So, she dresses as a pink flower, and her brother dresses as a yellow one. Their father tells them that is not what "flower girl" means. The children assume that they misheard it, and that it is really "flour girl", meaning that they should toss flour around. Much as they enjoy making a mess of the kitchen, Pinki knows this isn't it. Finally, her mother explains that "flower girl" means you toss flowers at a wedding, and that she will be one soon. Pinki is excited about this....more
I was recommended this series by a few people, so when Edelweiss offered the chance to read and review a volume from it, I was excited and went for i I was recommended this series by a few people, so when Edelweiss offered the chance to read and review a volume from it, I was excited and went for it. This is the 11th volume, so I missed alot of the story, but I did still enjoy reading it. I am interested in reading the other 10 volumes now. Also, I hear there's an anime of this, so I might watch some of that later on as well. ----------- The main character is a human Kamisama named Nanami. She is a nice girl, but also somewhat insecure. She is always iffy about trusting men. She is afraid that the same things that happened to her mother will happen to her, if she gets married, so she is always somewhat on the defensive around men, When she goes into her 12-year torii, she doesn't return soon, so her friends start to worry. This worry causes them to go after her, which allows them to see her past and meet her as a child. Tomoe even proposes to her! She runs across a fox, and talks him into returning to his owner, so that they can go get their ofuda there. Later, she wants to make ofuda of her own, and Tomoe disapproves of her paper ones, so they attend a hidden market together to get wood to make wooden ones. ----------- The only stories I cared for in this manga were the Nanami and Tomoe ones.
