And if that's not enough, there's mystery, danger, intrigue, romance, and so much more. And dino bones! When I was a kid I was fascinated by dinosaurs (which I think most kids are lol). Let me tell you that Eliza makes me want to go dig up bones. I mean, hopefully there isn't as much danger as she went through lol, but I think it'd be fun!
I can't write a review without saying how much I just loved Devin. His love for Eliza, respect for her family, willingness to put his feelings aside to help her.......I mean talk about a great hero. He is/was amazing. He had his own hurdles to go through, mostly internally, but watching his journey, and his love for Eliza just grow with each and every page was so sweet. Yes I loved the danger and mystery. Yes I loved learning about paleontology and how women fit into that in this time period. But for me, Devin made the story.
Woodhouse fans will devour this stunning conclusion to an amazing series. Highly recommend! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Christmas Catch is not only a fantastic holiday read that will have you reaching for some hot cocoa and your Christmas decorations, it's a wonderful read for any time of year!
Let's start with the faith element. I have to say, I really found myself being a part of the church family underneath Pastor Walker. I don't want to get into the particulars, but it really made me reconsider my point of view on a certain person in my own life. It made me see a perspective that I never really thought about before. And while I know this is not the main point of the story, or even close to it, it really spoke to my heart. And the moment when Pastor Walker had a talk with Jahleel, (sorry not spoilers) I was moved to tears. His journey really touched me in ways I wasn't expecting.
Ok, let's move on to the romance. SWOONY. Full of laughter, banter, nervousness, and so much more. I loved Bebe and Jahleel. I also loved the way Jahleel instantly connected with Hope. My goodness there is nothing more attractive than a man who is good with children. I eat it up every single time! The chemistry was there, but more importantly there were lots of thought provoking conversations and situations. Again, I don't want to get into spoilers, but Shiloh handled everything perfectly.
This isn't your normal Christmas story and I am totally on board with that. It focuses on so much more than romance - something I think we need to see more of! I highly recommend Shiloh's latest release. It is well worth your time. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. Mandi Blake writes amazing characters. She keeps them real, doesn't force faith or circumstances on them. Makes them relatable, endearing, lovable, and sometimes even not lovable. She doesn't hide from certain "jobs" that her characters have because they are sinful, wrong, or anywhere in between. I love that about her, because it reminds me of a very important truth. God can save anyone right where they are. It doesn't matter what they've done - He still loves them.
For awhile, Gage was probably my least favorite character of hers. Why? Because I didn't like what he did. And ya know? Blake certainly turned my view on him around, which in turn made me think differently about people in my own life. I was concentrating on the bad, and not seeing the potential. But Blake.....she just writes in a way that you see things in a different perspective. You see the why Gage did things, and the struggle he had internally. I so appreciate that because I think I need that wake up call every now and then.
Of course, I can't not talk about the romance. My oh my it's good. The chemistry is on point, and there were several heart pounding moments that had me smiling and reaching for my fan all at the same time. Another thing I love about Blake's stories. They are full of good romance!!

Grab a fan because Ericson's heroes are some of my favorites, and Tank is no exception. Guys who are good with kids? Yeah it gets me every single time.
Here's the thing about not only Imminent Danger, but the entire series. Ericson writes amazing faith threads, keeps the suspense hot, the romance hotter at times (but still clean), and has you turning the pages as fast as you can. I think this is my favorite of the series. Tank.....I just love his character so much! Here's something to learn from him - don't judge a book by it's cover. He's a big dude, at least I imagine him to be (and look at that cover!!), but man he's a protective teddy bear on the inside. AAHHHHHH he's just the best!
Read this book guys. You'll thank me when you're done.

It's just so engaging, magnetic, entertaining, and speaks right to my heart. Her characters are relatable, real, vulnerable, make mistakes, and frankly just human. Rodewald doesn't make them into these perfect people, and that's what I love about her stories.
Lake Shore Awakening is a story of hope, love and so much more. With layered storylines, and characters I have grown to love, there wasn't a moment of this book I didn't love. I do recommend starting this series at the beginning so you can see how all of the characters progress over time. Plus the writing is fantastic so you won't want to miss it :)

Meeting Her Match is a story I've been waiting awhile for (Camilla is such a great character), and boy was it worth the wait. When her and Owen met for the first time, and I was essentially rolling on the floor with laughter, I knew I was in for a treat. And a treat it was.
Turano continues to bring a smile to my face with her stories. Camilla and Owen were such a wonderful pair - two people you wouldn't think would belong together, but oh did they belong together. I mean every time they were on the page together I was roaring with laughter, and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Then add a pig to the story - a literal pig - and the laughter just intensifies. I don't know how Turano manages to make me laugh on literally every single page, but she does.
Turano also provides a wonderful cast of characters here. Meemaw - well she just might be my favorite (if ya know, ya know). With a little suspense, lots of laughter, some almost kisses, and some shall we say interesting circumstances, readers won't be able to put Meeting Her Match down for even a second! Highly recommend.

