It has so much more depth than the cover indicates. Although it also has fun and humor as well ;) Tessa and Ethan are so good together! They are both highly intelligent, driven, and confident engineers. It was eye-opening to see a bit of how a branch of that industry operates, the mix of creativity, innovation, pragmatism, and solution-finding. The new spark of attraction in an old friendship brings the anticipation of potential romance, but the short-term nature of Ethan's assignment puts a damper on things. Throw in an unexpected baby, and you would think that would put an end to things, but it only provided an impetus to bring them closer together- for Ethan to encourage and support Tessa, and for her to see a deeper side of him. Their relationship develops naturally with a few bumps along the way, but the tension and anticipation made the chemistry that much stronger. I absolutely loved how each member of Tessa's team had such unique personalities and their own way of showing they care through finding solutions in their own special ways. Ethan's mom was a fun addition to the story and I loved their close relationship. This story was a pleasure to read and it's one I already want to read again!

Love for All Seasons was a perfect reading experience! As soon as I finished one story, I couldn't wait to start the next one. Each story was unique and imaginative, with details that helped me imagine the historical settings and mannerisms of the characters without detracting from the pacing of the plot. I felt like I cared about what happened next, and was invested in the happy ending from the first chapter of every story. There is an inspirational thread of faith woven in that was uplifting and touching. Of course, the sweet romance is what I love about these stories and the author skillfully developed chemistry and tension that builds as the main characters grow closer together while overcoming obstacles to their relationship. It's interesting that I can share the same praise for all the stories but the premises and details are so different. It was too hard to pick a favorite from the four stories set in each of the four seasons, so I recommend reading them all and deciding for yourself ;) Can't wait to read more from this author!

I loved seeing another side of Pearl and how she and Nelle bond over their broken hearts. Most of the time Pearl is wise and caring, with a twinkle in her eye, but in Love is Come we see a glimpse of the sorrow beneath the surface. The contrasting settings of the city and country are both interesting to see Nelle struggle in. They each present trials that are almost overwhelming to her. Mathew is a bright spot in her days, even though she feels she must hold back from him. the way he helped her deal with her grief was sweet and showed the compassionate nature he had. While the plot was interesting I didn't quite feel an emotional connection to the characters, but I still enjoyed the story and would recommend it, especially to those reading all the books in the series. (Each book is a completely different story with Pearl as the matchmaker the only connection).

She has endured abuse from her family, her husband, and now her husband's heir. She's a woman living in fear, which takes a toll. It's hard for me to understand her and what she puts up with, but thankfully she finally allows her friends and Lord Radcliffe come to her rescue. The beginning of the book was a little difficult for me to get into because of the choppy dialogue between the large group of friends, sometimes the number of characters is a bit overwhelming. I enjoyed the perspective of Graham the most since he's a pretty steady man and finds himself intrigued by Edith. They have sweet chemistry and some special moments that show their emotional connection. We get some new secondary characters to bring even more personality to the story with Graham's Aunt Eloise and niece Molly, who are both delightful, as well as Amanda Perry who joins the Spinsters as a champion for Edith. I appreciated that the setting was in both London and in the country, giving some variety and a fresh feeling midway through the story. The villain was very dastardly, and provided the impetus for Edith to move away from her self-isolation and reach out to her friends for the emotional support she needed. I'm already looking forward to the next in the series!

I read each one at the end of a long and tiring day, and was completely transported and uplifted. In the first story I loved Eloise and her conflict between attracting Neville without attracting others necessarily. He's a bit of an idiot, but a likeable one, especially when he admits the reason for his jealousy and fumbles his opportunities for "helping" Eloise :) The second story was classic Carla Kelly, I just love her writing style and tone- it's so unique in the Regency genre. I enjoyed the sweetness that quickly develops between Able and Meridee, and was fascinated by his background and journey. The last story was one I found interesting as well because of the aspect of mental illness and how it was handled during that period in history. Jane had some deeply troubling times in her past which are only vaguely referred to, and the author chose to focus more on her current situation of now having the support of caring family. The dynamic between her and Archie is tender and they both learn more about each other and making the best of things when the perfect holiday doesn't go quite as planned. I loved all these stories equally and I will definitely be re-reading this collection in the future. Highly recommend!

Each story was set in Bath, England during the Regency era, and it was so fun to learn historical details about that location. The first story by Julie Daines was full of drama, intrigue, and emotional turmoil (without being melodramatic). The friendship and affection that develop between the vulnerable Marianne and protective Mr. Northam balances out the darker parts of the story, and I loved how everything wrapped up. The second story by Caroline Warfield was a delight, and since I haven't read anything by this author before I'm looking forward to seeking out her other books. Lucy's sweet and compassionate nature make her a perfect match for the charming Edmund who is looking to turn his life in a direction different from his parents' expectations. The last story by Jaima Fixsen has plenty of kissing as the title implies, and while I liked the characters, their relationship seemed too based on physical attraction. It was still a fun story and finished the collection off nicely.
