3.5ish

I felt this book was a little bit disjointed. I’m still trying to find my favorite Advent book. It wasn’t a streamlined look at the advent. Every day was a different thought and no continuity till the last few days.

A lot of it dealt with sin and death and hardness which makes us look forward to His coming. I did appreciate the last three or four days and gleaned the most from those days. Thankful he is still writing my story. At the end of each day, there is a section that you can use with your kids.

“One of the most beautiful things about the Christmas story is that it doesn’t offer just my past forgiveness and future hope, but everything I need right here, right now.”

“Because the Christmas story is meant to help you interpret and understand your story, it’s important to slow down and take time to meditate upon this amazing story of mind blowing grace. “

Paul David Tripp
“You see, the Advent story reminds us that our past, present, and future hope rest not on our willingness, but on the willingness of the One for whom the angels sang, the shepherds worshiped, and the magi searched. Willing Jesus is the only hope for unwilling sinners!”
