Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted my copy of this book.

So, here's the thing, right? I have, up till this year, tried to avoid Christmas stories. I've no idea why, and a few sneaked past my defences, but this year? THIS year?? The Christmas stories have been a-bloody-mazing, and now I have three that are stand out, this book being the third.

Logan and Remy meet at a festival, and there is a kiss and then, they are gone. Months pass and then Remy finds himself face to face with his new landlord's nephew. The same guy who has haunted his dreams for months.

There follows a wonderful, wonderous tale of two men falling in love with the PERSON, when they are already in love with the IDEA, you know??

Logan is struggling with his ex wife, twin boys, a difficult job and a house that has a thousand and one things that need fixing but Logan has no time. Remy is down on his luck, and finding the workshop up the hill from Logan's is a blessing. Unable to fire dance since an accident, Remy has been living out his van, which is one hole away from falling apart. Finding Logan down the hill is his dream come true. But Logan is struggling and Remy can help. The problem is, neither will give in to the other's help.

I loved this, I really did. Some 200 pages of snark and sneak, of love and laughs and everything else inbetween. I loved that both Logan and Remy have a fight on their hands with the other. I loved the boys and how they know, they KNOW Remy is right for the their dad and they attach to Remy in the best possible way. I loved that, towards the end, I did like the ex wife. Logan made her seem so bad, but actually she wasn't. She knew that if her boys loved Remy, then she will give her blessing.

Relatively low on the angst scale for everythign except the relationship between Logan and Remy. THAT is high. Both men have been hurt and it gets a bit emotional in places.

HIGH on the smexy scale though! I loved that it took them time to fully consummate their relationship. Logan's accident makes him really see how he feels about Remy and I loved that it was the first thing he thought of once he came round.

I could go on and on, but I'm gonna wrap up with this:

Read the damn book!

Adding this to my Masterpiece shelf, cos I think it might well be Ms Leigh best book.

5 full and shiny stars
