Izzy finds herself on the wrong side of Montez Flores with her prior actions resulting in his men apprehending her alongside Adelmo a scarred stone cold killer who also has a hidden agenda and a penchant for murder.
I really enjoyed this one, you should know it's dark and twisted as fuck so please do check your triggers before reading but if you like your fiction with sharp edges this one more than has you covered.
It's a prequel read to the main CNC series but can definitely be read as a standalone, it's only related in as such that it's set in the CNC world. Be aware that this is pure dub-con and at times also non-con as the boundaries here are very hazy. Our FMC Izzy is also kinda into the twisted nature of the encounters between her and Adelmo and she's his perfect counterpart. He's also fascinated that she seems to enjoy the depraved stuff he's into and saving Izzy at least initially is more about his own selfish motives, in as such that he's not yet quite finished with her.
This is a shorter read but it's also a pretty decent length. It's consensual non-consent, so expect plenty of delicious dubious deeds and descriptive on-page depravity If you're ok with the dark nature of this then you're good to go with this one.
It actually has alternative endings a nicer version and the more evil twisted one. Though I liked both I personally preferred the evil version, what can I say I'm just wired that way. The karma of it just really appealed to me and I love a good anti-hero who stays true to his nature, makes it all feel more authentic.
This was well written and though the romance is very dark I could still sense the bond between these two. It's more implied than voiced, but this one is truly a definition of a dark romance where the actual relationship is dark rather than just the scenario. If all the above sounds like your jam I highly recommend reading. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Killer Bones.

This was a really pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting it to be so heart-warming but it was. Melanie is having a bad day fired from her high-end job due to her father's crimes, her father's facing jail time, when an unusual offer from an unexpected place sees her agreeing to have a baby with a mysterious stranger all to spare her father his fate. If Melanie agrees to act as an incubator her father will be taken somewhere safe and all she has to do is take a year out of her life, for Melanie who has never wanted kids it seems the only option to save her father.
So Melanie finds herself in the middle of nowhere at a ranch with only Xavier for company. Xavier who insists he's her master and calls her my pet and later precious. Who feeds her by hand and expects obedience and control in all things. He treats her like one of his wild horses taming and earning her trust and it's not long before Melanie finds she's no longer just playing along, but actually wants this life and man for herself.
Xavier is a conundrum, a huge beast of a man who is methodical and stern but also gentle and kind he's a strange mix of all of these traits and there is a method to his madness and an end game. He also has trauma of his own, a mysterious past hence the isolation, he also has physical scars something that Melanie stops noticing the longer she is around him.
This was actually really heartwarming and such a sweet love story despite the initial beginning between these two and despite the majority of this it only being Xavier and Melanie, I wasn't once bored. Be aware this story has BDSM elements, nothing too extreme though. I'll definitely be picking up more from this author in the future.

I think this was my favourite and I'm keeping this brief. Here we get to see Fiona process and take stock she's a work in progress but is determined to take the reins and bring some control on her own terms, back into her life. First, she has to decide what and who she wants and the Elliot threads finally come to frustration threatening his career when the truth is finally revealed.
This brings us full circle before placing Fiona back onto the path of recovery. I absolutely loved that beautiful epilogue set in the future, witnessing first-hand and realising all of that potential had come to pass it was so heartwarming and also knowing that a certain someone got exactly what they deserved well that was the icing.

I'm not altogether sure quite what I think about this second instalment. It's well well-written and gripping reading but it has also left me feeling highly uncomfortable. At times It's not easy reading and Fiona's mindset and the things she processes as normal and ok are so out of the realm of relatable behaviour that it feels alien.
She also has a classic victim mindset taking and processing everything that happens internally and placing blame for everything on herself. She's a ticking time bomb awaiting detonation and she's already exploded once so it's just a matter of time for it to reoccur as her impulse control mechanism seems faulty. I'm also highly intrigued with how this is all going to end, especially regarding Deacon and Elliot. I appreciated the insights into Elliot's life and found his thought process and evolution fascinating.
This series it's definitely out of my comfort zone and very different to the stories I usually consume. Not in the sense of the content but all of the uncomfortable emotions it impacts in me. It's different that's for sure.

