Rating: 4.5/5 🌟
Spice: 3.5/5 🌶️
C.L. Rose has become a one click favorite author. I'm fairly certain she could write anything, and I'd end up loving it. I'm obsessed with her heroes. They are the type of men you want in real life.
This follows Maverick and Bella.
Maverick is a professional football player and Bella is a famous popstar that is going to be playing the halftime show.
To build some publicity they are set up to pretend they are in a relationship. The night they meet turns into a bit more than just friendly conversation. And one night is not enough for either of them. The more time they spend together the more the line between real and fake becomes blurry, and feelings start to develop.
This novella is fun, easy and quick to read, funny, high heat, and swoony. I loved Maverick so much. He's so thoughtful, attentive, and protective of Bella. He's patient, adoring, and has a wonderfully filthy mouth. Bella is sweet, a bit innocent, and blooms throughout the story.
I loved this so much and cannot wait for more in the series!