My goodness I enjoyed this story. And right from the beginning Gabhart gets you with a proposal that literally comes out of nowhere. I mean I was laughing, but then intrigued to see where it would go. Here's where it went - a beautiful song of love, faith and family. Not your traditional family, but one that I think is even better.
Gordon, Mira, and Ada June had such a story. I loved that Gabhart included Ada June's POV because it added a layer of depth not only to her character, but to the overall story. The three POV's were woven together perfectly, and at times brought tears to my eyes. And while I loved getting to know these three characters, it was the faith lessons that Gabhart poetically wrote that really spoke to my heart. Most important - leaning on the Lord. Following Him even if it's scary, somewhere new, and comes out of the blue. I always love her faith threads, but this one - it might just be my favorite.

They not only bring gorgeous settings and loveable characters, but relatable faith walks as well. Such is the case when we read about Ellie and Carter. In truth, I could relate to both of their faith walks at one point in my life or another, one a bit more recent than the other. But it was such a wonderful reminder of how important our faith is. Our reliance on God to work out all the details that we can't (and shouldn't!). I needed to hear (read) that right now.
As important as the Gospel is to this story (and its' reader), I cannot forget to comment on the chemistry between Ellie and Carter. It was perfect. The arguing - I use that term kinda loosely - to the romance and everything in between. I honestly don't know which journey enjoyed better - them together, or each as individuals. They were that good.
All in all, With Each Tomorrow is a welcome addition to the Jewels of Kalispell series. I was delighted to return to such a fantastic place. I'm also anxious for the next book in the series, and will be counting down the days until it's in my hands!

Garber has created such a fun, whimsical and exciting world in Caraval. I mean, I know this may sound weird, but I kind of want to visit and play myself! The game that Legendary has created is so different from anything I've ever read, and I'm all for it. The chemistry between Scarlett and Julian was just right. And Garber had me guessing the entire game, I mean time, I mean while I was reading. Who is this Legendary!? And why is he playing such a twisted, yet imaginative game as this?
Guys, I've already borrowed the next two books from my library so I can keep going. I hope the fun, engagement and excitement continues with the series.

She really makes the 20's come alive with her characters, settings, and plots. But this story? Gosh I say this with every new release, but it might be my favorite, I LOVE Geneva's character. She's not afraid to be who she is, she's fiercely protective of her sister, and is a great actress (if you've read the book you'll know why I'm saying this!). And so much of this story is a spoiler, so I can't comment too much on it. But let's just say I love the romance, the wit, the everything. It shows the true meaning of trust, worth, and marriage.
I also enjoyed how McDaniel went back and forth in time (between "present day" and a few months prior). It gave you pieces that you needed just then, and not anything more. So you really are solving a mystery as Geneva remembers in her mind certain details. Oh and there's a plot twist that I did NOT see coming. That was a delightful surprise.

It only took a couple days to read and that's because work got in the way! The suspense of it all was great. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out, which I loved!!!
Here's what I loved most about the story:
Secondary characters are wonderful (I can't wait to see them in future novels!) Suspense was nail biting at times Romance was....... chef's kiss! Faith thread.....let's talk about that for a minute.
I really enjoyed the way Carlisle wrote Corina's faith journey. It was raw and open and just everything I didn't know I wanted it to be. It was something that myself, and I think a lot of other readers, can relate to. I don't want to spoil anything - but it was just so well written, so realistic, I loved it.

He'd do anything for the woman he loves, who also happens to be his best friend. Hedlund does such a fantastic job of writing this troupe. It's not always my favorite to read, because I think it has to be presented just right in order to make it work. And Hedlund makes it work.
The thought of a bride ship has always intrigued me, and I remember reading Hedlund's earlier series. I was so excited when I found out more were coming and she did not disappoint. She stays true to the history of the bride ship, as well as the setting. But she adds these great twists (like marriage of convenience - yes please!) that really enhances the story.