Such an intriguing and unique read, we are introduced to Fiona an out-of-control rich girl with a penchant for all things bad for her she has a sex addiction and a severe substance problem. When her latest escapade ends with her dominant in the hospital all fingers point to Fiona so she's placed in an exclusive establishment for further assessment and evaluation. Fiona has zero recollection of the events that have forced her recent admittance to Westonwood Acres but she is determined to prove her sanity and get back to her life.
Her doctor and therapist Elliot Chapman holds the keys to the door and is her ticket out of here through a series of hypnosis sessions she allows him insight into snippets of her life with Deacon her dominant. We only slightly dip our toe into Fiona's chaotic and turbulent lifestyle but it's enough to see her behaviours are ingrained and a coping mechanism and it's obvious there is some deeply buried trauma affecting her and contributing to her acting out.
Elliot Chapman for now is somewhat of an enigma he's also an unordained priest, I'm excited to learn more about him. This is all narrated from Fiona's POV and I'm interested and intrigued to discover more. Be aware though that this isn't in any way a safe read and it's highly explicit.
When Phoebe's friend vanishes after attending a CNC kink event that she procured the invitation for Phoebe is not prepared to sit on her [image] [image]
When Phoebe's friend vanishes after attending a CNC kink event that she procured the invitation for Phoebe is not prepared to sit on her laurels, she wants answers. She is prepared to go to extreme lengths to get them, even if that means entering this unfamiliar but equally intriguing world herself, with her family connections Phoebe reaches out and is introduced to Razor, under an alias of course. He recognises her as someone from his fellow members and friend's past. Marcus is actually an old boyfriend from high school of Phoebe's and they have some history, they also parted on bad terms so his feelings towards Phoebe are initially very complicated.
With missing girls and suspicions of corruption within the Fraternity Phoebe Razor and Marcus procure an invitation to a mysterious island, the plan to infiltrate and investigate but once there and as events begin to escalate they all begin to wonder if they will even make it off of the island alive.
I adored this book it's my favourite out of all of the CNC Fraternity ones and I think that's more than likely the addition of a suspenseful element to the narrative, it just upped it a level the additional suspense and mystery kept me on the edge of my seat and the dread of what may come kept me turning those pages. I've liked all of the stories set in this fascinating world including this spin-off but this for me also had an added extra component that just elevated it.
This was dark and twisted Cari's signature stamp and here she managed to strike just the correct balance in terms of the kinky fuckery, the suspense and then the fact that it was also obvious that Razor and Marcus had begun to care deeply about Phoebe. It was scorching hot, extremely explicit but also managed to be sentimental and even at times surprisingly sweet. Be aware the stories within this world focus on CNC, consensual non-consent and as such anything goes and they tend to be highly explicit and voyeuristic.
There was danger and heat and for a minute there I don't mind admitting I was getting seriously worried, I'm also not ready to say goodbye to these characters and I think the family that slays together should definitely stay together and they should for sure get another adventure to further expose the bad apples in there CNC world.
Also, can I say the phone total lol moment that was for sure enterprising and actually hilarious. I adored this one and it's getting a massive seal of approval from me. I now definitely want more from Marcus Razor and Phoebe. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Their Cruel Love.

Well, this one was certainly different and not in a bad way either: more of a particular area of fetish play, in this case, pet-play and if you asked me earlier I would have said Nah!! so not my kink but I actually found this surprisingly hot and steamy: who'd have thought.

