The Debater
Two friends often go shopping together, the one, Wendy, has been to college and has learned to debate. When a man loses a twenty dollar bill, Wendy picks it up and pockets it. Her friend protest, but Wendy uses her debating skills to overcome this. Now, this is based on a true story, and I question how anyone could debate the issue. The money belongs to the man; there is no “finders keepers.” The next time they go out her friend shoplifts, which could have involved her friend if caught. So do you drop the friend or just tell her if it happens again your friendship will end or do you do something else?
