it was amazing
bookshelves: fabulism, fantasy, fiction, graphic-novels

If I were rating this for just the writing, I think it would actually be 4 stars. The stories in this act of the whole collection don’t mesh as well with each other as those in the first act, and I’m not as interested in all of them as I am in others. This is an issue I had with the written series as well. However, I do appreciate the rewrite that Wanda’s story got. It’s much more accepting and nuanced than the original version, and I’m happy Gaiman decided to give it more attention. In addition, this act does have one of my favorite storylines in it, which is the one in which Lucifer (yes, the devil) quits his job and Morpheus gets the key to Hell and then has to decide what to do with it. This story is what inspired Lucifer (the show), which I love (ok a lot of that has to do with Tom Ellis but it’s a fun show to watch in general, I swear). My five star rating is because, just like act 1, the production of this is just so impressive and well done. Lots of care went into the entire project, and you can tell while you’re listening. Special shout-out to Rege-Jean Page, who can apparently sing BEAUTIFULLY, and in GREEK, no less! I’m definitely pumped for Act III!