This was a relatively quick read with elements of suspense thrown into the bdsm narrative. Yes, it starts out that he takes Nora to protect her after she witnesses a shooting at the flower shop where she works: but really this story concentrates mostly on the unique developing relationship between Nora and Greg and the suspense is more of a secondary aspect to this tale. I read this is one sitting and can honestly say though a different kink to what I am used to this was greatly enjoyed by me and was also really well written. I connected very easily to both main characters and though this is not some angst-filled epic it definitely has its place as an easy and at times fun read. A different but delicious story that I am happy to give a thumbs up to. I voluntary reviewed an Arc of becoming his pet. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

This was enjoyable and though not my favourite by this author I still found it entertaining and it was a fun read. It's a reverse harem [image] [image]
This was enjoyable and though not my favourite by this author I still found it entertaining and it was a fun read. It's a reverse harem and our girl Ari after a gaming convention finds herself being unexpectedly rescued by her favourite horror film characters, not that she had any idea of the danger she was in. Fast forward a few months and Ari is living her predictable boring life working in a book store when she decides to get herself another tattoo and instead gets more than she expected when she finally meets the lost boys.
The lost boys do sketchy stuff all highly illegal and they are very stabby and bloody with it, they also decide that Ari is now there's and since they saved her life it now belongs to them, she becomes their very own Wendy darling and despite putting up a token resistance it's not long before Ari is loving everything about her newfound family including there murderous ways.
Despite the dark themes this was very much a fun read, I do wish this had been a longer series as it did feel a bit rushed in terms of character connection and think this could have been achieved much better with some more time. I still very much enjoyed this and It was an easy quick read with plenty of delicious spice. Be aware this one is super hot and the men are also involved with each other so there's M/M as well. Expect lots of sexy shenanigans and sketchy behaviour.

I bloody loved this and it ticked every single one of my boxes I was initially so intrigued by the blurb it just sounded so fascinating and though this a new to me author I’d definitely read her again a million per cent. I was seriously impressed with this, I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be so good and it managed to surpass all of my expectations.
This had a bit of everything it had a taboo relationship at its centre Chandler was Cassandra’s mentor and professor, it also had an age gap, the heroine being in her mid-twenties and hero early forties. It was slow-burn and managed to expertly ramp up the tension until it all finally came to a delicious head and exploded in such an erotic scene. It also delivered on the romantic suspense front which subtly played out in the background. In fact, this part of the story was stealthily built and initially, I wasn’t aware it was going to be such an integral piece of the story.
The main theme of the book a circus and circus academy was such a big draw. I adored the fact that both Chandler and Cassandra were silk aerialists and the added bonus of Shibari was such a fascinating addition and also an extremely erotic experience. I liked both of the main characters and the slow-burn push-pull was brilliantly done. I was so invested in these two and as a couple, they had an adorable intensity that was incredibly endearing.
This was told from a dual POV so both Cassandra and Chandlers and the story is yet to conclude, fortunately, it didn’t end on a major cliffhanger which I was definitely glad about. But yep there’s still more to come and I definitely want to know what happens next. It was a well-written easy read with a riveting central theme and was the perfect blend of romance vs plot. I want the next book in my hands right now and can’t wait till it finally releases. This is definitely one I highly recommend reading. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Obedience.

For a serial killer stalker romance, this was also surprisingly sweet in a psychotic unhealthy way. Considering our anti-hero Virgil was slightly unhinged and obsessive he was all about consent with Sloan despite the way he initially stalks her watching from the woods. Sloan well she had her own issues mostly relating to an incident in her past. She’s currently now working at a campground living with her dogs one of those a trained service animal.
When she catches the eye of Virgil it’s game on as he watches her from the shadows befriends her dogs all whilst staking her and creeping into her isolated cabin. Sloan has her suspicions regarding the masked intruder's true identity and when they are finally confirmed she finds that despite the danger she wants to keep her stalker close. When Sloan’s past catches up with her it’s time to make a decision one that her new boyfriend is more than happy to assist her with.
I enjoyed this but it wasn’t really a dark read and the romance despite the dynamic still felt quite sweet and consensual. This is probably a good one for those wanting to dip their toe into darker waters before trying anything truly depraved. It was a well-written easy read and I will more than likely read the next book in the series.

