I loved following the Riva family from the very beginning and the flashback stories of how their family came to be. Their story made me feel all sorts of emotions.
Nina's speech at the end was the most satisfying thing ever. She is definitely my favorite Riva with Kit being a close second ;)
I would say the only thing that is keeping me from rating it at a full 5 stars was once the party started, there was a lot of party guests that arrived and their story was included which I thought had nothing to do with the overall plot or really relating to the Riva family. Unnecessary information drawing away from the main story....more

I really had to power-through to finish this book and it took a lot out of me to not DNF it. First of all, nothing really happened in the 358 pages. January and Gus's relationship as very awkward from the beginning and I didn't feel connected to them at all. Honestly, I was annoyed with January for most of the book. Teenage Macy was getting on my nerves, though; she had no confidence or trust with Elliot when they were young. She was always questioning or passively joking and asking Elliot if he was seeing other girls. Like GIRL stop being so pathetically insecure.
The poor excuse as to why Elliot was caught... it got my blood boiling. Unacceptable. Unforgivable. I would never reach out to him again if I was Macy....more

I felt like this was definitely a fan service book for all the CoHort fans who have been shipping Lily and Atlas since the first book. CoHo did mention that in her note in the beginning that she wrote a sequel just because of the tik tok/social media pleas to see their happy ending together.
I honestly thought that it could have just ended with the first book and I did enjoy IEWU more than ISWU since it had more substance.
I felt like I was getting a repeat of what happened in the first book when Atlas reads Lily's journal. I'm not going to lie, I skimmed through those letters.

Every page had me shaking my head. Full of disappointment until the end. I couldn't stand Tate throughout the entire book. Every other chapter felt like it was a "spicy moment". The story has no depth and it just bored me. Every chapter was basically the same. They have sex, Tate feels sad, Miles regrets doing it and repeat.
I didn't enjoy any bit of the story and my motivation of finishing this book is to make sure it stayed bad and I can't write a 1 star review for this book....more
