I enjoyed the audiobook because both McCarthy and Sam narrate. It was nice to hear Sam, the son’s voice as well as his father’s.

A travelogue of a journey to Santiago de Compostela made by Andrew McCarthy and his 19 year old son from his first marriage who he hoped to reconnect with. McCarthy was only partially successful but he got to watch Sam try out his wings. There were also a lot of spats and anger - probably to be expected.

It’s hard to say if they gained any insights about life on their road except that they did it and the hard way!
