What a plot twist at the end of this one! Looking forward to the end of this series in the next book. As far as characters go, we love Penelope and the Incorrigible Children. They are just such precious little beans. The addition of the Babushkinovs was unexpected and interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out in the next book. The difference in Fredrick was nice to see, and of course, the utter obliviousness of Lady Constance is at a max in this one. And of course we still love to hate the scheming Edward Ashton. The whole scene at Left Foot Inn was hilarious. These books are really funny. I hope my granddaughter loves this series as much as I do when she gets a bit older.
