I’m so glad I decided to reread it before continuing the series, I forgot so many small (and huge) details. Lucky accident that this book became my 1000th read book here, so it’s really special.
The worldbuilding is exceptional, the characters are the most interesting I’ve ever read about and the story.. well, it’s going to be a 10 book series, so I have no idea what Sanderson has in store for us.
“Sometimes the prize is not worth the costs. The means by which we achieve victory are as important as the victory itself.”
I just cannot express my love for Bridge Four, these men are everything. Oh and Syl, of course. I know Kaladin has to go through all that sh.t and it hurts so much, but oh how satisfying it is when he has some small victories, I could (and did) cry.
I don’t think I’ll ever read another book that I would feel is better than this one, well except maybe book two? I’m starting it immediately, so I’ll report back. ...more

I loved the concept of how only one decision can alter a life completely, I think the author did a good job with it even if I’m not sure about that ending, I was expecting something else.
The characters, especially Hannah (other than her high bun and love for cinnamon rolls, which got irritating after a while), were so relatable, and the EMOTIONS!!
But I wonder how different my world would be if any of those thins had happened. You can’t change just one part, can you? When you sit there and wish things had happened differently, you can’t just wish away the bad stuff. You have to think about all the good stuff you might lose, too. Better just to stay in the now and focus on what you can do better in the future.
- The best advice ever.
I really really love Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books, I’m kind of saving them for when I’m in need of a read that breaks my heart a little. It’s going to be a sad day when I run out of her books.. only two more to go.
I get there eventually. That’s me in a nutshell. I’ll get there eventually.

I especially liked how he made me like some of the characters and then he killed them off in the most horrible way. That’s what you get for having FEELINGS.
This is the second book in the Stillhouse Lake series and it cannot be read without reading the first book I’m afraid. I was really nervous h4.5 stars
This is the second book in the Stillhouse Lake series and it cannot be read without reading the first book I’m afraid. I was really nervous how this book would turn out after the amazingness of the first, which ended in a way that I wasn’t sure the author could keep my attention for another 300+ pages, but I shouldn’t have worried, Rachel Caine knew what she was doing splitting this into two books! I was glued to the pages, so I guess that’s good!
If you read this expecting a mystery filled with twisty twists then you’re going to be disappointed, this is a full on thriller. I think it would make a great tv show.
Killman Creek was ugly and horrible and I loved it so much! It made me feel! Mostly hatred for Melvin.. so much hatred, I can’t even express it..
I see there’s going to be a third book and I kind of see what the author is planning and I’m interested, but I just wish she would leave Gwen alone finally!!

Also the violence was something I didn't expect and wish it was left out (really I considered giving it 1 star for that!), but otherwise this was an amazingly good thriller! I didn't guess what was coming at all..
This would be a great movie, one I wouldn't watch, though. I'm not even sure I'll be able to sleep tonight. ...more