Wow, I seriously adored this it’s book two in the series but definitely can be read as a stand-alone. The heroine here is Charity the best friend from book one and when this ensues our girl is in a pretty dark place she is also deeply traumatised a direct result of the events that precede this. I enjoyed book one a lot but this one managed to surpass all of my prior expectations and as usual, this author managed to stretch all of my usual boundaries so beautifully. For me, this portrayed the perfect balance of sadistic twisted dominance offset with some much-appreciated nurturing. Both men easily flipped their switch from one extreme to the other and Chasity got to sensually suffer and experience such sadistic delight which she more than enjoyed by the way and It was definitely appreciated by me witnessing both sides of the coin.
So after the events that led to Charity’s brutal attack, she finds herself left with some severely limited options. Now knowing far too much regarding the CNC fraternity and its exclusive activities she's a definite liability so accepting an offer from the Doctor seems the only logical way forward. Cassias is hired to keep tabs on the Doctor he also offers Charity a glimmer of hope that one day if she plays her hand right she may escape her island cage. But when the two decide to then share Charity they all enter into an uneasy alliance that slowly builds the foundations for something none of them even anticipated.
This had secrets and mystery and was also an easy page-turner. The chemistry between these three was electric and the scenarios described and the language used incredibly filthy but equally delicious. At the same time, I could also feel the strong emotional connection that had managed to develop here. I loved the eventual conclusion and the resolution this arrived at; this is a story that definitely delivers.
Such a well-written and engaging read that kept me guessing be prepared to have your boundaries stretched but definitely go in blind for the total immersion and the complete experience. This one is definitely kinky and hot as all hell but it also had an equally nurturing and Caring vibe much more so than its predecessor. Loved it and definitely recommend reading. Be aware though this one has plenty of triggers and delicious darkness and the romance is most definitely an unconventional one. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of His Talisman (CNC Fraternity #2)

I seriously enjoyed this and read it in one sitting always the sight of a good book. I adored the premise of a female serial killer on a crusade of personal vengeance out to harm those who prey on the vulnerable. Brie has been shaped by her past growing up in a cult her life has been filled with unimaginable abuse. This treatment culminated in her being dumped badly beaten and near death in the desert. It was here she found an unlikely guardian and teacher Samuel.
Samuel took the young girl and moulded her in his image giving Brie the tools she would need and setting her on her path of healing. Her rise from the ashes sees her taking control of her destiny and forging her own path now Brie is the darkness one that wears a mask of civility and her victims never see coming until it’s too late.
Brie is lethal and unapologetic in her intentions she knows what she is and revels in her nature. She takes pride in the fact that she is different. When she encounters Eli one of the facility professors she senses in him a kindred soul but finds herself annoyed by his conformity. Initially, she can’t stand him this is despite being also insanely drawn to him. It’s a new sensation for her and one she’s not sure she’s entirely comfortable with.
From the instant, Eli spots Brie in the coffee shop he’s hooked. But then he manages to leave a disastrous first impression and every encounter only seems to make things worse. There’s also the issue that she’s a student finishing her thesis not that she’s Eli’s so technically it’s not against the rules. Still, he is drawn to Brie anyway her apparent darkness and unique attitude only intriguing him more she doesn’t wear her usual mask for him and he finds himself wanting to break free from his rigid box for her.
When these two then connect it’s insanely hot. These two have so much chemistry together. The intimate scenes between them were explicit and toe curling and definitely not vanilla. We have toys choking and rope and so much more included this is definitely high on the heat scale. I also adored the dynamic these two shared and Brie for the first time in her life is getting a taste of what it’s like to be cared for so intensely. It’s all so new for her and she finds herself slowly opening up and trusting someone besides her mentor Samual but she’s also scared that when Eli learns the truth it’s all going to come crumbling down around her.
This had action and danger and heat and a very interesting subject matter. It’s dual POV which is my favourite and the writing was top-notch. I especially liked how Eli eventually accepted Brie completely for herself not expecting her to change her nature for him I love it when this occurs. I enjoyed this one immensely and I definitely recommend reading this it’s certainly a stand-out example in its genre and deserves all the stars.

