. There's a naked dead man riding shotgun in her jeep. There's a missing child case and that child might be her nigh fiancé Reyes Farrows. She is trying to get Uncle Bob and Cookie together. Strangers break into her home and threaten her and her roommate Mr. Wong is no help. Nobody knows who he really is but seems like he is a very powerful entity.
Charley gets a case where a man sold his soul to the devil, which lead her to a Demon known as The Dealer. And he has a lot of information that Charley can use. Some of the mystery surrounding Charley was explained but there is a lot more to find out. And the ending, OMG! I'm going to start the next book ay-sap. This series is getting bigger and better....more

After the disappointing second book of this series I wasn't too keen on reading this one. But it turned out to be fabulous! Jane and her boyfriend/sire is on a romantic vacation in Europe. But it turns into a messy break-up and Jane returns home. I always thought that Gabriel was a bit stuffy and I was happy to see Jane dump him and carry on with her life. Her book store is a success and she joins the Chamber of Commerce or more likely The Cult of Courtneys, to further promote it. Her ten years reunion is coming up and she has to deal with her former boss's neurotic nephew. And she's getting anonymous letters to keep her away from Gabriel.
There was far less drama from Jane's meddlesome family. Reminds me a lot about my own delusional family. Reading those scenes made me cringe. Zeb and Jolene are having twins and it's Jane's job to keep Zeb's mom away from the room. That was so hilarious! Jane is so luck to have such amazing friends. Especially Dick. He is priceless!
"I Tased Gabriel!" I blurted. "Sweet!" Dick shouted. Andrea shot him an annoyed look. "Right, sorry." Dick tried to look remorse-stricken, but the minute Andrea's back was turned, he gave me an enthusiastic double thumbs-up.
Whenever Dick appears he out-shines every character. His scenes are the best ones!...more
This was not as much fun as the first book. The whole book was dedicated to family drama and Jolene and Zeb's nuptials. Really disappointing!3.5 Stars
This was not as much fun as the first book. The whole book was dedicated to family drama and Jolene and Zeb's nuptials. Really disappointing! Well, anything that has Titanic theme is bound to sink. Jane's family and Mama Ginger really got on my nerves, I wanted to beat some sense into them. Jane's snark was the only thing that saved this book. Not enough Dick and Gabriel! I can read a whole book with just Jane and Dick's banter in it even if it doesn't have any plot. I hope the next one will have more of the gang and less of the relatives....more

Another awesome instalment. This one has so much going on. Charley is suffering from severe PTSD after what Earl Walker did to her. But a girl needs to eat so she has taken Harper's case. Demons are possessing people to get to Charley. She is not speaking to her father. Reyes is another issue. Caring for the Son of Satan is no piece of cake. I must say I wasn't ready for the twist about Harper. It broke my heart. Gonna miss the Bandits. And I lost my heart to Quentin. The dynamics between Cookie and Charley is so good. Going for the next book. ...more

My name is Charlotte Davidson. Charley to some, Charlotte the Harlot to others, but that was mostly in middle school. I came with a decent set of curves, a healthy respect for the male anatomy, and a slightly disturbing addiction to brown edibles. Other than that I also been born the grim reaper- I was about as normal as a surly girl with a private investigator's license could be.
Gosh, I missed Charley! The third book in this highly addictive series is hilarious and a bit darker than the others. Apart from Charley being betrayed by men she loved most and being tortured within an inch of her life, it's another instalment about the everyday adventures of the sassiest grim reaper. Charley is working on a case of a missing wife. Meanwhile she is also dealing with her dysfunctional family and a very hawt but highly pissed-off Son of Satan, Reyes Farrows swoon! So Reyes escaped from prison and Charley has to find his dad, who was supposed to be dead, but is not-so-dead. While she is out solving cases, she makes out with a sexy biker gang, gets beaten by a psychotic doctor and came an inch of losing her life.... totally normal day for Charley. And a certain silver eyed skip tracer gets a glimpse of the supernatural world of Charley. Loved Artemis and the biker gang were cool. Starting the next book ay sap....more
