** spoiler alert ** 5 🌟 for such a fun, enjoyable book in my favorite genre!
4.5 🌟 overall as there is some language and crude humor.

Watching Jeopardy at my grandma’s house was a fun nightly tradition if there wasn’t a Twins game on!

Alex Trebek has truly become an American icon and he shares so many interesting facts in this book!!

• He lasted only 3 days at military college.
• The man who wrote the theme song “Think” for Jeopardy receives $3 million annually in royalties.
• His marriage life is unique- divorcing his first wife only to buy the house across the street, then marry someone 24 years younger than him!
• He began swearing to “get in” with the Hollywood crowd, but it didn’t work yet the habit stuck.
• He became close with Ken Jennings on his 74 game winning streak. Alex teared up when he lost.

Trebek seems like a very gentle, caring soul-reminding me of Mr. Rogers in a way. He shares his story, then his thoughts on a variety of topics. He’s tired of politics on both sides, etc. He’s open about his cancer journey and how hard it’s been. The ending was sad as he may die this year. The book just came out in July 2020 so he talks about COVID-19 and how it’s brought his family closer.