I really enjoyed this erotic paranormal novella. It’s about an angel who falls for feeling lust for a human and it was as erotically stimulating as it was sweet and heartfelt.
So Ahnyil plummets to earth right into the arms of Adam he’s an ex SAS soldier who now takes on jobs as a freelancer. He also has some very particular kinks. Ones that initially he’s feels all sorts of mixed feelings about when it comes to the ethereal female and his lustful urges towards her.
This was dirty and sexy and all sorts of sweet. Ahnyil is everything Adam desires in a female but having suspicions over who she truly is, fills him with a deep-seated fear that she will disappear as mysteriously as she first appeared. The pain he delivers during their play together is the only thing he feels truly grounds her to him.
It was well written and dual POV and most definitely on the lighter scale when it comes to this particular author's work. I definitely recommend this though it’s a novella it managed to deliver beautifully. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Lust Angel.

This was an enjoyable read it’s quite a quick one but the characters still felt fully dimensional. It’s a contemporary romance with an unconventional subject and I loved the fact this story was set in a kink camp. I was drawn to this mostly because of the primal play I do appreciate a bit of consensual non-consent and here it was done very well. The play scenes were red hot with plenty of intensity and chemistry and I also appreciated the emotional connection that this also managed to impart. It didn’t just feel like cheap porn this actually felt much deeper and struck a good balance between the heat and the feelings. I liked both main characters and the initial anonymity only intensified everything. I liked that this was not instlove both characters recognised this was maybe the start of something special.
Both Grace and Lief are dealing with real-life stuff, Lief is finally allowing his grief to disperse from losing his wife to cancer but is also battling feelings of guilt for embracing new horizons. Whilst Grace is learning to recognise who she actually is as she’s been stagnating since her life derailed. This also introduces characters that will feature in their own books and I’m definitely now intrigued. This was actually a better read than I expected my first experience with this author and it was a good one.

I devoured this it just hit the right spot for me I adore age gap romances and this one had such a decadent kinky vibe that I really appreciated. It also had a bit of the forbidden being that she was his son's ex-girlfriend but mostly it was the dynamic between Charlotte and Emerson that I just adored. Be aware this one has quite a large age difference twenty-one to forty and also some Kink vibes as well nothing OTT but during the course of this Charlotte evolves and blossoms.
After splitting with her boyfriend Charlie needs the deposit on their apartment back but it’s been sent to her ex’s dad who was the co-signer. Needing the money Charlotte approaches Emerson and he instantly mistakes her for someone else causing a whole lot of I wish the floor would swallow me up when he realises just who she actually is.
Emerson is part owner of the Salacious players club initially working in the event industry he and his friends decided to branch out into a dating service that matches like-minded people with their kinks. The club is the pinnacle of their objective a safe place to explore mutual intimacies. Emerson is currently estranged from his son who doesn’t approve of his father's lifestyle thinking him a deviant and perverted.
In an effort to attempt to reconnect with him Emerson decides to hire Charlotte as his secretary hoping it will bring his son back into his life. The usual girls he hires are less secretary and more sub but that isn’t what he expects from Charlotte but now he can’t seem to get her off of his mind finding himself craving her in a way he didn’t expect and the longer he spends in her company the more perfect for him she seems.
This was relatively slow burn the sizzling tension and attraction ramped up so you could feel the crackling intensity and repressed desires. It’s quite apparent these two want nothing more than to indulge in all of their mutual urges together but Charlotte's ex is now the roadblock that stands in their way. Mostly because of Emerson and his desire for a relationship with his son. This was probably my only complaint here I felt Emerson places far too much importance on his son's feelings. The man was a grown-up and treated his dad abysmally he also wasn’t the best boyfriend constantly belittling Charlotte and he even cheated on her and then provided lame excuses I just didn’t think he deserved the consideration he got he wasn’t exactly a child and Charlotte had ended things before she even met Emerson. Though I did understand Emerson’s desire for his son back in his life so got why he thought the way he did.
The intimate scenes between these two were red-hot and the chemistry and heat incredible. I adored the praise kink and found it to be the best I’ve experienced to date in a romance novel. I loved how Emerson tried to encourage Charlotte to see her own worth even though I despaired at his flawed reasoning when it came to his son. I mean he was willing to give up a future with someone he loved and adored and was perfect for him in order to appease his son. I felt for Charlotte in this as you could see her wheels turning she just wanted him to acknowledge her right to her own happiness. I also appreciated the LGBTQ inclusion I have a family member going through a similar journey and think it was handled sensitively and also found it relatable.
This was a great read and I’m definitely going to dive into book two next. The writing here was an easy fit and this was well written. I definitely recommend reading this it exceeded my expectations by a mile.