Let me start by saying this is my favorite biblical fiction novel ever. I have read a lot, from some amazingly talented authors. But there's just something about Kaufman's writing that is different. And for a debut biblical fiction author - wow. I am in awe. Her writing is beautiful, poetic, and simply breathtaking. I have never read a biblical fiction novel this fast before. I simply couldn't pull myself away.
Now, while I understand this is a work of fiction, I have to say that Kaufman's creativity to fill in the missing pieces from what we read in the bible felt so realistic and so on point. I could see Martha having these feelings, these issues, everything. And while we'll never know this side of heaven, it had me grabbing my bible and relooking at all I could read about Martha and her journey. It had me weeping when I thought about how Lazurus died, but then Jesus brought him back to life. It had me pondering what it would have been like to have Jesus in my home, having not yet decided if He was truly the Messiah or not, and witnessing things He did. How my heart would have changed, and how I would have reacted to different circumstances. Truly, this book was so thought provoking, and yet I didn't want to take the moments to think until after I had reached the end because I was totally engrossed with how Kaufman presented it.
Then there was the sweet love story between Martha and a name I'll refrain from saying so you can read it for yourself. I never really thought about that happening for Martha, but it certainly could have. And it was so well written. I have to stop there because I want you to see for yourself.
Heather Kaufman has exceeded any expectation I had of reading this novel. Far surpassed in fact. Readers of the faith will enjoy seeing Martha's story from her perspective. Historical fiction fans will enjoy it as well, as Kaufman just brings this time period to life in a way I've never seen done before. I encourage everyone to read this story. It is my #1 read for this year, and I imagine it will not lost it's spot. It touched my heart. It had me yearning for more time with Jesus. And when I got to the end, I was in tears (partly because of the faith theme and partly because it was over). Do yourself a favor and read it. Request your library to get a copy. Let your friends and family borrow it when you're done. I promise it will have a big impact.

Oh I had a lot of laughs at the eFaith. Love. Swoony-worthy moments. Adorable child. Ireland. Matchmaker with big dreams. What more could you ask for?
Oh I had a lot of laughs at the expense of Caty in this book. I remember in high school, it seemed all the girls swooned over the guy they shouldn't have. The guy who was a jerk to put it nicely. And Caty does the same thing here. Andrew. Ugh his character was horrid. But sometimes you need a horrid non-hero to make the actual hero of the story shine. And shine he did.
Donal was so sweet, and didn't even realize it. I love the connection that Deibel wrote for him and his daughter. They had a bond that couldn't be broken. If I'm honest, sweet little Sara stole the show a couple of times. She was probably my favorite character (I mean just read the book for her rendition of Sermon on the Mount alone - it was perfect). Sara reminded me that often times we need to see things the way a child does. Innocent and with great faith. And the fact that you could see her meddling in her dad's love life was quite sweet (and funny!).
But what really sold this story, aside from the fact that Deibel instantly pulls you into the setting and plot and doesn't let you go, is the almost slow burning romance between Donal and Caty. I mean we as readers always know what's coming - especially by reading the book blurb. But to see the characters figure it out for themselves in true Deibel fashion is always a joy to read. Caty had a lot of growing to do. She needed to realize that being who she truly was, wasn't a bad thing. She didn't need to run away to be happy. She didn't need the glitz and glam of city life so to speak. I enjoyed watching her journey and realization.
Historical Romance fans will thoroughly enjoy this new novel from Jennifer Deibel. The setting, the characters, the romance, all of it is just charming. Perfect. Well except for the bad guy lol. But even he was well written. After all, stories need a good villain once in awhile.

You get our amazing main characters - Christian and Andi, and by the way they are an AMAZING couple (more on that later). But you also get a little storyline with two side characters (not naming them so there are no spoilers) - and I think/hope that's leading us to book two. I love all four of these people.
Why?
The chemistry is spot on. Like chef's kiss. For both pairs. I mean I was basically giddy when reading them.
But I also love the way Christian sees Andi for who she is, and who she says she is. He doesn't believe what others say about her - right from the beginning. It made me immediately like him, and honestly it just showed his true character (SWOON). I feel like this novel had more romance than suspense, but I was okay with that. The suspense was just enough to keep me guessing, and seeing Christian and Andi working together to solve it made it even better.

ThI was hooked from page one right up until the end. If the rest of the series is as good as this one, this is hands down my favorite from Blackburn. There's danger, romance, swoony moments, tender moments, and so much more in this story. There's a couple of twists as well - one I kind of anticipated and one I didn't see coming until it was there.
