This one had a bit of a different vibe to the prequel (which I loved!) and I wasn’t expecting this to be a polyamory relationship as I went in blind, so that threw me a bit off kilter. I think had I not read the prequel first I might have annoyed this more? I like the world, still, and the writing, so hopefully will settle in a bit more with the next one. 3.5 stars rounded down only so I have room to move for comparison…