I enjoyed this it was as expected excellently written but it just didn’t manage to grab my attention in the way I was expecting it to. I mean I adore Ristan he’s like one of my favourite characters in this series so maybe my expectations were a tad too high going in. I also think a lot of my dissatisfaction may have been due to the first 40% of this being basically a recap and I’d already experienced these same scenes previously just from a different perspective.
Saying that though I did like Ristan and Olivia as a pairing though at times Olivia did feel slightly wishy-washy but again maybe because of how strong a character Syn has been I was unfairly comparing them and Olivia is definitely no Syn. Still, this had plenty of heat some kinky shenanigans and the demon got his girl.
One thing I have to mention though was Danu’s inclusion. I didn’t want to participate in any of her games with Ristan especially the one with Olivia. I really wished she’d stayed more of a background thing as for me it definitely detracted from Olivia and Ristan’s emerging bond. But overall though this was still a decent addition to the series just not my favourite.
This actually turned out to be a really fun sweet romance novella and it’s definitely not a dark read so ignore the blurb as it’s a tad [image] [image]
This actually turned out to be a really fun sweet romance novella and it’s definitely not a dark read so ignore the blurb as it’s a tad misleading and Joker/Jack is so very far from the monster it implies. Yes, he has some specific kinks but nothing too out there. He also has a bit of a temper when his possessive streak is provoked but again it’s not towards the heroine Quinn.
This is a very insta story with everything happening at breakneck speed. Quinn goes to interview Jack for a magazine article. He’s a streamer and gamer with a sexy voice and he takes his privacy seriously so hides behind a mask whilst online to conceal his identity and goes by the moniker Joker.
The two are instantly attracted to each other so Jack proposes that for one night only he will rock Quinn’s world giving her a glimpse into how he likes to play. It’s all a bit cheesy but still seriously hot there’s a bit of kink involved nothing majorly extreme some mild pet play and praise kink, some minor degradation a bit of crawling and some restraints and a blindfold but honestly, it was all super mild and rather than being a monster Jack came across like a real sweetie. Then he takes Quinn out to his club to meet all his friends who of course instantly love her oh and did I mention that Jack is bloody loaded.
I do wish this had been longer than it was but I did enjoy it and thought it was well written. I’m not usually a fan of novella reads but this one hit the sweet spot for me. it’s all minimum angst and as I said previously very insta in nature which did seem to work for this and it has a HEA but yep just want to reemphasise that this is not a dark read I wouldn’t even class it as grey either.

Well, this one was full of delicious darkness with lots of triggers. The focus of the story is consensual non-consent but with a difference and what Emme initially signed up for isn’t quite where she finds herself at now. Not knowing if she’s really been kidnapped or if it’s all just a big mind fuck Emme finds herself living out all of her basest fantasies but with the very real fear that something may have gone terribly wrong and that she could really be in real danger.
We have two Male leads here Grayson who thinks and knows he’s a lot wrong and twisted and Axl who is so so much worse and Grayson is the only thing preventing him from taking things too far with Emme he’s definitely the conscience here slight though it may be.
This had me on actual tenterhooks with what could happen next it’s definitely on the darker end of the spectrum and pushed some real boundaries. it's very well written and draws you in almost instantly. This one is definitely a recommendation for those of you who like dark and twisted reads with emphasis on the dark.
